Stopped in to get a resonator delete on a Benz e550 coupe. Was quoted a great price and the job was done right. Sounds like it should now. Not loud and no drone but just perfect above 2k rpm. I highly recommend this simple mod for anybody with the M278 engine. Alan does quality work

I call to do a costume muffler in my Volvo and the lady on the phone tell me that was illegal. I never tell her to do nothing on the catalyst just the resonator and muffler so i dont know what she was talking about. I whent to another muffler shop they donthe job the right way. if u whant costumers go to your business u need to be kind.

I was in the process of packing to leave town and noticed that the extension on my tailpipe from the muffler had rusted through and had literally fallen off. I called Discount Muffler and Custom Exhaust in a panic, explained that I was trying to leave town but had this issue and needed it repaired ASAP.They called me back within 20 minutes and said to come on by this afternoon and they’ll have the piece repaired in less than 45 minutes. We did and they did! The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, did outstanding work at an incredibly reasonably price!! Very happy, will highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for quality, reasonably priced muffler/exhaust work done!!

At first I thought the lady on the phone was rude but once I got there she was super friendly. She just has a dry sense of humor. They put dual exhaust on my 2018 Chevy Silverado and I couldn’t be happier with the work. Everything is tight, great sound and good price. I highly recommend them.

This is a review based off calling them and not a visit but the phone call deterred me from wanting to visit. I called for pricing on a muffler delete and resonator delete and the lady on the phone seemed very uninterested in discussing details with me when I asked about possibly doing a full custom exhaust instead. She asked me if i had a “fart cannon” exhaust on my car and when I asked they would take my current exhaust off for me to hear it she said they wouldn’t “do all that shit” for me to say I don’t want anything else done and that it’s “not gonna happen”. She didn’t have a good tone on the phone and made me feel like I shouldn’t even be bringing my car in. They may do really great work based on the reviews but I want to go to a shop that sounds like they care about their potential customers as well as their current ones.

I usually don’t write reviews on anything but this places is en exception. Best muffler shop out there. I took my Infiniti G35 for a muffler delete and all I can say is that I do not regret anything. People usually think the lady is mean but she can actually be ver kind and nice. People can just confuse her humor and think she is rude or mean but at least with my experience she was very nice. Now, the job overall was great. Alan did a great job. He would measure everything and take his time. He was extremely careful with my car and I am just extremely happy with the outcome. If you want a good job done to your car with great prices this is a no brainer.

Great place! I had went to 2 other places before a friend referred me to Discount Muffler. I am glad I went! As a woman, I always feel I am getting taken advantage of when I walk in to a repair shop. The lady in the office was very friendly, informative and took me out to my car to show me the repairs I needed. The cost was less than half of what the other shops told me! They had me back on the road in less than an hour in a quiet car! I will definitely recommend Discount Muffler to all my friends!

Quick and reasonable

While on vacation in Florida with my family, the exhaust pipe on our van broke. I was in a tough spot; Im in an unfamiliar area, I dont know anyone to ask, and I have to get it fixed quickly. Id be the dream customer for an unscrupulous mechanic, and I knew it.I checked a bunch of places on Google and saw the high ratings for Discount Muffler & Custom Exhaust. Even though it was 30 miles away, I thought it would be worth it to try them out first. Im glad I did!There was a long line of customers when I get there at 9:30am, but figured it was better to wait and have it done right and at a fair price. Teresa got me in pretty quickly and Alan did an awesome job getting the van fixed without needlessly replacing a bunch of extra stuff. He was able to make a couple cuts and build a custom-bent pipe to replace the broken area - this is the difference between a craftsman and a run-of-the-mill shop! What could have run me thousands at another shop, cost me a couple hours and $110.You can trust Alan & Teresa to fix just what needs fixed at a fair price, nothing more, nothing less. Beyond that, itll be done right.I know Teresa gets a bad rap from some of the other reviews, but in talking with her, I found out that shes often up all night caring for the horses she rescues - after that, anyone would be tired & cranky. Beyond that, she often has to deal with customers who are already having a bad day, many of whom have unrealistic expectations about the cost or viability of their requested repairs.Heaven forbid I need another repair on vacation in central Florida again, but if I ever do, Ill come back to Discount Muffler & Custom Exhaust, and my new friends Alan & Teresa!Thanks guys!!!

I went here recently to get a new exhaust installed on my car. I believe this shop is run by a couple, the guy does the work on cars and the lady is the receptionist. From the moment that I stepped in to about 2/3s of the way through the installation the lady was on her phone with somebody, even when she was driving my car (a manual) up the ramp onto the lift!!! She was also struggling with putting my car in reverse and when she had to drive it off the lift she got out and nastily said to me, you just do it, I cant find the gear as if it was my fault that she couldnt do it. On top of that she had the stench of cigarettes on her and was pretty rude, as if she had better things to do and didnt want to be bothered by customers coming into her husbands business. She just had a bored, pissed off look on her face the whole time.On the other hand, the guy was very kind and I believe he did a good job with the installation. Because I didnt want to sit next to the cigarette lady I just stood outside and spoke with the guy as he was installing the exhaust. He was friendly and he seemed like he cared about doing a quality job on the cars that he works on. He definitely saved this review and I hope that they do something about their attitude problem (cigarette lady) because I think hes a good person and deserves the business. However, I wouldnt recommend it as long as that lady is there being incredibly rude to people for no reason. I probably wont be coming back unless something with the install goes wrong.

After using Discount Muffler for over 25 years for custom exhaust systems for my muscle cars, Ive had a really bad experience with Alan, the owner. I took my 1971 Buick GS to him to install a mandrel bent custom exhaust system which I had purchased from a nationally known supplier of exhaust systems. This is an identical system which Alan has installed for me on several of my previous muscle cars. It is made specifically for my vehicle and needs only the tweaks and custom fitting that most custom exhaust shops are used to. Alan began installing the system and after becoming frustrated with how it was fitting, he threw down one of the pipes and, without any further explanation began reinstalling the old pipes that he had removed from the car. All he could offer was that he didnt want to mess with it any longer and that it wouldnt fit anyway. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. In years past he has always done excellent work on my cars, even those that required custom fitting. Im afraid that is no longer the case. This shop advertizes that they do custom exhausts but you should be very careful before using them for that, in my opinion. Sorry, Alan. You are no longer the man to go to for custom exhaust needs.P.S. And, by the way, I have gone to another custom exhaust shop in the area and they have installed the system to my satisfaction.

The office personnel and shop employees here were both very inviting. The work that was done was exactly what I wanted and the car sounds great. As a women you feel like you always have a target on your back when you walk in to any car repair shop. I was quite surprised when I walk in this business! Teresa at the counter knew exactly what my problem was as soon as I explained. Her knowledge and kindness put me at ease. Alan had my car up and and out the door in no time. The price was very fair and better than a couple of places that I had went to. Would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.

While searching for a place to get the resonators removed on my 08 mazdaspeed 3. I came across Discount muffler, gave them a call, and they gave me a quote for half the price of other shops. The next day I arrived at their shop, I first spoke to the women at the front counter, she seemed a little grumpy but no big deal really. Alan on the other hand seemed like a great guy, very easy to talk to and overall very good customer service skills. The work came out great and was done quickly, I would definitely recommend discount muffler and custom exhaust!

Got a muffler delete on my car, went in 1 day and had them check out what would need to be done - we ordered some tips from their catalog. Came in the next day once the tips came in and they had the job done in 45 min. Looks great, sounds great, and the price was almost exactly what I was quoted and prepared to pay.

They took care of correcting my exhaust which needed to be rerouted after I lowered my truck. They liked it up nicely and managed to do it while still letting it be clamp on so that if I sold my exhaust itd be in tact as it came. Thank you!

Alan installed my Gibson Cat-back exhaust on my 1989 Toyota XtraCab V6 pickup. He had to make a custom intermediate exhaust pipe to get this to work. He got it all done in a very professional manner in 1 hour. Previous excellent reviews are confirmed by my experience. I highly recommend Alan and Discount Muffler & Custom Exhaust.

Quick 30 minute install of my corsa extreme exhaust. Used an impact wrench instead of torque wrench and didnt apply anti-seize on exhaust clamps. He was careful with not over tightening, though. 9/10 would come again.

Allen did a system from the manifolds back on my 64 Malibu years ago.The job was excellent and the system sounds great today. I am nowrunning duals on a in line six cylinder in a 1970 Nova. from new manifoldsback. I am confident that Allen will not only know what is best, but will alwaysgive me the best price available.

My MBRP dual exhaust was installed incorrectly(rattling badly) on my F150 at 4WheelParts in Nashville, TN. The one here in Orlando referred me to Allens shop because they couldnt fix it. It took less than 45min for Allen to fix the problem and send me one my way. Allen did an excellent job on my pipes. Highly recommend going here for exhaust repairs or installation.
