Valet parking on Livingston in the front of the restaurant and a public parking garage with entrance on State Lane. Be aware ... The parking lot is a bit dark and twisty. Recommend their valet parking.

Great ambiance and amazing happy hour! 2:30pm to 6pm every week day. All the food was great! The smoked eggplant dip was to die for. Cocktail shrimp was also a hit. Nice vibe inside and great outdoor space!

Stopped in for a quick lunch during work- great experience! Savannah was wonderful; friendly and responsive. The decor is a tasteful mix of modern and industrial chic. We were dining at your restaurant on Saturday, September 18th with our foodie friends.. Our server was Ricardo. Please use my review as constructive criticism and a learning opportunity for your staff, not as any disciplinary action towards employees. --Dianeuctive criticismUnfortunately our Magical Dining experience wasnt very magical. It was really a big disappointment, truth be told and we had all looked forward to our dinner together. And from what I heard in the ladies room and overheard the servers talking, it wasnt too magical for others as well. My selection began with the wings for appetizer. I have never been served wings that were still attached, so it was interesting separating the two pieces. The spices on the wings were good, but extra salty. I also tasted the ham and cheese beignets which were really just round balls that were not served with any temperature heat whatsoever. I ordered the NY Strip steak, as did 2 others in my party. When it was delivered, there was no indication which cooking temperature was which, so we had a bit of musical plates to find the right steak. My first bite had grizzle in it which was very unpleasant. The shoestring fries (frites) were over-salted. Usually, I can find some redeeming quality in the dessert. My choice was the browned butter carrot cake. Three of us agreed it was the strangest carrot cake wed ever had served to us.The plate presentation was nice with a drizzled caramel sauce pattern. Our total bill was over $100 for food we did not enjoy. Our server never came back to the table to ask if everything was ok or to offer coffee with dessert or an after dinner drink. My soda was never refilled. As a table, we agreed to tip accordingly. Just a very disappointing dining experience overall. With all the magical dining experiences offered, we chose DoveCote for our dinner together and left wanting better service and better food. I must add that our friends did enjoy their mixed drink selections, however.

Went there for a Lunch, ended up being more of a Brunch. Food was good, I think fair for the price but the onion and sandwich were too salty (literally) for our taste. Menu has great options to choose, we specially liked the drinks and wine selection. The service was fast and waitress very nice and helpful. There’s complimentary parking on the back.

THE best Reuben Ive ever had and there have been plenty. I dont know how so much flavor was packed in to those frites! Compliments to Chef Jason and his staff. We highly recommend you try DoveCote...you will not be disappointed.

Lovely restaurant in the middle of downtown Orlando. The happy hour starts early. The marble bartop and comfy barstools made it so enjoyable to stay for a few drinks. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I recommend the truffle popcorn...so good!!! The staff was attentive and welcoming. We came on a Tuesday, so it wasn’t terribly crowded. Really loved it and will be back.

Savannah and Casey were amazing! They were on top of everything and the food was amazing! The salmon burger was fabulous and the ham and cheese beignets and croissants were superb! Casey is not just a server but also a comedian. Savannah was excellent and very knowledgeable and detail oriented. I will be back and when I go I will be asking for these amazing servers. Thx for such a great experience for our brunch.

Had reservations and was standing by the host booth and 3 people working there were just standing around and avoiding eye contact with anyone waiting to speak with them. Wouldn’t check us in and told us they have no idea how long the wait will be after standing there for 20 minutes. Let others ahead of us just because they rudely cut in front and demanded seating. Rude and unprofessional. Manager could not talk to someone without touching their entire arm like a sweaty weirdo. Did not stay to eat. Won’t come back until new management is in place.

A coworker recommend this place for brunch, so my friend and I decided to give it a try for dinner. What a disappointment. The hostess was unhappy, disinterested and we were the ones that greeted them. We sat at the bar and the bartender that took our order was unhappy and took forever to give us 2 glasses of champagne. He only brought one, at that time they were 3 couples at the bar and the restaurant was extremely empty. How can he forget about the other one? He didn’t apologize or at least mentioned that it was coming, so he did forgot. But, we order some appetizers and reminded him of the drink, and for that he got attitude. In the meantime he decided to go to the corner of the bar to talk to another employee. He wasn’t even facing the bar to make sure everybody was taking care of. Isn’t he supposed to be there making sure drinks are served and the customers don’t need anything else?? In order to get refills we had to wave our hands like weirdos while he was in his little corner talking and cleaning glasses. We order a second round and sparkling water when the food arrived. Wings were cold and salty and it was difficult to eat them, without making a mess. We also gave a try to the ham & cheese beignets, another cold meal with little flavor. Unfortunately we were almost done with it and drinks were not served. Patiently we ask for the second round, for the second time, the guy he was talking to gave us a look. That’s when we realize that this staff don’t like to work. They just like to look pretty, talk among themselves and look low-spirited while at it. We gave up and asked for the check, that took forever to get. Let’s be honest, the 2 upscale restaurants (very close to this one) in the same busy area, had no tables available but this place managed to be almost empty. Where is the manager and/or owner of this place? Everybody here are in need of a business etiquette course, words like good night, welcome, how was everything, etc. are not part of this staff vocabulary. Service is terrible and the food is average.What could’ve been a nice evening of drinking and eating turned into a quick stop that cost us too much money compared to the experience.

I Was so disappointed in that place . We had party of 8 .our waiter was very nice however the service was extremely slow . I order the smoked eggplant. it was bland . Other than smokiness it did not had any other flavor . I had to put so much salt and pepper to eat some of it . I also order bone marrow however they forgot to bring it to the table after I asked for it . He admitted that he forgot to put the order in . I order the duck for my dinner and I made sure that the duck is medium rare. He assured me that it will be . Presentation was beautiful however the duck was medium well and the food was very bland . I did not touch the food and told the waiter to take it away . Their .manager did not even stop by to apologize or offer to make another one .After dinner ask for espresso and I was informed that they are close . Needless to say I will not be going back . Horrible experience. Overall drinks were good service was below average and the food was horrible .

Love love love this place! We came for happy hour and dinner. The employees were extremely courteous and the food was very delicious. We got seated at a table next to the window and all the guests were socially distanced as well. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great dinner experience in downtown Orlando.

The atmosphere is nice. The staff is well trained and efficient and friendly. I felt like the food— although cooked perfectly— lacked some layers. The smoked eggplant dip was huge— but just bread and dip. Maybe adding something interesting like a flavored oil or some pomegranate seeds... just a thought. We didn’t finish that because after a while it was the same taste. The duck breast was cooked perfectly and the whole dish was delicious! The steak frites was quite good but we should have ordered a vegetable to go with it. Finall, the carrot cake was perfection. The macaroon trio had one delicious pistachio— memorable even— but the red and blue ones lacked any flavor. Overall nice place!

Beautiful Atmosphere, Friendly waiters and waitress, Food was Delicious 😋 I really loved the onion soup with oxtail, that was on the top of my list! Chicken Sandwich was tasty, like the spicy/sweet sauce on it. I would recommend this place.

I’ve been here twice for brunch and I’m not a fan of any of their food :| but the mimosas are always nice. Customer service is good and I like the overall venue. My bf also enjoys the cheddar biscuits with the special berry sauce.

Its a cozy place where pieces during the Happy Hour time are very affordable. The staff was friendly and the parking is for free which is very important in Downtown Orlando. Thank you

Went to Dove Cote with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, this was my 2nd time here and it was no better than the first. I wouldn’t really recommend anything on the menu besides the chicken sandwich (if that), and the cheddar biscuits with berry compote (honestly the best thing on the menu besides bottomless mimosas😅) SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very classy.

Really cozy with fantastic food. We did the magic Friday meals and it was fantastic. Salmon was a smaller portion than expected... but plenty for me to still take home a doggy bag. Excellent service.

DoveCote was a new-to-us brunch spot for some girlfriends to catch up over good food and mimosas. We enjoyed some apps, brunch food, and mimosas. Our server Casey was outstanding, and we loved the elegant decor inside and the ability to go outside and enjoy the terrace as well.

Not the most warm greeting staff but the waiter was super nice. Didnt have a reservation, just found the place walking around and the greeter said well reservations are preferred but he found us a seat and honestly, most tables were open, so not sure why the attitude about not having a reservation. Bartender service is pretty slow. I dont think Id go back.

I didn’t want to post this review. I actually emailed them first and decided to wait a few business days for their response. But here we are...Hello!I had reservations today for brunch at 12:15 for 8. I understand you may have been understaffed but this was my first bad experience at Dovecote. It’s very unsettling and unfortunate, we chose this place last minute because of the rain but made a reservation a day ahead of time. I also made it clear in the reservation this was for a baby shower. When we arrived, the table wasn’t set (not a big deal). The manager came over and was incredibly condescending about how our “party was clearly more than a brunch.” I had to repeat myself three times saying we were just having brunch. She was incredibly rude telling us we had 2 hours to finish and started our experience off horribly. We had nothing more than the ladies next to us who also had gifts and balloons for a birthday but they didn’t have the same condescending lecture we had. Everything we ordered took incredibly long. We didn’t even get our food until 2:30. One appetizer never came and we were told an hour later the kitchen ran out. When we finished eating we waited another 20-30 minutes for our checks. As we were waiting for our tabs, we were then told that the restaurant was closing. Well what can we do we were waiting to sign our checks?All of us have worked in hospitality before, we know how it is. The servers and front of house were very nice about everything but the manager was incredibly off putting and we waited a very long time for everything. We didn’t even leave until 3:30 and it’s certainly not because we were taking our time.I wanted to email this rather than blast it online for everyone to see. I hope this was a one off chance but we do not have further plans to visit Dovecote again.Thank you.

Im visiting my family from Seattle, saw the pictures of this establishment and wanted to try it. I had a long day so I was excited for dinner. The hostess looked us up and down to say ‘ can I help you with anything’. Like we had no business being there, then she said kitchen closes at 9:30 while the hours of operation states they are open until 11 p.m. Felt Slightly racially motivated and the vibes were of, 10 out of 10 would not recommend this establishment. Being greeted by ‘can I help you with anything’ felt like I was being asked am I lost. Isnt it a restaurant! What else could you possibly help me with. Dont go here if you have melanin. No I did not seat and eat as I was turned away, I was disappointed and saddened to feel so unwelcomed in Orlando which is my home. I felt like because of my skin complexion, which I have no control over I was not welcomed.

Do not make the mistake of going here for brunch. They serve sub par food on a small plastic plate.First I ordered a breakfast wrap it came out like something I would expect to pay 5 dollars for at the airport cold case before any of the restaurants open except it was 15 dollars - I sent it back and got the 16 dollar Cesar which was 2 halves of 1 stalk of lettuce and some chunky salad dressing on top - and the tiny plastic plate would have not facilitated the size nor the cutting needed for this serving - I sent it back couldnt eat - but I will say the place is beautiful, the service is excellent and the bar is top notch - whoever the kitchen decision maker us is completely failing this place and pulling down what could be the best restaurant in town, instead is barely 2 stars - you dont need some discotheque draw to your patio if your having low sales its because of your kitchen decision - period. People will go to a hole in the wall if they have excellent food and conversely will avoid one of the most enchanted settings in the city because of the food.

Such a beautiful space in the heart of Downtown Orlando. My husband and I enjoyed happy hour together, and thought the food was delicious and we loved the Palomas on tap. It’s also a great plus that parking is complimentary especially when heading downtown. It takes so much worry away when you don’t have to try to find and pay for parking especially when there is an event going on nearby.

The decor was nice. The food was perfectly ok. The ambiance was not really what is would expect from this kind of restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter. The service was particularly disappointing. Wouldnt recommend. Most definitely not coming back.

Went there with my Family for Father’s Day Brunch, waitress was not very attentive, you could barely hear what she was saying. ordered our drinks first (coffee and latte) it didn’t come for about 30 minutes and when it did come it was cold and the latte looked like someone had drank it because it sat for too long. They were not accommodating at all, food was mediocre and overpriced for bad service. Wonder if I was a celebrity if they would have accommodated the request. It wasn’t like I was asking for ostrich eggs or something crazy like that . Paid my almost $200 dollar bill and went and ate an amazing breakfast somewhere else and got way better service . Owner was very dismissive and said he would take the coffee and latte off my bill. Well thanks for the favor it’s not like we drank it or anything . If you looking for great service I will not recommend this place .

Five stars because the owner was very welcoming and friendly! He walked us to the table and went over the menu. Answered all our questions and was very nice. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. The food was cold, and the buffet had a few items. Not happy with the food, but the service was great.

Beautiful atmosphere, good food though the portions are small. I like how its an open kitchen and they are super clean and organized! Coffee bar inside is a bonus!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. We went on a Thursday for Happy Hour and got a bunch of apps so we could try as much as possible. All the food was enjoyable in an excellent atmosphere. Our bartender, Felix, was so knowledgeable and so helpful. Check out our images to see the awesome food we had.

After many happy hours and dinners with great experiences we decided to try brunch. Big mistake. Reservations were messed up and it took 3 calls today to get the reservations correct. The bar service was not the best, slow plus the bartender didnt know how to make some drinks and they were out of so many beers. Once we were seated we didnt get to order for over 30 min, then our food came out 1 by 1. There were 14 of us. Mine was one of the last meals out and most of the table was already finished with their meal by the time I started. Then it took 2 tries to get our tickets correct and another 20 min. to pay.

This morning I had a chance to experience Dove Cote and the Foxtail coffee bar in downtown Orlando following a little Pickleball action. My colleague has dined at Dove Cote multiple times and couldn’t say enough about the quality. I experienced that myself this morning with the omelette offering featuring bousin cheese and bacon and a lovely side salad. I have honestly never had a better omelette and salad in my six +decades on this planet. I was so intrigued I had to go find the chef to learn how both the omelette and dressing is prepared, and the day got even better when I met Chef Luli in action prepping for the day. She gave me insight on how both were made and even allowed me a little sample to test drive. Unbelievable, “above and beyond” service. Thank you Chef Luli! Will be back soon. Saw Gazpacho and bone marrow on menu - will be back for that and more!! This is Orlando dining and service quality at its best!!

If you are casually dressed because you drove up to take your college student out to lunch and a visit to the cat cafe, this is NOT the restaurant for you. You will be judged.

Half of my party sat out front without anyone helping them for a good five minutes. Then when he turned around he had an attitude. We sat down for a bridal shower brunch. Two of our food was awful one got sent back immediately the other one we asked someone to come and take the order and they refused and said we had to wait for the server and the manager came out. Manager was rude and very Disrespectful choice another table while. He didn’t want to help anyone. We asked the three bartenders to help and they sent me away and told me to wait for my server. Our server is amazing. KC was so sweet and didn’t get any help from anyone. Then at the end we didn’t get the breakdown for the receipt.

For Mother’s Day, I asked my husband to take my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I to a place where it’s in downtown Orlando and had brunch. When we arrived at DoveCote I was impressed by the esthetics and parking lot. Beautiful building and courtyard, however upon arrival no employees wore masks and neither did the manager or owner (not sure what position but seemed to be the go to person). When seated the floor had food all over. Our sever was very attentive and nice but seemed very lost or just new to the place. When we asked for the menu, they were only offering a fixed menu brunch at $70 a person! We knew it was an expensive place so we continued to dine. The buffet was self serve and a lot of the food looked like it was sitting there for a while. I am vegan so I didn’t get to eat much since the fixed brunch had no options. I had to ask the waitress for fruit and it was like well we’ll see if we have any. I was like seriously you don’t even have to cook it. After my husband and his family went once to the buffet, when they went to get more food,’they had already cleaned it up. I did not want to cause a scene and I did not want to make the waitress uncomfortable because it was not her fault. Needless to say we paid a bill of over $200 and still left hungry. As a restaurant co-owner myself, I hate writing negative reviews but today was my first Mother’s Day and it was a horrible experience.

We were in town for the weekend celebrating my birthday and attending the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert, and had booked ourselves here for brunch as our last meal before driving home. We were pleased to see that they have complimentary on-site parking (you park in the building garage and they validate it for you) and the signage is easy to follow. Three of us tried the bloody marys and they were good, both the spicy and the medium ones. As for food, I was super impressed by the reuben sandwich. I have never had a reuben on sourdough before but it was amazing. Everyone else in our party loved the food as well. Staff was super friendly and the service was good as well. We would definitely return!

I had a wonderful experience here for lunch. Albeit the lunch menu is mostly sandwiches and burgers, we had a 4 course meal and it did not disappoint. Ill probably be returning for the salmon burger and dinner eventually.

Nice looking, classy restaurant in downtown Orlando. Prices on the high side, even for the location and type. Seems like a great spot for a date. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable, but service in general was slow even though there werent that many tables occupied. Drinks in particular were slow in coming, so we didnt have as many as we could have. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the food, drinks, and ambiance. I would recommend the place to friends and would go back, but with the caveat that if service doesnt improve, it will become a no-go for me.

I’m extremely disappointed how my waitress charged me $100 for a $70 bottle of sparkling. She asked me was I ready to close out my ticket and she would bring my receipt for me to sign, well she never brought my receipt after quite some time so I checked my Navy Federal credit card app and there was my $100 charge. I went searching to find her to ask why did she charge me an extra $30 to my tab and there was no reason. This is sneaky things these waitresses do at this restaurant and I highly recommend no one to eat at this establishment. I will never be going back again. This is and insult to their customers and very bad service! My $30 was never credited back to my account as well. Shame on your staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Downgraded my review from the last time we visited.I want to keep liking DoveCote but the service is just so slow that it’s difficult to.Very inattentive staff.Bone marrow was great, had to take a pic.The ribeye on the other hand is not a $42 plate, better grade meat from Publix to be honest.

Despite a few of the not-so-great reviews below, my wife and I had a great experience. I was very impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere is really neat as well. A little pricy but absolutely worth it. If coming down Orange there is parking just right past the building (it’s easy to miss).

Great restaurant love the decor inside. I ordered the DC Caesar salad with blackened salmon. Omg the best salad I have ever had. The salad is very fresh and great flavor. The salmon is cooked to perfection.

I came here last night to celebrate my coworkers birthday and I must say, I wasnt impressed! First of all the restaurant was out of about 80% of the items on the menu. I also did not like my friend getting her Caesar salad on what was 3 large pieces of romaine in a bowl, like....Really? I as well as all the other guest felt bad for the server who had to keep coming back and forth to let us know what he could or could not get us. 🤷Shame on DoveCote for having hace to explain to us there was a delivery issue when the manager or owner could of came by... Or even offered something to the guest.Im a server, and alot of us there are in the industry so we knew to take care of the server

Friendly staff, and amazing food. Good portions for the price, and high quality. A smaller place, but worth making a reservation. The menu is always changing, though it always keeps some standard options. We tried the bone marrow, eggplant dip, oysters, and grand marnier souffle. The cocktails are also fantastic - one of the best G&Ts! All worthwhile!

We came here for a wedding reception. The amount of things that went wrong because of this establishment is beyond unacceptable. The event coordinator needs to be replaced ASAP!From calling the bride two weeks prior and stating that they had to move their event indoors because another event wanted to utilize the outdoor space the day of their reception, to throwing away the wedding cake instead of serving it to the guests because it “couldn’t be cut” (or not even just giving the bride and groom an alternate option as to what they’d like to do with the “cake they could not cut”), to allowing restaurant guests to walk through the reception. The worst of it all was the event coordinator. She was extremely rude to all guest.We arrived on time for the cocktail hour which was suppose to occur outdoors (while the other event was being set up for the evening). The open bar and appetizers were not set up when we arrived around 5:30pm. Guests were told to order from the indoor bar because they weren’t ready. The event coordinator proceeded to yell at guest and say “cocktail hour is outside. I don’t understand what you guys don’t understand about that”. This was her way of getting us outside. It took a wedding guest to confront her on her rudeness and let her know that she was not ready which is why guests were asked to wait inside by restaurant staff. She ended up leaving 1.5hrs before our event ended and promised the other event that they could use the inside space (because it began to rain on them. Go figure!) 1.5hrs before the reception was due to end.Multiple restaurant attendees and other guest walked through the “closed off” reception and it took another wedding guest to grab the attention of the owner and ask him to please keep non-wedding guest out if the reception area (there was another entrance to the restaurant).The night ended with the owner of the establishment asking the other event’s “helpers” to help us clean up our event since they had to bring THEIR event inside. They threw away wedding favors purchased by the bride and groom and guests of the other event did not give us the time nor space to remove ourselves before beginning to fill the space.Even with all the issues, the wedding guests ensured that the bride and groom maintained a good time through entertainment and good music (and an open bar of course!).It was the most unprofessional thing I had ever seen especially coming from an “expensive and established” location. Please do yourself a favor and find another location to dine or host your event. It’s Orlando after all!

We have been here several times since they opened. Today will absolutely have been the last time we will ever go here. Today was Mother’s Day & we understand it’s busier than usual. However, I had a reservation & waited 30 minutes to get my table & the only way I got was to stand over a table & ask them to clean it. Additionally, upon making a reservation I was not informed that it was a buffet. I can get over that but it was self serve & none of the staff wore masks including the the pasta chef & the carving station chef. It was $70 per person and we were given plastic utensils & plastic cups & paper napkins. Furthermore, I had to wait 30 minutes just to get an iced tea. I’m sad to say this was an awful experience & I used to like it.

This place is AMAZING! Everyone who worked there was so helpful, kind, and overall wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. They have the BEST eggplant dip I’ve ever had in my life - so Smokey! I also recommend getting the French onion soup. Also their iced tea is very fresh and slightly fruity which I loved!

Went there for Sunday brunch to celebrate...we had 16 in our party and was told they could accommodate us. They stuck us outside and btw we were the ONLY table outside and from there we proceeded to have the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Had to ask for ice, water, more menus, silverware...you know the basics! They had 1 “seasoned” server and a server that was working her very FIRST day. We ordered mimosas however our food started to come out and after waiting over a hour we canceled the drinks and appetizers. They bought out part of peoples orders vs all together. I got my side of eggs and after 20mins my pancakes and burnt chicken wings. Some pancakes had nice fruit on top and others nothing. We went inside multiple times to speak to the owner and all he gave was excuses but said “he would fix it” . Finally after sitting outside for close to 2 hours (4 people in the group never received their food) with messed up orders we demanded the owner to come out from hiding in the restaurant to speak to our party. He made excuses, was condescending, never apologized, then proceeded to tell us that the meals that some received was comped and “we could go” he never acknowledged their terrible service at all or listened to any feedback. Then his last insult was to ask us did “anyone work in the food industry” as if we were clueless on how service should be and as if we were overreacting. We cashed out that poor server with lots of tips and told him he should be ashamed for setting her up for failure. Ambience appeared nice but service, food, owner were TERRIBLE!

Nice place for brunch. Im not a huge fan of mimosas, but I tried the grapefruit they have and it was good. The eggplant dip for appetizer was good. I got the Caesar salad. It was ok. Honestly, I have tried better. The attention is good. I might go back to try other stuff and see if I like better than the salad.

One of the best brunch menus in Orlando, and the location and ambience are great! I definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch and lunch. The dinner menu is good too.

Great atmosphere, amazing service, excellent food. Wonderful place all around.

Great atmosphere to eat and talk. Everything was excellent! The servers were young professionals. The eggs are whipped and oven baked which lends to super light & airy eggs. The French toast comes in a serving of 4 slices. I ate them before taking the photo. The only suggestion I have for this establishment is that the music should be in keeping with the restaurant’s theme. It was weird being surrounded by French provincial hearing ”Give Up the Funk” by George Clinton.

Seeing these poor reviews is so surprising to me because the experience my partner and I had was nothing short of amazing. From what I’ve gathered there is a new executive chef, so I don’t know about the old one, but this one knocked it out of the park. Our order was:appetizers:ham and cheese beignetssmoked eggplant dipentrees:lemon thyme chickencroque madamedessert:oreo somethingchocolate mousseThe chicken was INSANELY AMAZING. Everything was incredible.I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you’ve had a bad experience with them in the past, I highly suggest you revisit with the new chef and manager.

The host was welcoming and very polite! The octopus salad was tasty! Of course, tiny and overpriced! The food was Not good!!! Its just overpriced, pretentious fast food!!! The waiter had a fake, french accent and was extremely pretentious!!! The coffee was Horrible! I asked for an espresso and I got some foamy vile tasting liquid and my husbands Fredo espresso was Hot foamy coffee as well!! They advertise their coffee bar as the best in town and they dont even know the basics!! Mashed potatoes in a gourmet 😲french restaurant, for $8 made out of a box..??? Really? You cant bother to boil potatoes? The french fries, or frittes- as put in the menu where frozen bag trash! Burned burger!!! The place was EMPTY for a reason!!

The lemon chicken with fried okra was so delicious! This is a must try if you haven’t been yet! The cocktail menu is fantastic as well!

Probably the worst vacation experience of my life. Wine spillage from an overzealous waiter, slow food delivery, all orders incorrectly done, and now, a very upset group of people on my table that I have to do damage control on - including children. We could’ve gone to McDonalds and gotten served more appropriately. This ruined an amazing day and it was just incredible how everything went wrong. I’m pretty patient - didn’t even speak up when the wine spilled on my pants. I get it - honest mistake. But Everything else to go wrong? E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!! And even the tables next to us saw our distraught reactions and said they too were not satisfied with the service because of how paralyzingly slow it was. How is this place still in business? I wish the owner knew some of these recipients of this horrible service are senior leaders in major corporations who hold conferences in Orlando ......and the obvious and inevitable, financial and reputation-impacting disasters that can potentially be led to from such terrible experiences.To the Owner, please save the cliche responses you are putting on these reviews. Your “strive to do better” as you have stated in other negative reviews CLEARLY is not working. Again, please save the contradicting, robotic, and inauthentic remorse.

Tried going here, but it didnt work out. Made a reservation, showed up at the restaurant on time, told it was gonna be 10-15 minutes. So, went to the bar, took about 10 minutes for someone to get my order, which they then forgot so it took an extra 10 minutes. Then the host came over and said to it would be best just to order food at the bar. Took about another 10 minutes for the bartender to come over to take that order. Ordered food and drink and waited an additional 25 minutes before the bartender just hadnt come back at all. Feeling completely ignored and unwelcome, while trying to leave, I flagged down the hostess because I want her to cancel my order. When I got her attention, she did a 180 and disappeared, and we followed suit. They were absolutely understaffed and overwhelmed and it looked like there was no management. Ended up getting fried chicken down the street. If anyone needs a refresher on how reservations work, Seinfeld, Season 3, Episode 11, The Alternate Side.1 star: I made a reservation and showed up on time, DoveCote did not.

Average. There are sooo many better options in Orlando. Drinks are mediocre at best. Nice place, sad that we wont return again because it is really not worth your $$$

The only good thing about the brunch menu was the bottomless mimosas, the ham and cheese Beignets was not good at all, the dry rub chicken wing was tasteless, and the cheddar chive biscuits was okay. The restaurant is beautiful especially the outside area.

Sub par food, staff plays the disappearing act, and the cooks vape while cooking. Only thing good about this restaurant are the drinks. Definitely save yourself the grief of coming here. Not worth it!

Love - exceptional - fantastic atmosphere!

Went for happy hour last Friday. My wife had the croque monsieur & fried chicken sliders. I had the eggplant escalavada dip and fromage & frites (sans bacon). Very pleased with the food. We also had the paloma & French martini cocktails. The paloma is really good. The French martini has a nice taste but lacks alcohol. Overall the setting is very nice and will have to come for dinner although the happy hour is a great time to visit.

It was fairly easy to park in the parking garage thats connected. Although they do have valet option. It was a small menu compared to most restaurants that you may experience but its also a specialized French menu. We ended up going with the burger and steak and honestly the fries were delicious! I dont know what it was, but the fries were a must have.

I have to be honest. I never thought I would be writing such a poor review of one of my favorite restaurants that I have been going to for years. Mothers day, my husband was so sweet in getting a reservation for 4 pm as he knew it was my favorite place to go. We were promptly seated and told about the mothers day buffet and told that our server would be with us. I noticed the buffet ended at 4pm and assumed we would be provided dinner menus as to be honest I had no interest in the buffet. The server told us that the buffet was the only option and I assumed that the 4pm end time must have been extended then and agreed to it. We got up and grabbed our plates and noticed that there was barely any food out and the wait staff was together laughing and joking around as if preparing to leave. Mind you we were just seated. The food was cold and not presentable at all for the 70 dollars a plate we were charged. I commented that It seemed like everyone was ready to go and the gentlemen said yes the buffet ends at 4pm. I informed him that we were just seated and he ignored me. I made the best of it as I could tell my husband felt bad as he wanted my mothers day to be special. There was no crab cakes and beignets as was notated on menu also which again was disappointing. We had to stop wait staff from wrapping up and taking food away the second time we went up for a plate. There were other customers complaining loudly about this as they too were just seated a nasty argument with the female waitress an serving cold pasta took place between the newly seated patrons. I chimed in and told the female server quietly that the same thing happened to us and she said well when your in the restaurant industry not everyone in house is on the same page and we have nothing to do with the time you were seated. I smiled and went to the owner as this was ridiculous at this point. When speaking to the owner I informed him I would have much appreciated the restaurant telling us that they made a mistake in accepting 4pm reservations as the buffet was ending then trying to seat another table quickly and make a quick 170 bucks but was told by the owner that my one portion of lamb and prime rib was worth the cost and he will be glad to get any food in the back out lol I shouldnt have to beg or ask for food to be out my husband at this point was livid and asked for the bill. I was even more surprised that nothing was taken off my bill even though the waitress agreed with my displeasure. I told her I am not one to complain and she said no I agree with you I would be mad too. Please note we checked the website prior to coming to plan our food choice and nowhere did it state that the buffet was all that was available that day. If I would have known that the buffet was done at 4pm and told that our reservation time was a mistake I would have respected the establishment more and came back another time. Whats even more disappointing is that looking through the most recent reviews it seems that this has happened before and the company wrote to that previous review that they would implement changes so this doesnt happen again. Looks like no changes were implemented. So I hope the 170 was worth losing a long time customer who would have gladly spent double that on any given night .

My best friend and I had a date here because we had bone marrow from another restaurant and I was raving about how DoveCote’s is better. We each had our own and I ordered the Smoky Eggplant Dip to go along with all the fattiness of the bone marrow. We were so extremely satisfied and in heaven.

Highly not recommended they took an hour get our food and then it was cold. We came with a big party and there charged a random set up fee, which is absolutely ridiculous. We sat at a table, why are we being charged for set up, is that not a standard when dining out. The food was not good worse brunch place ever !!

Great service and delicious choices for lunch. Nice coffee bar selection. Accommodated all 7 of us without any issues.

Always a great experience at DoveCote, both for brunch and dinner. The Salmon burger is my favorite.

Expensive with mediocre food no favor what so ever and so_so service. Reservation phone line sucked and no option to use open table app.. Never going back for sure. No separation kept between clients even though a whole section was empty

I never leave reviews but this place was unreal.1. No one in the bar or kitchen is wearing a mask2. Ive seen a few reviews mentioning the rudeness of staff and I can see why; waiter didnt know the menu, made mistakes and had an attitude to top it off3. The final straw: I saw the chef who was making our food vaping in the kitchen. He was talking with another employee so that seems to just be common practice there. We cancelled our remaining food, paid our bill and left.

Get anything on the menu and any of their cocktails, you won’t regret it.Edit: Came back another time and unfortunately I have to change my review. The price point did not match the quality of the food. The bread tasted like it was reheated and not toasted fresh. The dishes were okay but mediocre. I have had way better in nicer restaurants for around the same price or less. I dont know if the quality of the food has changed since the last time I was there, or if it was an off day for them. The service was also slow for there only being 5 tables sat on a weekend. Maybe the pandemic has something to do with the change in quality? A menu refresh might help or change in management from what I’m reading in other reviews. Also why is the owner blame shifting onto guests in the reviews when the issues seem to be repeat problems. If everyone is experiencing the same problems... maybe it’s you, not them... Kinda sad to see this spot loose its footing they were quite good back in the day.

We made a reservation for Easter, once we got there they only allowed us to order the buffet ($60), what would be fine if there had that information on their website.

So-due to reviews and recommendations online we chose this place to have dinner with friends-we are all traveling a few hours away from home and met up for a meal and evening together. We booked a 7:30 reservation on open table and made it in just about 3-4 minutes late due to traffic.We were greeted and seated by an attentive and kind hostess. The table was fine and the place seemed occupied but not crowded.As we were still sitting down a young lady (we learn is Taylor) comes over to pour waters, and apparently overhears us discussing that nobody seems to be masking here as we are taking off our masks, and she says, “Are we SCARED!?? Because we shouldn’t come out to dinner if we are still scared.” ...........Ok.So then-one of our party was searching for her glasses to see the menu and this same girl, TAYLOR, says, “I know there’s no glasses in lost and found or else I’d offer them to you because that’s what you should do... right!?!? Offer glasses of other people to those In need?....”Our whole party is like ????? Whaaaaaa.... okaaaayyyy...So, Ali, our server WAS new but absolutely fantastic and genuine and efficiently pleasant. She is indeed the reason we give 4 stars. The food was good, nothing was bad. The Beignets were amazing, and the prime rib was mentionable.Cocktails were amazing, and the service (in the end) was fantastic and absolutely everything we could hope for. I doubt we will return as we have many venues on our list In the area but we did enjoy our visit.

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would.I should have known it wasnt going to be great when the three menus at my table all had different menu items and different pricing on them.There were very few workers actually wearing masks, and the ones that were, werent wearing them properly. No cook had a mask on. Both managers of the restaurant stood next to where the food was being prepped... no mask. The managers were not attentive at all and this place is beyond poorly managed.One person at my table never received her food. Come to find out it was never put in.One person at my table had multiple pieces of hair in the food. My meal was a complete salty disaster.Never come to the place. You can find better - I promise.

Magical dining at Dove Cote.Ham and cheese beignets, pork cutlet and chocolate mousse. Drinks are outstanding. Desserts are worth the trip. Stop by during the week or weekend for a friendly place to indulge yourself. Great place to meet and share a meal downtown.

Omgoodness!!!! The terrace at Dovecote is open, and talk about Downtown Orlandos hidden gem known as the Bank Of America building. Honey!!! This brunch was off the charts with all kinds of yumminess, including beautiful people, a pet, small children and beautiful families and a few of us single people hanging with friends. I had the baked salmon, poached jumbo shrimp, a couple oysters, some quiche, a small portion of cheeses, 2 mimosas and an espresso from our local friends at Foxtail coffee. Haha. I just realized that was just what I had... my friends opted for desserts to. The new terrace is enclosed with an artificial turf wall, beautiful palms, white table cloths and wrought iron chairs for dining and them some living room type seating with posh blue cushions for those just wanting to chill out. Our service was good, and not in our face.. opt for seating under cover; unless, youre prepared for the vitamin D. This will be the place to be... I would be sure and reserve ahead. Bon Appetit!

Terrible meal and mediocre service. I’ve been going for years, but something has changed, for the worse. Ordered the freshly baked rolls on the menu (they have been historically great). Received toast instead with no explanation. When I asked, the response that the chef was out today. Really? My wife ordered a butter lettuce salad, and received a mixed green salad, again with no explanation. When asked, the waiter said that the rest had been hard hit 6 days earlier on Valentine’s Day. 6 days earlier! My lemon thyme chicken Looked like a quail, and was ruined by the worst brussel sprouts ever served. The sprouts had some disgustingly overpowering barbecue sauce that mixed with the mashed potatoes. Simply terrible. On a half empty restaurant, they seated another table 2 feet away from us. Why not allow some intimacy and allow some social distancing. We were going to have dessert, but just wanted to escape the lousy meal and poor service (the waiter meant well, but he was an untrained kid and just kept apologizing about everything). This place will be out of business soon.

Yummmm. This place was a little bit of a struggle for me as a lactose intolerant person but WORTH IT!!! These ham n cheese beignets were the best

We came for brunch and hot damn! The drinks were lovely and arrived in a timely fashion. The croque madame was a majestic performance, each bite as flavorful as the next. There was an issue with our order, and the staff were incredibly professional, apologetic, and courteous. Im glad I chose this as my splurge meal for the week. Ill be coming back

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in town. The food is delicious, the menu has great specials, and the space is one of the most gorgeous in town.

Made a trip from Tampa to Orlando because my wife had heard about DoveCote and wanted to try it out. It did not disappoint. First of all the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful with a romantic ambiance. We had the ciabatta with roasted garlic as an appetizer and it was some of the best we ever had. My wife had the French onion soup and commented that it rivaled Berns and could be a meal on its own. Entrees were Salmon and Lemon Thyme Chicken...both were amazing (my kids finished the leftovers before I could get to them the next day). Finished off the night with Creme Brûlée...couldnt have been better. So many things wed love to try....definitely will be back.

Great Restaurant! I had the Atlantic Salmon and it was absolutely delicious. I cant wait to go back!!!
