Sold a car to this company while I was in Florida. Called 18 days later because I now have negative remarks on my credit because of non payment. I was told that after the car was sold to them they NEVER processed the paperwork to send money to the financing company. Please be careful if you are trying to get money in a timely manner.

They dont pay the max. Actually about 3K under what CarMax or Carvana offered. The process is simple, call, schedule and come in. However to be this far under and having to come in, is a waste of time.My comments are towards the company, not the actual associate, he was very polite and professional.

I took my 2014 Roush Mustang to be valued for an offer. After looking at car the representative talked to some other rep and then told us it was not a real Roush. We have the original papers from Roush and the dealership we purchased it from. It was a brand new car and nothing has been added after market. E were basically called liers and again stated its value was $10,900. We have a few cash offers from $12 to $14k already but a friend said that Auto buy would pay more.It was a waste of our time and the representative did but seem to care when I offered to show him our original paperwork. He just stated, Im sorry, our guy says its not a real Roush.They need to hire people who know what they are talking about. Our car has the ROUSH signed dash, emblem on windshield and center console as well as on the floor mats, door jams and exhaust pipes. We have original paperwork from Roush with the VIN number. They could have just called the ROUSH representative to ask as well. This was ridiculous.

The employee showed me their print out sales offer.We agreed on a price slightly higher and shook hands.While walking outside to get the title, the employee came out to say he quoted $1,000 too much and reduced the offer.Even though in NY a verbal contract is binding, I got on my bike and left.My advice- DO NOT do business with these people.

Was offered an insanely low price for my 2018 car. Over $3,000 lower than the low range of anything ive seen. Car is in perfect condition and has no accidents. I received an offer from another company for $4000 more than Autobuy within 24 hours. We pay the max? Hardly!

I literally just found out about this place yesterday, but was glad I found them. Dealt with Tim who was welcoming, informational, and genuinely conversational. Got a less than fair offer from Carmax, granted my car was a BMW which isn’t everyone’s forte, but it’s clean clean with spotless history and maintenance. It was sad because I’ve done business with Carmax in the past, but no bueno this time. Autobuy beat Carmax’s offer and altogether I was in and out within about an hour and a half time. Small location in a congested area, but clean, to the point, and worth it.

At first was not sure if the process would go smooth, but I was pleasantly surprised. Though it took a little longer than expected to walk out of there with a check, got more money than the dealer offered.

After a bit of reflection on my Autobuy experience I decided to post this review. What lured me to this used car buying service was these words taken directly from the FAQ section of their website:Can I sell my car to you through a dealer so I can obtain the sales tax benefit?Yes. Once you have negotiated your purchase price for your New or Pre-Owned vehicle, give the dealer your Auto Buy appraisal. We will work with the dealer to help you get your tax savings.Upon questioning, this was revealed to be false, that your tax savings is the amount Autobuy beats the new car dealers trade-in offer (IF they do). Nothing more than that. I was informed that Autobuy does not intercede on your behalf. Showing the new car dealer your Autobuy offer is worthless. There is no tax savings.Additionally, the amount offered for my used auto was significantly below other car broker offers, and that of one new car dealer. When i rejected the offer I was told it could immediately be resubmitted to corporate where it then might be revised upward some indeterminate amount which I would have to commit to accept. In other word, their first offer was not their best and whatever followed was guesswork.In short, I found the Autobuy experience unproductive.
