Overall our experience was really good. Oscar helped us and was very nice and professional. He was not pushy at all. Financing went well. Didn’t push us to buy all their warranties and extra insurance which was very nice. The only issue we had is they are first come first serve. We were working on getting the financing done for the car and had to come back the next day. Got a call while we were literally 15 minutes away coming to sign papers saying someone else was interested in the car and if they signed first they would get the car and there was nothing we could do. We were pretty upset when we got there but Oscar took care of it and we ended up getting the car. Just a note for anyone else, as i didn’t know this upfront.

I recently bought a Jeep. Had a good overall experience they were really willing to work with me and my schedule. There was a minor gap in the bumper and they made an effort to fix it before I bought it. Overall, they are pretty quick and friendly when it comes to car buying.

I had the opportunity to work with Alan, I took the car to a mechanic friend of mine and they found an oil leak in the head gasket. Salesmans response to this was Let me have our team look into this further. That visit to the dealer was the last I heard from them, there has been no further response and its been nearly two weeks.My wife has a position at a local Credit Union and we felt highly pressured to most likely have our credit pulled again, to SEE if they could match our rate, which still wont give us employee discount. After we told them theyre not going to match our rate and we are sticking with our current pre-approval we already received, they seemed less eager about our trade in or fixing the issue on the car. In addition to the financial part of this review, Torres has a $599 Dealer Doc Fee which they will be open about and tell you if you ask, but that is about $300 more than the competition.I went ahead and bought the same car (Year, Make, Model, Trim) at another dealer in SLC for $200 more with more features (fully loaded - with a premium paint color option), less miles (~16k miles less), no mechanical issues, and a pleasant, no pressure, relaxing experience, theres no doubt that I will not return to this dealer, regardless of the deal.UPDATE - reply to Owners Response: I will post complete conversation between Alan and I, as there was no response back to my concern, I am assuming he may have texted the wrong number, which is very possible. Like I said above the car I ended up buying was over your price so that was clearly not the issue, the lack of communication and the lack of faith in the cars mechanical status is what drove me away. The dealer I ended up buying from did give me a discount on problems I had found which were purely cosmetic, a common practice in most dealerships. In response to my trade (see screenshot) One other dealer offered me that price as is and after that another dealer offered the same amount, so it wasnt through a 3rd party like KBB, NADA, or JD Power, etc. I did tell Alan what the car would trade-in for since youd have to flip it, which was still 2-4k above what I was asking. In which your offer was 1k below my asking price, and I even dropped what I wanted by nearly $500 for you. As you have said you take accountability for that portion, which wasnt even the issue as Alan and I talked about it for enough time for me to understand exactly where you guys sit at.I know we both would like this to not be our own faults - but you guys definitely dropped the ball, and are trying to divert criticism to different directions. And I am solely replying so you have either the full story, or so people can see what happens from a buyers point of view, and a dealer trying to cover their tracks.

Did not have a good experience at all. I felt very taken advantage of due to the fact that I was a 21 year old female attempting to buy a car alone with no parents. This is a very dishonest dealership that says they don’t negotiate prices to allow ALL to have a fair price but bump the taxes and fees up to almost 3x what they should be, adding in extra unnecessary “accessories” into the car. They wouldn’t show me the specifics of the pricing until I finally was able to speak with the manager who “was too busy” to speak to me unless I agreed to buy the car. They also tried to trick me into signing a paper agreeing to buy the car before I could speak with the manager. I had my brother and dad try to come test drive the car before I took time off of work and they were refused the opportunity. This dealership also left out details about the cars history which I only found out when I took it to a car shop. My friend who is in a wheelchair also accompanied me and they did not have any ramps for her to enter the building and we ended up having to lift her up stairs to get her into the building which showed no awareness of people with disabilities and their needs to buy cars as well. Overall not a pleasant experience by a very dishonest and deceitful dealership that is 100% not handicap accessible.

We went to Torres automotive group today and it was an AMAZING first experience buying a car, the salesmen there were so kind and helpful with all the confusing terms and words, and best part is there was NO NEGOTIATIONS. We were given the best price, along with everyone else who shops here and we got an amazing deal. The salesman in particular that was amazing was Oscar, he did such a great job and even stayed after closing to help us! I had great experience with the whole process on getting my car. I bought a bmw 320i Oscar who was the sales person that helped me threw the whole things was great he made me feel comfortable about buying the car with no pressure at all. What really made me want to buy from Torres is how I could tell that Oscar was trying to do as much as possible to help me and whatever way he could and what would work best for me. I did go to another dealership but it didn’t feel right I felt like the salesman was focused on getting the sale and benefiting from it that actually helping me I major thing I did not like from the other dealership I went too is how I felt pressured to buy I told them I as going to think about and and look at some other cars not even a day passed by and they were already calling me telling me about the car and how someone else was looking at it so if I wanted it I need to hurry up. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!They sold me a 2017 honda civic with 58k miles. Not even a two weeks in I got a check engine light and a misfire in cylinder three. We reported to the Torrez Automotive Group and they told us it just need a simple tune up. Thought it was odd when all dealer ships are supposed to do the tune up and everything else before selling the car to their clients..We contacted them if we can take the car over so they can fix it but they stopped answering us for almost two days. Oscar one of the employees before buying the car said he takes care of his clients but isn’t helping us.They made us bring it days later. Once they called me to pick up the car not even 1 hour later it threw the same codes and car would bog with no power at all. Oscar and another employee told me they changed they spark plugs, Coils that connect to the spark plugs, and my Air Flow Sensor. All they have done to my car was put a random screw on my Air Flow sensor that was apparently missing before.This has been by far the worst and the most laziest service I have ever experienced. I strongly don’t recommend if you’re wanting to buy a “New” car from Torrez automotive group. I bet jiffy lube can do a better job..

Understand all businesses need to make money but this dealership made a big deal over $400. $400 was a deal breaker for them. Co-signed for my son to get his first car and he had a limit on loan amount, the dealership would not budge on pricing four hundred bucks when it came to fees which were inflated over the usual 10%. Id advise not dealing with this dealership.EDIT: Reading the reviews from satisfied customers are people who are car happy and dont read or ask why theres any where from $1.5-$3k tacked on top of the amount. The owner can reach out all day to save face and show customer service but Ive purchased enough vehicles to know when Im being played with. Purchase here if you want, Id advise not to though.

At the moment of signing docs to purchase the vehicle the salesman informed me there would be $1,300 IN FEES to purchase the vehicle which was an additional 10% of the cost of the vehicle. This is a very deceptive sales scheme where they list the price of the vehicle cheaper than others online in order to lure you in, knowing they’re going to gouge you as you’re signing the closing docs. I would never buy from people using this type of deceptive practice. These fees were ON TOP of the taxes. license & registration expenses. They were $1,300 in fees charged by the dealer.

I have decided to review 2 vehicles at this dealership. Both vehicles 2012 Passat and 2013 Passat had problems. One vehicle had bad vibrating breaks, missing engine bottom drip cover the other had squilling bearings, missing engine drip cover and was involved in a minor accident. The representative refused to naegotiate the price and wanted to charge $1,000 dollars in paperwork processing fee. Do not use this dealership waste of time.

DOUBLE CHECK THE FINAL NUMBERS BEFORE SIGNING!!!I was happy with the experience up until we got in the back to talk numbers. I was very disappointed with their slight of hand in trying to tack on over $3k worth of additional extended warranty, gap insurance, and other nonsensical fees that other dealers don’t charge. All of these were added in without mention and I don’t think they would have explained any of it if I hadn’t specifically asked to review the itemized list. Some people may want these services, but the dealer should at least ask before adding them. Not very ethical in my book...It took about an hour and a half to get this point, at which point we failed to come to an agreement and I had to walk. I thought perhaps this is how all used car dealerships are (I had a similar experience with Larry H. Miller a few years back) or perhaps my expectations were too lofty.However, the very next day I went to a different dealer and looked at the same SUV/year, but with a tow package, sun roof, and only 20k more miles. I probably got a better deal (according to kbb) and it only took them 5 minutes to provide an estimate with all the itemized numbers and finance info (without needing to pull my credit). It was straightforward, only included a reasonable doc fee, taxes, and other state/registration fees and was the exact amount I ended up paying. It was a night and day difference and I drove off the lot in that vehicle that same day.I will say that I appreciate the length that Torres Automotive Group goes through to ensure the cars they sell are top quality. With a few adjustments to their business practices I could consider buying from them in the future.---In response to TAGs response...You are absolutely right, 20k more miles on a vehicle depriciates its value. But according to KBB my vehicle was low price range for its milage while TAGs vehicle was mid/high price range for its milage. Hence a better deal with an apples-to-apples comparison.Furthermore, my vehicle went through the same exact 200+ point inspection with the same 3rd party inspection company, received a comparable rating, and also had routine maintenance performed on it before I ever test drove it. So vehicle quality was at least similar in that regard.While I agree a $300-$400 doc fee is fair compensation, that doesnt justify why TAGs fee was several hundred dollars more.Most importantly, TAG still hasnt addressed why so many extra warrentes, insurance, and additional fees were slipped in without permission or review. That remains my biggest rub.A dealership cannot hide behind vehicle quality then pile on THOUSANDS of dollars onto the agreed upon price without transparent disclosure.
