Wow. What a hidden gem. I have driven by this place many time until today. I entered near closing time and they took their time with me and gave me a tour of all their product. The marble slabs were beautiful and a specialty of theirs. I was looking for engineered hardwood and quartz counter tops for a project Im working on and I will definitely be getting it from here. Customer is every important to me when Im spending my money and from this first experience I know I will be in good hands. See you again soon.
You can purchase countertops anywhere. What made Global Stone special was the exceptional customer service from installer Jose Avila and his team. I have a difficult build and while the job was not an easy one or one without hiccups, Jose went well out of his way to make sure we were happy customers. Thank you to Jose and the install team. They did a fabulous job with our Taj Mahal Quartzite.
Very friendly, super helpful, great value. Plus these guys love tile and love design. Dave and Theresa not only got me a great deal, they helped me overcome some design challenges I was facing.
All of the staff were wonderful to work with & very responsive, especially John our salesmen & Jose the installer! They installed the quartzite & granite for our kitchen counters, island & two bathrooms. Their patience & recommendations were much appreciated! The finished product says it all - thank you Global Stone & Team!
I called to get pricing on some granite and the lady who answered indicated I needed to come in to take a look first. I asked what prices start at and how they price they’re cutting of material. She did not want to answer my questions and indicated I needed to just come in. Online their hours showed they opened at 8 AM. I was there at 8 AM the next day and nobody was there to open the door but a car was parked and the lights were on. Online and on the front of the store indicated 8 AM is when they open. I drove 30 minutes to be there so I kept knocking and eventually a lady walked to the front door. She shouted through the door that they do not open until 9am. I let her know online it says 8am and then pointed to the sign on the front door that said 8am. She started to tear the 8am time off the window in front of me. I explained I drove 30 minutes to be there and would just like to look around. She literally just walked off. I came back at 9am and she was there working behind the counter. I was the only person there and she would not come out to help me and I left after 20 minutes. Customer service does not exist and I was disrespected in many ways as a customer trying to do business.
They use online ads to get you in the door but they have a nice selection. Prices arent whats advertised but staff is friendly and work hard to help.
I agree with a previous reviewer. I was shocked at how long it took to be greeted only to never be followed up with while shopping. I left frustrated and will never return. Another couple was shopping as well and they too were quick to leave. I overheard the other salesman speaking to them and I could tell that were new to tile shopping. He didn’t educate them on anything. Bazaar. Not impressed
Knowledgeable helpful staff. Many oroducts to choose from.
We had the best experience ever with assistance in picking out granite, tile and carpet. Jason and staff were impeccable.I challenge anyone to find a more knowledgeable and professional company to deal with. Feel free to call me or come to my home and see for yourself.Jim
They seem to have a great selection of accent tile. Unfortunately we put ourselves in a bit of a bind trying to order some accent tile online and because of covid it was running way behind schedule to ship and most all the accent tile here also has to be ordered. Prices are bit high but you are paying for the selection that isnt readily available at other tile stores .
Terrible customer service. I just left there and the lady that was helping me couldn’t of been more rude. I was asking her to be on our vendors list and trying to give them new business. She could’ve been less interested.
See Jason. Great selection and service. Somewhat slow on details, ..
When you enter Global Stone it appears very nice with many choices. After that it’s downhill all the way. Not just typical bad customer service but outright lies and evasiveness. Told tile was in stock, paid for it then when needed told that I had been told it would take 45 days. I was never told that. I would have chosen something different in that case. Then was told it was put on the wrong truck. Most likely sold the tile I’d paid for to someone else. So as of now everyone doing my remodel was totally off schedule. Finally after getting job done 4 weeks late took unopened boxes back to the store. Help was extremely rude. Wouldn’t come out of the back room. No one was in the entire store but me! Eleven days after was told a refund check would be mailed, called and still haven’t mailed it. Dishonest and crooked people. Worst customer service experience ever. Jason and John act all nice. Buts that just it. It’s an act. Run as fastand faraway from this place as possible
My wife saw an add for flooring on Facebook as we were in the process of removing A wall for an open concept kitchen and living area. When we got there, we were guided to a much higher quality and priced flooring which we agreed would be great for our floors. The customer service at this point was wonderful! We purchased a substantial amount and were told it would be ordered and in my the first of the year. We were getting married and wouldn’t need it until after then anyway. They said when it came in they would store it in their storeroom for us so we could pick it up when we were ready. We called after the first of the year and this is where everything turned. The flooring wasn’t just not there yet, but hasn’t even been ordered. We were ready for it based on the information that it would be waiting for us. We got the run around about when it would be there and made to feel that somehow it was our fault it wasn’t there. After days of phone calls, lies after lies and nothing even close to an apology, we demanded our money back. My wife had to personally go to the store, demand the credit to the account and demand a receipt. We will never go there again and never recommend them to anyone (and my wife is a realtor). We ended up going to a store where we got the exact same flooring for the exact same price and it was in stock and delivered the next week for FREE!
Local business is the way to go!!!! I have nothing but compliments from friends and family I absolutely love my updated kitchen! The Global Stone team was so wonderful to work with I cant say enough about these guys. My kitchen granite is beautiful and unique, and the entire process was smooth from beginning to end. Great job guys!
Great place to purchase tile or anything for bath or kitchen. Friendly, very knowledgeable and more than willing to help you find what you need. They even give you expert advice to do it yourself. We have never had a bad experience here. Getting ready to do bathroom number three and will definitely go to Global Stone in Olathe!
We were greeted right away. Shown exactly what we came to see and got a quote right away. We were pleased with the results. Havent hired them yet as we tend to always sleep on our BIG decisions but its looking good so far!
The selection here is AMAZING! I love my new granite in my new townhome. The slabs are so beautiful and hard to choose because I wanted them all! Definitely going back to have my bathroom tile done. Had great customer service!!!
We are on week 14 of our kitchen remodel and have used MANY contractors, wholesalers and retailers. Global Stone is the only company weve dealt with that have provided flawless service. From Jason and John helping us at the store to pick out granite for counter tops to Jose coming to our home to measure to Martine and associate coming for the install the whole team has been awesome. We will definitely use them again for future projects and highly recommend them!
We had an issue with the first counter and Jason and his team stepped right up. We picked out a new counter and it looks great. The installation guys were awesome. We now have a beautiful countertop that everyone involved can be proud of. Thank you, Global Stone.
This install crew did a fantastic job yesterday with the installation of my countertop and island. Jose, turned a potentially bad situation with mix up on install dates into a very positive experience for me as the customer. They were able to get the fabrication done in half a day and complete the install in the same day 2 days before what they thought it was to be done. He was very professional and calm when I called and after checking with the fabricators responded back to me very quickly and they completed the job as expected yesterday and again the installation crew was phenomenal at what they do which can be a very tough and tiring job. Would recommend Global Stone very highly.
BEST SELECTIONS! My husband and I had excellent customer service and a great experience with Global Stone. We hired them to install granite in our kitchen and powder room and it is absolutely gorgeous!
Global Stone has done great work. They offer a variety of styles and are able to find exactly what you are looking for. The commercials are hilarious, by the way. People who leave a review solely based on their commercials are ridiculous! I would recommend them to anyone.
Knowledgeable owner. Good selection and pricing. Took the time after closing to help us and give us advice on our current project.
Global Stone has been a company I have seen grow to become the best design center in the area. Not only do they have materials you will not find anywhere else, they also have the team you will feel comfortable and confident with. After picking out the materials, there will be a couple production managers who will set up measures and templates. If theres anything wrong, these guys jump on it! If anything happens to be wrong, they will let you know and go above and beyond to correct it. The production crew are some of the best, and you know you are in good hands. Jobs are hard to bid ahead of demo, however they keep you informed and do the job correct.
Used Global more than once and will never go anywhere else. Unique selections, great customer service! Jason is great to work with Im a customer for life :)
Owner is very helpful and knowledgeable! Went here several times for items for our bathroom remodel and he was always willing to answer questions and offer advice on how to properly install the items.
Do not use this company. We ordered a bathroom vanity through Global Stone and were promised a two week turnaround. That was two months ago. Now I have learned the wrong cabinet was also ordered. I have left messages for the owner, as well as text messages and get no response. I now have to get a cabinet through a different company. Not to mention my bathroom is incomplete. This company is incompetent and has horrible service.
Have very good selection of products however their ability to deliver custom orders on time is poor. They also have poor communication about updates to schedules. Bottom line selection and price are good but if it is not an in stock item service is pretty poor.
My first time using Global Stone and I have recommended them to everyone. Not only do they have great customer service in the store, but the custom selection is much larger than anywhere else around here. I bought a beautiful color of porcelain wood tile for my basement living area and bathroom and it looks great! I wasnt sure about colors and designs, so the team there really helped me out. Everyone was really helpful in the store helping me choose tile and grout colors which can be very confusing. Installers did a great job even cleaning up! Ive had nothing but compliments looking forward to more updates in my home and will definitely use Global Stone.
These guys definitely know their stone!
The countertops, sink, faucet all turned out great. The installers were great. When they put our fridge back they kinked the water line and caused a leak in our basement. We called and they had someone out to fix it that same day. Which was nice.We would use global stone again HOWEVERwe would not work with John again. Everytime we talked to him he was very arrogant, rude, and acted like he knew what I wanted (he did not know what I wanted). Jason was nice and would work with him again. They called me after the job was done saying I owed more money (which I did not) John harrassed me on the phone (while I was at work) saying he sent me a recipt showing where I owed more money and that I needed to figure it out and pay him. Once I found my recipt where it showed I had payed the full amount I called back and they had figured it out.Very poor customer service and would never work the John again. But the installers were great and countertops were perfect.
I just have to say that I’m really pleased with all of my experiences that I’ve had with Jason. I first met when when I showed up to look at granite remnants. I had anticipated being shown the standard big box store granite, but was pleasantly surprised to be shown some of the most beautiful granite I have ever seen. He gave me a quote on the spot to do everything I wanted to do. After discussing it with my husband, we decided to wait a little bit longer to save up more money. Jason was really great when I told him we needed to wait. While I was there looking at the remnants, I was able to observe Jason talking and working with his employees. Not every owner/ co-owner is nice to their employees, which is a sad statement. That was not at all what I saw with Jason and his employees. You can tell he cares about them and you can tell his employees respect him and look to him for leadership. Anywho, while working on saving up more for the granite (different line item in our budget) I knew I had a very small guest bath that needed to have the carpet removed and tile laid. I knew I could do the physical job myself, so I drove over Global Stone in Olathe. I was greeted by staff and soon, Jason appeared again and helped me out. I told him what I was looking for and told him I was looking for inexpensive tile to lay in the guest bathroom. He showed me tons of options and not a single one of them looked “cheap”, even though they were inexpensive to buy. I ended up purchasing more than I needed and brought back the rest today to the store. Guess who was there again, eager to help? Jason. Even though the tiles were closeouts, he happily refunded me the money and took back the tiles. While I was there, I had another opportunity to witness Jason help one his employees. I know he should be kind and gracious with his employees, after all, they are the backbone to every good company, but as I’ve stated before, I’ve seen owners treat employees horribly and that’s just not how Jason seems to be. I’m just super impressed with Jason’s attitude when dealing with everyone. It doesn’t matter if you have a tiny budget or a large one, Jason seems to treat everyone the same, and I appreciate that.
Interesting small tile shop. Limited sales staff
There tv ad is so loud and annoying. If they think its attractive they are to out of touch or stupid to know what is good taste. Get rid of Jason
We special ordered tile for a bathroom project from Global Stone a few months ago. After opening the tile, we realized that some of it was the wrong color. Fortunately, we had ordered a little extra and didnt need those pieces. When my husband returned the pieces that were the wrong color the owner/manager ( the man with the glasses in the commercials) would barely speak to him and didnt apologize for the mistake or offer a refund. We got the feeling that they didnt want to be bothered with small do-it-yourself projects like ours. Weve received much better service from Lowes and Home Depot. We wont be returning to Global Stone.
Good selection owner wants to help
Poor service, wont return emails or voicemails. They got my money in March of 2019 and still havent got us all the cabinet pieces and its September.........
I have had a very bad experience in this store, the lady who attends has a very bad attitude and does not treat customers well
I have given a lot of thought before writing this review about our horrible experience with Global Stone. I wanted to wait to write until things had settled down from our remodel of two bathrooms, kitchen and carpet. I feel compelled to write because I truly would not want anyone else to go through the misery we did with Global Stone. When people ask me about who we used for our stone and tile and I tell them our miserable experience with Global Stone, they usually say, The ones with the horrible commercials? I have never seen what apparently are ridiculous commercials. Had I seen them, I doubt I would have set foot in the place. I like professionally run places and they apparently dont care about the image they project. Let me say that this is the absolute classic BAIT AND SWITCH!!! They know it all along and have instructed their sales people to sell one thing on the floor in their showroom, knowing full well that the granite, marble or quartz you are so carefully selecting will not be what you get, but instead something they choose from their remnants. You may order one type tile (in our case a large size subway), but once installed, it is a size they choose, trying to rid their over-stocked back room. If you go to them in person to try to figure out what in the process went wrong, the two owners sit and stare at your, emotionless, with no comment or acknowledgement that they have let you down. They do not care. Their callous comments to me included, Life is not perfect, Things are a mess in the backroom and We are opening a second store up north and things are a mess. This is their method of operation. The sad thing is that they have convinced and deluded themselves into thinking that this is normal and professional. One owner had the sadly misplaced audacity to pray at the end of one of our sessions in his showroom as I carefully made my backsplash and marble vanity selections. He prayed, then turned right around and took advantage of me. In addition to ignoring the choices you make, they then do not come close to honoring the price they originally quoted. I can honestly say that this is the most disappointed I have ever been in my life in dealing with anyone. We all know that making choices and decisions for ones home is so very personal and long-lasting. They have NO regard for you. They have been quoted by my remodeler as saying that despite their taking advantage of me that I was now happy. They are wrong. I made do with their intentional switches and being unscrupulous. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. I am not happy! And if the owner, Dave, prays for you, be careful.
We shopped here back in September 2017 for a kitchen remodel. The experience was a total waste of time. The sales person, Abby, quoted us a price on tile and countertops. Fortunately, I took pictures of the front and back of all the tile selections, which included pricing. At the last minute, when we were going to pay, she changed the pricing to almost $10 more a sf on the tile. It was selling $15 less a sf elsewhere. She also yanked the pricing off of the back of the tile. When I called her out on it and showed her pictures, stating they cannot legally do this, she quickly back tracked and honored the advertised pricing, claiming they recently increased the price on the tile. She looked really nervous. So, I decided to go home and think about it and made some calls to kitchen remodelers. When I mentioned Global Stones name to two remodelers, they stated they refused to complete our project if we chose to contract with them. Why? They stated they screw up on installations frequently, specifically countertop. One example included an install where they failed to make sure the kitchen countertops were level, so the customer ended up with no countertops for almost 6 weeks due to not being able to install. When I said something to the salesperson about it, she gave me an excuse saying they recently went through a transition and fired installers for these types of problems. She stated we could be assured that we wouldnt have problems with their installation, because she would make sure of it. Right. She was a salesperson--she was not a foreman. Obviously, unless she planned on sitting through the entire installation, she could not guarantee we would not have problems. Empty promises. They were also completely overpriced on faucets and kitchen sinks. They wanted almost $1500 for a farmhouse sink. We found the exact same one online for $600. The pull-down semi-professional faucet was about $1000. We could buy a better made one elsewhere for $600. So, we bolted. In the end, she was sending us desperate sounding e-mails saying she wanted our business. The e-mails were way too desperate. If we had not already decided to go elsewhere that would have been the last straw.
Very pleased with the Global Stone team from the store to service and work done at the house. They followed up on all our questions and showed up to make sure all the work was completed to our satisfaction.
Stopped in to look at counter top and carpet options. I received prompt and very professional and knowledgable assistance from the very same obnoxious guy in the commercial. Pricing and selection of granite is very good too.
There is not much more to say other than what Susana said. I have never written a review, but our experience was so bad that I felt compelled to write one. We had so many issues with this company, I dont even know where to start. Anything from scheduling, to showing up on different dates, to minor fixes not being fixed, forgetting to order materials, we pretty much had it all. Products are good, but prolly on the expensive side when you take into account all the troubles... The customer service side, might be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please save yourself the headache, wish we did.P.S the independent contractor that actually did the work was great, but the parent company made it difficult.
Save yourself! Full kitchen remodel, and going with Global Stone was the worst decision we ever made. A 2-week project turned into 2-months thanks to their incompetence and lack of follow up. Tile that does not get ordered as promised. Calls that do not get returned. Floor that does not get installed correctly and takes 3 weeks to fix... installers that take our materials with them; granite that does not seem to ever fully get installed correctly; credits that are promised and not given. Worst Customer Service AWARD...
Did not acknowledge me walking in, even though there were 2 people at the desk and 2 in the showroom working. Was there 15 minutes and another couple walked in and the waited on them, no me. Waited another 10 minutes and walked closed ro the sales guy. I was still ignored. I have lived in Johnson County all my life and I did not look like a bum. Their customer service freaken sucks!I will never be back and never send anyone there
A company must go to extraordinary measures to drive me to write a review. In doing so, I can only hope to save another builder the frustration. In the process of building a new home, our builder had a long-standing relationship with Global Stone. Early in the process, my wife and I started to see issues with their processes. We met with Dave, the owner, as he guided us through our selections. We found items we liked, but had to be closely guided through the process as many items were not priced or could not be ordered. Global stone has a single e-mail address. After emailing the plans 3 times, I had to provide a set of blueprints to Dave, so he could provide us a quote. Following repeated requests, I received the initial quote, which was more than $5,000 overbudget. Dave admitted he did not thoroughly calculate the square footage and assured me the excess material could be returned. He used the square footages I provided him which put us underbudget. We then waited for Dave to contact our builder for payment. Due to the continued issues, the builder had started the process of switching vendors. We promptly removed our granite and hardwood from the order. We found that Lowe’s had many of the same product as GS but for less. Dave agreed to match the price. We purchased our own tile from other vendors as GS often sells you something they do not stock. They promise it will be a couple of days, and those days turn into weeks. After finalizing the list, both myself and my builder continued to ask Dave to get the tile ordered. More than a week went by without Dave returning phone calls. My builder had to call the mother of one of the owners to push this through. If it hadn’t been so much work to pick out the tile, we wouldn’t have ordered anything from Global Stone. After the tile was ordered, it took several days longer than promised. After following up several times, we were notified it was in. After arriving to the store to pick up the tile, we were informed it was only partially received and would be in the following day. Dave did not offer to deliver the tile, but said we could pick it up the next day. I agreed and we moved on. We needed an additional box of tile and was told we could pick it up in a couple of days. After waiting 3 days, I called to follow up. I was told it wasn’t in and would be in the next day. This went on for 4 days. After many excuses, I was informed the tile was at Emzer and was asked if I could pick it up. I informed Dave that I would not be taking off more time to go and pick up tile. He conceded to deliver the tile. Next is the carpet. We had seen their work in other houses and had to be present to ensure they did not make the same mistakes they had prior. We were not present for the entire stair install which had to be finished the next day. Christopher Davis, who for some reason has written a 5-star review, manages the carpet installations. In fact, several of the positive reviews have been written by the employees. The uninstalled stair carpet was placed in our master bedroom. After the carpet was installed, we put down carpet protector. As my wife was installing the carpet protector, along with one of our subs, she noticed a strange line in the carpet. We concluded by the time line it must have occurred while the stair carpet was being cut. We immediately contacted Dave to let him know what we found. Dave agreed to send Chris Davis out to look at the damage. Since the carpet protector was near, and a crease was in the carpet protector, Chris concluded my wife must have cut the carpet. Dave wouldn’t tell me this himself, instead sent a text telling me to contact Chris. Chris told me there was no way it was the stair installer and told me I could pay to have it replaced or live with it. We are currently living with it, so thank you Chris. Lastly, after being told by Dave that all the additional tile could be returned, we were then informed special-order and partial tile could not be returned. GS is disorganized, dishonest, and shady.
Who cares about the commercial? The bottom line is, is the product displayed & advertised of great quality? We would say YES! We searched for 2 years, & found the perfect Granite for our Kitchen countertops at Global Stone in Olathe, Ks. Outside of it being the perfect piece of Granite, the pricing was beyond fair, and that is what made us decide to move forward. Kyrsten, our sales associate was a new hire, and needed some guidance in writing up our invoice, but we all need to start somewhere, right? She listened attentively & we were beyond satisfied with her assistance. Within days of making our initial deposit, Chuck, the Production Manager, called & was in our home the next day. He was methodical in his measurements, and took time to listen to our concerns about the origination of the Granite. He made some calls, & we had our answer before he left our home. He spoke highly of the workers that pull the Granite & design it off of his measurements. He also spoke highly of the company. We knew we were in good hands, and had made the right decision. We were originally told the Granite installation was 3 weeks out, but were pleasantly surprised to be scheduled in less than 2 weeks from initial deposit. Chris, & another installer showed up at 9 am, & had the Granite installed, & they were walking out the door by 11:30 am. Wow! Our only con to this whole process would be, someone to touch base with us (like a coordinator?) to let us know where we were in the timeline, confirm we were a go for install, & to tie up any loose ends, ie: kitchen cleared & ready for them? (We elected to remove our existing countertops ourselves). Theres no doubt, we will definitely purchase from Global Stone again, & will be referring family, & clients to them!
Great selection, very personal and knowledgeable staff.
Great selection and the quality of the products is even better!
They tell you one thing and then and somthing else they lie to people i wouldnt go there for nothing not trustworthy not good
They have great selection for kitchen and bath materials
Seriously, your screaming TV ad is rubbish. That, alone, would never have me using the services of your company. To the networks you advertise on: just know this ad has me turn the channel - every time.
They have the worst advertising I have ever seen. It makes my day worse.
Dont know about their service, but their commercials are terribly annoying, loud, obnoxious, and absurd...
Very helpful.
All because of Lino!
Nice people
