With the new owners, almost everything has improved. A great local grocer worth being a standard go-to.
This is my new favorite grocery store the food is inexpensive and customer service is awesome. I havent been in here since it was buy for less I got up to the register and was greeted by Shannon she was great. I told her it means a lot when you have a good attitude especially in the times we are in. Pruetts definitely has a good hire there. So either that being said two thumbs up👍👍
Very happy products & deli didnt change but service IMPROVED!
My first visit to this store was today. The store is clean and the shelves are well organized. I found what I needed quickly AND a bag of roasted peanuts!
Great store if you are a snooty white woman. You pay a premium for Best Choice or other off brands. Also Highland OJ is 7 bucks here at Pruetts. Ill shop at Crest or Winco. Thanks for trying though.
Considering I wore my pjs out the house, and had my son and his girlfriend to pick these out for me. Technology had him sending this pic out to me, asking, r these the one you want. 😆🤣
Prices are crazy high. Good selection of extracts. I would not do my regular grocery shopping here bc its so expensive.
I got the red line 2 door option. Once I was next it literally took 30 mins and I was out. The 15% is actually darker than other 15%s and I love it. You can really feel the temperature difference its amazing! Def will be going back for the other windows.
The Pharmacy is the best! I don’t go anywhere else always friendly and they go out of their way to get you the lowest price. Their customer service is second to no one you don’t have to wait and they remember my name. You just don’t see that anymore. The grocery store is the most ethnically diverse with something for everyone including healthy options in OKC. Definitely worth stopping to shop.
This place is now Pruitts Food. Nice store but meat prices was too high. They advertise low prices so families can eat without costing an arm and a leg but thats not do true. WinCo, and Walmart are much cheaper.
Good prices. Selection is comparable to Wal-Mart. However none of the staff (outside of food prep) was wearing masks nor practicing social distance.
Their sale prices are really good. Standard prices can be on the high side. Their email bargains can be unbelievable including items that are free. The store is on the small side so don’t expect a large variety of products. In the meat section you should look for the yellow stickers for markdown items. And while going through the store look for the red tags for clearance items.
This grocery store has some AWESOME HOT MEALS IN THE BACK RIBS MESTLOAF WINGS CHICKEN STRIPS BRISKET.. ALL KINDS OF MEALS
Its really a good place I am able to buy food and eat it at the store really nice and saves lots of money and food stamps always good deals and clean bathrooms
This lady was so rude. Yelling at my husband over a riding cart. there was no out of order on them anywhere just plastic bags on them how were we supposed to know they didnt workI will never shop here again .Sep 30/2021 3:15Dont shop here!!
Geat deals Love their food in deli department
Good grocery store. The workers were very helpful.
Now that it is owned by Pruetts it is just....meh. Does not have the same or variety of selections we have come to love from Buy-4Less. No alcohol is being sold at all, so thats a second trip somewhere else if you are having a party or a cookout. Lots of bare shelves. Will be going elsewhere, which makes me sad because Ive been shopping here for years. Staff was nice and the only reason I have 2 stars.
The store is so clean and the prices are alot better. My only complaint is the employees are just not that nice. I really dont like having to say this about a neighborhood store.
First time in a year that I had shopped there, lot of changes but, still a great store, with great values.
Spacious and well lit. Fantastic prices
Prices are insanely high. Youre better off going to Walmart.
Its bitter sweet with no Buyfor less, however Pruitts seem to be nice and some great deals week 9f July 16th through 22nd of July. 63rd expressway. Also the previous owners are Super Amazing People. Great towards the staff and letting them all know how wonderful they are.
New store, prices were high if it wasnt a sale item. Employees seem nice
New ownership, high prices, but some good buys. Pork chops 99 cents a pound.
Beware: this isn’t Buy For Less anymore; it’s now Pruitt’s. If you are expecting Buy For Less prices, you’re going to be disappointed. Nearly everything in here is now higher priced than other grocery stores, in some cases over dollar more than the exact same item at Crest. They even had a sign in front of the Horizon Organic milk falsely claiming to have the best price on it (sorry; that’s actually Walmart). I bought a pint of half-and-half that was priced the same as a quart at other stores. We visited the meat aisle and purchased 3 “porterhouse” steaks for Father’s Day. I have to say I was very disappointed in their quality. Mine in particular was quite fibrous and tough, even though it was perfectly cooked (seared and rare). Full of gristle, and well-nigh impossible to chew. Pretty sure they too were falsely labeled; they looked identical to the “t-bone” steaks also for sale. And they were all old, having that odd “buttery” smell of meat that’s about to turn. (that experience is what prompted this review). Yes, I went ahead and cooked them having experience in such matters. Most disappointing of all was the extreme increase in house-made salsa prices! $4.99 for like a quarter-pound of salsa?? Basically a cup??? GTFO. That’s literally quadruple what it was when it was BFL. Ok; so this location is clearly no longer my “go to” for fresh-made salsa. That’s ok; mine was always better anyway, but BFL was always a solid second, and an acceptable substitute if I didn’t have time or energy to make my own. Guess it’s all on me now.So why two stars instead of one? Like Buy For Less before it, they do still have some unique items I haven’t found anywhere else. They do have a good selection of Made in Oklahoma items. And their avocados were great, perfectly ripe and ready to go; we were able to make guacamole the same day, something we usually have to go to Morelo’s to accomplish (no hardship, that; we have a Morelo’s less than half a mile from us). But they were on sale so it could have been a special buy situation rather than a regular thing. In fact their produce section was still as extensive as BFL’s.Time will tell if those positives remain. I’ll leave that for others to discover, however. If you live close, Pruitt’s might be worth it for the convenience factor, but I don’t, so it isn’t.
This store has the .out beautiful fruits and vegetables, they are so fresh. The deli is better than any fast food, hot or cold food. Top restaurant quality food
Its changing. Hopefully for the better. Name not formally changed yet but bought out by Pruetts. Pruetts is a grocery chain in the smaller towns in OK. This is their first foray into a big city but they are making a major financial mistake. No more wine/beer sales. I appreciate personal beliefs but it wont go over as well here in Oklahoma City.
You need to have more people on registers. Im handicapped and its extremely hard to go through the fast lane. I notice theres a lot more than me that is frustrated with the situation. We shouldnt have do wait 20 minutes when trying to check out. And I spend lots of my money there. Lots.
Had exactly what I needed.
It’s a wonderful grocery market!
They do not offer as many varieties since they are no longer Buy for Less.
All beer, wine and alcohol has been removed from the store, and shelves were not very well stocked. Got what I needed for dinner tonight, but will shop my regular place for the rest of the week.
What can I say, its Buy For Less? Good food choices, friendly workers, and good location. Yes, theirs is Crest, Winco, Save a lot, but I like Buy For Less.
People were VERY helpful! 5 stars! But since I didnt find one of my hard-to-find items, I went to other stores trying to find it, and instead found lower prices on the items Id bought at Buy For Less. Not so happy about higher prices there!
Pretty nice place, some really good deals if you look
Its a good place to shop waiting to see the new changes
Favorite grocery store I hate they took the one away on 36th and MacArthur that was the best one since its gone this is the best and the only one left
Almost everything in the store has a sale on it. And they are good sales at that.
Was amazing manager shane kennedy gave us a tour beautiful displays deli was nice
Pretty good grocery store
I go to buy for less once a week to buy some groceries for work. Great staff, good prices, better quality products with the new owner and new name.
Clean. Well stocked. Nicely laid out. Bargains on some items, the rest are overpriced. They do sack your groceries.
Less crowded than Crest or Walmart stores. Large selection of products, some hard to find items.
Seems to being going downhill since Pruett acquisition.Customers are a lesser priority, most definitely an inconvenience to staff. When shopping it seems like management feels workers are inconveniencing them, that is also unfortunate, hope they didnt have to take a pay cut.
I used to like shopping at this store. always clean and friendly staff. But with the new owners, no weekly sales, prices first customers second, and with WinCo and Aldis a stone throughs away, I find them to be more family budget-friendly... I wish them all the luck though.
This place was great, a diverse variety of products and not over priced.
Great Customer Service and the pharmacist is always there to answer questions
Good place to shop, friendly cashiers
This store is clean. Found out it is under new management. Lots of food and a variety of it. Shelves were full of food. Some of the prices have gone up on many items. They dont sell beer and wine anymore.
Zero stars. The employees NEVER say thank you...especially the one working up front at the self checkout. VERY UNFRIENDLY
Great variety of stuff that you cant find in some other grocers.
Store is a little confusing where things are but great prices and service
Alan Schmoyer at Buy For Less pharmacy (NW Expwy) is an amazing man! LOVE this store. The pharmacy staff are so friendly and knowledgeable! THANK YOU for doing a great job and for caring about us! Will never go anywhere else!
EDIT: I have never been to Pruetts Food. My review was about Buy For Less.I was a little disappointed my favs had been eliminated from the deli, but if you like the jalapeno turkey salad then you can still find it at Uptown Grocers. 😊
Nice, clean, and always has a nice selection of meat.
Pharmacy is top notch! The pharmacist Alan is extremely helpful and very friendly!! I have recommended everyone I know to this Pharmacy! I live in Edmond and still drive all the way over to the expressway because of the outstanding service! Thanks Alan and crew! You guys are awesome!!!
Cherries brought me to this store, was not disappointed
Looking for my dogs refrigerated food, FreshPets and no store has it. CREST in Edmond didnt and 23rd and Meridian didnt have it. Its been hard to find for weeks.
Love the place. the produce and meat department very fresh
The store nice and clean staff was helpful and kind
The employees are great. The store, however, has changed ownership in the last couple of weeks and things are changing. Disappointed in the move to remove wine, as well as the increase in many of the prices.
I’m so disappointed. I used to LOVEE coming here for all my shopping. The past few weeks almost all of the fruits and vegetables that I have bought were moldy. Asparagus, strawberry’s, watermelon, EVERYTHING. it’s getting annoying. Even the cashier was like do you want to change them for a new pack.??? ... no because they ALL look the same.
Great sales great service
Miss being able to buy a fresh cinnamon roll
Have been shopping at NW Expressway store weekly since 2007. Now there are new owners and it is shocking how it has changed. Prices have really rocketed, and they have totally removed all beer and wine from the store, also the customer service kiosk has shut permanently..no more lottery, Western Union etc. Will not be returning, dont think they realise as a shopper I have choices.
Great company to work for. Awesome pay & benefits
Expensive for the area, being not far from winco and sams club. they did have unadvertised specials. butcher was helpful with taking care of issue.
A million times better than Walmart they have everything & its not crowded
Interesting store grew up on this one and mainly the old one that use to be on 23rd and Penn keep up the great job
Clean organized so much better than the other places.
If youre going to work early in the morning you can stop by this grocery store and get you a to-go plate for breakfast, they have biscuits and gravy sausage eggs bacon different scrambler dishes and breakfast burritos and a few other things that are really good, they give you a bunch of food and its cheaper than most fast food restaurants
Great selection. No shushi tho
I absolutely HATE your Self Checkout prompts to the scanners!!! The time it takes to scan.........wait........turn RED.......then GREEN.......to go again IS RIDICULOUS!! I am positive that you can reset or set your self-checkout timmer in between items to GO FASTER!!! OMG!!! I have actually been here checking out and literally NOT BOUGHT ITEMS BECAUSE OF THIS!! Such a waste of time and SO DANG SLOW!!!
Always quick service.i can find things here that I cant at Walmart.
Not too crowded. Good deals!!
The store was clean. I love the sales and meat specials.
Not enough lanes were open waited in line unnecessarily too long
I like this Buy 4 Less. Its more like a regular store than a discount store and it has a good selection. Its also roomy and has a calm feeling.
Great place to shop prices ok clean store. Had problems with setting up curbside pickup
Clean and neat. Was surprised to find no green onions, except organic. Prices are high. I ended up buying sale items only
The store has really gone downhill in the last couple of years apparently they are going through a change so that youre going to be owned by a different company I guess. However I think making you wait 45 minutes to get service in the bakery is ridiculous though!!!
Did not have what I was looking for n prices were not for less mm
Great prices and they have added a cute lounge area perfect for lunch breaks!
Its amazing more than your usual supermarket. They have a lovely florist shop inside with beautiful flower arrangements. They also carry a with variety of products. Such as natural and organic products. Another neat thing about Buy for Less is the have small sections I the store that constantly change displays with the upcoming holiday season and a section that changes with the time of year. Like summer they have flip flops, ice chest, beach towels etc. Winter gloves, scarves, wool stockings hats etc. Very well laid out supermarket. Its one of my favorite.
Used to be my only store to shop at, but theyre a little more expensive than they used to be
They changed their name
Prescriptions are ready in about 5 min. Great customer service. Most of the time my prescriptions are ready by the time I drive from my doctors office.
I use to Love this store. Theyve ruined it. I might as well go to Wal-Mart. Same lines
Prices keep increasing plus person at door is rude. Cashiers usually will crush your prepared food like sushi, and deli items you preferred stay nice and fresh looking instead of everything being stuck to the lid and smashed up.
Great store, their cheese selection is unbeatable, amazing florists, the deli and hot counter always has something good cooking up. prices are fair and decent! highly recommend this store!
Its now called Pruetts
The best pharmacy around. Personal service and very helpful.
