My garage door spring got sprung as 2PM on Monday, and OGD had great reviews. The Technician, Cody Ferrell, was on a big job that took longer, and their Dispatch asked if we could reschedule. I told them that I could not, because both my cars were inside and the door wouldnt open, but if he could get the door to open manually, then we could hold off a few days. Cody showed up at 7 PM and completely fixed our garage door! I am so glad I called OGD, and really glad they have folks like Cody Ferrell working for them!

Such a disappointing experience. My garage door needed to be replaced and I had OGD out to give me an estimate. The guy was nice, but left out some very important details. I could get a 5% discount if I paid in full today- but I was charged 2.5% to use my credit card. Net 2.5% discount!! This was August 2nd. After a week, I called to get an ETA on the arrival of my garage door. They could not give me an answer. I waited some more.August 18th I received a message that the projected arrival would be end of September. I texted and called to cancel the order and refund my money as I wanted to find another option to get my door installed sooner. (the next day, I called a company and had the door installed two days later) I called numerous times to speak to the person that I needed to talk with, they were never available.When I finally got to speak with the person I was told that my money was non -refundable, and I should have given them the opportunity to find the door and install it. I did give them an opportunity, on the very first visit. I was never told it would take an extended time to arrive, and then they said it was a special order. (charged me $250 for special order) No, it is the basic aluminum door. I paid the full amount of $1900.00.The manager Chris was very unprofessional when he spoke to me basically telling me i was SOL. He said that the deposit is non-refundable, but what I paid was in full I felt I deserved a partial refund.Payment in full is not a deposit.The truth of the matter is that you always know the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it.I called today (11/3/2021) and asked them to deliver the garage door that I paid for. I did not want it installed. I was told the price has gone up $500, so in order to get the door that I have already paid in full, I will now have to pay an extra $500 to get it. Beware of this company!!!!I spoke with several garage door companies about this kind of business practice and NOT ONE had good things to say about OGD!!

When I first called and asked for a quote to replace 2 springs, I was told they couldnt give a quote because they were in the process of raising prices and someone would have to come out, look at what needed to be done, then give me a quote. I stressed several times that I wanted a quote BEFORE any work was done. So I made an apt. When I received the text that the tech was on his way, I once again stated I wanted a quote BEFORE any work was done. However, the tech arrived, did the work and then said it would be $624.00! Since I had gotten a quote the day before from a different company, 5 star rating, for $289.00, I was not happy to say the least! When I tried to call to talk to someone about this, I find that the numbers listed on the website were answering services. I then find out that their main company is in Texas! After finally getting someone at the company to actually speak with, Im told how their springs were so much better and they did all this extra stuff, like lube the wheels, and check the bearings, NOT WHAT I HAD ASKED THEM TO DO! Not a good way to do business! When someone ask for a QUOTE, thats what they want not do the work then hit them with a bill double of what another company has quoted them!

This company was chosen because they have a high rating and because I noticed it was operated by Veterans! Love Veterans! The technician was friendly and explained clearly what the problem was and what the options were. He quickly did the work/ cleanup. Very happy with the work and highly recommend this company.

I cannot say enough about how amazed I was at how quickly the technician showed up, I called and he was there in like 20 mins and had our garage door fixed in less than 2 hours, needless to say he turned my whole day around....I was worried I was going to have to leave my garage door hanging off the rails and our garage open over night, but even though calling late in the afternoon he had my garage fixed and my family was able to feel safe for the night!! They sent a hard working guy that has never installed a gate before and charged me a premium. Couldn’t install it properly. They never trained him. Follow through was awful. Gate now opens and closes randomly for no apparent reason. Avoid! Now having to hire a REAL gate company to resolve the problem.

He took us through step by step, and told us what he was going to do. Also he showed us the year difference in the springs which helped a lot. His knowledge was very, very helpful. The experience was great. Thank you once again for your help.

I was able to call and get someone out to fix my garage door the same day! That is what I call great customer service! They gave me a 2 hour arrival window and the repairman was here a little early inspected what needed to be fixed gave me my options didn’t pressure me, let me make up my own mind, as a single older woman I appreciated that very much! I would say I had a unique situation to start with. The new garage door opener was probably faulty somehow. But this led to being told I needed an electrician to rerun wiring in my attic and a garage door than randomly opened on it own all hours of the day. I paid the electrician to come on site only to find out nothing was wrong. OGD reluctantly agreed to reimbursement (lots of calls... lots of voicemails on my part). This started Mid October 2020. As of March 2021 still no reimbursement.

Called OGD for a new garage door opener. At this point I could not get my garage door open. They were very quick to come out. The tech was very friendly and very professional. He was quick and efficient. I felt he went out of his way to do a good job. The plus was they were $100 less than the previous company I called. I would highly recommend OGD.

We had somebody from OGD come out on March 19th to replace our wall mount that wasnt working. Caesar and another gentleman came out and convinced us to also have the garage door serviced. He did all the servicing in the same time that it took the other gentleman to screw the wall mount back into the wall. Im not sure if the other guy was a friend or just very new, but he obviously didnt know what he was doing. The night of April 5th our spring on the garage door snapped. I called at 8:00 that evening since they advertise as a 24 hour service and the lady said she would put it down as an emergency. My husband called back at 10:00 and she said the technician wasnt answering, but they would send it to a manager. Nobody ever showed and I had to take an unnecessary day off of work. The next day I called and the guy said he didnt see a work order from when I called the night before, but he did see one from my husband. He scheduled somebody to come between 1 and 3 and that should get a confirmation text shortly. I never got one. My husband called around 11 and got somebody scheduled between 12 and 2. They told him that his work order from the previous night (when nobody showed up) was closed out and the technician put that we had scheduled for the following day. My husband finally got the confirmation text and Josh was at our house shortly after 12:00. Josh was absolutely amazing and the only reason Im giving a 3 star rating! He was very nice and very patient with my 4 year old son who watched everything that he did. If you need a 24 hour service, dont call OGD. If you do use OGD, request Josh!

The company had someone out the same day I called, and the technician was knowledgeable and willing to do a full replacement right there, at 6pm! He also worked with us on the price! We are pleased!

I called in the morning to share my issues with my garage door. They scheduled me same day and had a technician at my house in a matter of hours. His name was Matt. He was super nice and professional. He gave me a fair deal, had a bran new replacement for everything in his truck, and had it replaced very quickly. It works great and I have a new opener with a ten year warranty. I recommend these folks to do the job.

Our technician (Reginald Evans) from OGD was knowledgeable and professional. Fixed our issue quickly and was very friendly. Really appreciated that he wore a mask during this current COVID19 pandemic. Would definitely use again!

Excellent service from OGD. Could not open my very heavy garage door after a tension spring broke. The tech, Chris, got to my house around 9:30 PM and clearly knew exactly what he was doing, was very friendly, and didn’t act put out to have to do this job so late in the evening. He replaced both springs and the rollers and ensured the door was perfectly balanced. Chris finished the job at midnight and everything was back in service better than it had been. Really great service and technician! Would not hesitate to recommend OGD.

Made numerous calls about a problem with work,No on will call back and no one answers phone.

This company came out today to replace a broken spring on our garage door. They reported they didnt have the correct size but stated they could put on 3 springs for $800. My wife politely said no. The price then went down to $634 all of a sudden....not sure why necessarily. The men then left when we said we will get another company to give us an estimate.We had another company come out on the same day with the correct spring and fix the door for a grand total of $190.00.You can draw your own conclusions. I will keep mine to myself.

DISHONEST. I was quoted a range of $150-$300 to fix both springs on RESIDENTIAL garage door. The dispatched contract technician Kevin wanted to charge me over $450 for the repair saying my springs were different and that he had to get them since his truck had only the regular ones. I refused and told him what price I was quoted and that I would use different company that gave me a detail cost plus tax a total of $310. Kevin then lowered the cost to flat $400. Since it was close to 5:00 pm and I need to take my car out of the garage for an appointment the next morning, and did not have enough time to call back the other company. I had to let him fix it for that price. Upon my agreement on the repair, he then just used 2 springs that were from his truck. When I questioned him that he told me my springs were different, he then told me he called the office and was told the ones in his truck would work...yea right! The next day, I received a text message from OGD asking me how much was I charged for the repair….Really? Did your tech provide your office a fake invoice that did not match what he charged me??

My garage repairman, Jared, I think, was great. He gave me an estimate for the price, got my door working again and when he had to replace more than wed originally believed, he was able to come down on the price to help me out. He was also very informative on the process and polite while working with us.

The technician came before the appointed time, which was great because we needed use of the garage door. He was very courteous, very fast, and explained everything he needed to do in detail. I found my self getting trapped in the house because lucky me my spring and cable broke on my garage door. I was getting frustrated with companies saying they were 24/7 but really was not. I stumbled upon this company and I am glad that I did. So I placed the call and right away I was talking to someone. They put my mind at ease and reassured me that everything was okay. They got me a technician for the same day which is what I needed. I was sent who was my technician before they even arrived which I though was great. The technician came to my house saw the issue and then corrected something that was wrong. Not only did they put my mind at ease but they definitely made my day. Little did we know, our door was getting ready to collapse on us at any moment, because our cables were stripped and hinges were the wrong size from installation over 15 years ago. Quick and professional...and all on New Years Eve!

Jared (the tech who did the work) was terrific. He made recommendations but no high pressure stuff. Had a spring replaced, new rollers, and new bracket mount for track assembly above the door. Total cost was higher than expected but included door/rail adjustments and sensor alignment/adjustment. 5 year parts warranty. I’d likely use them again, especially if Jared was assigned to the job.

I called OGD one morning with a complaint that my garage door would open and shut sometimes!!! I was scheduled for a service call that very day. I was told that depending on what had to be done at the time of the visit it would be determined what savings coupon would be used to save me the most money. Cant beat that. The technician was on time! I was alerted by text that he was on the way to my home. Sure enough my garage door opened once and the next time it did not. He checked everything. Motor, spring, tracts, and all the sensors. Then something caught his eye. One of the door senors near the floor had a light that would blink off and on. One of the electoral wires was barely connected and was shorting out. Fixed that and it has worked perfectly since. He was also kind enough to share some tips on taking care of the spring and tracts to help with a longer life for my door. I will sing OGDs praises forever.Patricia R.
