I got my vehicle back yesterday after they replaced the fuel pump. I am super happy with the service! They are friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me a very clearly written estimate. Everyone I encountered at Shepherd was kind and amiable, and I was very excited by the way they communicated with me and by their customer service overall.Unfortunately, I was given a repair estimate of $4,400 based on their diagnostic. The diagnosis was accurate, but the quote was off by $1,500 due to an inaccurate evaluation of the price of the transmission. A $4,400 repair bill was extremely close to the top end of what I was willing to spend to repair my 2005 Acura, and both Chris and Guy clearly expressed that they understood it would not be worth paying much over this amount (since that’s very nearly what the vehicle is worth).Ultimately, though they had already begun the repair when I received the accurate total, I asked them to please put everything back together.I would have loved to rate Shepherd highly based solely on the niceness of everyone I encountered, but I was compelled to abandon the repair because of the wayward estimate.

Sent here by Discount Tire to get a broken wheel stud fixed. They were patient and incredibly professional. I have never used this shop before and typically go to the dealership, but these guys were awesome.

Shepherd was awesome! We are traveling cross country but had to drop our truck by last night after it broke down. They started looking at it first thing in the morning and had it finished up by 1pm! All very nice guys that made sure our vehicle was safe to drive the rest of the way to a California!Just a random act of kindness to show how awesome these guys really are... We had all of our suitcases strapped down in the bed of truck, and unfortunately it started raining this morning. But when we got to Shepherd, they had tied down a tarp over all of the suitcases and kept them dry for us.Definitely would recommend these guys!

Guy works so hard to make us happy, we have taken 4 different cars to him over the years and highly recommend. Had a situation once where there was some concern about the repair and the guys at Shepherd picked up a spare key from my home and went to the parking lot I left the car (I was out of town for a few days) got the car, fixed the issue a second time and returned the car to the lot in time for me to get it when I got back in town. I had smashed into a neighbors car one early morning, caused no damage to their car (yes, I left a note) and totaled my left rear tail-light. Id heard all sorts of horror stories about many automotive businesses in town and being new to the area, and new to my job - I passed their shop on the way home and decided to pull in and ask if they could replace the tail light. Not only did they replace it within one morning, it matched perfectly, couldnt tell anything had ever been damaged, and they only charged me for the part itself. Id recommend them to everyone - I dont know what happened for that guy with the A/C problem but Ive not had a bad experience with these guys, and theyve all been polite and helpful.

The guys at Shepherd Automotive removed and replace a fuel pump plus an oil change on my F250. They took very good care of me and are very honest about what they are doing or going to do to help get you back on the road. I highly recommend them.

I made an appointment to have my timing belt replaced and A/C fixed on Friday. They said it could be done in one day. I dropped it off before they opened and they called me at 11:30 (3.5hrs to diagnose an A/C????) with a diagnosis for my A/C (as well as $2,000 worth of other needed repairs). I said fix the A/C and timing belt. He said Ok we should have it done by Monday. I told him we have 4 kids and need the van this weekend. He said the repairs call for 5 hrs and it would be close for them to get it done today so they could do the timing belt today and I could bring it back for the A/C. With not much of a choice that is what I did. They got the work done the next day I was able to bring it in.I feel like they didnt respect my time or the hassle it is to arrange for my wife and kids to have no transportation all day. If you tell a customer you can do something and then find out it might take an extra 30 minutes, I expect you to uphold your word especially when it should have been diagnosed first thing in the morning which would have left plenty of time to complete the job that day. Also they recommended a $40 or $50 oil change because my oil was low. I checked my oil after I picked it up and oddly enough it was slightly overfull. They also tried to charge me an extra $80 for part of the a/c service. I called him out on it and he quickly fixed it. Even though when I paid he had to fix it again because it was still $10 more than he said.What probably bothered me most was that when I mentioned my frustrations all I received was a list of excuses as to why they were not going to do what they said they would do.Overall the work was fine. The a/c works great and the their prices were the best I could find. The counter guy Gene was polite, but needs to know that customers dont want to hear excuses.Not a bad place to take your vehicle, but just as questionable as most other shops. Review your bill before paying and youll probably be fine. I went out of my way to go to Shepherd Automotive, but probably wont pass by 30 other shops next time I need work done.

I am glad I found Shepherd auto for my car repairs! My husband and I were going to San Antonio for vacation and we were getting the oil changed. Their tecnichians noticed our tire wear and told us of their concern. We decided to get our tires thru Shepherd Auto. They got our tires and replaced them while we waited then we were on our way! I had a really good experience working with Shepherd Automotive, they went above and beyond to fix the front end of my Toyota Sequoia.

Had them replace the air conditioner in my wifes car a few years ago. I spent over $900 to get everything replaced now 27,000 miles later the air is out again and they are saying over $1400 to fix it again! How can the factory air conditioner work for 11 years from the factory but their work cant even make it 3 years? Obviously I would not recommend them to ANYONE! Be advised! They really dont even deserve one star but it wont let me post this without at least a star.

I discovered Guy Shepherds place about 10 years ago when I bought a tank of gas that had some diesel in it. After they drained the tank at a Dodge dealership, the service manager recommended burning a can of BG fuel system cleaner to clean the system. Shepherd Automotive offers BG products, so I went there. From my first meeting with Guy, I had him figured for an honest man, and Ive never had any reason to doubt my initial impression.Ive been taking all my vehicles there for routine maintenance and repairs, including several sets of new tires, for the last 10 years. Ive always beentreated very well. Ive referred a number of people I work with to Shepherd Automotive, and without fail, they share my conclusions.You will not find a better shop.
