They got my tire aired up for me quick fast and in a hurry. Couldnt ask for more it was right before close
I cant give these guys enough praise. Whenever I get the run around from a dealership, Richards Car Care has always been there to double check them for me. I have been going here for 17 years and I dont ever plan on going to a different shop. Thank you for the great service!!
Ive taken buses in and theyre pretty reasonable. The front desk was amazing and so were the people. Had I known that the freon was low, it would have been done that day where other places were the next week to get in.
Not the cheapest place in town but they are the best quality as far as I am concerned. They honor their work and take the time to give you a detailed explanation. They are a family owned business and treat you as if you are part of their family. It is nice to have a place I can send my daughters to without being afraid they will be taken advantage of. I highly recommend them.
Richards Car Care place did a fine job on my car. And I would love to do business again with them some day in the near future.
Crooks, no other way to express my experience.
I use Amsoil and they always have it in stock. Been taking my vehicles here for years. Great service
They rotated my tires for free with every oil change and have me a ride to work and back while my car was being serviced.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AT ALL. I walked in to try to get my tire changed because they were right down the street and I needed to get me and my niece off of the road and they didn’t even speak to me when I walked in and told me they could not help me because they were closing soon. Did not GREET ME, did not even check out my tire. I understand that you were closing soon, but right when I walk in you don’t speak to me, you look at the clock? Yeah, I will never come back to this place!!
If I could give negative stars, I would. I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner in my life.Consumer Warning: Be careful taking your vehicle to Richards Car Care.Story Time: My Subaru Forester has been hesitating on acceleration for about 6 weeks. We have changed the spark plugs, and that helped until yesterday. I was driving my car, and suddenly it wouldnt go past 2000rpm, and was struggling with even mild acceleration. So I took my car to Richards Car Care on May in OKC.They performed a diagnostic and determined that the spark plugs were bad again. They showed me cylinder #1s spark plug and how it was malfunctioning. Their estimate for replacement of 4 spark plugs and a fuel injection cleaner treatment was almost $900.I asked if my car was safe to drive home and have my husband replace the plugs. I was told that my car was safe, they gave me the appropriate part numbers to purchase, I paid the diagnostic fee and left.I buy the correct plugs, and Justin proceeds to change them out. I am attaching pictures of how the spark plug looked when he pulled it out of Cylinder 1. The threads of my cylinder head are attached to the threads of the spark plug.So this morning, I call a tow truck to move my vehicle from my garage, back to Richards Car Care, so they can do an investigation as to what happened. The service teach and guy at the counter were friendly and helpful. They brought the owner out to talk to me. The owner spoke down to me from the beginning, telling me they didnt do anything wrong, and What did I expect them to do? I told them that I wanted my car looked at to determine what it would take to make it driveable again, and he said We dont work on vehicles if they have been worked on at home, thats our policy.Im not putting fault on anyone, I just want my car to be drivable again.
Made the mistake of not reading reviews first and just as most people say, they over price services and take forever to do what they were supposed to. Also suggested to change tires ($250 each) without asking and at the end they didnt even did the balance which was what we came for in the first place.LOOK FOR BETTER AND CHEAPER PLACES!
My significant other took with my car (a VW) and she was told that VW has an special oil that cost more.. anyway an oil change was gonna cost 130? For a 4v? When i took the SAME car last time the price was around 60. Very weird. No to mention that when i took the car to a more trusted place; they found that the o-ring that goes in the oil filter did not fit the filter and i had a oil leak thanks to that. Better place to take your car is precision tune on 33rd and broadway.
Great people and great customer service
Really fast service and saved $50 with their online coupon.
Aa great place to get your car repaired good work great people to work with
They were very helpful, friendly and fast
The vehicle I took here is a vehicle I rarely drive. After the vehicle hit a curb, they quoted me 1900 dollars worth of work. I went with it and the vehicle didn’t drive well after, but I rarely drove it and didn’t take it in until about a year later. When I went back to discuss the issues, they somehow came up with 5000 worth of problems. They rotated the tires and it still drove horribly. I went to Christian Brothers and the vehicle drives much smoother and they didn’t try to push me to spend money. I will never conduct business with these people again and will do my best to keep everyone away from them.
These guys have taken excellent care of my last 2 vehicles. I would have trouble trusting my Jeep to anyone but these folks.
I usually do not write reviews but usually read them in order to get an idea of a business and how they operate. I felt the need to share my recent trip to Richards Car Care and possibly help save someone elses time and money. I went in on Saturday 6/2/2019 for an A/C problem due to our vehicle blowing only hot air. We left the vehicle over the weekend to have it diagnosed and was contacted by the owner Brian Richards on Monday 6/3 to say that there was extensive damage and refrigerant leaking. The shop will need to replace multiple parts and do a lot of repairs. Having a mechanical background myself, the estimate of $2500 did not sit too well and I paid the diagnostic fee and left to get a second opinion from another shop close to Broadway Extension. After giving the second shop the original estimate and their mechanics verified that all parts DID NOT need to be replaced and was still operational. The second shop DID NOT charge me a diagnostic fee and said that they did not find any evidence that a dye was used in order to find any types of leaks. They recharged the system and I paid $153.00. The second shop said that if the leak returns in the future to just bring it back and they will look at it again for FREE and that replacing parts when they are still functional would be a waste of my money. I would like to say that I understand that every business is in it to make a profit but to write bogus estimates to pad your pocketbook is unethical and downright immoral to our community. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for an honest mechanic and save your hard earned dollars for something important like your family!
I went to Richards Car Care to purchase Amsoil products I needed. They have a good display with popular products and have more products available at the shop. Just ask them what you are looking for.
Try to over sale on stuff you really dont need.
Seems a bit slow and pricy, but no complaints otherwise.
We suggested this company to our customer and he was very happy with the service he received.
This place is great! I take care of a 3-yr old and a 1-yr old. They came and got my car so I wouldnt have to hang out with the kids in the shop. They brought my car back to me ready to go. Everyone was so courteous and professsional. Will definitely use them again!
Highly recommend for when you want it done right, and done once. You may pay a bit more than the small shop, but you can trust them.
It has been my experience that you will find this place to be squeaky clean, absolutely spotless, you will be greeted promptly and professionally, your information will be entered into the latest technologies. And then unnecessary work will be recommended and you will be way overcharged for it. They got me once; I will never let it happen again. My advice to friends would be to look elsewhere for auto service.
Quote for services were very high compared to several other businesses. But friendly and courteous staff.
Richards Car care is a friendly family owned business who has caring staff for their customers I trust the work they fixed my bmw 535i up really nicely they even offer you a ride home if your car is going to be while and also offer to pick you up if you have no transportation to get there glad I took my vehicle here.
Great service! I took my car in before a trip to make sure my tire didnt have a leak. They were very polite on the phone and got me right in. They went above and beyond to provide excellent service. I will definitely be returning for any other car maintenance.
Beyond Roofing/Anthony Morris:Operation Manager would like to THANK all the guys at Richards from the front counter to the shop, everyone was helpful and polite. I took my F-450 2008 Ford in for tires, fast and quick, I thought I was going to get a quick nap in, not with these guys theyre too fast. The Facility CLEAN inside and out.My Girlfriend works at Francis Tuttle: Referred me to you guys, You guys fix a tire with a slow leak for her and save the day. Once again Thank You, and anyone who reads this take your Truck or car to Richards, honest people.Have a great day.
Don’t even think about coming here. Quoted me 3,000 to fix a misfire when all my truck needed was spark plugs.
I trust this garage, and they do good work. I cant speak too intelligently on car care, but Ive never had a problem with the service here. The staff is nice, and its easy to get in, and out with an appointment.
Little overpriced and slow on a simple oil change with no status update. But friendly staff that accomplished the job asked.
Very impressed by the professionalism of this family, Im new to the Oklahoma City area and will be taking my vehicle here for serviceI get to see the behind the scenes of many service centers, and to see how folks run their business, its truly heartwarming and I can recommend it just based off of what Ive seen first hand.I would recommend Richards car care to anyone for all vehicle needs.
Went in for a tire and an alignment. Was quoted over $1100.00 for front end work and told it couldnt be aligned. Got a second quote for half that elsewhere. Talked to a mechanic I know who sent me to Kwick Kar, where they charged me $65 for an alignment.I asked about worn or damaged control arms and was told everything was within tolerances, and was a good to go.Richards took two hours to give an estimate for $1100... i was out the door, fully aligned, in 45 minutes.Total con job!
Expensive
Met with David. Needed oil change and new tires. Price for tires as good as Internet searches. Has the car in and out in couple hours. Pleasant experience, great group of guys. Highly recommend!
I have been taking my two Mitsubishis to Richards for ten years for tires and all things mechanical since there is no mitsu dealer near edmond.five stars absolutely! The waiting room and mens rest room are very clean.jeff ilich (senior air traffic control analyst).
Dont go here. They price gouge, take forever to look at your car, wont guarantee their work, and left us with a dead battery (which was bought new less than a year ago and had nothing to do with the issue we brought it in for). After pointing this out their exact response Well...ya know...batteries die...
One of the most professional and good communication car place I have ever been to. I had an alignment question on a non-standard car and they answered all my questions and got me in. Good on the phone, even better in person.
$130 for an oil change that walmart does for $30. Need I say more?
I work on my own cars for the most part and I know what I am doing. Let my dad borrow a vehicle for a little bit of time and told him to go get the oil changed. He went here where they changed the oil and even though he didnt ask, they brought him an estimate for an additional $2100 worth of stuff that needed to be done. Said that it was maintenance stuff that since they hadnt had the car they couldnt verify had been properly done. The car has 70,000 miles. I got to see the estimate and what they were trying to sell him made me laugh. For sure after your money. Needless to say hes not allowed to take my vehicles here again and he wont be going back either.
Probably the WORST I have seen in trying to take advantage of an elderly lady. They wanted to do so many things to my moms car that it did not need. More than $4,000 in repairs was in their estimate. We stopped mom, took it to a long time Ford mechanic and the bill was $700.The car only needed a few things done and they missed a very critical piece that would have cost even more. The car is fixed now and my mom has not spent all of her cash at such a low life place.Never again will she darken their doors. Ever.
They always give me great service since 2008!!!
Very clean and professional and they will never try to sell you anything that you do not need. Highly Highly Recommend!
Horrible
Would recommend you get a second opinion before you have them work on your car.
Courteous, friendly, and very helpful. Would recommend Richards Car Care and give a 5 star rating
Awesome environment good an freindlt staff jus like anyone u pay for good service
Went to have four tires installed on my car,the tech damaged my car when he put it on the hoist,I am now waiting until Monday to see what they are going to do about the damage.
Be warned this place will rip you off and tell you you need things you dont. If they tell you something is wrong, get a second opinion.
Great work. The prices are a little steep but they stand behind their work. Overall worth it.
Very good place. Customer service is excellent!
Only been once but they seemed genuine in caring about taking care of my car.
Horrible customer service. They make you believe that theyre doing you a service when really, they arent doing anything good for you at all. Sticklers
Most timely and friendly service! Blown away.
They take great care of our shred trucks.
Bad customer service. Walked in to ask a simple question and was treated like a retard..
3 hours for an oil change. Before I came I called ahead and was told they could work on it right away.
I spent $1600+ for some work done to find out they dont want to cover their warranty for an alignment. Go to Hibdons, where they have ACTUAL warranties. Will not be back.
Like everyone else is saying...dont go here. They will try to do SO MUCH unnecessary work it isnt funny! I just took my keys, paid the diagnostic fees, and left. Got it repaired for half as much elsewhere. Though, when you think about it...they are sitting on a multi-million dollar piece of property...theyve got to pay those bills somehow...
Dont go unless you have ample time to waste. Not the fastest game in town... An hour and a half for an oil change and a tire rotation. Hourly employees for sure...
Great & trustworthy team!
Knowledgeable service fair prices
Very friendly and professional not time consuming either
They fix cars right the first time
Terrible customer services. Customers shouldn’t be charged when they are going in for an estimate.
Great service!
Had a bad experience. Will not go back.
Shout out to Richards car care. My wife’s car broke down last night and I had it towed to their shop. They had everything done by the next day! Thank you for taking care us!
What a rip off
Spectacular oil change, timely, and schedule
Clean, fast, friendly
