I highly recommend this business. We had just bought a used car, and two days later we heard a rattling sound. No shop would see us to quickly look at the car. We assumed it was the transmission and found ATEC online. Robin was incredibly professional and helpful and agreed to squeeze us in the next morning. They looked at the car, and while we were fully expecting to need a new transmission, it was just a loose bracket. They fixed this bracket at no cost to us. They are so helpful and honest, and we had a great experience. I would give them more stars if I could.

Highly recommend this business. Very professional and honest owner. We were traveling from KS to CO and noticed a sound we thought was a transmission problem. We called and requested an appointment to run a diagnostic before we traveled home to KS. We were accommodated without an appointment on a Saturday morning! I have to say that this shop is not only professional but also comprehensive, fair, and very friendly. ATEC was recommended to me by a trusted mechanic that I regularly use and they did not disappoint. Took in my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 48RE. They knew exactly what I had, what the most likely problems were, and rebuilt it to the strongest possible for towing. Great price, great service, great people. Recieved all old parts and a thorough explanation of what had happened, why, and an education from the owner what to not do in the future. Excellent and long-lasting rebuild on my 2000 BMW 528i sedan. I had my transmission rebuilt about 4 years ago has not given me 1 oz of trouble since and the rebuild was reasonably affordable, timely completion, good communication, extremely happy with the outcome and longevity of the work done.

Excellent customer service, Robin was awesome in being polite,v nice and professional. my truck took less time than I thought it would. And they also saved me money on the work they did even doing a few things for free. Both of gentlemen of the shock came in to the front area show me pictures of my drive shaft and my transfer case. They explained everything that was going on, what happened and what they had to replace. that made me feel right at home and very comfortable about the work they did. I couldnt be more satisfied with their services. I would recommend anybody to the shop oh, and I will be definitely going back for any services and bringing my family there as well.

I had to have an Odyssey transmission rebuilt. It’s a costly and major repair that my wife and I dreaded. I googled, called 4 shops and stopped by 3 in the greater Denver area and eventually selected Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp. in Northglenn. I believe most other shops do a fine job as well. But ATEC stood out and the impression I got made my decision to choose ATEC over the others a no-brainer. From the beginning to the end of the process of the rebuild my belief that I chose the right shop was reinforced. I’d recommend ATEC for transmission work to anybody who has such a need. More specifics:Pluses:* I started feeling comfortable working with the owner Don immediately after my first call with him. I feel he is honest, upfront about the process and good at communicating and setting my expectation. Meeting him face to face gave me the impression that he’s more an engineer, than a business man. He also gave me a tour of the shop which was very helpful. We even talked about the negative reviews online and I think Don was honest about them as well. There was a hiccup when the work was almost done - a leak in the 1st gear which took a couple more days to fix. Don did a good job communicating the setback clearly and honestly.* The price range Don gave me on the phone was more attractive than the other two shops I checked out. The final price was within the quoted range even after an additional mount was replaced.* ATEC offers a 3-y warranty which is the best among the shops I called. Don and I talked about the details of what’s covered and what’s not. I feel the warranty is fair and good to have. I sense Don is serious about helping his customers through the warranty. I feel strongly that they’ll honor the warranty and in the unlikely event that the transmission fails again within 3 years (even though I hope it would last another 100k miles w/o issues) they will cover all the cost for labor and parts. But more importantly it gives me the confidence that they’ll stand by their work, and they’ll do quality work from the beginning.* Jerry worked on my transmission. He showed me the the laid out parts after it was opened up, and explained to me how the transmission works and what would need to be replaced. Bill helped with the repair as well and showed me a cracked mount to be replaced. Being able to see the damaged parts and the inside of the transmission with my own eyes, and meeting and talking to the guys who actual does the work and hearing from them about the specific was very helpful in building up confidence and trust. I feel both Jerry and Bill are honest and trustworthy people and know what they are doing.* I like the two-week later checkup as a good idea in building up confidence and trust, and proof that ATEC is serious about the warranty as well.Minuses:* The time it took to complete the transmission rebuild was just shy of 2 weeks which was longer than my initial expectation of 1 week although this was due to mostly a storm caused power outage, and a glitch. I wasn’t in a rush and this was understandable.I give them 5 stars.Below picture is my transmission.

My transmission was repaired/rebuilt by AutoTrans a few years ago. I had a problem shifting so it took it bin, AutoTrans replaced the shifter cable - the transmission itself was fine. The transmission has 145,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt with zero problems.Highly recommend AutoTrans Engineering

From the first call I made it was obvious this company was professional in their communication. Upon arriving I was greeted well and my vehicle was looked at right away. I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though I had high mileage on my vehicle the mechanic explained to me that following his test drive there seemed to be no need to do any service work on the transmission. The explanation was clear and technically made sense. This obviously saved me money and time. I can only imagine what other unscrupulous repair service centers might have charged me to do work that would apparently not have been needed. I would recommend this company to anyone with transmission questions or issues in their vehicles!

I had a transmission go out... on a Sunday. With no where open I had it towed into a dealership. After calling around for quotes the following day, I ended up here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even towed my vehicle to their shop from the dealership, at no charge! They did a great job, at a fair price, and they have a good warranty as well.

Back in March 2017, I was heading to work and my car was puttin’ past Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp and all I was thinking was “Please car, get me to work.” I made it to work and called several transmission companies getting quotes on automatic transmission re-builds for a 2004 Honda Accord. The best quote and warranty I got was with Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp. They were even willing to tow my car over to their shop from my work if my car wouldn’t have made the drive there. They had my car for about a week and did a complete transmission re-build. Don, the owner explained everything to my husband and I on how the transmissions are built and why they can offer a three year unlimited warranty on their product. These guys are very confident in their work that they will do a fantastic job!Just about a month ago, I put 30,000 miles on this new transmission. They recommended at 30K to have a transmission flush done. I did this just this past week Jan. 2019. Don was thrilled to have seen my car come back to them to have service done and so they could review their own work. He told me my car looks great and with 240,000 miles on it, there is nothing wrong with my car looks and runs great!I would recommend this shop over and over to anyone who needs work done on their transmission. They are very friendly, guarantee their work and are very knowledgeable. For as long as I own this car, (or any other car) and I’m sure I can add another 250K miles to it, I will continue to take it back to Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp for its maintenance. About 2 years ago my car broke down and it was obviously the transmission. I talked with Don the owner of the shop and i was impressed by them and chose to rebuild my transmission which they recomended. I had a few issues on how long it took but im not going to go there in detail. At the time Dons shop policy was a three-year unlimited mile warranty for all rebuilt Transmissions from his shop about one and a half years after the rebuild my transmission fails again at 24000 miles before the first servicing at 30,000 miles so I took the car back to Dawn so that he would honor the warranty. long story short they wanted me to commit to paying for all the hardware that was broken inside of the transmission and they would cover the cost of Labor but whenever I brought up the warranty I was treated as if the failure of the transmission was my fault and I somehow failed to bring it to his attention. the day that I picked the car up I put it into reverse to back out of their parking lot and its slammed into gear so I went back in and I brought it to their attention and I was told to give it some time to break in. Im not a transmission expert but one thing that I do know is that Transmissions can be extremely costly and when you open one up and take it apart you are committing to spending some money but when they were trying to get me to commit to paying for the mechanical parts Don told me quote it could possibly only cost you $30 from that moment on I knew I was being scammed I have been taking small claims classes preparing for court and my family lawyer says I have a very good case so Dawn if youre thinking about replying to this just remember if you give me my money back I will go away. I will also delete this review and Im very glad I didnt give you a good Google review when my car was still running even though you harassed me about it every time we talked which is completely against Google policies. If anyone has questions i have texts, voice recordings,bills, and phone records id be glad to show them to you.

I would recommend this transmission shop to anyone as the owners are transparent, knowledgeable and professional people. Another reason to recommend this shop is it is a local business that has been in business for quite awhile. I had to have my transmission rebuilt, and rather than getting a used or re-manufactured unit not knowing if it was a good unit or rebuilt correctly. I chose to have a seasoned builder rebuild my transmission knowing that they stand behind their product and service!!!

I really cannot say enough about this company and the people that work here. I took my 2005 Volvo S40 in with a bad slave cylinder and it ended up being about double the work I thought I needed due to internal damage. They worked with on every level to get my car back in running order and put it back together in better than new condition. After building several project vehicles myself and going through several transmissions, I can say that this is the best transmission shop I have ever worked with and would gladly bring any vehicle to them! They operate a clean facility and always keep clear communication which is something that is not found often in the automotive industry.

I HIGHLY recommend everyone taking their car here! Dawn is simply so honestly and really cares about you and your car! He helped me out a ton!! I couldnt be more appreciative. He did amazing work on my BMW and went above my expectations and wanted me to take my car home knowing that I didnt have any complications. This place is absolutely awesome, they have worked on my jeep countless times for many different things. DO NOT COME HERE!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Wasted over 2 grand here on a transmission rebuild that took two tries and the end product was a broken transmission that, in their words “went kaput”. You rebuilt the thing! And anyway, I thought it was under warranty!? I paid for both rebuilds and was not reimbursed for either. SO DO NOT TRUST THE WARRANTY OR DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!I

I wanted to start by saying thank you to Don for helping me through a long process. A few months back I had brought my car to Big O Tires to get the spark plugs done and transmission flush. Long story short, the mechanic didn’t realize my car was a CVT and messed up my transmission. A few days later, I had realized my transmission was acting up, so I had called Don to ask for advice. I explained to him what had happened and he offered to do a diagnostic on my car to see what was going on. He was able to verify that my transmission was bad and based it on what had happened at Big O. Although he did not service my car, he was able to provide information to big o tires to help me get my car fixed. And 3 months later, my car is being fixed. I wanted to tank him for his help in all of this and to anyone who needs a reliable mechanic, he is the one! He knows his stuff and I would definitely trust him and his workers to service my car! 0 Stars if it was an optionHad my vehicle for 3 weeks never called me once told them my car didnt start and they told me that it wouldnt run right to test drive it absolutely incapable of taking a battery out and charging it to drive my truck drove to the shop started it and got it out of there as quick as I could before they tried to charge me any money for doing absolutely nothing. Could not even charge a battery how are they going to fix anything? Absolutely disgusting excuse for why they couldnt work on my car for 3 weeks, its funny I just drove it away something they were incapable of doing was jumping a battery, and this is a transmission shop that says theyre incapable of towing a vehicle and who is going to pay for it obviously me the customer and there is nothing wrong with my transmission I wanted a full rebuild for a restore there could be nothing wrong with it I just asked you to look at it

These guys are amazing Don Bill & Jess I cant thank them enough they did a transmission rebuild on my 2011 ford fusion & The same day I got my car back one of the sensors in the transmission went out which was not there fault cause it was not a part they were suppose to replace when they did the rebuild this sensor caused my transmission to overheat & my car broke down on me I got it back to there shop that night & they got to work on it immediately trying to diagnose the issue they took my entire transmission back apart & ended up replacing 3 parts in the transmission free of charge parts & labor it took them a week to get my car running again but I havent had any problems since . The transmission is shifting just as good as it was when I got the car new & Don & Bill even worked with me on a payment plan I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who needs work done on there transmission they are truly the best at what they do.

I will never take my vehicle back here and I would never recommend anyone to get their vehicle repaired at this shop. If I could give this repair shop 0 stars I definitely would.1. The owner Don told us he would have our vehicle ready 5 days from the day we dropped it off. Our vehicle was not ready until 10 days after we dropped it off. Throughout the whole time our vehicle was in his shop for repairs we had a very difficult time reaching contact with Don. Each day after the 5th day when we were able to reach contact with Don, he made promises that our vehicle would be ready the following day, and of course it was not.2. Don informed us that the repairs to our vehicle took so long because once they got the transmission apart their were many other things that they had to fix and he wanted to take his time to make sure it was done right.However, he did not fix our vehicle properly because a month later the seal on the transmission started leaking. Yes we are still with in the warranty from the repairs Dons shop did, but we do not trust his repairs and dont want his shop ever touching our vehicle again. So we have taken our vehicle to someone else that will repair our vehicle the correct way.3. Don bragged about how he has 5 stars in the reviews from previous customers. Don and his office clerk were very consistent and aggressively telling us several times to go online and give them a 5 star review.

I reached out to Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp after having a less than satisfactory experience at a Ford dealership. I originally came in because my F- 250 lost reverse and was in limp mode. As it turns out, the Ford dealership failed to mention a few key problems with my exhaust. The staff here was extremely helpful and informative. They not only found the dire issues that Ford missed, they made sure I could afford it. They were in contact with the dealership, and made sure I was aware of all the work that they were doing, how much it would cost, and when it would be done. They even went as far as to come in on a Sunday so I could have my vehicle before Monday. In conclusion, I highly recommend them to anyone needing honest and fast service, coupled with an owner devoted to his customers and community. I was more than satisfied with the overall experience, so much so that I cant imagine going anywhere else.

Took my 96 GMC off road truck in as reverse gear was going out on clutch. Turns out there were also issues with the transmission and drive shaft. I got a peek at my transmission and clutch taken apart. It was in bad shape. I was explained in detail what issues there were and how they will be fixed. This shop has highly skilled mechanics and great customer service. Truck shifts and drives like new now.

I had a transmission cooler line that was leaking transmission fluid pretty quickly. In order to avoid transmission damage, I had my vehicle towed to this facility. They fixed the hose for no charge! They have definitely earned my business. Thanks!

They took my sons money and never fixed his car. They had to tow it out of the shop after 4 months of trying to fix it. My son drove his car to the shop 4 months ago and got it towed out about a week ago. They gave him $400 back.Owner doesnt care one bit. he said his mechanics do side jobs and uses the reviews to get customers. We will be going about the legal process to try and see if we can get the rest of my sons money back.

I have one of those stories where I was broke down in the middle of the street and didnt know what to do. My 05 BMW just quit moving. I called Phil and he had a tow truck to me within 20 minutes. After looking at my car he found that I had a broken axle. 1 hour later I was back on the road again. I was at the mercy of A.T.E.C and they didnt try to take advantage of me. Tranny on a 1995 jeep grand cherokee went out on me. Don looked through it and got back to me asap. As a student i was worried about my main ride being down for school transportation. Don found the parts and had it done asap for me. This shop has amazing employees and because i dont know much about transmissions they showed me exactly what was wrong and how they were planning on fixing it. They are very straight forward and honest about the work. They work with your time and communicate with you about your vehicle. I will always recommend this place to friends and family. With any vehicle issue i will always return to this place.

Paul went above and beyond to help me get my car fixed. I had just bought an Acura TL and the transmission went out. I found someone on CL who did a terrible job, Paul cleaned up his mistakes and rebuilt the tranny for a good price. A few weeks ago an expensive electrical part needed replaced and he was very honest with me, gave me a good deal because of all I had gone through with this car, and I am happy to report it is running great now. I was a customer that showed up with no appointment in dire need of a transmission along with many other small issues. I was welcomed into the shop and we discussed all the fixes along with timelines and costs associated. While they were completing the work, they made recommendations on items that may become an issue and let me know they are functioning now but may need attention here shortly. Hello, my name is Julian i had taken my Dodge Challenger to the shop because my transmission all of a sudden went out. Long story short i had already been dealing with their neighbor Jackson Automotive who did some extensive work with their fellow shop All Pro Machine & Fab. Those two shops did a large amount of damage to my car, Don and Bill did a tear down of my transmission they found out it was not a faulty transmission, all the damage was caused by those shops lack of knowledge and care for my vehicle. Don and his team were there for me through a long 4 moth process with one shops insurance company. These guys are truly a blessing because i needed someones help, knowledge, and honestly to help me get the repairs that i should have got with those two horrible shops almost two years ago. Executive summary: Just take your car here, and call it done.ATEC worked on our New Beetle, with what we thought at first might be a low or old fluid problem. It turned out to be FAR worse than that. Rodents had eaten the wiring and caused all kinds of issues.Don and his staff stood by their estimate and went FAR FAR beyond what I could have expected. Its a long story, but I hope you will take my word for it that this is THE place you want to bring your car.As I told Don, this is like a relationship with a doctor, I hope we will not need any more transmission repairs, but if we do, this is where we will go.On the spectrum of auto/transmission shops I have dealt with over the last 50 years, ATEC is on top of the list by a long way. First of all, I like to say thanks to Accurate Automotive up the street from ATEC for referring me to Don and the guys at ATEC. It always helps when someone you trust has someone they trust. ATEC not only rebuilt my transmission on my 2007 F-150 but also helped out with other problems that were going to be an issue in the future. The turn around time was excellent, 9 days total from drop off to pick up. I believe they even worked on Superbowl Sunday on my truck.The professionalism,excellent tradesmanship and great customer service is something of the past in alot of businesss today, so it was refreshing to be helped by qualified and professional people who did not act like the money I spent there was their god givin right but their honor to have helped me. I dont take the time to review a lot of things but ATEC is worth my time to do so. I find the reviews on here very strange because the two recent 1-star reviews are opposite of my experience which would fall in the same timeline as theirs.I first brought my SUV to Firestone and they recommended ATEC to me. I was in a bind so I went and dropped off my on a Saturday. Within a week, Don and his crew had my vehicle back up and running (they rebuilt my valve body) within a week. Don came in under his quote and was very easy to get ahold of (he gave me his cell phone in case I had any questions).There is a reason ATEC is busy. Thats because they know what they are doing, they do good work, cost effective and they stand behind their work (they wouldnt offer their warranty if they didnt).I typically have my friend do all of my vehicle maintenance and work but I have all the confidence in the world to bring my vehicles back to ATEC in the future.

I had my jeep repaired here. I had a new clutch and a rebuilt transmission. And a SYE installed.Don is great at convincing you he will get the job done. Its just no good to run a business when youre in over your head.My jeep stopped shifting correctly so I brought it to ATEC. I talked to Don and he was extremely confident he could get me back on the road at the beginning of the week. Tuesdays rolls around and I call them. Jess the new girl at the front desk is super friendly just not properly trained.I was able to talk to don and he told me he wanted to install SYE on the jeep. Totally understandable and I wanted it. He wanted to order it and said it would be a week. I called on Saturday and asked the progress. No SYE in shop. I took an Uber 40 min there and 40 to his shop and bought a $300 SYE because he said that would speed up the process and would be ready at the begining of the next week. I called and left a message Monday no return. I called Tuesday and got a hold of Don for a short phone call. He was to check the progress of my jeep and call me back. No call... Finally the next day I called again and got a hold of him. I told him that he had too much on his plate and wasnt punctual on getting my vehicle repaired.He later called me back and offered a vehicle for me to drive. After two weeks of not having my jeep I had figured out transportation and didnt want his car.$3000 later I take it to another shop because my shifter boot wasnt assembled and Don wanted to shorten my driveshaft he also had the pinion angle wrong. It would have destroyed itself to with a month set up like that. With a. 4 lift any flex on the trail would run the risk of pulling the shaft out of the housing. Not smart. Also the seal on the SYE wants properly assembled because now I have a leak and took it back to the 2nd shop. No jeep again.Broken promises and extremely unprofessional unfinished work results in a very unhappy customer. I would advise looking somewhere else. Don claims hes known in the automotive industry, maybe he is, but he doesnt know a jeep from a mustang.

Took it a while to see if they could repair it and call me saying I needed a whole new rebuilt transmission was not true they didn’t even give a written estimate they gave me my keys and said take care it’s happened just to be a solenoid pack not a rebuilt transmission I would not recommend them keep your money and go to a real reair shop
