Very disappointing experience. my friends and I walked in, no greeting from any employees. it was as if we weren’t even there. they employees constantly glared in our direction, when we were simply just browsing! other customers were approached by the employees, we weren’t. felt like we were constantly being JUDGED. the two employees at the front when we entered, simply stood there. like, okay…just don’t even bother to be polite and say hello to three teenage girls? none of us planned on buying anything, but still. just be kind & do your job! we all felt super uncomfortable. it was super awkward and just overall unenjoyable. guess I’ll be going to Sephora next time!

I was recently racially profiled by the Manager Jennifer. Every time I go Into this location I feel so uncomfortable shopping. It’s very insulting and don’t appreciate the treatment. Jennifer honey, treat every customer equal in your store. Don’t treat people like their a thief because of their skin color. Her attitude is very ungenuine and condescending. Instead of trying to help me she just treated me like a thief.
Ive been to this store a few times. Most recently I came in to find a foundation and spent a half hr wandering and testing, no one asked me if I needed help and when I found someone they told they only did samples for MAC and walked away. Im fairly new to makeup and wanted a second opinion on my color matching
Good selection, but the store associates apparently dont care too much for their customers. I came to the store at 11:30 on February 8th, 2019. I had coupons for a specific product. I am not familiar with that store, so I was hoping someone would be able to help me find what I wanted. There was only one other customer in the store, 5 associates were around, nobody cared. I finally caught an associate walking by with that other customer and asked her where I would find the product brand I was looking for. She was not very eager to help, pointed me in the direction and left. With the store absolutely not busy at that time, I had expected exceptional attention. And in general: None of the associates had a smile or nice word for me. I found a product, went the checkout, and even there, no smile, no question if I found everything I wanted, have a good day or anything. I am not going back. This kind of customer treatment is the reason (and the prices) why people prefer to shop in big box stores. At least there you do not expect any help.
I always have a great experiencing going to the North Olmsted ULTA. The staff is friendly, tentative, and helpful. Over the summer, a woman helped me figure out which self tanner would be the best for me. She went through each brand and her experience with them. It was so helpful. I didnt realize some of them had a green/Olive tint to it instead of the orange and she highly recommended the St Tropez mousse and gave me the best directions on how to apply it without it looking uneven. So helpful! Yesterday, I walked in for a brow and lip waxing treatment. Charlotte was phenomenal. She is a true professional and very informative. She made me feel comfortable and shaped my brows perfectly. Great experience!
Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Went in for a birthday gift for my mom, and even got a free gift with my purchase, who doesnt love free stuff, especially from the makeup store! Earned points with my card and found the exact products that I was looking for, will certainly be back!
I had a microdermabrasion and (non-invasive) lip plumping treatment a few weeks ago, and the results were amazing! I felts great days after, my makeup was going on more smooth, and my lips were nicely plumped. Shannon the skin specialist was super informative on the products I should use to help continue the results of my treatment and further diminish my blemishes. I highly recommend popping in and consulting with her for your skin concerns.
I dont actually care for beauty supply stores. I was ready to rate it 3 stars because of this, but I decided that wasnt fair. I felt that if I LIKED beauty supply stores, Id probably think this one was great. The place has a lot. A LARGE variety of brands & supplies. Its a large store, but doesnt feel warehousey. Its very trendy & chic.The employees were engaging but not pushy. They were helpful even on silly requests & questions I had on my meager purchase of hair ties & clips. As just mentioned, even I found something that I liked and was comfortable with buying. I dont know that Ill be back with my minimal beauty needs to buy hair bands & clips, but if you like eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, lotions, facial skin care, curling irons, and other beauty supplies, you might wanna stop in & see what theyve got. Theyre a really stellar store with great employees.
I love Sam! She executes my brows every damn time. She has a great personality. She is worth the drive and 28 bucks for brows and lip wax. I love Samantha if i could type it a million times I would.
Store is very clean and organized. Was not greeted by associates nor was offered help when showing the common signs of confusion. The team seemed to value their chat circle more than seem interested in helping.
I bought an order for curbside pick up and was given a used moisturizer that costed 30 dollars. The packaging was damaged and there was dried product all over the inside of the lid. When I called back immediatly I was told I couldnt get an exchange and would have to wait until the store opens fully

I love Ulta, but this location never again. The staff was rude, no one asked if they could help me with anything, when I did ask for help the girl rolled her eyes at me and said she would check to see if there was more product in the back, but she never came back. I left and went to a different Ulta.
Love this location! They have a lip plumping device (and the lady is so nice), and you will actually see results on your lips! It is non-invasive (so don’t have to worry about lip injections and looking horrible). It’s a must try!

Ive been to a few Ultas and have decided this one is never worth going back to. I was pretty much the only person in the store and not once did anyone ask if I needed assistance. After doing a few laps, I went to the counter to check out and asked where I could find the product I needed. I was then informed they dont even carry that line, so I was pretty peeved that I spent all that time waking around, with multiple products in hand for nothing.
Very clean and good selection, however the employees arent the friendliest. I walked in and there was a group of them right in the middle near the front and no one greeted me. As someone who worked retail for several years, I always greeted the customer when they walked it. I didnt hear a peep from anyone until I had to hunt someone down to tell me where something was.
Expensive and didnt have what I was looking for. Covid protocols in place.
Love this place, but I was so let down when the lady at the register told me they do not give gifts anymore after spending so much, I finally was able to have a need for products that would of added a total for one for the first time ever and then BOOM lol it stung a little but overall the store is neat and well kept

My husband and I came here today, I am actually appalled at the people who work there. They thought they were slick following us around the store. I was testing which lip gloss I would like to purchase, with the TESTERS that are there for a reason. Then I went back to grab a gel polish, I also wanted to see if I liked the color so I put a bit on my finger (I purchased the one I used) anyway. There was a man clearly loss prevention, who was “shopping” near us, and the cashier came all the way back to ask if I’m doing ok by the nail polish and literally stood by me for what felt Iike forever. I was super uncomfortable. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and was just looking for something to make me feel nice. Kind of have too much to lose to steal from a makeup store! Why in the hell would people treat loyal customers this way? It was ignorant and I will never go back to that store. Thank goodness we’re close to strongsville!

Worst experience ever. The stylist didnt color match my hair and went by the color that was in computer from 2 yrs ago. I have since colored it differently AND had it stripped. It of course didnt match. I asked her and she said it would be fine. I had to go elsewhere to have it fixed. Never again.

I live 29 miles away from this particular location, I called to see if they had the foundation I wanted in stock due to my paleness. The woman on the phone told me yes they have both of the lightest shades.I come into the store and went right to where I knew it was and they had the wrong tester and shade in the lightest shade and were out of stock. Im beyond pissed. While they did offer to order it online I came all the way out here just for this one item to purchase now. Not later. Very upset and mad about the wasted time and money to drive out here.
I have gone to ulta a few times in the past year and needless to say i won’t be returning anymore. Every time i call for a relaxer or cut the girl i was previously with for my last visit is no longer there. So in the last 3 visits, which had been 6-8 months between, i had 3 different girls... because their turn over is SO high and now i see why. Last October my relaxer didn’t hold because the girl “was afraid” to try a stronger one on my head because she had never dealt with my hair before. I had to go back 3 weeks later for her to fix it. My last time there they tried a “new” relaxer on me and basically put a very thick white material on my head and combed in through but at same time was also pulling my hair out. Not like ANY relaxer I’ve ever had. It ALSO didn’t hold. I contact ulta store and some girl named Jennifer calls me back the following day. I missed it so when i returned her call i got put on hold for 15 minutes!!! Then got hung up on. I call right back and they say “oh she actually just left” WHAT!? Mind you the first time i called i didn’t even say who i was. So i call corporate and the ulta credit card company because at this point i just want a refund. Jennifer ends up calling me back the following week telling me she’s going to contact corporate about the refund and get back to me. That was a week ago and now today i just get a refund check in the mail for the relaxer price. LMFAO. What kind of business do you people run??? I got nothing but the run around and a measly check without even a call back or an apology for services gone wrong. Won’t be stepping foot in this store again. I’ll find a reputable stylist i can DEPEND on will actually still be employed when i call and will do the relaxer CORRECTLY. 🙄🙄

Went there looking for hair glosser. There were many employees stocking around the store . I approached 2 talking and asked for help. Was told by one of them to look on the back wall. The place is huge! There is so much product there I had no idea where to look on the back wall! As I walked away to let them continue their personal conversation, the one yelled to me her favorite brand. Couldnt find any glosser and gave up and left. Not one of atleast 6 employees I passed as I walked out asked if they could help me. Went right next door to Sallys and was greeted as soon as I walked in and taken over to what I was looking for. They were busy doing inventory but stopped immediately to help me. Ended up buying shampoo, conditioner, and more! Will NEVER go to that Ultra again.
I went there last night and I stood in front of the IT cosmetics and benefit cosmetics for over 15 minutes because I had a list of things I needed but I needed a shade that was out. After waiting and waiting and no one around, I decided 15 minutes was long enough. There was no help in the cosmetics and I went to go to the front desk and when I went to ask for help she was so rude I set everything I had down and left the store. I plan on writing corporate. It was by far the worst customer service I have had in years upon years.

I love shopping here. One employee was very helpful (I wish I could remember her name, seemed middle aged). I was looking for an eyeliner to replace the (expensive) stila brand and she recommended NYX brand. I love it! The bronze shade is very similar to lionfish from stila. It goes on smooth and doesnt pull at my lashes. It was only about 5 bucks...great deal!

Awful customer service. The lady called me 10mins before my appointment to say that she was running late. When I asked specifically how late? she went into a ramble about how the person after me was due at a certain time and if she changed my appointment time that woundnt be fair to me. In hindsight I think she wanted me to say that I wont come but I didnt say that. I had already reached the mall by then, and told her so...also that I would like get my hair done today as I have a party in 2days. So she says ok come 15mins late and we shall fit you as your hair doesnt take long anyway (I have been there before).I spent my time browsing here and there andwhen I reached 15mins late another lady says well your appointment was at 6and you are here at 6:15 so we cant take you!! I was rather annoyed at that and went on to tell her that the stylist had herself called me and told me to come late. At this she tells me that I cant get my haircut anyway because stylist is running so late.I demanded as to why she didnt tell me this when she called me earlier... and the stylist totally changed the story and said that she informed me she couldnt take me and yet I INSISTED on coming. She never said shed be unable to take me; didnt even answer my question as to how late Then they said they will take me only if the next person agreed on canceling as we dont who overbooked this particular stylist. This issue of overbooking a stylist has happened with them in the past as well and the customer has to bear the consequences.I still dont understand how they decided on cancelling me rather than the person after me.Then she didnt want to cancel the next customer an cancelled me instead. But that is not the point.What an utter waste of three quarters of an hour!!1.They should have told me in the first phone call how late they were2. If she was going to cancel me she should have apologized and requested a cancellation in the first phone call.3. Their appointment scheduling system is in shambles- nobody seems to know who books, who changes and who overbooked!4. They show a bunch of attitude to a customer who might be late without any knowledge whatsoever that they themselves asked the customer to come later.Totally pissed. Will never go to Ulta again.
Let me just say, the only reason this review has 2 stars is due to the fact that Ulta has such a wide variety of makeup. I visit different locations frequently. The other day I stopped into this particular location for the sale they had adverised via email. Excited, I took time to look around the store, hoping to find a full coverage foundation. When I asked an employee if they carried the Cover FX brand, she rolled her eyes at me and said No, turning her head. For atleast 20 minutes I waited in the store, hoping to for an employee to point me in the right direction of which product to buy. No one ever approached me. Two employees were standing around, not doing much. As I turned to leave, frustrated, the manager was near the front door, patting down an employee, checking her pockets, and even had her open her wallet, going through it . She did this infront of a atleast 10 customers. The poor girl laughed, completely embarrassed. This is illegal. So, I asked her a question, pulling her away from the employee, hoping to save the poor girl from any further embarrassment, and finally get help. The manager did help with choosing a foundation, but chose one that they did not have all of the shades in stock. I chose a shade closest to my skin tone, and left as soon as possible.Women shopping for makeup hope to be greeted kindly, and helped. The service at this location is atrocious. I will make the extra drive to shop at a different location, or simply shop at Sephora!
