The staff was very helpful and attentive and even provided a loaner car while my vehicle was being serviced. They sent pictures and information pertaining to my state inspection which was very nice. I will definitely return for any other car repairs I need in the future. Miss Dale was very professional and Mr. Robert was informative at the time of pickup.
Took my car to get an inspection & was rejected due to one of the front corner headlights not being amber-colored enough and a brakepad worn below the allowable limit. $60 to change a lightbulb. ouch. but i was short on time and needed my car done pronto and i didnt want to be mean and waste the technicians time after he had appeared to have done such a thorough inspection.also went ahead and got my brake system replaced at their advice (lines, fluids, rotors, pads, the whole shebang) which, in hindsight, i didnt need as my brakes were working flawlessly. i was told my caliper was locked so that the brake was always slightly pressed against the rotor, which was a bit unbelievable as i was getting 39-40mpg avg and never had any issues whatsoever.they also told me i should replace my front cabin air filter, but didnt include any photos of it as they did with some of the other items, so i declined. i am a busy person, but just got around to looking at my cabin air filter the other day and it looked almost brand new. ugh. i HATE accusing people of being scammers because i am someone who believes most people are innately good, but this time I do feel cheated. I know COVID has been hard on a lot of businesses and I feel bad for them for having to resort to such tactics, but .... lesson learned.overall repair cost was around $1800 which is almost as much as i paid for my first used car (which lasted me 9 years)anyway, for the past 3 months ive had an annoying screeching sound any time i apply the brake, which has gotten extremely loud, so not only did I pay for something that I didnt need, I have problems i did not have before. should have just taken it to the checkered flag honda like i normally do. sigh.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because of the amount of detail the inspection report provides -- just wish itd have been more honest.Sincerely,Trevor Harris
Lets be honest folks, car repairs of any stripe are expensive these days. Either because due to the increasingly complex nature of vehicles these days or more often due to the lack of availability to extremely expensive and specialized equipment. Over the past 5 years Ive easily spent over $10,000 on various repairs on a couple of different vehicles. This shop has always been helpful, quick, and never made me feel like they were just out to sell me repairs and expensive parts that I didnt really need. Whats that old line about the first thing you find when you move to a new town is a good mechanic? Well this shop has always been very empathetic to what repairs cost, the hassle if you only have one vehicle and the fact that transportation is critical in the world we live in. Recently due to a conflicting work schedule made it so I could pick up my truck after they had finished working on it they gave me a loaner at no cost to me to make sure I had something to drive until I could get back and pick my truck up. Look, it stinks when stuff breaks down and its a huge pain and hassle at the best of times. I can say at this with this shop that theyll get your vehicle back to you as soon as is possible.
Every experience at Carmasters has been great. I have been going here for years, and they always do an excellent job for a great price.
Went in for a state inspection. Fail for rear brakes only the first time. I replaced the rear brakes no problem. Went over the 15 day reinspect and failed me for two more unrelated items after only 3 weeks. I do all my mechanical work to my vehicles and from my standpoint it p***** me off. How did they not catch those two items on the first inspection? The mechanic stumbled his words to explain it to me and did nothing to make sense of the situation. Told me that if I brought it back within the 15 days that they would only inspect the one item that failed. So how did they only find the brakes when two other items were failed later? Save your money and go somewhere else. Even Firestone isn’t as bad as a rip off!
I called and spoke with Robert on a Friday evening, and was able to get squeezed into a Saturday morning appointment. I appreciated the text messages with pictures, to give me additional information about what needed to be replaced and Robert checked in with me throughout the process. I didn’t feel rushed out and was offered an oil change as my mine was overdue even though it wasn’t my initial reason for visiting. Overall, I was pleased and may switch from my current maintenance provider.
I brought a vehicle in for a pre-purchase inspection. Rob was PHENOMENAL. He was friendly, helpful, thorough, clear, down-to-earth, and (most importantly) honest. I wish more businesses could share these same values! Well done, Carmasters.
Great and professional service! They constantly kept me updated and although had a lot of cars got to mine rather quickly. The manager was super honest about what needed or didnt need to be done. After fixing my car he thoroughly explained everything so competently and clearly!Thank you guys!
I called there around 12 noon to see if they could do a pre-purchase inspection. They were able to get me in the same day which a lot of others couldn’t do. They did a thorough job inspecting the vehicle complete with a car fax report and a detailed outline of each component and what they found to be wrong. They explained everything in detail and were very professional and you couldn’t beat that price! Very happy.
Went in for a brake inspection, left the same day with new brake rotors and pads. Thanks guys!
I had an inspection for a motorcycle conducted. They were accommodating after having a scheduling error. I got in quickly and out in a timely manner. They have late appt hours which is great!
I wasn’t going to leave a bad review, not something I ever do, but after getting 6 texts/emails asking me to, here we go. I brought my car in for a state inspection, I got a call saying that my car was done with the inspection, it failed for 3 bad brake hoses. I received a text afterwards saying it failed for 2 bad brake hoses. I said ok, I’ll come pick it up and take care of that and bring it back. When I arrived to pick my car up an hour or so later, it was still on a lift, and the tech was out test driving another car. I had to wait about 20 minutes before my car was off the lift, and the information was entered by the tech into the computer.Fast forward to me bringing the car back for a re-inspection. The lady at the desk asks me what it failed for, so I let her know that it failed for 2 bad brake hoses, but that I’d replaced all 4. She questions me, saying wasn’t it 3 bad brake hoses? I said no, the text said 2, and don’t you have that information on the computer? She said yes but I just didn’t look it up. Anyways, the car passes inspection now and I go pick it up, it’s actually ready this time, which is great.I get home and walk past the hood of my car, and notice that it’s not fully closed. I had driven all over the place the day before and would definitely have noticed if I left it unlatched. So I guess the tech didn’t fully close the hood after the inspection, which is not great.
This place has amazing customer service and very reasonable prices. They have rentals available but one was not available today so Bob gave me a ride to and from my destination while I waited for my car to get serviced. I really appreciated that. I live in Suffolk, VA and I come to this shop! ❤️
Ive come to this place a few times this year and theyve helped me out so much with my car. Great quality with the best service! Anyone looking for a reliable place to get their car fixed or checked should definitely give these guys a try!
Were willing to fit me in for a state inspection to a busy schedule due to multiple no shows. One of the few shops with longer hours that Ive seen. Instead of just replacing parts with a weak parking brake, the technician was willing to do the adjustment instead of first replacing parts. Its simple but I appreciate the effort in diagnosis & repair instead of defaulting to replacing parts first. The shop uses AutoVitals Customer Portal so its easy for you to see and get updates about work on your vehicle to your phone, with notes directly from the technician and service writer. I appreciate shops that lean into these systems as it helps with communication and means you dont have to wait around at the shop. That said they have a small, but decent waiting area with complimentary drinks and free wifi if you have to wait with your vehicle.Definitely would consider coming back for more work and re evaluate for a higher review. Without more work done I dont want to just say five stars over a simple inspection but so far so good.
This shop is great. They offer all kinds of automotive services, have rental cars if you need to use while having repairs done and everything they do comes with a 36 month 36,000 mile warranty. They clean and sanitize the customer lounge daily. I even received a detail inspection of my car with pictures sent directly to my phone so I could see everything they see and recommend. They keep my vehicle in excellent shape and maintained very well, saving me money in long run from costly repairs! Thanks!
They were very helpful and communicative. I had radius arm bushings replaced and an alignment on a 1990 Ford Bronco and they did great work!
Very pleased with the professionalism and value of this company. As someone new to the area, it was good to find a company I could trust with my state inspection.
The best service. Always honest and trustworthy.
I took my car in for an state inspection, and they cut my wire plug instead of disconnecting it(and removing cracked assembly). They wanted me to come back. And get an aftermarket. Im an aircraft mechanic in the navy, I thought I could just order one from Mitsubishi, but I couldnt put it back because the hardware wasnt there and the black shell was only attached by one of the 3 screws that hold the assembly. Name Elias Alvarado. The left is how is supposed to look the right is how it was after the inspection.
In addition to wheel alignment, the starter motor had to be replaced because sometimes the car wouldn’t start. The battery was brand new so we knew that wasn’t the problem. Turned out it was the starter motor (an OG in a 2004 car)! So far it certainly feels better to drive, but it cost 650 to replace. And we had the headlights “defogged.” In the past, I’ve used those DIY kits but they just don’t compare. Car Master made the headlites look brand new! So definitely worth the cost. The diagnostic was a bit pricy at around $260, but for that price we got a nice list of all that needed to be done so in the end it wasn’t that pricy. They gave military discount and if paid in cash there was no credit card fee. Many things listed to do (like light bulb & air filter replacements) were super easy to do ourselves & were quite pricey. These took seconds to do but their labor cost was $40-60 each. These things they shouldn’t charge this much- I think these should be done for free just pay the part price.Overall they did a great job & we’ll return but for major issues.
Ive been using them for the last 4yrs. The owner is very nice the staff understand that the customer needs thier car back asap. Good pricing offers military discount
I had went to a mechanic out of state that had severely messed up my car. I’m so thankful that I brought it to Carmasters for them to fix the mistakes the other mechanic had made. They repaired my ABS, replaced a bearing, put on back brake shoes, did a state inspection, and replaced my front brakes. They completed all of this within a day and returned my car to me good as new. They also gave me a student discount. Super thankful and will definitely be returning to them for future repairs and maintenance:)
It was vert fun, my son loved the ball pit!
Needed a state inspection and it was ready same day. Absolutely would use them again and recommend them.
The only place I trust with my car!!! They always are up front and give you the best advice without trying to take all your money like the competitors. Very happy with my service here, will not go anywhere else
My vehicle has been serviced many times at this center and each time their service was great. This last visit consisted of an alternator replacement. Not only did they complete the job in a timely manner but they were also helpful and professional at the service counter. At the service counter they were extremely knowledgeable answering questions I had about my vehicle maintenance. I would definitely come back and recommend their service to anyone.
5 stars for the quality work & great customer service at Carmasters. They kept me informed of the progress on several repairs that my old 97 Jeep Cherokee desperately needed while in their shop. All of the mechanics here are professional & certified + all parts/labor come with a 36 month/36000 mile warranty. Best place in Norfolk to take your vehicle for an honest & thorough diagnosis to get your car back on the road. Thanks guys!!
Great experience from this shop! My 2010 Ford Explorer needed a new starter and they fixed the issue with a fair price and also offered a military discount on the labor cost. They were able to drive me back and forth to the shop after my vehicle was towed there and I am extremely satisfied with the service. I highly recommend this shop!! I will recommend to all my friends in and outside the military!!!
I called CarMasters this past Saturday, for an oil change and state inspection. Mind you, I was a walk-in and Chris, Rob and the entire team were able to fit me in an already busy schedule. I found out through the inspection that I needed 3 new tires, as well as few more things done. Plus the text/online updates were awesome! I dropped my car off by 11:45 am my car was ready 5 hours later the same day with brand new tires and all of the necessary maintenance! A+ work!!
I think this shop is a good quality shop but, recently, I wasn’t thrilled to shell out over $700 for nothing more than some diagnostics to figure out what’s up with the steering and the fuel odor, two separate issues. I declined the repairs, opting to do the repairs myself. Following the recommendations on the diagnostic sheet, after doing one repair and how the issue persisted, I contacted the advisor who oversaw the work on my car for some advice but never got a response. I feel I should at least be able to ask some questions to get some help to figure out the problems after paying them $700.
You can set appointments online with this shop. I feel they have done good work on my vehicle so far and have showed professional. This shop gives you progress updates of your vehicle through email and messaging in direct detail. They also do vehicle inspections here with a fee. It has a good atmosphere here.
Fast repairs and very good advice ! I recommend!
Super fast clean work! I just moved here from another state and they had everything I needed in stock and even reset the cars computer without charging for the time, I’ll definitely be using them for all my future services as long as I’m here!
I’ve brought my car here before and they’ve never done me wrong and have gone above and beyond to make sure I was driving a safe car.
Do not trust these people, they tamper with your car while doing safety inspections. I strongly advise for you to go elsewhere.
I took my car in for a state inspection today and asked if they could look under the hood to investigate a mysterious squealing noise and loss of power that seems to happen only when it rains.I had already taken it to a different shop and had been told that nothing could be found wrong with it, and was legitimately afraid to drive my car.I was afraid that I would be told again that nothing was found. But thanks to the knowledgeable staff and excellent mechanics that work there the issue was found and repaired. There was also an issue of the power steering fluid being dirty and I was unaware of it despite having taken my car to other shops, the other shops never mentioned it.I was treated very respectfully and none of the repairs were forced on me. They called before doing any work and I was told the price beforehand.I was especially happy and extremely thankful for the exceptional service I received today because my little sister is learning to drive and will be driving my car, I now feel 100% confident that she will be safe in it.These guys are great I will be using them again I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARMASTERS.
Got my 98 Ford Explorer in & out very quickly for a state Inspection. Thanks to Jim Bennett, Danny Hot Wheels & rest of the staff. YOU ROCK!!!!
I was definitely disappointed this time a car masters I have been in car masters a few months ago to do some service on my jeep and the gentleman that was there who took care of me his name was Chris he said he was going to order me my wheel cover for my jeep And said it should be in in a few days and it should be about 40$. a couple of weeks went by and heard nothing I tried calling again and spoke to Chris again he said he forgot to order it and that he apologizes he’s gonna order it right now again a week or so goes by I hear nothing I called back this time I spoke to Rob and he says the wheel cover is in I said well no one called me. I finally get an appointment with Rob to come in on Friday, May 7 and do my oil change and the wheel cover replacement I come in at 10 o’clock and there’s a lady working at the front desk and she doesn’t even acknowledge me when I walk and she continues to look down at her computer even though I’m standing right in front of her finally with no enthusiasm at all she says can I help you ? I told you I have an appointment and I gave her my name it took her almost 15 minutes to check me in . I’m not too sure what she was typing and clicking away at her computer and her mouse . after about 15 minutes she looks up and says you’re total Today is going to be $285 I said for an oil change and a $45 wheel cover? She started rambling on a bunch of numbers I did hear her say a charge for a credit card fee charge for tools for supplies at this point I’m totally frustrated I asked for a manager she says that they’re all away and there’s no manager on site. The wheel cover that she had ready to put on my jeep was the wrong one it didn’t even fit my jeep finally they pulled my car in at about 1030 to just do the oil change and I was done an hour and 15 minutes later I was the only customer in there there was no one in front of me which seems like a pretty long time to just do an oil change considering that they had no cars in front of me and not working on anyone else’s vehicle. I also feel that $57 for an oil change on a four-cylinder jeep with no synthetic oil is a lot because in the neighborhood plenty of places offer 20$ or $30 oil changes. Also not very happy about the lady at the front desk rambling off All these charges about tools and supplies I’m not responsible for paying for the tools you need and then she says there’s a fee for using a credit card ! LOL who said I’m using a credit card ? I never told her that is how I was going to pay. I had both cash snd credit on me. and it took her about 15 minutes to check me in that’s ridiculous
Very professional business will recommend to family members and friends
For $768 state inspection, change of 2 light bulbs, oil change, and put a $150 part in which they claim was 288... way over priced. Would highly recommend not using them at all for anything. I don’t feel good about the business transaction at all. I’m sure they will post “I’m so sorry but that what we charge.” If you are reading this move on to one of the other 30 auto shops in the area.
Super nice and wonderful! Went in for my state inspection and was welcomed with nothing but warm welcomes!
Went for a state inspection & oil change, it was my first time there. They did the work & didnt tell me i needed things that i didnt. They did suggest things i may want now or in future but we worked together and they were fine with my decisions and didnt keep pushing me. Having a (retired now) mechanic in my family i know how important up-selling is to businesses. They made me feel like that was not more important than the customer. I was very happy with the experience and will definitely will go back to them for my car needs. The Service Adviser Dale Barnum was awesome.
Great service and so professional! I had my inspection done and they were honest and fair in their assessment. I loved the text messages that showed the progress as they were doing it as well as pics of any issues. Ill be back for all my car service needs!
Ms. Dale really took real good care of me in explaining the process of the issue with my automobile and helped diagnose if it was the real issue need addressing as far as needing to be repaired. She and the mechanic contacted me every step of the way up until car was repaired and ready for pickup. Ms. Dale didnt beat around the bush far as parts and pricing. Got a few other things done since my car was already there in shop. Headlights restoration was a 1000x better I could ever done myself. But Im very happy with my cars performance, it drives the day I drove off the car lot. Im definitely going back for more of the recommended work I need for my car. Thanks again Ms. Dale and to the mechanic that worked on my car. Highly recommend for your car repair needs
Fast, friendly, professional and courteous! Thank you so much for helping us out as we were stranded on the beloved I-64 traffic jam!
As always, the staff here are professional and pleasant, abiding by guidelines of protecting themselves and others by wearing and requiring masks in the facility. They’re a pleasure with which to do business.
Excellent service; very courteous and professional. My new go to auto care shop
Went in for an unscheduled state inspection. Dale was very pleasant and took my information quickly. I was out within an hour. Very pleased with my experience and would go again.
Very happy with the quality and price of the state inspection.
They were very professional and descriptive in the suggestion they had for the repairs that my car needed. The walk through was very easy to understand and I love the digital text I got with my car report in it. This is my first time coming here, and won’t be my last. I highly recommend this place for accurate car Inspection which is what I got done today and have my new car tag. Coming back this month for oil change
Very helpful and professional! They took my vehicle last minute and were still very prompt with service. Staff was very friendly and informative. Definitely will recommend them!
Awesome place. No long wait time... Excellent service 👍
Very nice inspections very pricey on service but a good place to get your car looked at for inspection
This is a Quality customer care experience place of business for your everyday and inspection needs. The manager and staff literally went out the way to really help a customer in a last minute dibocle. Please listen to them they know what they are talking about. Thanks again cant say it enough. Kelvin graham a new customer.
Was misled by this car repair shop from the beginning. Charged $700 to replace a manifold gasket on a motor that we knew was blown. I never gave permission for them to do that. Would make no sense to replace anything on a blown motor. It was taken there for diagnostics in order for a warranty to be satisfied. Due to this, we had the the car towed from there to another shop for repair. This shop told us that the manifold gasket was not replaced and they had not even put the motor back together. I would never recommend anyone to take their car to these people.
A1 customer service. Honest and nice people. I am weary of auto shops & I HIGHLY recommend.
Excellent place for any repair job. Large or small.
This is absolutely the best auto shop I have found in Norfolk. I was able to drop my car off and instead of waiting they gave me a courtesy ride home and picked me up when it was finished. Very friendly and professional. I will definitely be going back when needed.
I love, love, love these guys. I have had so many issues with my vehicle once I drove it off the car lot and Carmasters have been able to fix my car and keep it running. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I have had some very pricey bills due to all the work, but they always find a way to find the right price for me. I have never had to go back to have an issue fixed. They are super friendly and genuine, they are really all about taking car of their customers. I always recommend them when a friend or family has car issues. Thank you for all the hard work y’all do and the awesome customer service.
Was overcharged for a service, Car Masters corrected it when it was brought to their attention- Thank you Dale for taking care of it.
Changed my appt to fit my schedule. Great group.
Always annoying when you go in for a $20 state inspection and it turns into nearly $1k Visit. Got the job done even though it was expensive and took longer then expected. The workers were friendly and gave a very detailed inspection and explanation to why it was so expensive but it definitely took way too long.
If you like paying $300+ to fix a coolant leak, being stranded on the road with an overheated car one month later, and then being told that the leak is actually in a separate area and itll be another $350 charge to fix it, this is the place for you. Youll also get the benefit of being told that theyve waived the diagnostic fee for looking for where the leak is the second time (after obviously not fixing the issue the first time), as though you should be grateful. Completely shady business. Look elsewhere for an honest mechanic.
Price reference for potential costumers attached.About $134/hr labor I was told. Parts have 3year warranty.I will list what I could have paid at advanced auto for parts, and the warranty is included in the picture.I cant speak for their workmanship, I am not a mechanic.Expect pricing upcharges once they get your car apart. Original estimate was $1500, and then, once car was apart, over $3000.
I came in for a simple $20 inspection. Ive waited in there lounge for 5+ hours. I was finished with my inspection within 2 hours and I was told I had headlights that needed replacing. Sounded like no big deal. Thats when things went south. During that time I was given multiple quotes for my car every hour and a half. It started from $149 then jumped to $300 then it jumped again to $549!! Why did you keep hiking up the prices while labor is going on so I couldnt purchase the parts privately and be charged the labor??! 5 hours into the servicing after I received the $549 quote I asked politely to purchase the parts and come back but they were still going to charge me for labor!!! Horrible HORRIBLE customer service! Do not recommend this business! 0 out of 5 stars if I could!
I really enjoyed visiting Car Masters. Mostly I liked it because of friendly and mindful approach of the personal. Richard helped me a lot to understand the problem of my car. He gave excellent suggestions and was flexible in finding the solutions to the problem.
Super nice lady at the counter, very pricey on the simple work they suggested to do. New wiper blades, oil change, tie rod ends asking $650. Tie rod ends are a $60 part and it takes 10 minutes with no special tools. Oil change, $30. Wiper blades $30. So they must be paying their mechanics really well to be charging $650
Husband and I took our truck in for a state inspection. First time at the shop. Good prices, friendly and efficient staff. Very professional. They know what theyre talking about. Had a few unexpected things to fix, but it was a great experience.
This is the second vehicle I used them to inspect. Not only did they inspect the vehicles, they also gave us a very detailed list of what needs attention now versus later and it was even color coded. They are very friendly and professional.
The staff are very pleasant and responsive. The only reason for not 5 🌟 is during price quote they forgot one part which was an additional $160. They did work with me on the pricing which made it better. Do love the full car inspection that they do and pictures are helpful. Much better than many other places, and do highly recommended them. Will definitely use him again and might change to five star.
Great work as usual thank u guys again for everything!!
I went here around 6:45 last night and I needed to get an inspection ASAP. I was lucky they were able to take me. The girl at the customer service desk was great! She gave me a lot of insightful information about my car. The inspection took exactly an hour, and I sat in their customer lounge, and watched some tv. It was a very pleasant experience!
The staff was friendly and informative. I always have a hard time finding a mechanic for my Taurus, especially at a reasonable price. The were patient and finished in a timely manner with a great rate. I highly recommend Carmasters Automotive!
I went in for a state safety inspection which is only $20. They were going to charge me for my brake lights that were out. They said I needed a diagnostic test which cost about $120 because they said the bulb was not working. Mind you Im a woman. I went to the base to get second opinion. They checked everything and I walked away paying only $29 including my safety inspection because I refuse to go back to this place. Very unprofessional. Disappointing
Very thorough work, honest and upfront costs, nothing hidden. Always very polite & service is as fast as they can be, given their level of service. I feel comfortable and have been back multiple times. Also love the free carfax with detailed info on what they did to my car! So cool.
As a young person who literally knows nothing about cars in general, both the lady at the front desk and the mechanic explained everything in detail to me about what they recommended I do and what needed to happen with my car! They were all so pleasant and quick!
Nice staff and quality service, little expensive.
Absolutely LOVE Carmasters Automotive! Theyre reasonably priced, very honest, and accommodating. I was visiting my daughter who lives in Norfolk, & her car needed several things to pass inspection. They took the car right in, while we waited, & were very fair with their prices, & even told us what we didnt need to have fixed right away! I would highly recommend them.
Very helpful and excellent customer service. Sent a text of reported discrepancies straight to my phone. Very informative and affordable enough to take care of all the basic needs required. Highly recommend if needing a car inspection and very well trusted.
Very friendly and professional staff. Brought my vehicle in for a pre-purchase inspection without an appointment and was able to be seen right away. Really liked the service inspection email they send detailing the status of the vehicle with inclusion of photos of your vehicle. Prices are competitive.
Carmasters provided a digital copy of my annual vehicle inspection making it super convenient for me to retain for my records. Great customer service and very little wait time. I wish I had found them sooner!
Super friendly, nice people. Theyre quick and very decent/cheap prices. They do great work and I like that they will go the extra mile to just fill up a tire if they see it needs air or something. Highly recommend them. 👍
Very proficient and effective on diagnosis and repair of vehicles. Its worth the price to get the job right the first time
GREAT SHOP! The Techs here really know their stuff. If I ever have a question the owner can always explain things in a way I can easily understand. The customer service is great. It is is a real pleasure doing business there.I definitely recommend this shop.
I called several shops in the same area and the level of customer service was extremely poor until I called Carmasters. They were extremely eager to assist me with my situation to get me back on the road. Just when I was ready to give up, Carmasters made options for me to get the work I needed done and guaranteed me an approximate time I should be done. I was able to go back to work and pick my car up before 8pm after dropping it off at noon. Everything went so smoothly with their knowledgeable staff. Thanks Aaron!!!!!!!!! He provided me with a timeline of the entire work performed. I was intrigued with this level of professionalism. When I picked my car up, he still was professional not only to me but to the customers presently at the shop. Outstanding service!!!!! I will recommend your shop to others because it reminds me of being home in Chicago. Your shop made me feel at home. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!Gerald
I waited till the last minute to get a state inspection done but showed up first thing in the morning and the people here were absolutely amazing. As I was told 2 days prior and again that morning, I was to be able to get the inspection in the line of priority, per say. I was kept informed constantly of the standings of my inspection. My inspection was performed in a complete and thorough manner and was even shown the 2 items first hand that needed to be fixed, and I couldnt have agreed with them more. They fixed my 2 issues right then and there and I was soon out the door. The people there were all friendly and very knowledgeable. It really was a pleasure doing business here. US Navy Chief, ret.
This place did seem like a good shop initially, as they handled my state inspection adequately. I had mentioned that my headlight socket had been burned and would need to be replaced. When I received my car back, the headlight worked just fine, but a few days later it went out again. I looked at the headlight socket again and found that they had not replaced it, as it had the same burn mark on it.
It was amazing service my car runs great
I was very satisfied with the work they did on my car and the people there were very nice and friendly. However, I feel that they need improvement on communication with the customers. Several times I had to call them and get updates instead of them calling me. I also was not pleased that it took them 2 days to get the right parts for my car and I believe that they need improvement on getting parts for customers cars because it shouldve not taken them that long to order parts and have them delivered. I was glad they did give me a rental car at no cost to me and that the price they told me was the same as the quote they gave me. Overall I think they are a good place to go get your car worked on at a affordable price and you get what you pay for.
The waiting area is small and smells bad, there were 4 customers ahead of me. I got there around 4:30 and the salesman told me I wouldnt be seen before 7:30, two out of the four customers had already been there for over 4 hours. So I called another state inspection place and I was done in less than a hour, thank God I left this place.
Went in to get inspection, was quoted one price to repair a minor item and price. Ended up having to paying over $1,000.00
Had to get a state inspection, called different places and they were the only one willing to help. They are so friendly and informative. Loved that they called and sent out a text to inform me about my car!! Will definitely recommend them to people and go back!
Clean and hospitable waiting room. Very thorough state inspection and you get text updates while you wait?!! 100% recommend
Such a relief! I got a new inspection sticker after being very anxious whether my vehicle would pass or not based what I heard from another mechanic. Luckily, Carmasters are not money hungry and allowed me financing options and worked with my budget. They took me to my car and physically showed me what was wrong with my car. I highly recommend this place.
Was very pleased with my experience, they have a nice waiting area, and the lady that worked the front desk was very nice. they were incredibly thorough (though in good humor i was getting a very old truck inspected and i would rather they werent so thorough perhaps) haha. they were very informative, helpful, and polite. i would easily recommend them to friends.
Took my vehicle to these guys because My vehicle wouldn’t start due to a wiring issue. When the job was done, the tech tried to tell me he replaced components that didn’t exist, then told me it was wired wrong. When I looked at it, it was wired the same and he had added two wires to the solenoid. When I asked them why they added the wires, the only answer I was given by any one at the place was “well it cranks now, but you have a fuel issue. We want to do this and that and it’s gonna be $850” might I note I did not have a fuel issue when I brought it in to them. So I looked at the vehicle, told them to replace the fuel pump, and go from there. They replaced the fuel pump, but did not test to ensure that the fuel pump was working properly and said that in order to do that I had to pay an additional $90 diagnostics fee because the vehicle still did not run, and they would not do labor for free. I went out and the vehicle started just fine so I drove it home. When I got home I looked under the hood, and now I have oil covering my entire engine bay. Never had an issue with that either before it went to them. These people feed off of people that don’t know any better, charge outrageous prices for labor and I, as a certified mechanic, do not trust their work. Stay away!!!!
I needed an inspection. I know these take a while. I was quoted 4-5 hours. Which I understand, these guys are busy and not robots. It only took about an hour, and the reception was very good at communicating the progress of my vehicle. Everything I needed to pass was fixed and I even got a digital inspection to tell me exactly how my car did. I highly recommend!
