I have used US Automotive on several vehicles - always had good results. I an surprised to see so many negative reviews. They always explained the problem & solved it.If I am willing to let them work on my Porsche Cayman I must trust them.
So I took my car in for a simple replace on a ground wire at 8 in the morning because I had to work later that day I’m thinking 1-2 hours tops. At about noon the mechanic calls me tells me it could be 3-4 before I see my car so that means they had it for 7 hours a full shift for me at work and still didn’t have it done (one car in line ahead of me for an oil change). I finally get the car back after feeling abused and really sketched out by these guys and now it has the biggest coolant leak I’ve ever seen and it didn’t have one period coming into this. Now they wanna tip me off another 300$ for a 16$ replacement please read this and listen when I say it’s not worth even calling this shop.
This place was fantastic my only issue was the cap to my coolant wasn’t put back on and my car overheated. This could have really damaged my car and cost me way more the price of coolant.

Wow I just called to find out how much they would charge to put front brake pads on my truck that I have .. the lady that answered was extremely rude and proceeded to immediately school me thinking maybe because I was a woman she could ... Saying First let me tell you something, you most likely need this this and that and not just brake pads ect ect... I cant give you an accurate estimate until we have it here and look at it but it will be at least $120 if it is just the brake pads.. seeming so irritated at the simple question I asked and giving any kind of good customer service and simple answer was definitely not my experience just on the phone so will definitely NOT be bringing my vehicle here
I have had very good experiences with both, West Bypass and Nixa locations. The mechanics are tremendous about explaining whats wrong with my vehicle and what it will take to repair it. Kendra is extremely kind and very knowledgeable about all aspects of engines and their components, plus always makes me feel welcome when I visit for work to be done. I recommend U.S. Automotive in high regards.
This shop is equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment. Technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. They quickly found my problem and corrected it. The manager offered courteous shuttle service and made my schedule as important as theirs. Great service.
Excellent service the technician and the service writer were very knowledgeable and helped me to understand exactly what may be going on with my car. Came in for an oil change and they have what they call an 80 point inspection thankfully learned i may need to have caution with a few other things that was going on. But they in no way pushed or tried to convince me to have it done there. I will be going back with any issue or vehicle I own because of the amazing service I received!!!

The folks at US Automotive in Nixa are fantastic! Ive been here twice and will never take my car anywhere else. They are fast, friendly, and honest. Prices are competitive with or better than other shops like Pep Boys, and WAY cheaper than going to a dealership. If theres something you dont understand, a mechanic will take the time to explain it to you. Bring your car here. You wont regret it!
This is a very well equipped shop, they do great work, and you can count on them to get your job done quickly and correctly the first time and without issue. The only reason I cant say I love this pace is because they are unwilling to take on custom work. Not a deal breaker for most people, but for me, I prefer to do all the work I can, myself, and only take the car in only for the things I cant do, such as fabrication and pain and body work since I dont have the tools for that myself. If you just need regular maintenance, I would be more than happy to recommend this shop 100% any day.
State inspection. An excellent job. They checked the car over very carefully and found no problems. Great people and a nice building.
US automotive ripped off my 87-year-old father in September of 2018. They told him he needed a new water pump for his Toyota Prius. He bought the water pump then six weeks later my brother was driving it in Northwest Arkansas. It started making noise so he took it to a mechanic who said it was old and worn out and replaced it. When my father brought it back to US automotive to honor the warranty, the owner refused. My father began to wonder if they actually had replaced his water pump in the first place. So he took it to the Toyota dealer in Springfield. The Toyota mechanic said it was “very worn and likely the original part”. Then Dad took it to the parts department who said they hadn’t sold one of these the entire month of September. Only Toyota sells Toyota parts and there are no other Toyota businesses within many miles in any direction. Obviously US automotive could not have replaced the pump that that quickly without buying a new one locally. He was the victim of a US automotive scam.

The receptionist, Kendra, is a disgrace to the business. Her attitude is hateful. She certainly shouldnt be working the front desk of a company if she cant keep herself in check. I certainly will NEVER come back here for repairs and will recommend that nobody i know comes here either.
My car had a problem with the brakes. When I took it elsewhere, they told me there was nothing mechanically wrong with it. I took it to US Automotive, they found out what was wrong with it and repaired it. Now when I press on the brakes my car slows down and stops.
I have been to both the Nixa and Ozark location and have receive nothing but great service. I will continue to trust and use US Automotive as my mechanics. Reliable service and technicians are awesome. They will take the time to explain everything to you and even show you what is wrong on your vehicle.
We took our truck there because of a knock in the motor. They had it over a week and a half telling me every day after a week we could pick it up tomorrow. By the third day of that we finally got it back after I begged them to get it done. They agreed to come in on a Saturday and finish it. $2100 dollars later we got it back with the same knock. Took it back and after they had it three days I called to see what was taking so long and they had locked up the motor and wanted $4000 to fix it. They took no responsibility and insisted it wasnt what they previously fixed. We now needed a whole new engine. We drove it there and then had to have it towed to another shop to get it fixed. They are slow and unreliable. We just got an update from the mechanic rebuilding our motor that that the cause of our blown engine after us automotive replaced the lifters on it was because they neglected to hook up the vaccum hose on the back of our motor causing it to blow a hole in the piston.
The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and straightforward. I have had excellent mechanics each time I have needed service.
You could not find more honest and reliable staff at the Nixa location. I have never had a problem with their service.They are always social, willing to explain their process, and help you weigh the pros and cons of what services should be done first. Their priority is YOU. Even though I live in Springfield, I always try to make an appointment at the Nixa location before i consider going anywhere else.
This US Automotive has been there for me to fix everything that the one on West Bypass broke while working on my Jeep. They are very kind and understanding. I know where Im going to be bringing my Jeep from now on. Thank you guys!!
These people are crooks! First, they towed my car from the Nixa location to west Spfd without my knowledge, then tried to charge me $1283 for a fuel pump and filter! I called 2 other auto shops and was quoted $350 for same exact thing. So when I tried to take it somewhere else they tried to charge me for a tow (which my ins paid for) and then charged me $124 for diagnostics which was all a lie, cause other shop said the fuel filter was new and pump wasnt broken. It was just out of gas!! I cant stand how these places just try to sell you stuff you dont even need! Ill never use them again. Beware!
I took my 2006 Grand Prix here for an oil change and inspection on 5/17/2018. The oil was changed and the inspection completed. I was told I needed a new wheel bearing. Had the part replaced. Car drove great and I was happy with the experience.On 6/10/2018 I was driving on the highway. The car started smoking and gave a low oil pressure warning. Pulled over and saw a trail of oil down the highway. Crawl under the car and the oil filter had almost fallen off. I checked the oil level and it was bone dry. The car had blown all of its oil out on the highway. I had to get the car towed home. I checked the oil filter again and could feel by tightening it by hand the threads did not match up. I removed the oil filter and saw they installed a STP S3614 oil filter. This filter DOES NOT fit a 2006 Grand Prix 3.8 engine. I checked around online and the STP S3614 oil filter does not fit on any pontiac motors. I had to go buy a Mobil 1 M1-101A filter that actually fits the car.So my issue is that if the shop forgot to fully tighten the oil filter that would be okay, mistakes happen. I get it. But I have a problem with the fact the wrong oil filter was installed. It was not even close to fitting properly. Someone installed it and should have known it did not thread on properly!Now I have a car with unknown wear on the internal parts from running without oil. Who knows how bad that wore down the piston rings. Luckily I got it shut off as soon as possible but the damage is unknown.So, U.S. Automotive, how are we going to fix this problem?Update: On 6/11/2018 U.S. Automotive contacted me. They washed the motor oil off of the bottom of my car and said they were looking into how this issue could have occurred.

Horrible. dishonest. incompetent. took my car there for a shifter cable and they told me I had to get new brakes or we cant let you drive it off the lot..so I let them fix the brakes to the tune of almost $500 for one rear wheel brakes, rotor, caliper...wow. Threw the biggest fit about me not being able to drive it because it was unsafe. So I let them fix it. 1 side..as you can see at 500 a side, its expensive. I go to leave and the E-brake wont work...like it did before..oh that was like that when it got here..it wasnt. I said well you just redid my brakes and now part of my brakes dont work...isnt that odd? well we only worked on one side...but guess what? They worked on both sides..broke the e brake in the process...and lied about it like im stupid and dont know whats what..they let me leave with that safety issue...wonder why?..ohhh because they broke it and didnt know how to fix it and would have had to be truthful about it..replaced parts..master cylinder, slave cylinder..another $400..i asked 3 times what was wrong with them that they needed replaced...I got zero answers. I still dont know whats up with them..but I know my car went to them running, stopping, just needed a shifter cable...got to their shop and the weirdest thing: like 8 things all broke AT THE SAME TIME!!! can you believe it? I sure couldnt...do yourself a favor, kids..steer clear..this is a trap shop..tell everyone you know...do not go here..rude, hateful, inexperienced, dishonest people..seriously, think about that...what do you think is gonna happen to your car?.....

I truly feel that other things went wrong after I chose not to have them fix a problem earlier this summer.
I tried for 3 weeks to get them to call me back to schedule putting in spark plugs and each week I kept hearing that theyd get back to me and I never received a call back even after the 3rd and final time I called. Spoke to a guy and a girl and they took my name and number promising to get back to me and nothing.
Took my car in for some electrical work, tellin them there was an electrical short in it tha tI could not find. $ days late rI get a call from them saying the battery is bad because they cant do their testing without the battery dying. I explained to them that with the short, there is an additional draw on the battery. They argued of course stating they need me to pay them for a battery or buy a new one to have them test with... I had them give me my keys back.. cranked up the car with the dead battery and drove it home.. due to the short it died 3 times on the way there and started right back up... I got home.. took the battery out and put it on a wooden bench.... here it is 2 months later put the battery in my car today and it started right up. These guys dont know jack about electrical issues... dont take your car to these people for electrical problems... utter failure. And the lady was snarky about the whole situation. Battery still tests good at oreillys and autozone but according to us automotive.. its a bad battery .. whatever, idiots.

Took my Ford explorer a few years ago because the check engine light came on, $100.00 later for a diagnostic test the shop manager said bud you need a new transmission .the SUV only had about 90,000 miles then, he also quoted its only going to cost you $4,000 to repair get the f### out of here, I advised him put the truck back together again and Ill pick it up soon, ever since I have stayed the hell away, a week later back then I took it to another shop, nothing major just a faulty code ! Shady AF🤨
