Ive gone to Volkswagen dealerships across the country and in Canada and have never encountered anything in the likes of what I experienced at Casey Volkswagen. I made an 8:15am appointment for Friday sept 24 and dropped the car off the night before. I called over three times throughout the day to ask for updates on my car and they repeatedly told me there was no update when I called back frustrated at 530pm they told me the service department had closed. No one from the service department had bothered to call me to say that they would be closing without giving my keys back. Saturday comes along and I picked the car up at 430. They still had not looked at the car and told me I needed to make an additional appointment. Against my better judgment I made a secondary appointment. My appointment was Friday October 22 at 945am and same thing dropped the car of the night before, they closed Friday afternoon without calling me, and I received no call from them whatsoever all day Saturday. When I called at 430pm THE NEXT DAY they said no one had looked at my car and that they werent open on Sunday. Had I not called they would have closed and I would not have been able to get my car back until Monday. When I picked up the car on Saturday night they repeatedly said that there was going to be an investigation into why in both instances they did not service my car and were somehow unable to pick up the phone for a courtesy call. They assured me that someone named Bobby would call me first thing Monday morning to explain. Doubt I will ever get that phone number. In both cases I had to use vacation days and both times it was an utter waste no closer to finding out what is wrong with my car. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Tish Perkins provided excellent service while I was there! Came in for an oil change etc without an appointment and was told it would be one hour and 45 minutes. No big deal since I had nothing better to do. 30 minutes later, my car was done!! Talk about customer service!!

I will never buy another car from this place ever again. First of all i chose to buy a brand new car from casey after my first vehicle was sold back because of the diesel scandal(obvious huge mistake). Been a customer here since 2014 and never have been treated like i was this last visit. The people who answer calls for the service department are very rude. I was hung up on multiple times while they were “transferring” my calls. Very unprofessional. They never have rentals and will have your car for days without even calling to update. The problem only got solved dealing with the new service advisor named Lindsey who was very nice and accommodating. I would steer clear from this place.

Our Eos was there for 2 weeks and we still had no information. Carl never called us to tell us anything. Never returned calls, never called us when he said he would. I had to tell him to look at the history of the vehicle to see why the engine light had been on. We will return only due to Mike!

I went to get a car got the car i couldnt get my payment to be any cheaper than what i got now, even though I was offered a more expensive car not even 12 hours before. Bank called asked if I was aware of being 2 months late; because I payed my monthly at the dealership when they never told me to pay the bank and yet still took the money when stated this was the monthly payment for the car. Also whatever paperwork they sent for our information was sent wrong. But over all customer service and experience is always good. Theyre nice people

I took my car there and unfortunately got sick. Well while my car was there someone took my engine cover off,stole my original manual book to my car and it was covered with leaves and tree stuff. I was able to get the cover replaced because I had pictures before taking my car there but the noise I originally took my car there to get Inspected for is still there too and the book to my car didnt get replaced either. Im finally getting better because I was admitted into the hospital for months and this is the last things a person wants to have to deal with.

I took my 2012 VW Jetta for routine service and state inspection. They failed it for a “windshield wiper transmission” and a license plate bulb. They changed the oil, failed to replace the bulb and lost the ignition key.Bottom line, they wanted to charge me $2,000 for a non-existing problem, $327 for a key THEY lost and $30 for the oil change. That was on top of having to pay over $1000 for a rental car for a week longer than they told me they needed. To add insult to injury, I caught before I left, they didn’t put the new inspection sticker in the window. A lawsuit is pending!

This place is the absolute WORST place ever !!! I would never recommend this anyone .. I took my car here to get work done on my car and when I came to pick my car up the worker broke things inside my car (I’m still waitin to hear weather the piece that was broken was ordered ) and not to mention I just gave them almost $1000 to fix my car and Exactly a week later my car is back down .. my car instantly started to drive rough when I picked it up from them when I never had a problem till now .. I also asked my service worker did my car read any codes when I picked up it or needed to be serviced in any way and she advised me that my car was in good shape .. now they didn’t even diagnose my car and called to tell me before they can touch my car it needs a motor not knowing what the problem is to begin with . The customer service is HORRIBLE they don’t communicate with customers unless you constantly call them and you still don’t get help .. I wish I never bought a Volkswagen so I didn’t have to deal with this company .

They didn’t seem interested in figuring out why my car key fob had to be so close to the Ignition to start didn’t even suggested I bring it in to have it checked out, I went in for an oil change an inspection and I was told I needed to make an appointment however when I called back they said I could just walk in. They seemed a bit disorganized.

Had appointment at 9:00 a.m. - left at 6:20 p.m. I called after hours to answering service at 6:45a.m. No one returned my call. Is that the way a successful business is handled? The mechanic who worked on my car was great and should get a raise.It did not take me long to learn you were short-handed. I took my daughter’s car in because of a recall. Your hourly rate is to high for me or my daughter to handle. Left spending an over $750.00. I am from Ga. but my daughter will have to find someone else to service car.

My state inspection was due at the end of the month. As I was picking up my phone Casey was calling me to schedule an appointment to get that taken care of. The lady also mentioned that it had been a while since I had had the oil changed. She suggested we take care of that at the same time. She read my mind. The entire staff was courteous and professional during my visit. I was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Overall a very positive experience.

Love the car! I dont appreciate all the hoops I have to jump through just to give this place money, though!Ive been working on a deal with them since last Tuesday, when I disclosed all of my intentions and how I planned to pay for the car, including a substantial down payment. The dealership had to acquire the car I wanted from somewhere else, and I went back in on Wednesday to place a deposit on the car. Again, they were very aware of the size of my down payment. The car finally came in on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and I made an appointment on Sunday to finalize everything and get the sale all patched up. I was not made aware until 30 minutes prior to my appointment on a SUNDAY that I needed to either have a check or cash in order to make a down payment. I dont carry a checkbook on me, and I dont know many people my age that do. Regardless, if I had been made aware of this on Tuesday when the deal had begun to process, I wouldve been able to be better prepared or make other arrangements for a payment. When I asked if I could wire funds or make an electronic funds transfer, I was told that I couldnt.I went in to pay what I had verbally arranged to pay on Sunday. I made a verbal agreement that I would come back today, a week from last Tuesday to pay more towards the down payment and I was sure to clarify with 3 different people that I would pay with card. When I went in to pay, everyone I had spoken to seemed to suddenly not remember this conversation (I know, its not written, thats on me). HOWEVER, when I went in to make the payment, I was then informed that I COULD make a wire transfer from my bank. I was told no when I asked on Sunday. Needless to say, Im BEYOND frustrated with this lack of communication and it was a waste of my time to come back down to the dealership just to get a piece of paper with instructions about how to make a wire transfer to them. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will be so happy when Im finished with purchasing this car from them.

Just bought my new 21 Jetta from Justin and let me just say that he was phenomenal. He was super friendly and transparent about everything and didnt try to pressure me into buying useless additions to my car. When I finally bought the car he sat in the car with me going over all the new tech, explaining it in great detail and set everything up so that it syncs with my phone. The manager Rudy was very awesome to work with and gave me the most competitive price that none of the other dealerships could match.

Dropped our vehicle off on a Saturday after having brought the car in the week before and being told the items would take some time and parts needed to be ordered. We received no updates, and messages left for our maintenance advisor went unreturned for days. Finally had to call the maintenance manager to get any update at all (on Thursday). Was told the car would be ready on Friday by 5:30 pm. Decided to wait until Saturday morning to get it to allow extra time given the issues we already experienced. When we got there we were told it still wasn’t ready…no call, no text, nothing! They FINALLY got it back to us on Monday, more than a week after we dropped it off. Customer service was terrible and communication was non-existent! Will NEVER go back snd will NOT recommend them to anyone. Just inexcusable!

I needed an oil and filter change. When I arrived @ 0900hrs on a Saturday. One vehicle was ahead of me in the service bay. I was greeted and handed off to a service writer. From there, I was shown a copy of my roll over alignment report. I had 2 slightly abnormal wear patterns so I opted for a wheel alignment. I can’t sit still, so I like to walk around. I frequently walked to the service bay and looked at how the tech was progressing. My car sat for almost an hour. After it was moved, the oil change, tire rotation, and alignment took 1.5hrs. No one came to check on me, no updating me on progress, nothing. After being in there for 2.5hrs, I walk out and the car is waiting on me. Shortly after, I get a text saying my service is complete. The original service writer was not to be found and my alignment paperwork could not be found. After the new service writer gets up to speed and some good natured back and forth, I volunteered to drive over the roll over alignment device to verify the alignment was good. As fun as that would have been, the alignment paperwork was on the dash. Not bad over all, but the experience could have been better.

Poor communication left me sitting, waiting for my vehicle for 5 hours creating a lot of difficulty with work and child care. I travel to Casey from the south side making a shuttle service unhelpful and had the situation been better explained to me I could have had the warranty work done locally and saved myself a lot of trouble and my kids a lot of hassle. This staff was courteous and I normally have a very positive experience with this location but my last visit left me with a very bad taste in my mouth.

This is the 3rd visit for scheduled maintenance for my 2020 VW Atlas cross sport. I had the rear window defogger go out, a license plate that was improperly installed by the dealership that needed to be fixed and now a scheduled appointment for a broken hood latch cable. Many problems with the vehicle, however, each time I had to leave the vehicle for atleast a day to several. I waited three weeks to get a loaner vehicle for the hood latch, only to be called the day before that there are no loaners available. Very disappointing! Service is not speedy and whats the point in scheduling a loaner to not get one!

I brought my car in for a minor recall. I was told it could take 3-4 hours. Mike was super friendly and professional and the work only took less than 2 hours. I could have utilized a shuttle service but opted to hang out in their customer lounge. It was clean and tidy with a large screen TV. A few other staff checked on me while I waited. Everyone was friendly & I noticed a nice report amongst employees. That’s always a decent sign of a well-run workplace. I have had less than positive interactions at a different Casey dealership in Newport News so had reservations about bringing my car to Casey VW. I’m happy to say I had a great experience at the VW branch and would happily go out of my way to bring my car back for service even though I live far far away in Williamsburg. 🤪

The customer service team was persistent in communicating with me so I got my car inspected in time. They emailed and called and emailed and called, I’m grateful. If it were up to me I probably would have scheduled late. Upon arrival they moved quickly and even serviced some recalls on my vehicle that they suggested. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. It will be worth your while to avoid Karl at Casey Volkswagen. I brought my wifes car in for service and upon learning it would need to stay there overnight we had to practically beg for any information on the car. As it turns out another part was needed and the car needed to stay longer. Fine, no big deal. However the only way this information was learned was via 3 unreturned phone calls. Finally my wife got into contact with Karl only to have her questions scoffed at. When service was completed and she arrived for pickup she was greeted with more condescending Karl comments.

I had an appointment to have a recall addressed on my car. I made the appointment over the phone with the gentleman who informed me of the recall. He told me the work would take around 45 minutes to an hour and a half.Knowing this I dropped my car off and used the convenient shuttle service to go run some errands. Ron, the shuttle driver, was super professional and incredibly personable.After running my errands, I returned two and a half hours later and was told it would be about another 45 minutes. Knowing that 45 minutes was the original estimated wait time, I asked the service advisor, Karl, if the car had even been started on yet. He told me that if I was in a hurry and needed to go he was sure it could be put back together for me to take. I asked again if it had been started on, and he was honest enough to say no.So what was supposed to take 45 minutes, hour and a half tops, was now going to take at least 3 hours. At that point I just took my car back, recall unfixed.Do not expect this service department to honor appointments. You can show up 15 minutes early like I did all you want, your appointment doesnt mean a thing to them.

Watch the BAIT and SWITCH! Ive had nothing but trouble buying from this dealership. We bought a Jetta in 2014 and was lead to believe we were receiving one price for our trade-in but quickly realized in financing we received another. The deal wasnt as sweet but it still worked for us (my wife was in love with the car) so we completed the purchase. Then, about a year later I receive an email that we could upgrade to a fancier model. I make an appointment to work something out and they acted like I was crazy and wouldnt deal with me. Finally, we are in the market for a new car and I use THIER website to value my trade-in. Once I get there and they appraise it, they offer me $2,500 less than what they did online. (In fact, they are $1,500 less then CarMax and $4000 less than Carvana.) So three times they have pulled the ol bait and switch on me. I will never darken their doorstep again!!As for the Jetta we bought in 2014? We love it! VWs are great cars and I would recommend them to anyone. Weve had very little trouble from it (knock on wood). Just find another dealership to purchase one.

This was my location for serving my vw. After spending at least 10k over the years I was loyal to this business. I purchased a new vehicle. I took it to Casey Volkswagen for a check engine light. Before I took it to Casey, I took it to auto zone to have an idea about the check engine light before Casey could get a crack at it. It gave me a p0299 code. Meaning there was a turbo issue with my vehicle. Casey agreed and said it was a plug associated to the turbo. The part and labor was around $800. Total bill that day was $1800. My check engine light did not go off. One week later after waiting on Casey vw to confirm they misdiagnosed my vehicle they said the plug associated with the turbo caused the turbo to go bad. They wanted another $1600. My position is that the turbo was bad the entire time. Casey misdiagnosed the turbo issue. Yet they will not accept responsibility. All I want is accountability.

Had a great first experience at Casey VW servicing. Mike was my advisor. He was very professional, efficient, chill and friendly. Other staff was also very friendly. Waiting room was nice with TV, restrooms and internet. They even washed my car for free with my service. I would recommend this dealership.

Bought a 2021 Jetta that rode really rough in the front suspension. Took it in for the 30 day check up and voiced my concerns and told them to check to see if the shipping spacers for the struts were still there. Told it was a tire pressure issue and that i would have to make an appointment to get the struts looked at. Took it home and looked for myself and sure enough, the spacers were there. Took them out and the car rides 1000 times better. A five minute job at home that I shouldnt have to do if they put a little more attention to detail when going through these cars upon delivery.

Ashley and Casey always answered my calls with help and kindness. I did not meet the mechanic that worked on my car, but I am sure the pleasure would have been mine. Thank you to everyone!
