They are very professional, knowledgeable, & personable. I had a great experience here. I will be going here for all my car needs. Cindy is always on top of customers. I knew what was needed for my car. What was going on with my car. And was asked before work was done. I feel like what was in my best interests was met and put first not how much they can make off of my. I am very happy all the way around and highly recommend Cindy the staff & this location

Once again a life saving store. You walk in and no matter what they stop what they are doing, and greet you, and are truly sincere about it. Todays instance was with Mr. Murchison, the stores GM. I had contacted half a dozen shops prior, including the dealership, all having to order with a 2 day minimum wait, which is understandable for this particular part. Got greeted before I could even day hello, and he got to work. I didnt have to explain the part, its locatuon, how it worked, and didnt have to repeat myself. To boot, he remembered my last visit from a year ago. Got my part from the back, and was back in less than 60 seconds. Even other associates greeted me when they approached the sales floor from the back, and they werent even the associate working with me. Amazing atmosphere, CLEAN store, extraordinary customer service, and overall an outstanding experience!
Great place to get parts for your vehicle. Staff is very knowledgeable, willing to help with suggestions to get you on the road again. They also have a full selection of specialized tools.
So I walked into the Napa auto parts on Jefferson Ave in Newport News today and stood in line waiting to make my purchase. One of the employees was helping out another customer with some parts and the other was on the phone. I stood there for about 10 minutes with my products in hand ready to pay and get out of there when this guy walks in and stands about 3 to the right of me the guy on the phone hangs up and looks at the guy that just walks in and says how can I help you... Are you serious!? I looked at the guy behind the counter and said hey man im standing right here waiting to pay he said nothing and continued with the guy that just walked in. Now Ive been in customer service for years and I would never in a million years treat a paying customer like that ever. Needless to say I will not be a Napa auto parts customer ever again.

We had a dead battery from NAPA and went to this store to see if it is under warranty. When I asked her whether or not the battery was under warranty, she asked for paper work. Now, I have bought batteries from other places and as best as I understand if there is no receipt the date marked on the battery is used to determine whether or not it is under warranty. So when I told her about checking the date mark, she insisted on paper work. The battery came with the car and she pointed out that there is no warranty because it only goes with the original owner. Even if that is so, we called another NAPA and they told us that no customer information was kept on file with the battery.Regardless of whether we can get the battery replaced under warranty or not, that woman was rude, rude, RUDE! Do not shop at this NAPA, find another one or better yet by your auto parts elsewhere.
Poor Inventory Controls -- So I order online (Order # 18953388) a double row radiator for a Ford project Im doing and drive 15 miles to the store to pick it up. Counter lady provides me a taped up box with C1995 numbering on the outside -- sounds ok as I know they use Spectra Premium radiators and that number roughly tracks the Spectra numbering system. Get the box to my shop, open it and inside (half the styrofoam packing is missing) the box is a C1905 single row radiator -- wrong part and its for a Dodge Dakota !NAPA needs to do a better job with its inventory control - in this case, they obviously botched it up. These kind of errors cost their customers (me) gas, time, money and effort.Adding insult to injury I purchased a set of NAPA wiper arm bushings for a 1987 Dodge W350 4x4 Crew restoration -- part looked ok in the package but had to be trimmed down considerably to fit the wiper arm linkages. Apparently the material had hardened badly from UV light exposure and was no longer flexible enough to work properly without the modification I accomplished.Store Grade: D-
