My favorite coffee shop in all of OC. Every time I come I’m greeted with a smile and amazing suggestions. Interior has such a vibe and on the weekends there’s a DJ.Everything is perfect about Common Room Roasters. Worth the hour drive from DTLA.

European vibe and fabulous coffee. The barista was so sweet and helpful. Nitro cold brew has a rich and deep flavor. Cappuccino with oat milk was creamy and smooth. Looking forward to the fresh ground coffee in my French press.

Highly Recommended! It was a clean, comfortable, and brand-new location. The waiter also accommodated the coffee and bread that I ordered in a timely and courteous manner. I was captivated to take a picture while waiting because of its exclusive and fun view. When my order arrived, I began eating and discovered that everything was delicious. Fantastic!

Common room roasters is in an unusual place but the best part is that it’s VERY quiet. There is roomy outdoor seating and some inside too.

My friends and I went to a coffee shop one day. I was overjoyed with their best coffee latte yet! The room was so cozy for the other drinks. Theyre friendly and have a good time with their service team. The best coffee shop in town for researching and doing paperwork. What a lovely place to visit!

Met up with a friend that lives around the area, after a long bike ride, a cold topo chico and a tasty espresso go hand in hand. The location is a bit hidden but the location itself is very cool.

This is the best coffee shop in town. Staff are super knowledgeable about everything about coffees and are always ready with advice and suggestions. They really make or served the best coffee that you havent tried before. I am very happy to have found this coffee shop and I would recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you!

Their muffin is very delectable! Its as though you cant get enough of it. Their latte was fantastic; the brewed dark roast espresso and milk were clearly discernible.

The coffee was great. I had a pull-over. They used a machine pouring into a Kalitta brewer instead of hand-pulled which was slightly disappointing to me. I was hoping to see/taste the skill of the staff. But the cup tasted quite smooth. The environment is very nice and easy-going. Plenty of space inside and outside for sitting. The coffee was served in a small Asian-style tea cup and a small carafe on a bamboo plate with a small card describing the coffee bean you are tasting. Very elegant!

If you haven’t been to common room, get some common sense and GO! their coffee is fantastic, and the baristas - caleb, ryley, and nani - are all wonderful.

This place is super cool. Trendy Third Wave Coffee Shop roasting fine coffee locally in house. On point Latte and Americano. Great pastries. Barista was helpful and friendly. Plenty of space inside and outside to sit, hang and get work done. Vibe can be a little noisy. Check this spot out.

Theres no denying that this coffee shop is well-known for its excellent coffee and pastries. Im so fortunate that I had the opportunity to try it, and it was delicious, because everyone here is wonderful and satisfying. Even then, the service is outstanding, and I will really recommend it to these individuals!

Its the towns largest coffee shop. Furthermore, their coffee is fairly priced. They are still running a lovely, basic business that provides excellent service! It is without a doubt a must-try!

Seriously this is one of my most favorite spots on earth. I love walking in, the fragrance of coffee beans filling the atmosphere. What I have experience knowing Jesus is what this place did to my coffee experience, I didnt know why people loved coffee so much until I tried my first Mocha, my second Latte, a capuccino and flat white at CRR. Now I believe, now I wont take anything less and if I do I know the difference. This place is Beyond awesome and exquisite, 10 stars. The baristas are amazing, I almost cant take so much niceness.

Cool vibe in the airy warehouse. The outside garden area is quite pleasant as well. Delicious espresso served in ceramic cups. (So nice to not have to endure paper cups!) Kind barista seemed to know everyone by name and even temembered my drink order from over a week ago. Someone needs to promote this woman!

Best Oat Milk latte in Costa Mesa. 5/5. The coffee is actually amazing, not like any other taste in the area. Yumm, going to get me another cup!

So good. Coffee was great... Like great! Espresso was on point, and the ham and cheese croissant was good! Totally worth it if youre a coffee lover.

First time trying CRR, coffee was okay. Coffee was cold and tasted a bit old. We did come at 3:15pm though, and shop closes at 4pm. We ordered 2 house coffees we paid $8.69, I think its a bit overpriced. Liked the coffee presentation, unique and chic. Enjoyed the unique room decor, and great customer service from barista. Music was a bit too loud.

Cool, hipster-ish (thank god it’s about to end), “contemporary” coffee shop.Baristas are good, music and volume is great. Only tried blend beans with my espresso, was a great roast I can tell but not my taste. It was a bit sour for me.

Great little roastery thats a bit off the beaten path. Its located on a small business street so you wouldnt expect to find something like this. The baristas are very knowledgeable about the coffee and the best thing about this place is that the roast their own beans!

Iced Americano was great. My almond croissant was great too. The space is designed beautifully and is great for working or morning meetings.Looks like there is a rotating space for different pop ups. Will be coming back

Totally legit coffee in such a cool space. I can’t say enough about the decor and design of the space—it’s super hip. The only complaint I can find to lodge is it’s only open till 3:00p or 4:00p; so make sure you get your caffeine fix early.

Amazing coffee prepared by friendly and very knowledgeable baristas! I highly recommend Common Room Roasters for both drinks and coffee beans by the bag. Although not that close to home for me, I’ll gladly go back to buy beans and sample other drinks, or an affogato 🍨. Very cool and fresh aesthetic.

Got the flat white. The espresso the best I’ve had locally. Full of flavor and body. The place is a little out of the way. Just enough to give you that sense of discovery. The design of the shop is unique and definitely on point. I’ll be returning for sure.

Came across this place close to my house, so I took a quick trip. Was super happy to find out they do pourovers and a variety of other techniques. Coffee arrives on a wood tray in a cup & container ala intelligentsia, better yet, the Hario container had a lid to keep it warm. They are currently working with sweet bloom roasters to roast their own beans, and it shows. The coffee is GOOD. 10/10 will come back. Great place to get some work done, although the power sources are hit or miss.

The common place is a commonly good place.Positive- high quality coffee- great atmosphere and music- beautiful on the inside and out.- really great customer service super friendly staff- really nice and open doesnt feel crowded- self serve water ( also staff will get you some which is great)Negative- high prices- parking- automatic poor over machine- as of this date does not roast there own coffee although there are going to soonAll in all its a pretty great place and some people wouldnt mind the prices and the things I thought were negative, but when there is no drip coffee which I understand, but they use a pour over machine, that is lame in my opinion. And there is other coffee shops that produce quality at lower prices and roast there own coffee. Still would recommend though 4 out of 5

Classy AF. Feels like being in the mission.

This coffee shop offers a lot more than just coffee, and its conveniently located near my house. It gets pretty crowded but has indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast, and the food is excellent. Locals and college students, along with the tourists, know that this is a great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, or desserts!

We stopped by for coffee and cake and were extremely impressed by their kind staff, great atmosphere, and affordable prices. This is a great place where you could just go to watch the people and read the signs on the wall, or just step out back to an exhibit. The atmosphere is everything here, and the coffee is good.

I love Common Room Roasters.The staff is always happy and friendly, and they always pour a good, strong cup of coffee. I love love love that they carry soy AND almond milk, because lets face it: almond milk is far superior to soy milk in all cases, including in your coffee.

Little neighborhood coffee shop. I had the pour over Peru Cusco. Tons of baked goods. My wife liked the coffee float. Seemed like every employee and customer had some nice ink. Felt like i was at tattoo convention

This is a very unique and eclectic coffee shop...the coffee is roasted right there and customers can see the process through floor-to-ceiling windows. The music, played on a record player, along with soft lighting and interesting seating arrangements, provide for an ambient, relaxing environment for both working and socializing.

This place is perfection. We come here almost everyday. Coffee is amazing, lattes are made with macadamia nut milk and they make their own vanilla syrup. Very cool hipster vibe. My favorite cafe so far even with all the competition. They have scaled down the cafe sitting area, so mostly sitting out front with a couple little umbrella tables.

Stopped in this quaint coffee place. The service was quick and the coffee was awesome. Breakfast and a coffee right in the heart of downtown. Lovely place to stop and relax.

Easily one of my favorite coffeeshops in Orange County. The coffee is fantastic, there are lots of pastries and sandwiches, its incredibly cozy, and everyone who works here is incredibly nice. My only complaint is that I wish they were open a little bit later, but they thankfully open pretty early, so its generally easy to find time to stop by. Oh, and they also play great music and have plenty of free parking nearby, which are both added bonuses. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Good espresso. Not over the top, but solid. The bigger negative for me was the EXTREME hipster/uppity vibe. Normally this doesn’t bother me, but this place was on a whole new level and it just didn’t feel “family friendly” (I brought my son). That being said, the coffee was good.

Great place, wish I had known it was here sooner! Coffee was great, and the pour over setup was very unique. The place is very open and relaxing, so its a great spot to ease into your day! Only suggestion is to add more seating.

I went here for the first time because of their Sunday morning run group and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked their coffee. Ill definitely be back because it is very smooth and overall the place has a great vibe.

Such a friendly coffee shop!I arrived at 10am just about an hour before they closed! The owner was so nice and pleasant making sure I knew everything about the shop before I ordered. What I liked about this place is there was plenty of seating, though a few more tables and chairs wouldnt hurt!Will have to bring my bike on my next visit!

The drink was delicious. The seating (mostly various stools) is definitely designed to discourage clients from lingering -- get it & go! That, coupled with excessively loud music for the time of day (3 p.m.) and the number of people in the place (6, I think. 3 or 4 of whom were young children chasing each other, climbing on the furniture and knocking it over, kinda spoiled the visit for us...except that the drink (cold coffee w/ milk & a hit of chocolate) was delicious but not inexpensive @ $5.50!

I love the common room feel. This is an excellent location to catch up with a friend or sit back with a book. Wifi, background music, tables, all here. Phenomenal coffee with a very cool atmosphere. Plenty of nice areas to sit in, staff was very friendly, and pricing is spot on. This coffee shop has live DJs on Saturday, and the events that come through this place set it apart from your run of the mill grab and go coffe shop. Definitely take your time here and enjoy what they have put together, its an excellent daily stop for the neighborhood.

True enthusiasts who truly care about their craft. The result is superb coffee served in a way best described as romantic.My only issue is the wifi that only gives me 5-10mbps and drops every 10 mins or so. Would love to spend more time here getting some work done but its hard to do in a connected world.
