This place lies to you about standard company policy. Took advantage a 79 year old women. Sold her a car and when she tried to bring in back for something smaller during the 3 day Shopper Assurance and they said that you do not have 3 days to exchange the car. Which was a blatant lie. It took filing a BBB complaint and going to corporate for them to admit they lied. It states it clearly on the website. They thought they could take advantage of an elderly women. When we called they hung up on us and they were extremely rude. I recommend you not come here. Then they tried to raise the interest rate on the exchange to be spiteful. The right thing for them to do is cancel the contract as they are very deceitful. Not even worth 1 star.

Absolutely great to work with! After calling 15-20 dealerships across the country looking for the specific car I wanted, Diane S at Genesis of Newman was the only person willing to truly help me. She found the vehicle for me (a pre-order of one coming in) and made sure that everything was handled for when it would arrive. As the arrival date approached, she made sure that everything went smoothly, as I was coming from out of town for the purchase. The vehicle was a little delayed, but she really bent over backwards to make me happy and to make sure that everything happened as best it could- checking in with me every day. I really couldn’t be more pleased. Finance was a breeze with Jonathan S; I don’t think it could have gone more smoothly and without issue. He made every step easy and really helped with some difficult issues I was having with my trade-in. And I can’t forget Glenn M- he spent a good hour with me going over the vehicle and it’s features. He even had several items personally programmed for me with my information before I arrived for pickup! Overall, awesome team and great dealership. You can’t go wrong by trusting them with you Genesis needs!

I was scheduled for my very first vehicle service and found it to be a veryexceptional experience. I was greeted by a friendly Service department manager who handled my check-in promptly and made sure I was happy with my Hyundai and asked if I had any concerns that would be dealt with during my service. While my car was going through all the necessary checks, he also made sure I was comfortable while waiting.My service was complete and I was very happy with my first experiencewith Southtowne Hyundai. Wish I could give them no stars after trying to make my first payment. Beware that when making your payments if you only have a debit card you have to call in and be charged $7.95 on top of your payment to pay your car note which is unfair. Some customers only have a debit card and to charge almost $8.00 is not right. You can pay with cash but only through Western Union which is another fee. I really wish I would have known this up front.

Every vehicle is marked up nearly $10k over MSRP. The atmosphere seems predatory. As soon as we started questioning they lost interest in us. We left and bought elsewhere without the price gouging.

My Hyundai Elantra has been kept Hostage allegedly waiting on a part from S. Korea. It’s been a month and the GM has asked his sales agents to call my son to trade in the car?I am the owner of the car. I am an American soldier deployed on contract In Iraq.I am seeking legal counsel to get my car returned to my son. He needs it to compute. This is an un-acceptable practice on the Coweta county, Newnan, Ga Southtown Hyundai dealership!

I would never recommend this place to no one, my experience was the worst I’ve ever seen the car dealership. The salesman treated me and the car like a number instead of a person bringing your company business. The transaction was very fishy and the salesman didn’t even care about the bad weather he was putting driver in to bring me the car. I received my 2020 G-90 with the cameras not working (keep in mind this is a fairly brand new car with only 5,000 miles) I called the salesmen and he told me to just push the reset button cause the cameras were working fine…..I’m still waiting on my papers and titles from the company and every time I call to speak about the matter, the reception just transfers me to different places that no more ever answers nor call back too. I’ve been waiting to speak to the General Manager, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, even a MOD and I still haven’t been able to get my registration and papers nor talk to someone and it’s been a MONTH smh please save your money or go somewhere that will value you as a person.

I brought my 2019 Genesis G90 under manufacturer warranty by transport to the service department for a voltage issue that caused the car to not start. Well to make a long nightmare short I was charged $400 for a battery then charged 4 labor hours to determine what they need to properly fix the issue. Every time I called I was given from rats eating the wires, not enough technicians to work on the car etc. 6 days later I had to get the vehicle towed after I was told they needed to remove the engine and transmission! Well I had to pay $833 for nothing. The next day I was called from their customer service department and asked for the GM to call because Im sure this would have never happened at another dealership. So far no call and the car is still broken

I will not accept this kind of scam, especially if they had such a great review from other people. I will need to hear an apology from them.

I came in due to an offer on Facebook for 5k above book value on your trade in. I made the mistake of giving the very friendly people my keys so that they could review my car. I never got my keys back. I repeatedly brought up the deal, but ended up only getting low black book on my trade - in. Once they get your keys, youre leaving in a new vehicle even when you tell them you cant afford the payments. So I let them talk me into a newer car with better features, but less than a week later Im laying in bed awake at night stressing out about paying for it. I dont feel like it was the worst possible deal. I just wouldnt have given in if Id been able to get in my car and leave. Now Im in a payment thats going to hurt me financially for years. Am I partially at fault? Sure. Should I have forced them to give me my keys back so I could leave? Yes. Do I like the new Hyundai? Of course. Will I make this mistake again? I dont think I will.If Id gotten the advertised offer that brought me in so my payment wasnt so high, this would be five stars.On an up side - excellent customer service from the service team. They called the next day because a factory defect was supposed to be repaired before it left the lot. They came to my house and picked it up and then brought it back to make sure it was corrected.

Very frustrating to try to deal with Southtowne Hyundai remotely. Left an email inquiry through their website and haven’t received a call back from the sales department in over 24 hrs. Followed up with three different calls today and have been hung up on twice (assuming during a transfer) and sent to two different voicemails that were two full to leave voicemails and was then disconnected. In a competitive environment were customer service is essential to sales, I would suggest you lower your expectations if you must deal with this dealership remotely as they do not appear to be have the infrastructure to deliver in a professional manner.

I purchased a 2021 Hyundai Palisade, the bumper was cracked and, they were not helpful in getting it fixed. So, I decided to pay for it on my own. I schedule a time, drop my car off for two days only to get a call back from the department advising the part had not come in. We scheduled this on 7.19.21. the part did not come in until 8.19.21 And i was advised that several of them were broken in transit before they received a functional one. Another issue i was having was my tags. not only did they send my tags to the wrong address that did not appear on any of the paperwork i signed, they were not helpful in trying to correct the issue. The day after i purchased my car i could not get anyone on the phone from service or collision. I would not recommend getting a car from this dealership if you want to have any future dealings with them. They will get you in the car but, they will not be helpful moving forward. The only reason i rated them 1 star because there is not an option for zero stars. I am extremly dissapointed.

Haven’t heard anything from them about my car. Car was due for an appointment on August 20, 2021 but I had it towed in a couple days before cause I wouldn’t have a way to get it there later. I’m not sure if the appointment got canceled or what. I spoke with Mr. Gustavo. He told me to call and I have been doing that but someone hangs up on me each time. Warranty company called me and asked about the car because they haven’t heard anything either.

This dealerships willingness and ability to handle an escalation is world class. Huge shoutout to Bram and Allen. I had a major issue with a used car I purchased from this dealership that was an unfortunate situation.Bram and Allen worked with me to come up with a solution that made me extremely satisfied that we believe was fair to both parties. They listen and are compassionate.The finance manager was also very nice to deal with I forgot his name.I gave some feedback on their phone system that was acknowledged.I’d recommend doing business here and will send referrals here for years to come.

Once you get in for service, it runs very smoothly. My one complaint is I had service scheduled in May for the ABS recall. I was called the night before and told they couldnt do the repair because they were too busy. I could take the car in and it may take 4 days to complete the service. I said ok but I need a loaner. No way would they provide me with a loner although I had less then 4000 miles on the car. I had to wait two months to get a new appointment. I was not pleased with this wait.

My A/C cabin vent would stop blowing air intermittently a after a couple hours on the road. It was a difficult problem to troubleshoot which took almost 2 days. The service representative, Wes Lawson, was very informative in keeping me updated on the process. The part had to be ordered and was replaced and system checked. I appreciated everything Wes Lawson and Southtowne Hyundai done to repair my Sante Fe. Thank you.

I schedule the service appointment on-line but when I arrived the service department said they did not see the appointment. He said they were having some problems with the on-line scheduling. However, he agreed to work me in for the service recall I had received. He said it would be about 60-90 minutes, but the work was completed within an hour.

They got a lead on me from truecar, called me in a morning, and asked me to come in because they had 72 hour employee pricing event. I asked if they had the specific model I was looking for, and they assured me they had at least one in each trim. Scheduled me for VIP appointment for the evening of the same day. I and my wife drove from the other side of town, only to be told as we walked in, that the last car was sold yesterday.I want 6 hours of our lives back. Cheap sales tactics without any regard for people.

I got a letter in the mail back in late November 2020 saying that my car had a recall on it. I set up the appointment online with the dealership in newnan. I went through all the steps and got a confirmation email. I arrived at my appointment in early December 2020, (Note I live an hour from the place) and the guy comes up to my car and said “so we can’t do your car today.” I asked why and he said that I needed to order a part. I told him that nowhere on the website, email, or letter did it say I had to order a part.. he apologized and said he would let the manager know. He took my name down and said they would order the part, and they would let me know when it came in. Well two months went by and I emailed the lady who sent me the confirmation email the first time to follow up and see where the part was. She replied and said she would check into it for me. Two more months go by and I emailed her again. No response. I called up there several times to try to talk to her and she would never call me back. I left several messages. Whenever someone would answer the phone, they were always so rude. I would tell them I need to speak with the lady, but before I could even get that out, they were transferring me around. My husband had enough and called them and he got through to a gentleman. The guy was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. He told us he had an appointment for a few months down the road. After explaining the situation to the guy, he moved it 2-3 weeks from then. The gas shortage hit and my app was coming up. I wanted to call and verify they had the part and that I could be helped that day. I called and left the lady a message, talked to more people that kept transferring me. The last time I called, I got a hold of the lady I had been trying to reach. I told her my name and that I was calling to verify my appointment. she had this tone that was not pleasant. She knew who I was.This time around they got my car in and out in no time. Everything went smoothly. The customer service in this place could use a a lot of work.

That experienced sales people were courteous throughout the process. The only problem I have is with the financial person. I asked to see my numbers before I completely sign my paperwork. There was a optional charge which I was not asked for plus the final number was 45000 for a 31000 vehicle. I asked what is this and why is it so high. I asked to remove the optional charge. The financial person rewrote the contract.... amazingly the price dropped to 28000. I really should have stopped then to fax to my lawyer for review.

Do not go here on a trade in they offered me $800 put on my sheet condition rough did not even look at my truck so me knowing what I have I said thats crazy so I went straight across the street to the nissan had them give me a appraisal and they offered me $4,500 as a trade in value but what got me was I just purchased a vehicle from Southtown 2 months ago so I wanted to keep my business there but I will not be going there again has me wondering if I got a bad deal on the vehicle I purchased two months ago

My initial experience at this dealership for repairs a couple months ago was satisfactory, although I perceived they did not have a bug enough service department. This week, it took five calls over two days to finally get the service department to schedule a service appointment for a major recall. Appointment is three weeks out.

I have been getting my 2016 Hyundai Tuscon serviced from the dealership since 2015. I am the sole owner and I have been getting it serviced at the designated mileage recommended as well as the recommended mileage for oil change, etc on time. At 90,000 miles my transmission went out due to a recall on my models transmission. It was replaced free of charge. I am currently at 130,000 miles. I took it in for an oil change the beginning of May this year. On July 8th (this month) my vehicle began to make loud ticking noises. I pulled over in fear of the car stopping and called this dealership. I informed a representative in the service department what had happened and told him as of that day I began to see the oil light flickering off and on depending on the positioning of the car but had never come on officially. The representative informed me that I should stop to get the nearest oil change because I was probably out of oil. I asked him how could I be out of oil when I’m not due for my next oil change until 500-600 more miles? He said it may be burning oil. I said that’s strange. This has never happened before. So I took his advice stopped at the nearest station for an oil change. The mechanics there informed me the vehicle was out of oil and he asked me to look at all the debris and blackness coming out during the cleaning. I actually have video footage. It was disgusting!!! They changed the oil and the ticking did not stop. The mechanics informed me that it appeared a part had not been put back in place after the last oil change causing the oil to run out. They expressed extreme concern for the shape my car was in considering it was not yet time for my next oil change and it’s been in the dealership’s care the entire time. I had it towed to the dealership the next morning because Hyundai was closed that evening. My vehicle got there on July 9th, I explained to my representative via telephone what had happened and she informed me that they were slammed and would have to work my vehicle in next week sometime. I asked for a loaner vehicle and was told they do not have any loaners to give at this time. I called today (Friday, July 16th) after not hearing from anyone all week. I asked for the status of my vehicle. The representative informed me that my engine had oil in it but has gone out and they no longer make that particular engine I have so they are looking into the pricing of a rebuilt engine and that’s why they haven’t called me back. I was livid. I informed the representative AGAIN why my car had oil in it and the origin of the problem. She offered no solution. I asked her for the number to corporate to file a complaint. I have called customer care and put in my complaint. I was told I could use a 3rd party to obtain a rental car but the amount of reimbursement is unclear as it deemed case by case . I was advised my case would be looked into and that someone would reach out to me within the next 10 business days. I have been without a car for 7 days now without any resolution. I am seeking legal counsel to have this matter investigated. I’m very disappointed that I have trusted what I believed to be a good dealership to be left stranded with no answers or compensation. I will keep you all updated on how this unfolds.

Buyer beware! Dont say you werent warned from first hand experience here. See my other more detailed review on Yelp about Southtowne Hyundai. From the beginning in 2018 right after the purchase of my 2014 Sante Fe Sport with 31,000 miles, I have had trouble, and never did receive the treat you like family touch that was initially promised. My other car was breaking down after only one year from the $18,000 purchase from another car center, and was offered $8000 for trade in through Southtowne. I was losing money either way but never DREAMED I would step into a far greater issue with Hyundai. From the sugar-baby-honey sales guy who yelled at me over the phone for selling me the wrong part for a defunct A/C unit while out of town on my ONLY road trip shortly after purchase in this car visiting my dying grandmother across the country, to multiple issues with the battery, the lock system, and now, only 2.5 years later, with only 73,000 miles on a car well maintained, I suddenly have complete engine failure. I still owe $14,000 on the car. No warning, no check engine light, NOTHING. Not only has Southtowne not offered me any help, they also have a line up for 40 cars for 45 days for Hyundais that need engines replaced that could cost up to $11,000 because of supply and demand. Mine is a drop in the bucket of ALL years and models - myriads of people are having issues with Hyundai as well as other Hyundai dealerships scheduled full for engine replacements around the south and beyond. The service department honestly disclosed that the $1300 extended warranty package I bought through Southtowne could possibly not even cover this huge mess that Hyundai has put us in and in particular this dealership has stuck me with, and I am now paying off a car that I may have to sell in an auction for car parts. Right now I have turned the car over to the Toyota dealership I coasted into after it sputtered out in 5 oclock traffic. They are the ONLY ones offering to help me. Thanks Southtowne - even in 2018 there had to be SOME knowledge that Hyundai was having issues on dangerous engine encounters that date back to years prior to that current year. Consumer reports are proving that you have a serious issue on your hands with Hyundai. Some engines ignite on fire while drivers are on the road, bearings going back, oil being sucked dry quickly out of the engine with NO warning, and the list goes on ... so how is it that you STILL are selling these unpredictable cars to other unsuspecting car buyers? Right now I am having to buy ANOTHER car from a different dealership to get me by until this HUGE MESS is figured out. What an epic fail on every level! I will tell everyone I know about my experience with South Towne Hyundai. This is why people HATE car sales men and HATE car dealerships. Cars arent fail proof, but there was PLENTY of evidence for a dealership to know that cars breaking down from every year of production, to warranties possibly denying coverage, to the fact the original 100,000 power train warranty does not cover a 2nd buyer with DANGEROUS problems THIS hefty, that SouthTowne needs to shut the doors to Hyundai. If you cant fix them, if they can potentially cost a life, if they leave trusting buyers like me who were given a high recommendation initially because of Mr. Maizers touch of class, then why sell them? If you scar your own reputation with myriads of issues along the way, you become just like EVERY OTHER failing dealership around the country with low integrity levels of treatment. Thanks South Towne! I will return to my beloved Toyota brand and make sure I do YOUR job of protecting others by TELLING THEM what a profoundly failed experience I have had with you. NOTHING makes a single female car buyer feel more devalued than to be handled with a less than human reality check proving South Towne DOES NOT care about safety, your very life, nor accountability. Drove an hour and a half to buy a new Hyundai Palisade in May. Finished up with the transaction late and so had to drive another hour and a half to get the car detailed. My sales person said he would be available to explain the features of the car but was no where to be found. The service manager was kind enough to take care of the detail and education of the features. They lost my floor matts during the detail and so they had to order new ones. Brought my father to look at the Genesis GV80 and they didn’t have the model we needed.A day later my father went to another Hyundai dealer more local to us and bought a Genesis GV80.Found that our local dealer had much better pricing then Southtowne of Newnan. They charge thousands of dollars over MSRP. Was evidenced by the quote we got for the Genesis and the Palisade I recently purchased. Our local dealer charged MSRP and included insurance on the car to protect the exterior and interior. None of these features came with my Palisade.When I called the dealer and talked with a sales manager about paying too much for my Palisade over MSRP, he told me there was nothing he could do. Wasn’t willing to work with me to keep me as a valued customer.Wasn’t impressed with the service at all. Didn’t get much help from my sales person after the car was bought and I will never go back to do anymore business.

I found a vehicle online and tried multiple times to call, email and even filled out the automatic window that pops up requesting my contact info. I received several emails requesting contact info which I provided and no one followed up with a call. When I finally got through to a sales person he was very dismissive and rude. I asked about delivery of the vehicle to a location one hour from the dealership and he replied that it was out of their delivery range. What car dealer doesn’t deliver to an address 70 miles away??? Seems crazy to me to lose a sale like that.

I received an instant cash offer on KBB.com to purchase my electric vehicle. Within minutes, I was contacted by a sales person from Southtowne Hyundai of Newnan saying the manager had authorized them to pay more than the KBB cash offer, because they were in desperate need of used cars. I told the sales person when I would be there, and I arrived only to be told that the manager had left for the evening and nothing could be done that day. A wasted trip for nothing! The next morning I was contacted again, and they offered me $300 less than the KBB offer, and wanted me to include a $550 Level 2 charger with the car for the same price! They told me it wouldnt be right for me to sell them the car without it (even though it comes with a Level 1 charger). So much for keeping their word! After some negotiating they eventually came up on the offer, but then said when I brought the car in, they would not cut me a check until the following week. So in other words, I was going to leave my car with them, with a clean title signed over to them, with the promise of a check in the mail?? No thank you!! Will never do business with them in the future.

I was very happy with the service I received yesterday my service person was very polite and walk me through all details of what I needed done how much it was to cost me even suggested to do all the work little by little that I could afford he was very professional whats a pushy just suggestions of how important it was for me to take care of my car I will always come to this service center because of his concern for the upkeep of my car I have never experienced this at a Hyundai Ive been to Riverdale and Ive been to Thornton Road and you cant have a better person every customer service this is what customer service is all about I dont know his name but he said in the first seat because all he did was bring me in explain everything to me took my keys and walk me to the service center where I can be seated and once he was finished I was happy so thank you and I will be back to continue the service is needed on my car all because of the great customer service I experienced yesterday stay safe and if I could have gave in you 10 points I would have done that

I bought a 08 Honda Odyssey from these guys last month and Damian Clark, the salesman, told me they had just installed brand new tires and changed all the fluids as well as the brakes before I purchased the vehicle. The tire light came on so I started to check the tire pressure and found that the tires were weather checked and have hairline cracks in them and that they aren’t even all the same brand tire. After that, the maintenance light came on telling me it’s time to change the oil so I put the van on ramps only to find oil all over the drain pan from leaking in multiple locations. Damian told me the car went through a 100 and something check list but here I am with the dealer tag still on and all these problems have come to surface. I have been trying to get any answers from them for the last week and everytime to talk to one guy he wants to redirect you to the next guy that just lets it go to voicemail and doesn’t return your call. I thought I would buy my car through a dealer to avoid these types of problems but it’s obvious this place is just as slimy as the rest. I absolutely do not recommend buying your vehicles from here.***Edit- After speaking to you on the phone and you saying yourself the van goes through a series of safety checks before it is deemed safe to drive on the road makes it so obvious y’all don’t actually care about anything but the sale. I have cracks in my tires that I sent you pictures of that obviously didn’t just appear in the time I’ve had the vehicle. I was told the vehicle had new tires put on by your dealership and thought this would be a safe family van, apparently not. Thanks Southtowne Hyundai for being such a shady experience for me and thanks for all of the extra expense on top of buying a car. You guys truly suck and after reading through all of your reviews and responses only proves even more how slimy you guys are.

I absolutely love Southtown Hyundai of Newnan and I have been coming here for years. I used to live in Fairburn. However, I moved to Gwinnett County last year. I drive from Gwinnett County just to get my car serviced here because the advisors are always honest and professional. Yesterday, I thought that I needed additional services. They checked my car out, and were like “no you don’t need that” as they explained and shown me why. The other Hyundai dealership that I used closer to my home were dishonest and informed me of services that I have already had performed and didn’t need. I will continue to use Southtowne Hyundai as they keep my car performing well without any issues. My car is six years old and I will continue to come here for the time that I have this car, 2015 Hyundai Azera.

Ok this is an update about another experience with Southtowne Hyundai of Newnan:I’ve had my car since April 19th of this year, so the service department treated me terrible, that I was sent to Southtowne Buick for my services.. only to find out that my car needed a new battery.So now the problem is my tag situation, I’ve never received my paperwork for my tag in the mail. I’ve been calling, and leaving voicemails, I’ve spoken to quite a bit of people too, still nobody could help me. I’ve been calling ever since I’ve got my temporary tag extension. Still no one could call me back or even attempted to call me back about my tag situation(communication). I’ve called every day multiple times. People say they would look into it and call me back, and never did. Fast forward to today( July 7th 2021) I had to take off work and drive from Morrow to Newnan just for some type of communication. I was told that bank had some trouble with the previous owner so they’re having problems with me getting a tag. The temporary tag that got extended, expired 7-3-21. All I’ve been asking is for better communication skills, I stated it at the service center and I stated to everyone who I’ve spoke with. I’ve paid two car notes already for me not to have a valid tag, and for a sticker to be left on my car about my tag. Thanks a lotI bought a car from here a month and six days ago, the second week my car wouldn’t start it said theft deterrent system. I didn’t know what that meant so I called and they stated when the car thinks it’s getting stolen it goes into that mode, I said o ok. So then it started happening more frequently, my car wouldn’t start and the battery went into power saving mode. (It stays in theft mode for over 10 minutes. So I call and made an appointment to get it serviced. I live almost an hour away, so when I get up there, they didn’t even know I had an appointment. He had to call around and asked who made the appointment. Then comes to me and tell me that I would need to leave my car there for a day or so and they don’t have any loaner cars for me to use. I told him the lady that I spoken to with on the phone didn’t communicate that with me at all, and he just shrugged it off. Then I speak with the manager and he basically tell me the same thing. O did I forget to mention it went into theft mode when I was trying to start my car to be on the way there. So I left, and was furious, so I called to talk to someone higher than them, and did. So then they called me back and stated that Chevrolet can squeeze me in, when I was almost home and stuck in traffic. So it took for me to have to call the manager over SouthTowne for you guys to come up with a solution? But when I was there you guys couldn’t offer me any type of service for my car. Moral of the story, I’m still driving a 2018 Chevrolet Impala that goes into theft mode, every other day. Very poor service and communication.
