Customers who continue shopping here will eventually see the true colors of this store and its workers. My warning: Avoid this place at all costs--if youre used to buying things quickly and painlessly with your CC or with Apple Pay or if you dont remember your PIN- AVOID THIS PLACE. The florist (male, in his 50s) was incredibly rude. He insisted that my credit card had a pin number even when it does not and kept pressing me to put in my pin number. He blamed me for the card machine not working. (Ive never seen such horrible customer service, and back when I worked in service - even when I had a bad day - I would never be condescending or mean-spirited to a customer.) Do not buy flowers from them; their flowers are extremely overpriced (even for NYC) and the service is horrible. They lack the essence of human decency, which is why they deserve such a review.Im surprised that this place is still in business. If youve had a similar experience, I suggest boycotting and finding somewhere better to eat or buy flowers from (which would be any store within 20 feet). (I was later told that this place has a notoriously bad rep for folks who live nearby—many people have avoided this place for years b/c of customer service and poor customer treatment.)
If you are looking for a variety of food buffet, you can try it- not costly
Went it for their early bird breakfast special. Friendly greeting upon arrival and the staff was prompt about taking and completing orders. Very pleasant experience.
Its okay, in other words dont settle for less. Theyre not as consistent as you would like them to be, but theyre convenient.
Local institution - always a solid place for breakfast or lunch. It’s been newly renovated and let me say it’s so much nicer and the variety of offerings has improved a lot. I know I won’t be tempted to go across the street to another deli again. Don’t go across- you’ll be disappointed.
They charge you $2.50 for an Arizona that cost $1.00 everywhere else. Abusive and inconsiderate prices.
The Food Market located at 765 Second Avenue is a nice little neighborhood joint even though it is in Midtown Manhattan. The place is clean, tidy and neat. I usually go into the store after having lunch with my sister and mother at The Capital Grille on East 42nd Street. They have a huge variety of drinks that me and my mother likes. The staff is quite friendly and helpful
I went to this place today and I am looking for someone who paid $1 for me. I am a tourist in NYC, USA so I dont get used to US dollars. When I made a payment buying a bottle of water, my brain was struggling to get US cash out from my wallet then the man behind me paid $1 for me and I tried to give him back because I dont like owing anything from other people. However, hes gone. I dont know his name or any other contacts. If anyone knows him, please reply my review. Thank you. Happy Valentines day :)
Awesome place. Super friendly staff. Perfect while waiting for grand central to open.
We liked this place. Good salad bar and great bagels. Friendly staff and always open when you need it.Has a B food rating but we didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.Be aware, they do get construction workers in there who have finished night shifts and some of them sit there getting quite intoxicated and falling asleep etc.
Really great neighborhood place. Used the salad bar several times, and the sandwiches frankly bordered on amazing (thats why I never sampled the hot selection). Attentive personnel make this a friendly island in otherwise impersonal highrise sea
Its the best deli food in NYC! Try the dolma and the spring roll. Theyre delicious!!!
Very nice service. A lot of choices
They got a C sanitary rating from NYC but removed the rating from their window after a few days. Very bad for a place that sells raw food in their salad bar.
Good food. Very nice staff, not very expensive
Very unpleasant and rude attendant in flowers section
Decent place if you are in a hurry or dont know anywhere around. Its quite overpriced and food is OK if you want to eat right away. You can get most of the same stuff at Gristedes across the road for less money.
Very nice food store
Another place that is interesting and inviting
