The store that violates public health Mask rules. If they are so slack on that, i wonder what other health rules are ignoredStaff and customers go without masks, no clear sign about the Rules, which in New York require a Mask.

Ive been a customer since 2007 (live across the street). This little store has seen rough times--I still remember the shrine set up for an employee that was killed a decade or so ago. And Key Foods just keeps going. The staff are hardworking and friendly in that NYC way. One employee whom I see there regularly gently grabbed my arm, and turned me back to the self-checkout register as I nearly walked away from my $20 cashback bill hanging out of the machine (oops). During COVID they had to set up occupancy limits, and we had lines, but they always managed it well.Theyre my neighborhood store.

Very conveniently situated supermarket which has mostly everything we need. Opens early and closes late which we love in this amazing neighborhood! The flowers are a great touch and always brings smiles before walking into the store. Cheesecake variety is amazing! I even saw cheesecakes from Cheesecake factory! Thank you for your services!

Variety of products. Cheap & great quality. A great place to save your money. If something is out of stock, you can get a rain check for the sale price, which expires in 60 days. Everything is fresh here.

Very busy, well stocked, clean and well staffed. Decades old, low key, impressively well-staffed, well-trained and well managed local supermarket. this is an ordinary, plain family residential neighborhood supermarket (common household foods and goods, a standard lower budget market, NOT your higher end, gourmet, or imported goods type of fancy). Best to use self service machines at peak times, but they still have full service cashier lines too. Produce aisle sometimes crowded, but beautifully organized and maintained and worth coming back to when less crowded.In a neighborhood that has gotten extremely competitive in recent decades, it has remained relevant against various nearby higher end and more trendy.

Great selection of goods I just wish that the staff were a little more friendly.

This is my favorite Key Food ever. They have a decent and versatile selection of foods. Its super clean and organized. Im probably going back tonight. Im definitely there more often now that Im living in the neighborhood again.

There is a wide aray of items. The store is kept clean and has a very mature atmosphere. The main and only drawback I see is the prices are a bit steep compared to other stores nearby. Personally youd be better off visiting multiple stores which have cheaper prices then getting them all at one store for higher prices

If Key Food employees DO NOT CARE, no amount of significant upgrading will make a difference! Employees are RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to customers!!! There are other supermarkets nearby where you can shop that care about their customers.The arrival of Wegmans at Astor Place cannot come soon enough!

I went early it was empty. The meat was being stocked early. Nice variety but missing a few items. Sales are basic wouldnt go too far out my neighborhood for the deals.

Excellent supermarket that is extremely clean and adheres to COVID-19 safety measures. Fully stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables. Aisles are wide and clean products easily marked and priced correctly. Highly recommend.

Despite being a few blocks further than our local, this has quickly become our favorite grocery store. 24 hours, amazing selection, and clean space. They have about 9 self checkout registers, or two small checkout lanes. All of the house deli products are great. Swing by late, or real early and the space is all yours.

Good spot for everything in your grocery list. Stuff is fresh. Needs a serious renovation however.

Just like any Key Foods youll go to in the city. Its busy at times but the fact that its 24/7 is a huge perk for late night snack runs or beer needs. There are often beggars outside the entrance, its up to you whether you contribute to them or not.

I regularly shop at Key Food Supermarket on Avenue A, and I am always satisfied with the selection of food and beverages there.

This supermarket offers affordable products from raw to dry products. I had a great time having my groceries here. Thanks a lot!

Terrible supermarket! The floors are always sticky... Theres never anyone to help! The girls at the cashier all look like they have been told they will never see their families again! Prices are outrageous! The owner stalks customers like theyre stealing! WORSE SUPERMARKET IN BENSONHURST!

I love it here. Very narrow isles but very friendly workers. It is usually crowded in there so hope you have no proximity of space. Lol

Decent selection... Some vegan food. A little weak on produce.Unfortunately the cashiers are not shielded by a plastic protector. They seem a little nervous, understandably.Prices were hit or miss. Sometimes good value, sometimes you have to overpay (or wait until you go to another store).

It has getting very expensive to shop there.

First of all their prices - which some people consider good in the East Village /Alphabet City are completely inflated & take full advantage of customers who have no transportation to more reasonably priced stores.Their customer service varies dramatically depending on who is working.Today I rented a carpet cleaner for my niece. I left to go home to Yonkers. She tried to use the machine which did not work & then went to return it - making the request for a refund optional. They literally refused to take back the machine because she didnt have the paper copy of the receipt ( I had photographed it and emailed it to her so they could view or print) & then they refused to talk to me on the phone 3x. They also insisted she needed a pink copy of the receipt - which I was never given - I had a yellow one. The clerk didnt believe her. I finally had my niece put me on speaker & by that time I was beyond furious that the manager would not speak to me & that every thing the clerk asserted was wrong.I found myself screaming so loud that my head hurt - something I have not done in a very long time. They were obviously treating my niece like sh*t because of her age.They refused to listen/hear us & made two incorrect assumptions that they would not waiver from no matter how many times we told them that they were wrong. They kept refusing to take the machine back because they thought we wanted a refund which I told them (over speaker) multiple times we did not want. Secondly they assumed the machine was late & that it was supposed to have been returned early in the day - when I had not even rented it until 3 pm in the afternoon & my niece was returning it by 8 pm.I can not even express how insane & infuriating this experience was. It is exactly the kind of thing you would never experience in a well off community - only people in low income areas are subjected to this kind of interogation & negative assumptions. I lived in the Bronx for twenty years & am still recovering from this kind of mistreatment.I am somewhat embrassed for totally losing it but I am even more appalled by how the manager behaved.

Train your staff better

This only gets 4 stars because its convenient. Be careful for the sales. Oftentimes you can buy a different brand cheaper. Meats generally good. I but my produce at the fruit stand. Better quality and cheaper.

Good supermarket for your big brand essentials. Produce selection is always poor so wouldnt recommend that from here. Otherwise, if youre looking for your name brand items and a reasonable price and cant find it at any of the fancy boutique groceries in the area, this is your place.

Need to establish a better relationship and line of communication with your customers. Listen to the line of customers who help improve. Customers who keep everyone in mind. You will make more of and name with using this information.YOU CATCH MORE BEES WITH HONEY.

Kinda seedy. Great price on most things. Good selection of milk, not so much so for yogurt. I do rather go somewhere else if possible but you know how things go. Pretty convenient. Good selection of beer. Deli is under rated. Has a cult following.

Its a solid grocery store. If youre looking for it to be whole foods go elsewhere. But its relatively big and the line has never been more than two or three people deep for me. At peak times, Im sure it could be busier. I liked the NY strips I got there and everything else.

Pretty reliable for the neighborhood and decent selections. Prices are also reasonable. The only thing I dont like is that they want to use self-checkout, but Im almost certain it doesnt take cash. If you want to pay with cash, then this place is a bit of a hassle.

Whenever I visit the LES thats is where I shop...also pick up flowers for my wonderful aunt.

Found what I was looking for, just some goat cheese, organic milk, crabbies ginger beer, & of course cant forget chips & ice cream (Hagen-Dazs) pecan, absolutely delish!!

This Key food store is in a very good place . lot of family depends on this store. All of the produce is fresh and the worker are really nice and polite.

Solid neighborhood grocery store. Lines can get extremely long and slow, so plan accordingly - however, if you hit the timing right it is a very pleasant experience with friendly staff and a selection of everything youd need. Sales are found throughout the store and the produce quality is appropriate for the price youre paying

My closest supermarket...and a handy go-to. Generally good fresh fruits and veggies. Their fish selection is small but decent quality. However their beef selection is pitiful...don’t go here if you want a nice steak. Deli staff are helpful, but super inefficient and most don’t seem to know what they’re doing. The have a decent selection of natural and vegan/organic/GF stuff which I’ll credit them for.Self checkout is the rule of the day...and super inefficient as you have to let it weigh each individual thing before scanning the next. It often gets caught up and confused despite the new registers.I’ll keep coming here anyhow. If you found this review helpful, please thumbs-up :)

Great selection but the deli staff needs work.

They had sale on muscle milk 😲 which I rarely see and cashier was helpful when I asked if the big entermanns 🍩 were on sale and not just the small ones

This is my favorite grocery store. The produce is very reasonable. They have this 10 dumplings for $5 deal that I love. Its a union shop, which is rare in this day and age, but very important.

I enjoy shopping at this location because of the 24 hours. The store is always kept clean fully stock in the staff is very friendly. I Often visit overnight The cashier Michelle is always friendly and making suggestions, But the whole Staff is very professional

A VERY well stocked store. I go at night when its quiet and lightly populated, so my shopping experience is always quick. The produce is good and fresh and the meat section is well-supplied. The staff is efficient and helpful. The store basically has everything you would want, so you just keep an eye on the sales. Many of the items are quite good buys if you catch the right bargain. The non sales items are where they get you. Those prices are average or above average, sorry. However, if you want to master the art of circular interpretation, over the course of a month, you can do pretty well.

Best selection in neighborhood and decent pricing, deli is great helpful and clean, good produce selection and fresh . Meat section could be larger and is a little steep but it’s nyc so what do you expect? Over all is 3.5 to 4 stars but Whole Foods I’d only rate at 4 stars

Its open 24 hours, the deli dont start shutting down til 12midnight. What more could you ask for.

Lots of tasty treats. A well selected choice of very fine artisan cured meats and cheeses. All manner of quality groceries. Beautiful cut flower bouquets.

I tried this supermarket because I was told it was a sister to the Associated supermarket that was on 14th Street and had just closed. Keyfood is very much like the Associated in we very way. Pricing is good and every other aspects the same including to he crowded aisles.

Supermarket open 24 hours a day. Are you starving in the middle of the night? Or having a craving for some unusual food? Or just milk and cookies or ice cream? This is the place for you. A supermarket opened 24 hours a day, every day. Great if you forgot lunch for tomorrow. Not expensive. Service is good.

Great neighborhood grocery store. Nice variety of items. For certain (mom use to serve this) items, I walk the extra 10 blocks, because I can get it here. 👍🏽
