Girls were so very sweet and nice. Small small store. Cute items and well stocked. They have a huge build a bear statue in statue of liberty clothes. Only way to get a pick is from inside and you get the back of her. We tried through the window but too shiny. Only thing I would change is having the bear more easily placed to take photos.

Friendly staff, it was the guy’s first day and he did great. I love that they all have bears on their backs, an employee told me that it was their practice bear which I thought was cute 😭

Had an amazing time building Scorbunny with my partner. Porsha and Jade was so helpful . Not to mention Kristen who was so helpful and knows her Pokémon stuff. Will visit again and again and again and again.

Great place for the kids to pick up a stuff animal friend. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There are so many awesome accessories and clothes to choose from. The current sale is fantastic! I definitely recommend this place to get something for yourself or a gift idea!

Ive gone here multiple times with my girlfriend and its great. The staff is nice and the ones that tend to be there the most remember us weve gotten so many bears here. Kinda wish I could work here. :)

My daughter got a bear was a little pricey but she dressed her and she named her . So cute oh my God. They were very nice to us in there .I am sorry I didnt get a bear with my voice in there for her . But Gods willing Xmas I will, I want to take a picture but she is treating her bear like a real baby and wants no one to touch it 🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆 seriously she is. Ok I did any way, would not post her baby name

Staff is very helpful, lots of variety, Disney and Crayola Bears. Great experience for the family. Just keep in mind that the Teddy Bears and Accessories add up Quickly. Be prepared to spend some money.

Very nice workers, everyone was very kind and helpful/explanatory. Me and my girlfriend got 3 bears and still keep them close as keepsakes and memory savers. They even helped us record our personal messages to put inside the bears, asking questions all the way up to how much we would like the bears stuffed, very attentive and caring. Only bad thing was sometimes it got noisy but that is out of control due to it being in the center of Manhattan.-Kaden

I love this place. 😍 First time visited with my family and my nephews and nieces was so excited. Staff was extremely friendly and they were great with the kids. They help u stuff your own bear and u can put a heart inside, a voice, and a specific smell! I loved the place so much I bought myself a pikachu teddy bear! ⚡ As a separate charge u can buy your bear clothes, shoes and accessories. Before u go to the cashier, be sure to stop by the touchscreen computer to give your bear a name. For being located in New York 🏙 it wasnt as busy as I expected and didnt take as long either. So if u want to make a memorable experience, be sure to stop by build a bear with your little ones! 😋💖

We went into get a Captain America bear for my nephew we got great customer service and Malik went above for us recording a message so it sounded more like Captain America cant wait for my nephew to get it.

Awesome store. Felt like I was a kid all over again. I got two teddies. The staff were extremely cheerful, helpful and prompt. Will visit again for sure.

Extremely busy. Understandable bc of the location. Stood in line 30 mins to buy 4 pxs of merchandise when it was finally my trun to be waited on, ghe cashier stops and turns around to help an employee find a price. When I finally paid I asked for a bad and was told they have none. When the cashier asked another employee, she looked at me and said yhere a plastic bag ban. I said im yall dont have plastic bags anyway yall have paper and boxes. At which I was told I could but a 95 cent box or a $6 reusable bag. I had 4 smaller items and no bag! Thats irresponsible and careless that yall dont supply any free bags. Not everyone who come to your store will be making a bear and buying the box.

NICE, BRIGHT, CLEAN AND ENOUGH TO MAKE THE SMALL KID IN YOU BUY MORE THAN WHAT YOU NEED. THERE WAS A SPECIAL ON SELECTED ITEMS. BUY 1 GET THE OTHER AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE.

I went there with my boyfriend and they charged us 8 dollars for the voice buttons, after one hour of buying my bear the voice button stopped working. Also, they had ran out of the signature build-a-bear boxes and made us pay for alternative bags:/. My boyfriend and I definitely left disappointed and unsatisfied with this build-a-bear experience.

Fun and exiting place to bring kids for their birthdays, or just for fun, they get to build their own pet, but not only that, they also get a chance to customize what their new pet would wear, but also you are able to make a birth certificate for your pet, which would include your new pets name and their fate of birth. Overall all staff members are really helpful, and at this place not only kids can be kids, but also adults can be kids, since it doesnt matter how old you are, but you can always create your own pet.

First time in a build-a-bear.We loved it. My wife and I went on a long trip without our 2 year old daughter for the first time, so to say we missed her would be a great understatement.We came here to get her something from our trip to let her know we were thinking of her. It was a fantastic choice.First off, the whole idea of Build-A-Bear is adorable. They put a heart inside the bear, with the childs name, they allow you to customize the bear with its clothes, add scents, add customized voices (i thought this was weird.. But my wife was into it) etc.Second, this location in particular was awesome! They had countless NYC themed options and multiple different directions you could go. The kid who helped us (I cant remember his name! Ugh!) was so sweet. He truly enjoyed his job and you could tell he loved making little kids happy.Highly, Highly recommend this particular location.

Excellent customer service! I was being very indecisive when I was choosing which animal to stuff. The people there were so patient with me and they helped me through the whole process of stuffing the bear and finding the bear accessories. Really great and friendly environment!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They sang a special build a bear happy birthday song to my 8 year old girl. She got the birthday bear (which is the price of however old you are so $8 for her) and another customized bear. She enjoyed every moment of picking a bear stuffing it(they also made that part special) dressing it and getting a birth certificate. She was happy therefore i was happy. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Friendly employees and a very bright and happy shop! I went to build a bear a lot as a young child and I still have 2 in very good condition from 13 years ago (Im still a kid though haha). But I lost 4 other build a bears, and I figured Id get a new one.Heres my new build a bear! I havent gone in so long but its still the same as years ago. Its good fun even now.

I dont think I will ever go back there. Their customer service is the worst that I have seen. It feels like the people at this location are there to collect a paycheck and thats it.

I have been to this location 3 times and each time I observed the same thing, there was one employee being exceptional and the rest of the staff just standing around chit chatting. Today Karina rang my gift card purchase and she was awesome! In the meantime a line was growing - while 3 employees stood behind the counter doing nothing! The previous time Michelle took care of me and was also awesome ...the rest of the staff was so so. For that reason I gave you give them 4 stars.

I liked it. Workers werent really attentive. A coworker told me about the place and how they do the Bear for the Age on the childs Birthday but The Happy Birthday, the things that were supposed to Come along with it were half done and with little effort. But my daughter was Happy and thats really all that matters

My 5 yr old had a blast. Eileen was so sweet and patient with, we felt well taken care of. Sarah was such sweety as well. Appreciated it ladies. My baby felt very happy and special.

Very small compared to Roosevelt Field Mall the staff at thus location are not friendly or helpful didnt even have a wide variery of bears to choose from and they had limited stock in everything. Honestly was not pleased at new york city location. I would recomend you go to the workshops out of the city. It was very surprising as this was the forest build a bear I went to and the customers wasnt friendly helpful or showed interest in their customers. The worst is asking them to check something for you cause clearly if the store is partially busy all they see Is the money they would be making and not paying attention to the customer needs and preferences.

I purchased two Troll dolls at Build a Bear. Then I waited on line. When it was my turn I was asked to step on a pedal on the floor. I was asked to choose a heart and kiss it and make a wish. Then I was asked to hug them. It was interesting and I understood why my granddaughter loves build a bear. I recommend that parents and grandparents take their children and grandchildren to build a bear.

The store was clean and tidy. The associates were all kind and quick to help us.

Took my niece here for her birthday she love it! The different clothing’s and designs you can choose from is mind blowing !

We were in town for a long weekend, and had never been to Build-A- Bear but thought it might be a fun memory while in NYC. Our kids LOVED it! The store was well organized (considering how much traffic and how many kids tear through it in a day, Im sure) and clean, and the staff was very helpful. Eyisha I believe helped our two and three-year-olds stuff their bears and was simply amazing with them. Wed been in the car since 4am, six hour road trip, all over the city with no naps and it was about a half hour before they closed, so the over stimulation from the day couldve gone real bad real quick lol. She was super sweet and got them involved and they loved it! Even though we forgot to use the two coupons we had, it was well worth it!

Quite a small store. My little one had fun selecting a bear. Lots of accessories for sale! Small area at the back for parties. Visited on a week day small queue for both the stuffing and paying.Bears where placing descending order of price.

Took my youngest son for his 1st time. He loved it. We picked the Birthday bear for his birthday. Love that they have the pay your age during your birthday month for that spefic bear.

Who doesn’t like teddy bears? So many possibilities. Yes the price is a bit more than a pre made bear but reasonable. I wasn’t pressured and They even throw birthday parties.

Inevitably, we were here with our 2 boys for a birthday party. The bears/animals are actually pretty fun to design but I could not justify their costs. The design process was rather tedious. No bathroom access for the kids and only a small 10 by 10 roped off area was ok.

Had my daughter 5th birthday party there great experience and good prices.

You have alot of fun and you can get deals pick out your bear your cloth for bears pick out wings glasses underwear whatever you want for your bear its your chose to do anything

Always a pleasure however I gave them a three because the young lady that rang me up stuffed three bears and an outfit in one shopping bag. Before I left I remembered they were gifts and asked why they werent put into boxes.I must admit it was raining so maybe thats why. Another young lady folded three boxes and put them in a shopping bag for me.

6 year old granddaughter loved it. Not a rip off at all, a really nice stuffed animal, with clothes, shoes and a knapsack to carry for an hour of fun less than $60

Five stars for the employees who are super nice, but you have to stand in line twice: once to stuff the bear, then again to pay. Plan on being here for 1 hour AFTER you select your bear and accessories. :(

Came here with a very large group. The experience was fantastic! Every employee was involved and helped, they kept things moving along and made every kids bear feel special. They have tons of options to chose from, the type of bear you want to what its style will be. It can get very crowded during holiday and tourist season though.

Very nice an helphfull people price a bit high but its new york plz start shipping i found you like 3 year ago when i was in Afghanistan if you make a online makerer with sound effect it would be nice for dads and moms on the warzone

Great place to take young kids. So fun and interactive. Downside is that its hard not to spend a ton of money there.
