Customer Service is disaster. I pre-ordered the earrings back in May 2021, they charged me $4300 and told me the price will go up the next day. Its been five months, and the price hasnt change. I understand that we have to be placed on waiting list for some of the famous items, but I called several times want to get the refund, they never helped. Really disappointed, and will never purchase items in this store. (Not sure if the customer services are disaster for this brand or only this store.)
I had a wonderful experience with them. The staff were friendly and respectful. Highly recommended
Very nice staff that sits down w/ you and spends time to answer questions/try things on. Makes you feel welcome and doesn’t rush you out if you’re just looking around.
Whole bunch of sales people sitting around and they told us to come back in 3 hours when they had someone available to help us. Really, what do they think they are selling?? Much better service in Americana Manhasset.
I visited specifically to see items in the alhambra collection. I was directed to the mezzanine and the sales person behind the case that features a number of items in the alhambra collection walked away and didnt return. There were a lot of clients on the first floor and the store staff were busy. I doubt I will ever return.
A team of well qualified and exceptional people who are problem solvers. They handle customer issues and concerns seriously. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for jewelry that is made traditionally.
Exceptional staff with noted distinction in finding rare pieces that are really well conceived investments. I prefer the NYC 5th Avenue location because the staff has always exceeded my expectations.
Incredibly rude. Never met a sales act like she is the god and customer is some garbage.Went to the store looking for jewelry for myself. When I ask is there more upstairs,She said thats not suitable for you. Excuse me?!Went to other luxury stores all over the world,Harry Winston, graff, bulgari,Cartier, Hermes never met anything even close tothis. Van cleef clearly you gotta some serious employee training to do.
Unprofessional. Unpleasant experience at the 5th ave location. I live in the area and stopped by to check on the status of a bracelet that Im waiting to purchase. The bracelet and color that I want is completely sold out so my husband had put a deposit down before Christmas to be in the waiting list. Our sale associate was not in that day so this Asian lady helped me instead (Im also Asian) Immediately she was very dismissive, not friendly. I went on to explained to her that we had put down a deposit and just wanted to check on the status as to when the bracelet will be available. Also I wanted to make sure that they know what I want since the copy of the deposit receipt did not have any sort of descriptions. Her response was Oh, we dont put any descriptions since you didnt purchase the item yet. Also we are not going to call you for such a little thing. We have so many people on the waiting list and you only put a thousand dollars down so is not a big number, the bracelet cost more She also went on to give me lecture as to why theres no description and instead of using the word deposit, they use the word remittance on the receipt so it sounds fancier. Ive never dealt with a sales associate at a boutique such as Van Cleef thats so degrading and condescending. I mean who does she think she is?! Yes, I am aware that $1k is not a lot because I can easily blow that on a pair of shoes. My meals at Eleven Madison and Le Bernardin cost more than that. You want better service? Go to the one at Hudson Yards, been there before and the associates are lovely and know exactly how to talk to their clients, big or small. The way it should be.
Nice merchandise, dont buy from Gigi (the one with the dyed jet black thinning hair).
I casually wondered in the store a few years back . I saw a piece in a catalog and felt very intrigued . The sale associate who greeted us was Yvan K . Little did I know I would for ever become a customer .The pieces and workmanship are magnificent and Yvan was the nicest, caring and knowledge associate . He has not only become my go to professional for VCA but also someone whose opinion and expertise I value highly . I believe the experience and the sales associate are just as important as the piece you’re buying .Every time I look at one of my VCA pieces I think of my experience and it brings a smile to my face . If you’re looking for the complete package go see Yvan . He will take good care of you.
Lovely jewelries
Great service and attention. The wife loves it
Happy with Jewelry, but disappointed with a service. The fact that I wasn’t offered a champagne of coffee is fine, but it made me feel uncomfortable that Nicholas was keep talking to other clerks about different customers. I wanted to see some more pieces, but I felt very uncomfortable and got an impression that he wanted me to just buy it and leave. I asked him some questions, but wasn’t answered correctly, perhaps he wasn’t listening? After I paid for the piece I double-checked and he said something different, and said the refund is only possible with store credit. His tone was sounding very annoyed as well. I don’t know if it was because I am not a Caucasian, or I didn’t dress up, or I came in alone? But not an experience I would want when I spent 2k+ on jewelry, and less than 10 minutes in the store.
Love this grand opera perfume, vanilla Orchid. My signature perfume for many years! Sweet soft scent, with vanilla and light musk layers
Came here with my wife to look at a specific necklace for her . As soon as we entered I saw a row of associates staring us down . I felt like a deer among a family of hungry wolves . My wife asked to see this necklace that she had been eyeing out for a while . While waiting to see the piece the associate Nicholas started to talk to my wife . I found his demeanor to be very rude and condescending and borderline insulting. He just would not stop talking and allowing us to look at this piece. As we are a bilingual couple, my wife told me how uncomfortable she felt in a diff language and we had to leave . Never felt like this while shopping . Uncomfortable atmosphere, snobby sales reps and just plain poor customer service .
Prior to arriving, I already had in mind what I wanted to purchase and went in with the goal to make the piece my own. I stepped in, and there was a row of associates who stared me down before approaching me. I was a bit irritated because I didnt get service until I began to walk around for a few minutes.I asked to be shown to the Alhambra collection, and was quickly pointed upstairs. The SA followed me upstairs, and I told her what I wanted to see. Within less than a couple minutes of viewing the pieces, I told her I wanted to make a purchase. She seemed quite surprised probably because she thought I looked young and wasnt in to make a serious purchase. During the process of ringing up my order, I wasnt served a single beverage or plate of bites. Everyone else sitting at one of the tables were all served champagne and a plate of bites. I was appalled and taken aback at the service to me. When she counted the money I had given to her, she had an argument and exuded attitude with her fellow colleague, which was completely unprofessional. The SA had a snotty aura and acted like she was superior. If she really were, then why was she serving me?! I left with such a bitter taste in my mouth. When I was leaving, another worker offered me a chocolate truffle, which was better than nothing after dropping a few thousand dollars at the store. After thinking it threw, the behavior of the SA and other SAs in the store really pissed me off. Im on my way to return that piece!
Excellent
BeautifulStunningRemoldedVery welcomingBreathtaking jewels and service/ staff
They’re very kindly beautifully i love this place
Not professional, they judge customers from their looks. maybe had I walked in with fur coat, chanel bag, huge diamond ring I would have received a more dedicated treatment. ended up purchasing my jewel at tiffanys instead
I adore this brand, their jewelry has quality no other store has!
The 5th Ave flagship store is the worst. Snobbish and racist. The commented under this review saying they will contact me. But after I provided the email, they havent responded ever since.I purchased a necklace from the 5th ave boutique, but left with shock and unsatisfactory. The sales person was ridiculously racist and rude. As soon as he found out we didnt intend to buy diamond rings, he just stopped talking to us. He also said some inappropriate jokes based on our cultural background. Arrogant, snobbish, and rude.I could also provide the name of the sales person if needed. The sales person also implied to the assistant who brought us snacks and water not to bring the little gifts to us. I went to Tiffany, Harry Winston, and Cartier for the rings, but never received this kind of service and treatment. As the flagship store, it is unfortunate to have such a sales representative there to ruin the reputation and image of VCA.After this review, I saw other peoples reviews and agreed with most of them. It seems they are pretty consistent in terms of sales persons performance. If necessary, a major media coverage should be written to publicize it.
VCA can be a little uptight...unless you find the right person to work with. It all depends on who you interact with at this boutique. The jewelry speaks for itself.
I felt very inferior while I was in the store. Not a single SA greeted my girlfriend and myself. I have an item in mind that I was looking for, but I guess I must look rich to get any kind of attention in this place.
Bond Lux Brokerz
Bad service, disappointing experience. Our appointment is 12pm but the sales kept us waiting at least 15 mins. And the service after appt is also not diligent.
Attentive service and wonderful collection in par with other European branches
Im just engoying reading all these reviews, really. Shame on Van Cleef. And its New York, nowadays!
Amazing service!!!! Just wow!!
Breathtaking jewelry!
Very shinning beautiful
Horrible employees
Heheheheheh get your $$$$ ready!
Not shockingly, the service here is perfect. As is the interior. More like going to a museum.
Poor service
A good perfume, perhaps it should contain more strong notes of bergamot and pepper to maintain the duration longer and for this I dont give it 5 stars. Tried and as a perfume for every day it is excellent and also as a value for money. No
About 30% cheaper than Japan
