Leonidas is one of my favorite chocolates. That’s said! However, I had better Leonidas chocolate and coffee from other locations. This location here is lack of welcoming. It is clean and low key so I would go back if I want some Leonidas!!!

Excellent chocolates with assistance from knowledgeable staff. The hot dark chocolate you can order from the cafe upstairs is richly decadent and the perfect pick-me-up for dreary weather. And all hot drinks come with a complimentary chocolate on the side!

The selection is always fantastic. The chocolate is always fresh. Never go wrong when getting Belgium chocolates from Leonidas.

Had quite an experience here yesterday! Walked in to Leonidas Chocolatier to get coffee because the free coffee at our hotel tastes like instant, I call it emergency coffee.  This is a Belgiun chocolate shop with a loft that serves a variety of coffee drinks called Manon Coffee. I asked for a medium drip to go. After I paid and received my coffee,  I asked if I could dump my coffee in their sink (within my reach on the end) and apologized,  saying wow, wish I wouldve given you my Yeti cup instead of wasting your paper one.  Patricia, who works there, took my cup,  WASHED AND DRIED IT, poured my medium cups worth in my insulated cup and then FILLED MY CUP TO THE TOP, at least another medium cups worth! Im astonished! I thanked her effusively and she said, the coffee is very good, it should be enjoyed fully. I gave her a second tip and she REFUSED it! She said, this is my job and I enjoy it. Did I mention they give you a free  chocolate with your coffee?I went back again today to get more coffee for me and for my husband back at the hotel. She set up a tray, filled my Yeti cup, left my husbands black and packed separate half and half so it wouldnt cool off his coffee too quickly, wow. She is absolutely the best! Love this place. We travel to NYC often (from Atlanta) and Ill most definitely be back.

Went in Brussels and loved it. Same great chocolate here in NYC. AMAZING selection of all types of chocolates and marzipan. I make a point to pick up any chocolates for friends and family at this place. A+

I bought my mother a beautiful selection of truffles and she said she almost swooned after trying them. She LOVES chocolate and I have always gifted her chocolate from my travels all over the world. She says these are the BEST! And so convenient to pick up on our frequent visits to NY.

Dont know much about the cafe part but I am coming here for some time to get the Leonidas chocolates as it is now one of the few places left in New York to get them.The selection here at the Manon Cafe may not be as wide as it used to be in the Leonidas boutique on Madison ave but what I am looking for is always there, always fresh (never could even look at the chocolate that is turning white-ish) and always serviced with a smile. What more could one wish for?

Best pastry

I found out very recently that Leonidas is owned by an American who made his fame in Belgium and came back and opened his own chocolate shops in American soil. It is not an easy competition for chocolate in Belgium for sure. It is not the best out there but it is pretty good and not as pricey as some of the best ones. If you do come here, you need to get their pralines as these are the ones worth your money.

Leonidas Fresh Belgian Chocolates are VERY GOOD. I loved their white chocolate more than the others. They also had a wonderful assortment of truffles to choose from! I went with the white chocolate and almond and was very pleased.

The chocolates are delicious and an excellent selection is always available. The staff, while patient, can be a little indifferent and sadly no samples are available so youll have to trust the descriptions. Pre-boxed gifts are available and beautifully wrapped, but its always more fun picking out individual pieces.

You get a free chocolate with your coffee! SOMETHING FREE IN NYC! Also the coffee and muffins are so good.

This is a great coffee shop. Try their awesome hot chocolate made from scratch from chocolate shavings. Yummy.Their belgian chocolates are another big draw for me.

Belgium knows chocolate and these are some of the best chocolates on the planet. You pay a premium because they are imported, but if youve never tried these (or if you have and just have a craving for them), it is totally worth the price.

My first visit outside my country Greece as a young guy, visit multiple cities around Europe travel From Scandinavia to eastern/western Germany, France, swims, Austria etc, etc, etc. 5-6k klm, we visit Brussels as well, and of course first thing i had Leonidas chocolates. Since 1980 after i taste more then 100 superb chocolate cos, I havent taste anything as good as Leonidas!! I mean nothing.!!

Im a small town guy with a flavor for the big city. If u want something that eludes your taste for the best, u must go to the best.

Set inside the Leonidas chocolate store it is a little amateurish in fit out for a fine chocolate store. We ordered a few coffees and immediately when I heard the guy making them I just knew they had no idea what they were doing. Burnt coffee and boiled milk. Pass.

The chocolate here is UNBELIEVABLY good, and expensive. Try the Manon Blanc and the Manon Café or go for a one pound box of assorted flavors.

In the morning, theres always a line. In the cold, snow or rain, people wait on line to get a bagel! So, if you are early to work, stop by and try a bagel even once.
