Great decor, excellent food and coffee, clean rest room, convenient location.
I really like this place because of their coffee, chocolate selection and the shop layout. Taking one star off because of the staff that is not so welcoming. I work around this place and this is the only reason that I sometime put off my visits to this lovely coffee place and go elsewhere to grab coffee. Perhaps a good management could boost the clientele repeat their visits.
In love with new concept/design, I feel like Im in a European cafe...whether Im grabbing my espresso at the standing high-tops or having a sit down cappuccino with a colleague, this is my go-to place for my caffeine fix. The change to For Five coffee was a good move, much better and smoother taste. Also doesnt hurt to mention that the new jean apron/uniforms are super trendy and fun!
Service was pitiful, unfortunately. The place was very nice inside, and from the ratings it seems like they have great coffee. When I arrived, the girl at the counter seemed like she couldnt wait to get me to sit anywhere but the counter--which, coincidentally, is where I wanted to sit. So I stayed at the counter, ordered an Americano, and took out my Chromebook.Counter-gal, who took a few minutes to give me the WiFi password because she was a little busy with her paperwork, told me that theres a no laptop policy at the bar. Finally, she could kick me out of her area. So I went to one of the ordained tables where I waited a few minutes for my beverage that never arrived. I left.I feel generous giving this place two stars.
Had a great cup of maple cinnamon coffee while meeting briefly for work. Enjoyed the cozy upstairs area. Conveniently rt off Park Ave a block from Grand Central. Not crowded in mid-afternoon.
I’ve been to 2Beans on a few occasions to meet colleagues. Great location, central to most Midtown East businesses. Good selection of food and beverage.
Had a horrible experience earlier this morning with two barista’s you would think your drink would be made on time but they were to busy talking while everyone else is on there phone then they got mad when i asked what happened to my drink.. very unprofessional.. great store just think you guys should invest in a better respectable staff because this wasn’t the first time something like this has happened with me
I give this place 5 stars. I have been going there two years now and I have never been disappointed. There are two girls, Hispanic I think that work the Saturday shift, they are the best and part of the reason why I keep coming back. So management please compliment them on their customer service skills.I literally gave up star bucks for this place and never regretted it. Love love love this place.
The other day I just stopped to have a quick coffee and I end up getting so much sweat stuff like truffles, cupcakes and etc! They have amazing selection of coffee/tea and also chocolate/truffles and other sweets! Overall very nice place with nice staff! I will definetly recommend to give it a try if you have never been there!
Great coffee, strong Wifi yummy chocolates and there’s always a place to sit and chat upstairs. My Goto for biz and casual meetings
This is certainly one of my favorite places for a coffee in Manhattan. Delicious espresso and chocolates, and a classy but casual feel. The entire places smells like coffee and chocolate. I make a point of going every time I am in the area.
Excellent selection of packaged and hand made chocolate. Its pricey but expected for its location. Go in and try the one or two free samples they have out and keep taking more while you pretend to be interested 😊
Met here for a quick coffee meeting. The space was quite nice with plenty of seating, and they even have a 2nd level where you can get table service. Speaking as a bean boy, the coffee was delicious as well. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend stopping by
This place is very chic. I got a lavender latte and a ham and Swiss croissant that were both delightful. I sat upstairs where they had table service, but their downstairs is grab and go style.
I really like this place. They have a nice sitting area, the capuchino is great, the cashier was really nice and the chocolate look really 😋 .
Great selection of chocolates. And the people are really lovely. I could spend days just looking at all the beautiful chocolates.
I was in my old stomping grounds yesterday and saw this new cafe in my former office building, so I decided to try it out. When you enter, youre given the choice of 2 doors to choose from - Coffee or Chocolate - 2 Beans - Get it? Normally this would be a hard decision, but I was pretty tried so I had to go with coffee. When you enter, there is a little coffee bar, and a lots of shelves where you can buy pre-packaged gourmet coffees from around the world. I ordered a cafe-latte and walked around while it was being made. The other side of the store was dedicated to chocolate - with a bakery case of truffles, and other fancy chocolates, and lots of international chocolates. My coffee was excellent - rich and bold flavored. The prices are pretty similar to Starbucks, but you can tell the quality here is better. Overall I was pretty impressed. Everything is very clean and modern looking, not much seating at the bar, but there is extra seating on the mezzanine upstairs. Im certainly going to have to come back to try some more items here.
Terrific place for meetings involving a 1 on 1 setting. The upstairs provides space, with a professional ambience to interview/negotiate things in a very comfortable setting. Not to mention they have uniquely blended coffee and chocolate drinks, coupled with a bar, and gelato downstairs. An excellent place in a very busy area of the city. Easy to miss spot, I consider it a gem.
The lady boxing my chocolates was very polite. The people behind the counter that made my coffee were extremely rude. I won’t be back.
The chocolate here is so good! The lady at the chocolates counter is so friendly and personable, it was nice. I came here for the hot chocolate mainly and its sooooo delicious! Actual chocolate and milk- sign me up.
This place has an amazing selection of chocolate! And also specialty food and drinks. The custom made drinks are also delicious. Lola was so helpful and knowledgeable and you can tell she really loves what she does. I definitely recommend and will be going back!
The latte was superb! The staff were all very welcoming and extremely helpful. I found the chocolate selection very large and was able to purchase unique chocolates as gifts. I will need to go back to try their hot chocolate on a stick! Apparently a recommendation for next time
Visited this exquisite location today(02/24/18) highly recommended by friends, and it blew me away with the high level of professionalism I experienced with both of the employees over the counter the red headed cashier very polite, astounding taste if you decide to visit please find her an ask for her recommendation. And the other was very astonished how delicate she was preparing the Prada cake I order and how she took delight when it was perfectly prepared. Will be back again with many friends
Had a nice cup of coffee in clean place with lovely, friendly, attentive staff.
A NYC secret in full view of Grand Central. Try the awesome upstairs...
Very comfortable but mostly for business people. Second level in cafe with special service and if you wanna feel luxury (mean elite business environment ) go upstairs.I heard legend like sometimes Keanu Reeves coming to take coffee ))) Will see if its true )Prices little but higher than Starbucks, but quality is brilliant! You spent your time in New York if not visited this place!!! Strictly recommend!!Big respect and handshake to owner for happiness be here! 👍
I would recommend 2 beans to anyone visiting New York City. Upstairs table service was excellent. It has a great, relaxing atmosphere. We stopped by twice. The presentation of the purchase is excellent. You will find it is more in line with what you would expect at a quality street cafe in Europe. If you are a hot chocolate lover you will find a thick rich hot chocolate. The cappuccino was supurb and the pastry had great texture and flavor. It is right outside the front door of grand central terminal and worth exiting the commotion for a few minutes of relaxation.
Great selection of coffee/tea drinks. Nice light menu, too.Only criticism... its very noisy...difficult to have a conversation.
Great coffee! Perfect place for a business coffee.
A grown up coffee shop with take out and table service options...and a small taste of chocolate after lunch is so satisfying!
2 Beans is truly an enclave in the Grand central area. Fine coffee and croissants as well as a terrific selection of chocolate (hence the 2 beans)
Incredible chocolate selection. One of the best I know of. Also the coffee they serve is really nice.
Really good coffee with a laid back and relaxing atmosphere, great for a small gathering of friends or short meeting. Just one issue is the door really needs to be fixed, its an entire workout
Pictures are very misleading as the bagel with lox os not fresh at all but pre packaged from a company, also there was something weird baked into my bagel as well, dont know what it is, dark, round and hard. Will not be returning here.
Great coffee. Fairly big place if you consider upstairs. Also lots of chocolate being sold, though I didnt buy any.
Interesting place to visit for a special treat. Style wise - very continental!😉
Delicious European-style hot chocolate!
The best there is. The service was so great and welcoming. I didnt even want to leave the place.
The coffee is good but the service is terrible. I stopped going because of it. Rudest barista’s ever.
Great European style coffee and drinks. The shop has a nice upstairs where you can sit and enjoy your drink.Service was great.
Space is incredible. Also probably the best curated chocolate selection Ive seen in city
Love the thick hot chocolate here.
Great place for snacks and coffee. Very little on main floor... seating upstairs. Like it better on main floor.
Good place to meet someone over very decent coffee.
Great spot but walked all the way here because google maps said open and then it was ok closed due to summer hours. Please update hours on google so people don’t make same mistake!
Good coffee, nice table service area upstairs
Nice place for coffee and quick business chats!
Nice place for coffee..also for work meetings over coffee.
Part coffee shop, part gourmet chocolate shop. Serves illy coffee, decent tea selection, a beautiful pastry case, and at 9:30am on a Friday theres plenty of comfortable seating at the bar downstairs or the couches & tables upstairs. Nice selection of chocolates, truffles, and other sweet treats.
Best coffee shop atmosphere Ive seen in a long while -- sleek, stylish, music is not loud, good lighting. Free wifi. Really genuine/lovely staff
Great coffee and chocolate. Walking distance from grand central.
Sorry, I never visit 2Beans again, after I felt Racial Discrimination from the 2Beans staffs on Saturday Morning (02/10/2018).
I went to the chinese spot in coney island ny in Brooklyn NY they have good beef loin mein Noodles and good Hawaii punch drinks lol
Amazing specialty coffees and chocolate. Lavendar mint latte is really good, and the seasonal drinks.
Great service and a great space for client meeting upstairs. Great natural light.
This hidden coffee place is perfect to run away from the busy grand central Area and enjoy some tasty chocolates and a ice coffee. The music level is always keep down so you can have a meeting here.
The chocolates are superb. As a nice bonus, you can eat in on the upper level, but the buzz is a little distracting if you want to get some work done. Also, the service is kind of disorganized. It became a chore just to settle the bill.
Starbucks is okay at best. This place is amazing
So far, best cold brew Ive had in NYC. And a chocolate shop!
This place had a far better grade of hot chocolate than its competitors. Worth a special stop
This morning it took 4 women to open the glass doors today - 3 trying to get out and 1 trying to get in - please fix this. It should never be this hard to open a door. The atmosphere and the coffee and muffins are pretty good.
Every year we come to NYC and stop into 2 beans to buy our Christopher Elbows chocolates. This year we arrived at 5:01 of Friday, the 16th and were rudely told the store was closed. She then proceeded to shout at a patron finishing his coffee, that they were closing. Very disappointing, I work in retail as well but would never treat guests in that manner.
Delicious handmade chocolates! They have amazing exotic flavors!
Amazing chocolate! I highly recommend the dark chocolate and sea salt bar.
Great place for a espresso/cappuccino (you got a complimentary chocolate), very nice decor!Bravi!
Decent european-style coffee and quite good pastries. Whipped cream is real.
Great dessert choices. Legit hot cocoa.
Good coffee and decent place for happy hour if you want peace and quiet.
Great European style Cafe, great alternative to Starbucks!
Not as great as I expected. Interesting truffle selection.
The sipping chocolate is amazing! The teas are nice too.
Wow! Amazing amount of interesting and great chocolates! The best place for Chocolate lovers!
BEST HOT CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD!!!!! Great on a cold night❤️❤️
Dominique is my favorite Barista !
Quiet place to meet. Good Chai Latte.
Great meeting spot with excellent coffee drinks.
One of my favorite cafe in midtown and they have a lovely chocolate selection.
Amazing for chocolate, not that impressed with the coffee and pastries.
Great service and nice atmosphere
This place has become my go-to stopping ground for quick coffee with colleagues or prospects. Serves Illy coffee and small chocolate bites with a choice of coffee bar or table.
Coffee is fresh. Desserts are yummy.
Posh Wi-Fi cafe for sipping tea and chocolate if your in the area. Plenty of seating and nice staff.
Good coffee. Very busy, grab a seat upstairs if you can.
Everything seems overpriced here, but it is a fun shop with a fun selection of products. Service is usually pretty good.
I had their croissant and It was very mediocre. The place is super loud - louder than your average cafe - so if you want to be at a place where you can hear the other person youre with, dont come here during peak hours. Lastly, the staff was kind of rude, so my experience here just wasnt very pleasant.
A very fancy coffee place, service was a little slow. The quality experience does justify the price.
Good coffee, chocolates, wine.
Every thing is too sweet.
The food was good and open all night
Great coffee and the friendliest staff.
Really nice Place, the hot chocolate is Amazing!
