One of the last old school bagel cafe’s around. I’ve been going here for years. Murray’s around the corner used to be great but long lines and high prices made me switch to Chelsea Bagel. The bagels here are always big and fresh. Courteous service. Great coffee. The entire crew are hardworking folk. Besides bagels there are muffins, scones and other goods. They also make great salads and sandwiches. Highly recommend. Addendum: of course after I wrote this they have moved to a location sharing space with a pizza deli at 33rd and Lex. I will miss them.
This is a great local place, and the bagels are miles better than the ones at Murrays. I never understand why people are waiting on a long line over at Murrays when there are terrific bagels a block away. There are very good muffins, pastries and sandwiches here as well. The staff are always very friendly, and fast.
Great variety of bagels and spreads. I had an everything bagel with lox and I’ll definitely come back. A neighborhood shop worth supporting
Love this place. Great bagels. I get a breakfast sandwich almost every morning.
Bagel was decent but I picked a tiny bug out of the egg on my bagel
Good service and very good bagels
A great place to taste freshly baked bagels plus friendly service from your workers!
I love their bagels!!! Always fresh ♥️
Overpriced. $8 for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll.
Great food, especially for the price
Although the bacon and egg on a buttered roll is filling and very good, I will not accept being charged differently when theres a different person working the register. I have ordered the same breakfast for the last two weeks. When my sandwich is brought to the front the cook repeats the order and Im charged $6.26 for my sandwich so now I have my exact change ready but today was different. I was charged $6.80. $6.26 was a bit expensive anyway but now youre going to charge me a different price? I am specific with my order and in no way want to cheat anyone but youre telling me you charge .50 to butter bread? Thank you sir but no thanks. Ill make my own breakfast now and save money so thanks for that.
I used to go here a lot but never again. The worst service Ive ever had in any restaurant.I ordered a bagel with lettuce, onion and cheese which I know is not a normal order so I repeated it twice. I get the bagel and it has tomatoes. They remake it and it just has lettuce. I ask them to remake it and the guy starts actually yelling at me saying that I never ordered onion. Keep in mind that hes not remaking from scratch; hes just pulling apart the sandwich and adding or removing things. It would have been a lot easier to just make the sandwich instead of yelling at me in front of all the other people waiting to order their terrible bagels. After all that, the bagel was pretty mediocre. It tasted old. The lettuce was browning.
I love these bagels. I have been living in Asia two years, and its not easy to find good bagels, so when I was in Manhattan for three weeks I ate here almost every morning. Delicious food, friendly people, and a good value.
I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap. It was decently priced and pretty standard, served with a small side of coleslaw and a pickle. FYI, they would not let me pay with an Amex.
Very good bagels. Not cheap on the ingredients and not cheap on their price. Overall its a great breakfast spot. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel with a large coffee. Took $8 out of my pocket thinking it would be enough but it came out to over $10. Youre gonna get a good meal and youre gonna pay for it. I know they gotta pay that manhattan rent but thought the price was a tad high.
I had a bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel here last week around 9am. It was fantastic. The bagel took in the grease from the egg perfectly. It was toasted but soft.It took a little while to come out even though it was not busy. I saw a guy who ordered one after me get his before me, and assumed the guy behind the counter just forgot about mine. Not a big deal.
Love their bagels & their cream cheese all different is great. You can sit in & eat great breakfast or lunch... Cool place
Friendly staff. Excellent bagels. I prefer this to the famous place down the block and pick up bagels here regularly.
Dont be received by their delicious food. Their customer service is little to none, they only pay attention to the food they make (takes multiple times asking for specific things for them to comprehend) and how much money they give you. Nothing else matters to them. Used to go for the food, but Im so tired of dealing with their poor attitudes and customer service all the time so best believe I will never go back there again, and I recommend others dont either if you dont want to be treated poorly.
Early morning 7:15 not too busy. First time customer, served immediately. Fresh bagels and cream cheese. Friendly and professional staff. Clean environment. Two thumbs up.
Good bacon egg w cheese plus I like the chic who is at the register
Quick service and quality bagels. 😋
Standard New York bagel joint. I have been here a few times seeing as I only live a few streets away. The bagels are fresh and a variety of toppings / options are available - i.e. fish, sausage, eggs, cream cheese spreads, etc. Nothing special - just standard deli / cafe fare. My order has been forgotten a few times. Main redeeming factor is the price point.
AMAZING!
Good one. Nice bagels and baguettes to take home.
Excellent food. Huge selection and friendly staff. Bacon was crispy and bagel was moist.
Skip the weekend lines are Murrays and come here for really good warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven bagels with every imaginable cream cheese combo. Very good muffins and pastries, salads and sandwiches, too.
The bagel is pretty good and freshly baked on the premises. I go there i go there in the mornings because I like a super fresh tasty bagel.
Really good whitefish salad with generous portions of everything in platter option; awesome bagels and delicious custom juices where you pick flavor(s) and combos.
Excellent!!! Highly recommended!💯👍🏾👍🏾
Sure shot for Chelsea breakfast. Looks quite ordinary, but food is great. I had bagel with pastrami - best pastrami I ever ate in NY
Having tried both Murrays bagels and Brooklyn bagels, Id say this place comes pretty close without the neverending lines on a Sunday!
I swear they cant toast a bagel. EVERYTIME I order one, even double toasted, its cold! Of course they let it sit there and put a pound of cream cheese. Its beyond sloppy! Only thing good is there mocha.
Amazing and fast service with a smile and a lovely chat!
One of my favorite places to go after Ive walked the high line and/or visited the galleries in chelsea. I asked them if they did cobb salads and even though it wasnt on their menu, they still made it and it was very hearty and delicious.
Pretty standard bagel shop, perfect for a quick stop. I love that theyre _not_ cash only as some other places can be .
Super fast service bagels were hot and fresh and my hubby loved the lox bagel. Kalmata olive cream cheese was awesome on my health grain bagel.
Convenient for what it is but super overpriced here. Better off going to a nearby deli
Good (maybe not excellent) bagels. My bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich was huge, delicious, and filling.
New Yorks best bagel shop! Great variety of options! highly recommended! I want to comeback as soon as possible!
This place is convenient because I work right near it. But the past 7 times I have gone they have messed up my order. And then the girl at the register is always rude. I recommend walking down the streets to Murrays Bagels, thats where I will be going from now on.
Compared to Bagels outside NYC, its great. For NYC, you can do better. Cream cheese sometimes seems questionable like they have a lot of old stuff folded in...
Great tasting fresh bagels and creamy hot chocolate
The best bagel store in nyc. clean, proffesianal, best employees good service and delicious food. guaranteed the best food you ever had
Cozy wee cafe, medium sized coffees are large to me, should have ordered a small, nice range of pastries.
It cant be great, because its so plain, but they have good bagels and quick service. The coffee is a bit expensive ($2.67 including tax for a large).
Good food and quick service. Would go there again.
Very nice and efficient service. Excellent pit stop.
DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. I got charged $17.05 for a bagel thst was never delivered. I was staying at a major hotel in NYC in midtown & ordered a bagel online to be delivered. Delivery guy called as I was waiting in the lobby to say he couldnt find my hotel & was done. He hung up on me right after that without asking if I could give directions.
Tasty bagels. They charge an extra $1 for lettuce and tomato.
Their milk tea was fine, do not buy the cookies. It was just awful.
The bagels here are almost as good as the canonical ones at fairmont in montreal.
Not bad but the cashiers are usually painfully slow. And for some reason, their default is to toast everything.
Great selection of vegan cream cheeses.
Great bagels and smoked fish.
Pretty good bagels
Possibly the best bagel of my life
Favorite place 😍💙❤️💙😍
Nice spot, fresh bagels 🥯
Good but a bit pricey
This is one my favorite bagel places in the city
Bad service, messed up the order and handled it poorly when we complained.
Good breakfast,service can be better
Nice service
Great bagels and coffee!
Excellent bagels
Ok to busy daily
Very tasty
Best bagels in the area
Very unprofessional.
Good stuff!
ORDER WAS OVER A HALF HOUR LATE. WORST SMOOTHIE IVE EVER HAD AND THE CUP WAS ONLY FILLED HALF WAY. MUSTARD ON MY BLT AND I ASKED FOR MAYO.
Great nova bagel
So-so
To expensive
Wonderful, freshly baked bagels; fresh and delicious spreads, meats, eggs, etc. to top your bagels (or other bread); and friendly, helpful employees.
Have had breakfast there several times during our stay in New York. The store had a great offer, it was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful when we had language problems 😀
Bagels ya you?
Good bagels, but not frankly willing to help tourists a little lost when ordering. It was really up to us to get rid of, which contrasts with the general attitude of American traders.
Good little bagel shop
