My brother and I both got Ocidental Oriental ciabatta sandwich. Containing chicken, peanut satay sauce, mozzarella, red pepper, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, and shredded lettuce. Its a very big sandwich, a plus on your wallet and your stomach. Flavor wise, just okay. Perhaps their other sandwiches are better. Quality ingredients, price, presentation and service pushed my decision to 4 stars. Strawberry Fields Milkshake was good, but not the best Ive ever had.

We were party of 6 and we all enjoyed our sandwiches. We ordered vegetarian sandwiches and they were nicely made with good bread served hot. Will go there again. Pleasant staff.

I mean, just WOW! I feel like this place reinvented the sandwich! So fresh, so delish, such great and varied clever combinations and wonderful breads! I just wish they were open EVERY DAY! Also: cool decor and friendly, helpful, genuine staff.

Had the yam I am and the chicken parm. The yam I am was amazing, perfectly balanced. Nothing over powered anything it was a beautiful symphony of flavors perfectly melt cheese and the bread was something you dont find in the deep south often. Leaps and bounds above an over proofed French loaf(it has it place also).The chicken parm on the other hand was lacking in some department. The bread though different was still stupendous (where yall getting your bread from?). Had I known the chicken not only was going to be breast but not breaded or fried I wouldve gone a different route. It was slighty dry but couldve been helped if there was a bit more sauce on it. The sauce was tasty though just needed a bit more. It wasnt bad by any means just wasnt what I was expending a chicken parm to be. A better menu description would have rectified any misconceptions I had.All in all a wonderful experience. I will be back again as usual. So many options to try.

Delicious sandwiches. It’s been almost 6 months since my last visit. Don’t know why I waited so long! Clooney’s Choice and I Dream Of Aubergenie sandwiches were delicious (one was mine, other was wife’s). I’ll be back much sooner next time. I plan to try every sandwich on the menu. Then I’ll do the salads.

This place is awesome and im glad I stumbled upon it, driven past it for a couple years now. Got the Clooney sandwhich which is delicious btw.Definitely gonna go back because they have a wide variety of items and it isnt too heavy on the wallet or stomach. The staff were super friendly also. The one draw back is that when that get busy there is no where to sit, but thats what ya get when you find a great place to eat.

First time here and it was great...Oustanding service, answered all of our questions and had a great attitude. The sandwich pictured was the Blue Healer..We also ordered the Shrimply Irresistible, both were terrific..We will be back again...

Very very delicous! Their sandwiches are always piping hot and packed with flavor and lots of cheese! The Milk Bar alone makes me wish I lived on the South side. The staff has never been anything but friendly. The smoothies arent anything too special, personally, but dang do they make some good lemonade! My favorite sandwhich is hands down the Psycho Chicken, but no onions :)

Ive always heard about this places sandwiches, and I finally went for the first time today because I was craving a salad. I called and ordered the Mexican Chipotle Ranch Salad with chicken and it was ready for pickup in five minutes. It was huge, delicious, and I feel a great value. The store front was set up for pick up only and I was greeted promptly by a very friendly employee. Ill be back here for sure!

We picked up Sweet Thai Chili Lamb sandwich & the Blue Heeler sandwiches. As my wife said, divine!. The sandwiches were ample for the prices. Highly recommend.

This sandwich and shake haven always exceeds my expectations. Its got creative sandwiches, tasty handspun shakers, and the friendliest workers behind the counter. I love the Moo decor they have displayed as well. If you want a quality quick bite in this part of town, you cant go wrong here.

Sorry, I dont get it. I ordered the Bangkok Shrimp Salad and despite whats listed on the menu, the shrimp had no garlic and were not sautéed. Instead I got small frozen shrimp which were not deveined (eww) and clearly just put in the oven for a couple of minutes with no seasoning at all. I was disappointed given all the glowing reviews for sandwiches. The lettuce was fresh and the dressing was pretty good, but the shrimp were just gross. If youre gluten free look elsewhere.

The po- boys are amazing! The french 🥖 is really incredible and reasonably priced.

The sandwiches are very well made, I highly recommend either Clooneys Choice, Shrimply the Best, or Christmas in July. The Milkbar offers great sandwiches at a good price that gives you a lot of value.

One of my favorite quick serve places in town. Staff are some of the friendliest people youll ever meet. Im fairly stuck in my ways, and usually only get the, Shrimply the Best, sandwich. Would definitely recommend if you like shrimp. Bringing friends and family who order other items, they have never been disappointed. They also have very good milkshakes!

I really like this place and love the cow theme. The Occidental Oriental sandwich was fresh, hearty and delicious! Friendly and fast service and will definitely go back again. My only complaint is the use of so much paper product and styrofoam, and the salad container for my step-moms salad was a bit too small and difficult for her to mix her salad and eat out of. Perhaps if there were plates and bowls for people who were dining in, that would be better. Will still come back next time I visit!

The cutest restaurant with the best theme. Great milkshakes. The occidental oriental might be my favorite sandwich of all time. Getting a lollipop with every order is something you don’t expect, and whenever you get it it just doubles the size of your smile. The sandwiches also look like flying saucers which is a plus.

Took the trolley and go off right in front of the Milk Bar and were glad we did! The sandwiches are delicious (I loved the one with peanut sauce) and the butterscotch milkshake was soooo good! Beyond the food and milkshakes, is the amazingly kind staff! Chelsea (sorry if I misspelled your name) was so friendly and greeted us with the biggest smile! I highly recommend stopping by here if youre in the neighbourhood.

I love going here because the people working are always awesome.They do a couple different homemade lemonades which I love. However, its pretty pricey. Especially since there are so many inexpensive lunches around there. I believe they make all their salads upon order, so take that into mind when you consider the wait time. All orders come in to go boxes, even though there are tables as well as a narrow bar top. I could handle This, But, as is true in most of New Orleans, there is no compost or recycling bin for said waste.

If you want great sandwiches, this will be one of your top places in NOLA. There is a sandwich for everyone here. Detailed menu. Fresh ingredients. Toasted to perfection. My favorite is wolf me down. It has lamb meat in it. Just like the name, you will wanna down it to your stomach. So gooooood.

Closed, with a silly sign in the window about public safety and mandates. Next door, Baskin Robbins is wide open. The Milk Bar was not my destination; Supercuts was. Had to wear a mask to get my hair cut, but at least they were open.

What a great little gem in New Orleans. Tucked away its one of our go to cafes. The samwitches here are like nowhere else. With names like Speared pig and the Blue Healer theres something for every taste here. My pick here is always the Speared Pig that combines smoked ham, m asparagus and hollandaise sause and Mozzarella chese ( I know, but trust me here) into an amazingly different meal. The decor is filled with paintings of cows and humorous signs of different countrys take on having 2 cows ( you have to read these ), I spent 20 min just reading them.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and Shrimply the best was very delicious. I was able to taste the freshness in the shrimp. Highly recommended.

The Shrimply the best is simply the best! They give you a good amount of shrimp and my sandwich is always very good. I love the chocolate shakes too. Whenever Im in NOLA, I make it my business to stop in for my usual (Shrimply the best & chocolate shake, dont judge my combo 😜.) Maybe, one day, Ill try some of the other menu items but I just cant get past my fave combo.

The milk bar is a golden, invaluable establishment. The sandwiches are the best in New Orleans, the bread baked fresh daily, heaping portions, and consistent! Never ever had a bad sandwich. Shrimply the best and clooney’s Choice are go tos, but there’s something for everybody. Salads are wonderful, shakes are thick and rich, and the people who work there are always kind and quirky. As a resident of 7 years, I give the Milk Bar the highest mark of approval.

OMG.... I am in heaven! My husband has been here three times and this was my first time. And I can see why he loves it here, its a bit of a drive to our place and the sandwiches are more gourmet and pricier than your cheap run of the mill small joint... BUT its WORTH IT! We got the clooney and the christmas in july and split them. Also a banana and mango bango smoothie. The sandwiches were divine, crispy buns, fresh oozy gooey cheese and the smoothies tasted fresh. I am already planning my return. SO GOOD!

Just went there todat and met with Chelsea(?), I probably spelled that wrong. It was my first time there and I brought my juniors out there to treat them. I knew I wanted one of their handmade milkshake, for sure. But what I got was a LIVELY greeting, AMAZBALLS sandwiches, and had a blast with their Go Banana shake which matched my shirt by the by. One of my juniors didnt like their Mango Bango too much, but Ms. Chelsea(?) was very adamant about fixing up the drink to her standards. And boy her standards were great! When we go there again, I hope we get to see her again! :)
