We came upon this place on our walk exploring the area. The place was clean the atmosphere was nice. The staff was nice. Im glad there was vegan food close by and it was this place. The tacos and the drinks was good. My husband had the cauliflower sandwich with the purple milk bread. He was amazed. We also had the fried glazed cauliflower and me not being a big fan of cauliflower approved. For dessert we had the banana split type ice cream. That was also pretty good. Definitely recommend.

Recommend? Yes. Cute spot for brunch. There were two of us and we were starving so we got quite a few dishes. By the end of dinner we were glad we ordered as much as we did.We got a drink which was sense and sensibility. For food we got tofu nuggets, mushroom gumbo, cheese fries, artichoke falafel, noodle salad, tofu bao, and beignets.Sense and sensibility doesnt have any grapefruit in it, but it tasted like it did.Tofu nuggets had a really good batter and delicious sweet mustard.Mushroom gumbo was definitely not what I consider gumbo and it was a bit on the salty side.Cheese fries were good, nothing outstanding.Noodle salad was super refreshing.Tofu bao was my second favorite, my first favorite being the tofu nuggets. The tofu had a good hardy crunch and a bit on the sweet side. The bao bun had a twist to it, it was fried. The pickled veggies made the bao not too heavy. The beignets werent as good as I would like. The batter itself isnt too sweet and its not as fluffy as I would like. It was served with what appeared to be a coconut sauce.

Oh my goodness, all the food here is so amazing!! Definitely off the beaten path but it was worth the trek. The food is unique and delicious. Very good options that are healthy as well. We got the mushroom gumbo, tofu bao buns, cauliflower katsu, and the Japanese noodle salad. All of these dishes are amazing. The bao buns were some of the best I have had and the sauce was awesome. The cauliflower is a MUST try with great sauce and the bread (purple yam milk bread) is SO GOOD! Definitely would recommend those 2. We got the beignets for dessert which were also incredible. I would be here all the time if I lived closer!

Responding to my mound of luggage, my wonderful server, Seth, asked if I was arriving or departing. I shared I had just arrived and Seth replied “welcome home.” This level of care, hospitality, and sense of community spans the entire Seed experience. The plant based retreat boasts a menu of colorful and enticing appetizers, entrées, sides, and desserts, a modern and cozy atmosphere, and friendly team!Shortly after arriving in NOLA, I was conflicted on what to do - too early to check in to my Airbnb yet too eager to venture out to wait around at the airport. I searched for vegan restaurants in the city of gumbo and was delighted to see Seed was just a few blocks from the place I would call home for the week.I booked a table to ensure I would have a place to be after hopping out of my ride but the reservation really was not necessary at 2:00 PM on a rainy Sunday. I lugged in my suitcases and quickly got my table in the turquoise space adorned with ample windows which both welcomed great natural light and served as a lovely view of the moody drizzle outside.Seth, my server, was compassionate, patient, and affirming of my choices. And I concurred the cheesy waffle fries, shockingly smooth yet crispy cauliflower sandwich with purple buttery bread, and fluffy beignets dipped in a sweet caramel drizzle made for a glorious first meal in the Big Easy!

Its always been a 3-4 out of 5 experience oer the years at Seed. Dont expect to have your mind blown and do expect high prices for small-medium portions not too far outside todays norm. Its consistently been good food. The takeout Ive received lately hasnt had any single use plastic items, so theyll get more of my business so long as thats consistent. As this is usually a stop on my dog walks, theyd do well to have some outdoor seating IMO.

I’ll be dreaming about this restaurant until I die. I’m from NC, was in town visiting a friend who suggested Seed. We were immediately seated without a reservation, luckily they weren’t too busy. Our server, Jazz promptly took drink orders and checked in a few times as I gazed over the menu. Now, as a vegan from a small town I don’t often get many options when dining out. We couldn’t decide on one dish so we splurged and ordered the tofu nuggets, Korean cauliflower, Mexican cheese fries, and the butternut bisque. Everything we ordered was AMAZING! You could put that incredible Mexican cheese sauce on a pinecone and thoroughly enjoy it. The cauliflower was crispy on the outside, but fork tender. The butternut bisque tasted like fall, with perfectly cooked bits of apple sprinkled on top. I’m blown away. I wish we were fortunate enough to have a place like Seed in WNC. Seriously, you won’t regret dining here!

Came here for dinner one night during my stay in New Orleans. Im not vegan but I do enjoy eating vegan food from time to time. This place is highly rated in New Orleans and it did not disappoint! The staff first off, was very friendly and attentive but not overly attentive. We tried their vegan gumbo, Korean pork belly sliders, Korean fried cauliflower, and eggplant sandwich. Everything was really good but my faves were definitely the eggplant sandwich and the cauliflower. I ordered an avocado crema they serve with another dish on the side and it was the perfect combination to balance out the dish. I would recommend that they actually begin to serve dipping sauces with their cauliflower. My partner thought their korean sliders were the best. I have to say I was really impressed with how good these were as well despite not being real pork. The only con was I wasnt a fan of their Mint Julep... so much so that it actually turned me off from even wanting to give another drink there a try. But overall my experience there was great and I would highly recommend this place for vegan and meat lovers alike!

Fantastic food, cool vibe, and excellent service. Portions are generous and presentation is lovely. We went for lunch and had Korean cauliflower appetizer, Tai noodles and mushroom tostadas. It was so good we came back for dinner, but they were already booked up with reservations, so we came back for lunch again the following day to try the mushroom gumbo, artichoke falafel, tofu “pork belly” bánh mì, and a second helping of the Korean cauliflower . Cauliflower was everything we hoped for: crispy, tender all the way through, sweet, a little spicy and savory. Mushroom tostadas were thoughtfully assembled and delicious. Mushroom gumbo was made with a dark, rich roux and was complex and satisfying. Tai noodles were fresh, cool and perfect for summer. Artichoke falafel came on an awesome piece of freshly-made flat bread that was on par with the delicious contents. The bánh mì came with two in the order and was great. The buns were made from scratch, and were light and fluffy. Thank you, Seed, for providing quality that can showcases vegan cuisine and comfort food at its best.

Wow, just wow! The whole experience here, even during covid times, was so so good! A friend and I dined in and ordered the waffle fries, katsu cauliflower sandwich, butternut squash soup and beignets for dessert, and a couple cocktails. It was the perfect amount of food, the dishes were expertly prepared and inventive. Everything was incredibly delicious. Standouts were definitely the waffle fries and the cauliflower sandwich. YUM! The waiter was kind and attentive, but very respectful in giving plenty of space. It felt very safe even eating inside, we made a reservation about 30min before arriving. The indoor seating area is pretty large and there were only 1-2 other parties besides us. Located roughly halfway between the Garden District and Canal Street, my wife and I stopped in for dinner on our way back from a Garden District walking tour. The building itself is well marked with a huge wooden sign on the corner, and the interior is a wonderful shade of blue/green that is bright but not bland.Everything on the menu is vegan, but non-vegans will love their offerings, too. They have a dartboard menu, in that you could throw a dart and it would always hit something delicious for you to choose. My wife and I shared the artichoke cakes, the tofu nuggets with honey mustard, and the cauliflower katsu. All of it was so well flavored that we found ourselves looking for more.Luckily, if you ask, they have rotating desserts that are not on the menu. We went with the frosted carrot cake. It was wonderfully moist and definitely worth getting (and I rarely get dessert). They also have a wide selection of house cocktails that looked delicious (we avoided them since we were a bit dehydrated from our walking). Overall, Seed is a top choice!

I love supporting vegan restaurants and the food was decent but the service was so slow even though there was only one other person at a table when we arrived, thus the 3 stars. The server came to our table right away to get our drink order but we hadnt looked at the menu yet, so said we needed a minute. She then disappeared for about 15-20 minutes. We were sure to order appetizers with our drinks when she came back. We got those and still our drinks werent there but at least came shortly after. At least our order was all correct so that was good. Also the restaurant was absolutely frigid. We asked the server if they could turn the AC down but they never did. Great service! Would not recommend coming here for breakfast, but lunch/dinner looks more promising! I split the pancakes with my friend and we both enjoyed them. The chameleon cooler was also delicious but $11 felt a tad expensive for a mocktail. I got the black ice porridge which seemed like it had zero spices added to it and fell totally flat. I scooped a tiny bit of the syrup from the pancakes and that gave it a little more life! My friend got the superfood chocolate milk and said it was interesting but could have used a a tiny bit of sweetener. They also got the avocado tacos which were pretty disappointing, just a few slices of avocado a lot of white onion a pinch of cilantro and the tiniest drizzle of mole. Just nothing special about them... Why not add a tofu scramble or beans to make them more hearty? My friend said dinner food was great despite the portions being very small. Might go back and see if dinner is better? Interior is sleek and modern giving it an upscale feel. All in all, the new Seed seems like its got potential but breakfast is meh.

It was better before the ownership switchIt had-a bigger menu with more food options-tastier food-more down to earth atmosphereI ordered about 5 tofu nuggets for like $8?? It felt so meager to open the box and have so few, it’s not even a snack. The old gumbo from before used to be so rich and flavorful. The mushroom gumbo now doesn’t even compare, and when I ordered it, it was dangerously oversalted. Why on earth they would do away with classics like the tofu poboy I have no idea. There’s nowhere in New Orleans to go get one of those, so why would you drop it off your menu, and still call yourself Seed?!Seed is just not the same anymore, and isn’t new in a good way either.
