Wonderful neighborhood cafe with quality veg/vegan food options. Friendly and welcoming staff too.
Beautiful local coffee shop with a delightful selection of baked goods and delicious dishes.
Poached eggs with grilled brussel sprouts...new adventure in food. Very tasty. Iced Chamomile tea- also very tasty. Great place for those who like vegetarian food.
Breakfast burrito is pure love. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Love this place, it’s one of my favorites.
Always love being here and constantly crave the dom sandwich. Can’t wait til we can work and study from there again 💖
Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches..Friendly service...
Food is great !!! owner great but dont tip the new lady with black and white hair. She is rude and useless .... doesnt even call you when your food is ready. Her mood is bring the place down ..
Super easy walking distance from my apartment, so I make it part of my weekend routine to stop in for a hot drip and a muffin. Yall. These muffins are ridiculous. Theyre the best muffins Ive ever had - Im partial to the blueberry, but theyre all incredible. Easygoing atmosphere and Covid-safe!
This place brews a delicious cup of coffee. The menu looks tasty (with some vegan options!), but the baked goods were too irresistible. Vegan/gf king cake donut was beyond perfect. This was my first time in, and we will be back for sure. Thanks for having a vegan option for us herbivores💚
Hivolt Coffee is my favorite place to eat breakfast in New Orleans! I love to order the French Connection and add avocado. This breakfast sandwich is sooo tasty; the combination of egg, ham, havarti, red onion, arugula, dijonnaise, and avocado on a croissant creates THE PERFECT bite. Inside, there’s a pleasant atmosphere and fun artwork! Definitely would recommend!!
The coffee and atmosphere is bomb but special shoutout to the great selection of togo drinks in the coolers and gluten-free goodies in the case. Ive been here dozens of times and always left in such a good mood
We visited High Volt Coffee on the way to a tour of the Garden District. It’s a great spot with lots of options of people with all kinds of dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free etc.)I love a good quiche and unfortunately when we arrived, although there were plenty of quiche options, none of them were vegetarian. I opted for the veggie frittata served with kefir yogurt. This looked really cool in the display case of the items made today, kind of a mini crustless quiche. (see I was in a quiche mood…) It was okay but not amazing.I also had a peach ginger muffin which was super dense, without a lot of peach in it, and no discernible ginger taste. In retrospect I should have gone with the “morning glory”…everything in their display case looked amazing. My wife had the Ozzy which is two poached eggs on sautéed greens, avocado, grape tomato and quinoa, also with the kefir dressing. She loved this meal. She also treated herself to a vegan raw brownie…a very sweet and awesome, date-sweetened and super rich. (in a delicious manner). She couldn’t finish it but was happy to carry it around the rest of the day and finish it in a glorious second round. There are plenty of vegan and gluten free choices. Also lots of coffee choices too. You have to love when a breakfast-centric place takes its coffee seriously. I got the American Rosales Pour-over. It was surprisingly smooth and bold.Although I would have loved a vegetarian quiche choice, I’d definitely go back, when in New Orleans, to have more coffee and sample more from their drool-inducing same day baked display cabinet.
This place is awesome. For a small coffee shop, their menu has a lot of variety and the bowls and breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Im looking forward to coming back and trying another one.
Delicious! Vegetarian friendly - food so yum- mean green n French connection are my go to. Latte or chai also solid choices.
Revisited Hivolt to try their Spirulina Smoothie on the recommendation of a friend. Now passing the recommendation to those reading this review.
Excellent coffee and one of my favorites for gluten free eats.
A lovely spot to hang out for coffee/brunch, inside or outside. Fun local art all over the walls. My go-tos are the salmon sandwich & cayenne honey latte!
Excellent every time
I drove from the other side of town based on what your operating hours are on your website. I get here and sign says youre on break and only open on Saturdays? Really?? Fix your website.
This coffee shop is wonderful! We tried the quiche, delicious!! Creamy, cheesy, flaky crust! Highly recommend it! Comes with a lovely side salad. The cappuccinos are great. They also have several flavored coffees to choose from. The shop is small but artistically decorated. Plenty of seating and very friendly staff! ❤️
Delish breakfast sandwiches, pastries, smoothies, and coffee. We ordered inside and ate outside (though theyve reopened for dining) and it wasnt crowded. The website has great photos of the sandwiches.
Egg cooked to perfection. Crossiant was super fresh and the service excellent!
Best coffee and amazing pastries! We were vacationing nearby and Im trying to figure out how to bring this shop back home with me. The shockproof coffee helped curb our hangovers and we recommend the bacon cheddar scone! 6/5 stars!
Love the Bacon Cheddar Scones!
The Cortado took a few sips to get used to but once I did I loved it.The Cola Cocktail Soda is very much like Coke Black. Try it with a slice of orange, its wonderful.Good Morning Vietnam was good as well. Not amazing but I couldnt tell you what could make it better.Nice atmosphere and nice staff.
This place ROCKS. Expectations were met and exceeded! The coffee & food were both incredible. Try the French Connection breakfast sandwich, you will not be disappointed. Cool art too :)
Staff are never friendly. I only fo because of its location.
The vegan cashew toast was amazing. I added Avocado to mine. But its so nice to have food properly seasoned. Coffee was good too. Great art and zines to waste an hour.
Great staff, delicous coffee and pastries, havent tried anything from their real menu but it looks pretty great. nice atmosphere with support for local artists
Good coffee, good vegan desserts. Neat atmosphere. Location makes parking a pain but always wanted to go and now I can check it off my coffee must try list.
This place is DELICIOUS. Seriously go here for breakfast and get their breakfast croissant (I think its called the Frenchman or something like that). It was beyond good. Like I wish I could go back and experience that croissant again. The green smoothie was also one of the best Ive had in a really long time, and I drink tons of smoothies. Will definitely be coming back!
Food was very good and well priced. Cold brew was sweet and smooth even without any additions
This is THE place for breakfast. The coffee is great: strong, and a little acidic. Just how I like it. Nice vegetarian / vegan options: bowls and breakfast sandwiches. I had the Rufus. Really good. I could eat here everyday.
Fast service, great selection of food, pastries and the coffee is always stellar. Super appreciative of their delicious vegan pastry selection. Also always really great art on the walls. It always seems pretty busy/crowded but never a long wait.
Coffee was wonderful and food was amazing as well!
Great coffee and scone
The muffins are huge and perfect, their baristas know how to do espresso right, the menu is well curated, and food is always consistent, tasty, and freshly made.
Yumm
First off, let me say that the food was excellent. The breakfast sandwiches (I ordered The French Connection, girlfriend ordered the Toonie Melt) looked fantastic and tasted even better. I honestly cannot stress this point enough. Come for the food, if nothing else. This was the cheapest place we ate at in NOLA and is in the top 5.BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.The staff was extremely friendly and the service was 100% on point. The coffee was good. The iced coffee was great. The interior decoration and atmosphere was also great — beautiful, clean, and thorough. Even the menu items served the casual, hip aesthetic.I loved it and will be coming back.
Casual cafe spot. Enjoyed the food, coffee was tasty. Does its thing and does it pretty well.
Good coffee, great atmosphere, stellar artist showcase. The food is good and theres a huge hot sauce selection.BUT, not enough outlets and the chairs are pretty uncomfortable and loud. Also, the space echos a lot (especially with the metal chairs), a little sound buffering would go a long way.
Been in the neighborhood awhile but not a coffee drinker. Just recently discovered their food selection. Good food and cool atmosphere. Can get crowded with lots of people working from here and taking up whole tables for long periods of time. Nice sidewalk outdoor space.
This is, hands down, the best coffee shop in New Orleans. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. The coffee they’ve chose for their espresso is exactly what espresso should be. The thing that makes them the best is their bakery and food options. The Brussel shoals with brussel sprouts and bacon are out of this world. The raspberry lemon muffins compliment this perfectly....just go there already.
This place was good!My breakfast bowl was delicious! The scones were wonderful and the service was fast!It is a casual neighborhood place with high quality food!Kudos
Best coffee we have had in the US (we live in Sydney). Healthy food options. Vegan and gluten free options too. Friendly and nice vibe. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious and inventive food...great coffee. What a dynamite combination. The breakfast bowls are outstanding as is the Dom breakfast sandwich. The latter is a really fresh brioche roll with a fried egg, really flavorful, think sliced ham and cheddar cheese. Seriously one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten.
First off, in am not a coffee drinker. Great selection of ice teas and juices. Enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and resisted the many other bakery temptations offered. The atmosphere was terrific. Was looking for a place to get an important project finished and needed no distractions from work or home. Free good wifi, plenty of power outlets and good background music for stimulating the mind.
The coffee is average, but the food is definitely worth the visit. I recommend the breakfast burrito or any of the breakfast sandwiches. They also have a good collection of hot sauces.
Stopped here twice while in town for business, I think it may be my new favorite. Cold brew is great and they actually give you a large when you order a large and not a 12oz! Will definitely go back
Amazing coffee and muffins -- their cappuccinos absolutely rock, as do their chocolate banana muffins. I would also suggest that you not be fooled by a line out of the door, it moves very quickly and even if the line wraps around the building, it is well worth the wait. Though this is a cafe, I would not suggest coming here to study as it is almost certain to busy and gets a high capacity of foot traffic. The atmosphere is bright and modern/industrial, and of course the service is exceptional. The one problem is lack of parking, everything else is flawless.
Awesome Lunch spot! All the food was so good! The service was great! Lots of options and great prices!
Small plates, Avo and Brussels. Perfect share and a fine cup of coffee. Love this place.
City-wide BEST coffee. Especially the Latte. Truly fantastic foamed milk. However... we would happily give our full five stars, but we have encountered multiple times, over several years, that the baked goods (croissants, muffins) are passed off as morning-fresh when theyre day-olds. >>> Thats NOT OKAY, not for those prices, not ever.
Dont waste your money here. If the staff makes a mistake and you try to get it corrected, they treat you like YOU did something wrong. The manager hides in the shadows and allows rude staff to mock and ridicule you as though your money and business mean nothing. I have been a regular customer here for years but that ended today. I suggest you not waste your money here as there are much nicer, cleaner establishments that stand behind what they do. They also treat you better and are consistently good. Coast Roast Coffee in the Auction House Market, Mammoth Espresso and French Truck Coffee are much better choices than this poorly run, dirty, musty place with ignorant staff.
My husband and I absolutely love the food and drinks. We actually go out of our way to make trips here including paying for parking. We love fine dining and my husband worked in hospitality for many years but, we are big on customer service. I am happy that Google gives you an opportunity to voice your opinion and I have to say the customer service here is questionable!
This is a simple coffee shop with an amazingly great selection of healthier options. Great find. Be aware they turn off WiFi between 11a - 1p so if youre working youll need to have an alt plan.
Wow, what a treat. Fun. Creative coffee smoothies, tasty espresso, good breakfast.I reluctantly ever eat salads but damn, the chimi beef salad blew me away. LOT of tasty bakery options, including gluten free stuff. Will definitely come back.Update: I continue to find great stuff here, and the food menu, always changing, gets me to try new stuff.
Great coffee and great food. Affordable and quick service.
Love this place. Used to drive all the way across town to go here, passing about 15 other cofee shops along the way. Now I live a block away and its one of my favorite parts about moving to my current house.
Cute cafe but I was underwhelmed by my meal, and prefer somewhere with table service.
First time visiting. Loved the cappuccino and the lemon raspberry muffin. Food options looked very fresh and healthy. Well definitely be back to try the food.
A bakery bliss!!!
Nice staff, amazing quiche and pastries. YUM. Nice open layout as well. Kind of weird that open internet is shut off during peak times though. I get it, but seriously?
Try the cola cocktail soda! A creative combination of espresso, Mexican Coke, and vanilla!
Best coffee we’ve found so far whilst travelling the states... not just New Orleans! The food is amazing too with so many gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc. options! I had the mean green salad with the gf quinoa cake.. delicious! Great place and atmosphere. A must go too!
Good coffee here, though if youre looking for anything super fancy or varied espresso drink options, you wont find too much. Still, for something simple like a cappuccino, they did not disappoint at all.
This is a unique local coffee shop. Mct and cbd oil coffees. Quiche looked very good but I came for gluten free donuts and sadly they were not very good.Fun that they had King cake donuts.. but not my favorite donuts.
I don’t understand why their muffins fail in the tasty catergory! There isn’t any love in the way they make/bake their muffins. All you taste is flower & sugar. They have so many you’d think they were good. I wonder if they taste any of the items they bake and expect us to purchase?I’m so disappointed in their muffins and breakfast sandwiches! I like good tasting quality food, and this place is lacking it BIG TIME!
Always the best place to get work done remotely.
This place is awesome. Every time I visit from Florida I visit this place several times. Love it. Love the food.
Nice healthy breakfast bowls! I wish I lived closer!
They serve Counter Culture coffee here which is the best in my opinion & they have an excellent selection of vegan baked goods too. Overall awesome coffee shop that I enjoy visiting.
Good espresso drinks, great baked goods, and helpful service!
Cola Cocktail will give you a little pep in your step.
Great breakfast bowls, coffee, people watching
Terrible customer service. The young lady with the mullet was awful to deal with. Food was okay. Coffee was good. Its the service that let this one down, maybe she was having a bad day.
Great coffee and ambiance. Tried the coffee soda, very interesting and worth trying if you feel experimental.

GREAT breakfast in a very friendly small local place. Absolutely loved it and hope to come back soon :)
