Jai was the perfect host full of information and friendly banter. His staff were attentive and helpful and very amiable. The food is very well prepared and although they dont have a large menu the sandwiches and soup are amazing. The Ciabatta bread is some of the best Ive had if you are looking for something light to eat while in the quarter I highly recommend Petite Amelia!

Staff moved at New Orleans pace, not the rush that us Yankees are used to. The food is amazing, but expensive... if you arent used to organic plain yogurt, dont get the parfait. The texture of the yogurt was off and it wasnt sweet enough, plus frozen berries means squishy berries. The granola topping was amazing. $4 for a 12oz hot coaco is a bit ridiculous.

This place is very beautiful, located in the center of French Quarters.I went very early on a Saturday for breakfast. However for someone who is not from New Orleans, you will find it difficult to chose a healthy breakfast, unless you want to eat 20$ Salmon.I was hungry but for the prices I could only afford a cup of coffee and a croissant. This place is expensive compared to other restaurants nearby. The place is clean, the staff if friendly (it is a self service),and thr coffee is good.

Very friendly employees with great customer service.I was quoted 15 minutes on food (catfish tacos took longer) but it took about 45 minutes before we received our order (table of 6). Someone checked on us every 5-10 minutes and we were offered complimentary pastries due to the delay.I ordered the muffaletta shown in the picture attached to this comment. It wasnt bad but Ive had better.

Promised that our food would be done in 15 minutes and it took 45 minutes to bring our food. We were on a time crunch and although they updated us on the status of the food and offered to let us eat any pastry on the house it was not enough to make up for the wait. Disappointed after hearing about the hype surrounding this place. Had chicken salad sandwich the food did not meet expectations either despite how hungry we were at that point.

Wonderful little cafe. Was nearby my hotel the cornstalk hotel. Wish I would of had more time I would come in here again. We only had a salad as we both were not that hungry, but the menu has a lot of fresh items that look really good. Our salad was good, the place was clean, bathroom was clean, prices reasonable, and the service was good. Make a stop here for some light fresh food.

Very limited food choices. A group of 6 and the food trickled out of the kitchen one order at a time. My muffalatta order was actually lost and we had to ask about it. One of the counter guys slowly walked to the kitchen and eventually came back to say it was coming but offered no explanation or an apology for my 25 minute wait. No offer of any kind was offered. Was left with the feeling that no one actually cared about customer service. Absolutely no reason to return...none at all.

My friends and I came here for a quick bite to eat. There were 3 other groups in the café, two of which had ordered their food after us. Twenty minutes after ordering, one of these groups who had ordered after us got their food. Not long after, the other group that came in after us got their food as well. There were four people at the counter just hanging out and talking for this whole period. My group actually had two tickets, so half of us got our food after about 45 minutes of waiting, and the other half of us got our food about 15 minutes after that, so half of us were already finishing our food when everyone else got theirs. It was very basic café food — nobody ordered anything more complicated than a sandwich. The staff was absolutely apathetic about our waiting time and didn’t make any attempt to acknowledge or apologize for it, even after we had left a generous tip. What was supposed to have been a quick stop ended up wasting a huge chunk of our day trip to New Orleans. If you have things to do, I would not recommend coming here. The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because the food wasn’t terrible. If you do come here, I recommend waiting to tip until after you get your food.

The food was great overall. Their pastries and freshly pressed juices are worth the price. However, this is not the place to order a mufaletta. I was disappointed that mine barely had any olive salad on it. I had to smear it around to get it to sparsely cover the sandwich. Definitely not worth the $13.

Slow and expensive arent usually desirable qualities in a restaurant, but this place provides such great food and such healthy food that its worth it. They make fresh squeezed juices, they have wonderful Bakery, light salads such as a Cajun tuna pasta salad, made fresh chicken salad, and fresh greens. Its the joy of French cooking with the healthfulness of French cooking. It just takes them a long time and the prices are kind of high but its worth the wait.

I stopped in here with my family for iced coffee and fresh squeezed juice for my toddler. I wasn’t sure my child would like some of the specialty juices listed on the menu so they offered to make her just plain apple juice which was super nice and she really liked it. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. A nice little place to take a break from the crowded streets of the French Quarter. I would give this place 5 stars for service and atmosphere but I was a little put off by the cockroach I saw in the restroom. Not something you really want to see in a food establishment.

We popped in here a couple of times during our stay in town. Unfortunately their air con didn’t seem to be working well, but on the plus side the coffee was good and they had free homemade taffy at the till, which was really nice. Blown away by the service at this cute little coffee shop. Located right around the corner of Jackson Square, this gem is the perfect place to stop before you start your day exploring the city of NOLA. After trying to get brunch at a few of the other places in the vicinity, my group and I stumbled upon Petite Amelie. The little blonde girl that greeted us at the counter was SO friendly and polite. Free refills on coffee, amazing breakfast sandwiches and the table bussers are quick and efficient. All in all just a really friendly place with great vibes. Id rate it 10 stars if I could!

Ordered the breakfast sammie, some chips, and hot tea and my sister got a salad, a Danish and an iced coffee. We ended up paying upwards of $40 for a basically inedible breakfast. Drinks had to cost at least $8 a pop given how much we payed, and they were neither large nor particularly good. Gave me the wrong sandwich, covered in mayo, with over toasted bread and so little egg that I actually started laughing. I gave up trying to eat it after the first bite -worse than any fast food breakfast sandwich Ive ever had. Employee that dropped off our food ignored us, stormed off and pretty much chucked our order counter into the corner - I think you probably get the picture at this point. Do. Not. Come. Here. There are much better places you can get breakfast in the quarter for a much more reasonable price.

Terrible customer experience, stopped in at 11am on a Sunday, only 4 diners in there. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and the heuvos rancheros. After seeing not 1, 2 but 3 other tables who came in and ordered after us I asked where the food was only to be told it comes when it’s ready. When I said 3 other tables who ordered after us had been served I was told he had worked in the industry for 20 years and didn’t need to be told. Didn’t know what to say to that, when i went up to ask for a manager a 4th table had their food brought out - that was it. I simply asked for a refund. Please save your money and time and eat elsewhere - there are a dozen options nearby and none can have such terrible customer service. The exact model of how not to run any cafe/restaurant.

Beautiful location with delicious fresh gluten free salads and very good cafe au lait. At lunchtime it was busy but the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a step up into the cafe (no visible ramp I could see-- wheelchair users, you seem to be out of luck) and a step down into the clean but small bathroom. Navigating through the shop with my cane wasnt hard but would have been very challenging in a chair. It did get loud at times from the coffee machine, if thats an accessibilities issue. Fantastic coffee, excellent gluten free options (try the olive and pepper jam salad) and enjoy the view of Royal and the beautiful historic architecture. The door advertises it is explicitly queer affirming and the treatment my husband and I received and nongendered bathroom backed that up. A safe place to sit if you can get over the step.

Order: Sandwich, Petite Salad, Tomato BisquePrice: $30Pros: One of the cleaner eating establishments in the area, pretty quick serviceCons: Parking, salty food (especially soup), super spicy soup with no warning, salad looked like a prepackaged saladThoughts: So we spent a large part of our day at the aquarium, walking around the area and walking around some of the shops on the outside of bourbon street and we were getting hungry so we were trying to find a quick place to eat. The fact that we don’t really like bar food, and that most eating venues in the area were just plane dirty made this one of the few really viable options. We went in and it was definitely a stand out from the other restaurants in the area. It had a large eating area, was incredibly clean, and refreshingly cool (because it was over 100 outside). Unfortunately it was also pretty much empty, which wasn’t a good sign, but honestly we were starving so we went ahead and ordered.Mistakes may have been made. The food was less than good, honestly. Everything, except the salad, was so salty it was just barely edible. The soup was ridiculously spicy, and while I love spicy food, there was absolutely no indication that it was supposed to be spicy. The salad also looked like a pre-made salad that had just been pulled out of a cooler. It was all so sub-par that we didn’t actually finish a single item, which is insane for us. To top all of that off it was way too expensive.Overall I would say to stay away, but if you are just starting and can’t bring yourself to eat in some of the more divey places nearby, then just get something to split that will tied you over. This isn’t a place to go get good food (or even ok food), it’s just like a really expensive gas station for your stomach. Don’t fill up. Just get enough to get you to that nice gas station around the corner.
