Literally the best bagels in the city. I’m so glad I discovered this gem! Their house made cream cheese spreads (like 6 different options!) are all so delicious. ALWAYS super friendly and quick service. It’s such a delight to go here! Highly recommended
These lovely ladies make a wonderful breakfast or light lunch for you 6 days a week. I like the fantastic bagels with a sun dried tomato spread, smoked salmon, and an iced coffee to get my day going. Came for the bagels, stayed for the love.I can’t go today, and that makes me sad. If you don’t want to be sad, start your day here!
So unhappy. Ordered a hot chai. It came out cold! When I asked for it to be warmed up, she got it so hot I couldn’t drink for 10 minutes. I also ordered a bagel with butter and cream cheese. We waited 15 minutes for our food and my bagel came covered and dripping in butter but with no cream cheese. I’m so annoyed that I just wasted 30 minutes and 25$ on this disappointing experience. Understaffed and careless!!!
Wait staff is really beautiful and friendly. Coffee is in the top 3 places in the city. Wonderful breakfast pastries too. Just a great place for your morning fix.
Ended up here because my normal bagel place was closed. Service was a bit lacking, waited several minutes at the counter, while two more parties came in, before being acknowledged. Was bummed there were no more plain bagels, but thats totally not their fault, I waited until after 9 am to decide I wanted a bagel. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches, and half a dozen bagels. Bagels came out quickly, the breakfast sandwiches did not. Waited almost 15 minutes for them. Which is practically forever when youre hangry. Overall, the food was solid, just not sure it was wait 15 minutes good. Chalking this up to after Hurricane Ida struggles and will try them again in the future.
They check vaccine status which makes me feel so good about spending my money with them. Yummy everything bagels with salmon spread!
Laurel Street Bakery has pleasant service and a massive menu.I ordered the roast beef with grilled onions and chips, and a latte. The roast beef sandwich was a bit too salty and the mustard is not a good match for this. But, past that, it was great. The latte was subpar. I would try other coffee items, just not a latte again. The location has a fee table to sit at and is very clean.I will return to Laurel Street Bakery and I do recommend it to others.
Cozy quiet place with room to socialize and the music is not loud so we could talk. Will be back again. Food and prices are great.
So great; we can’t stop thinking of these bagels. Service was so nice, and our bagel with bacon and shallot cream cheese was amazing. Everything is a great price, and we walked away stunned.
A great place! Cozy, clean and nice, with a nice exhibition of paintings. We got a very good coffee and milk, with the possibility to drink it in the cup and without using plastic. The french bagel was very good, I did not have time to take the picture .. Hahaha!I will be back, in my short vacation at Nola, in this place!
Laurel Street bakery helped me in planning a bridal brunch for 15 with only a few days notice. Hillary and her staff were extremely helpful, responsive to messages and very professional. The sandwich tray, breakfast pastry tray and desert tray was especially delicious and loved by all. The last minute addition of the Chocolate Covered Strawberry birthday cake was absolutely divine. I highly recommend Lauren Street Bakery for all your catering needs.
Cutest little bakery with the sweetest people! Gave us free food because we were from out of town 💜💜
Warning, do not buy their products online and have them ship to your home! Laurel Street Bakery will NOT take accountability when delivery issues prevent your purchased goods reaching your requesting shipping address. I recently bought a King Cake online and paid for 2-day shipping, more than doubling the price of a King Cake at $50. A storm caused delays in shipping, which no one can predict, however it has now been 11 days after I ordered, and I still do not have the King Cake I paid for. I sent an email to LSB asking for an update and policy of the shipment is lost and got no reply. When I called them the first time, they had a recording that the storm had prevented shipments from arriving on time and to contact FedEx. I then called FedEx but was not able to locate or track my package. When I followed up with Laurel Street Bakery again via phone call, the employee who answered the call told me their policy was for customers to call FedEx and that they could not do anything for their customers, that as soon as FedEx picked it up, it was out of their hands. I mentioned that this was unprofessional, and although FedEx was responsible for the delay, LSB, was accountable for their products and satisfying their paying customers. I even mentioned that other local bakeries that are in NOLA were offering new products or refunds (yeah, I ordered multiple king cakes for my family). The woman I was speaking to said that my issue wasn’t their issue and they would do nothing to help me out. I then asked to speak to a manager or owner and was told that she couldn’t continue this conversation since there was a line in the store and then ended the conversation by hanging up on me. To me, during a time of worldwide uncertainty due to the global pandemic, I would think a small business would go the extra mile to serve their customers - that is why I was buying from them (as a former NOLA frequenter for business), supporting them. In today’s world we need to have some compassion...unfortunately Laurel Street Bakery does not when it comes to their out of state customers, this was shown today via their customer support.
I’ve never been let down by Laurel Street Bakery. The bagels are always delicious. Their sandwich menu is also worth a gander as well! I usually get the Brooklyn (pictured), but my partner and I have done the American breakfast sandwich and the Frenchie. All of which have been great! They have a great dark roast, which is my go to for most coffee.I can’t say much when it comes to other baked goods since I haven’t tried them, but they look tempting.I also enjoy the front seating! The bar along the windows adds a pleasant touch and really nice light.
Awesome food!! Great little spot.
Love when my food tastes like soap
An absolutely great bakery. Incredible food, delicious pastries, fantastic coffee, and amazing people working there. Highly recommended.
Great service. Great food. I ordered the florentine sandwich on a croissant and a hot chai tea. It was good!
We ordered plain bagel with cream cheese and breakfast bagel sandwich. Delicious, fairly priced, and polite customer service! Would definitely go back!
I always forget how good the coffee is at Laurel Street. I stopped in for a sandwich, got a cup of coffee, and had the best breakfast Ive had in weeks
The food is always fresh and tastes phenomenal they always greet you with a smile and theyre good with remembering what you like i give them 10 stars
Delicious food and drinks with great fun service. Also very covid safe
I rarely write bad reviews, but it was that bad. Aside from food that is just ok at best, the service was terrible. When it was my turn to order, the cashier said, I think I messed up that last guys order. I said, Do you want me to go grab him for you? I can see where hes sitting. She said, No, I wouldnt worry about it. He can figure it out when he gets his food. That red flag should have sent me away. Once I finally got my mediocre food, my order was wrong as well. I went up to the register and very politely told the cashier that I wasnt given two of the things I had ordered. The cashier rolled her eyes and started digging through the trash for my receipt, as though she didnt believe me--even though she had admitted to me that she messed up the last guys order. When she finally found my receipt and realized that I was missing two items I had paid for, she asked one of the other workers to grab me those two items, but she was glaring at me as she did so. I wasnt upset that my order was messed up. Im a reasonable person that understands stuff like that just happens. I also worked in a cafe, so I know these mistakes are sometimes not even anyones fault. Still, it was ridiculous to act like it was somehow my fault, or like I shouldnt have asked for the food I paid for.
For my money these are the best bagels in New Orleans. Getting one of their tasty sandwiches on them is just a plus. They also have great iced coffee. The service can be a little slow but the prices are pretty good. If I lived closer Id be here a lot more.
A bit overpriced on the coffee, considering its pretty average. Nice atmosphere. Workers seemed stressed, considering it was fairly quiet. Nonetheless, if youre looking for a coffee shop to chat at for awhile, would recommend.
Excellent food, welcoming staff and a great workspace! Also family friendly. Whether you are taking your food and coffee to go, or camping out to finish a project, you wont be disappointed!!!
They have a large variety of breakfasts and sandwiches and desserts to and coffee
The most delicious, fresh bagels. Great staff and lovely overall feel... perfect for a weekday morning... but now that theyre open WEEKENDS TOO!!! its perfect for your Saturday or Sunday bagel & tea or coffee. Delightful.
I hope this place is open for many years to come. We had a lovely breakfast and the coffee delicious. A nice place for our community.
Cool little place we found on the way to another. Decided to drop in and take a look. Was feeling under the weather I still bought a few goodies. Everything was awesome.
They are absolutely amazing! I love the Brooklyn Bagel. The service is always phenomenal and the crew is consistent. Im not sure who the bakery DJ is but I can get lost for hours. Whatever you need, they have it.
The food is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly. This is a go to for me anytime Im in the area.
Always a smile from the employees, always a good bagel sandwich and ALWAYS GOOD Jams playing on the Alexa.See ya tomorrow.
Nice place. Not NYC bagels. The everything should be the everything else bagel, there was a lot on it but not what you expect from a everything bagel. Very friendly staff. And fast service. Just not what I want in a bagel place. The other items in the display case look great, so I might come try them
Their bagels are super fresh and very delicious.. place is always jammin. Great service. Fun vibe. Very much a community coffee shop.
The owner is very customer oriented and one heck of a talented baker. She stepped up and pulled me out of double trouble. I called in the morning and requested a birthday cake for my wife for that evenings dinner party to celebrate her birthday which was THAT DAY! By 1:30 that afternoon, I was heading home with an incredibly delicious cake. Perfectly decorated, absolutely wonderful! A very enjoyable experience!
Oat Bran Muffins / Walnuts & Blueberris OrThe BEST.
Excellent food and great service.
Bagels nwerenfresh, service was polite, quick and friendly. Food was equally as great.
I love that you can see the food being prepared from the front of the store. This place is a nice, cute, clean cafe with good bakery breakfasts. Bagels are soft and delicious
Friendly staff, great service, delicious baked goods, ample seating, and outlets. Great place to study or meetup. The bagels are mediocre; better than a Panera bagel but definitely not as good as the type of new york bagels sold at steins or humble bagel.
Excellent Coffee and breakfast sandwich options. Clean atmosphere and plenty of artwork to keep your eyes busy while you wait for a freshly prepped breakfast. Highly recommended!
Love the warm and inviting atmosphere. The Tuscan on a PoppySeed Bagel was very delicious. The staff is very friendly and I love their rapport with their regulars!
Back in my Buffalo, New York days, I worked at a bagel bakery, so nowadays, Im a bagel snob. Thankfully, I found Laurel Street Bakery, where they make bagels the old fashioned way: days of prep for more taste, boiled and baked. The results are worth it from the first crunchy bite with a hearty flavor inside. My personal favorite is a garlic bagel with shallot schmear. Mouthwatering. The other baked goods--muffins, bread (which Ive convinced my kids is better than the bread-like substance they sell at the supermarket), muffins, cakes and croissants--are all first rate, and the service is solid. Great place to hangout on the weekends or to dash and grab during the week.
I bought my fiancee a birthday cake from here and everyone loved it. They all wanted to know where I got it.
My favorite local bakery and coffee shop, very reasonably priced, delicious bagels and food, good space to hang out
Had the yummy chicken salad on a flaky croissant. Very good!
Enjoyed a latte with a slice of buttercream red velvet cake. Was awesome, a great place to visit..
Best super hot cafe au lait in town, always good and great service, did I mention the bagels? Yummi..
Great neighborhood bakery and coffee shop. Friendly people. Will be back.
Hands down best experience ever at a coffee shop the place was clean and spacious and the staff was knowledgeable friendly and fast I will definitely be back
Everything great just needs music you can hear to complete the ambiance.
Food is excellent and the friendliest staff around.
Awesome place! Great bagels, great coffee, fantastic service!
Delicious food and pastries. Very friendly staff and the prices are reasonable. Definately coming back.
One of best places in New Orleans. Service is amazing led by Mr. ED. He is the true epiotme of New Orleans, kind, playful, empathetic, intelligent and super friendly. Hilary, the owner is awesome as well along with Courtney and Carrie, they make LSB a great place to work and play.
Good service but the bagels were average, nothing special.
Ive been going here for years. The staff is always friendly, the food is always delicious, and the service is always prompt. What else could you ask for?
Good pastries, good breakfast and lunch sandwich selection. They offer king cake during the season.
Freshly baked treats and great hot and cold coffee.
The service was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and both the food and coffee were perfect for a Saturday morning!
Cute decor, friendly service, good food. View from the booth was pretty gross, but other than that, no complaints!
Super cute. Great menu items. Have passed a hundred times and should stopped the first time!
Good food and friendly service. Well worth A visit for baked goods too.
My favorite place for bagels. Wish I could eat here everyday. Food is delicious, staff is warm and welcoming. Really wish theyd open on the weekends!
Lovely menu, friendly staff. Trust me, you need to check out their breakfast menu!!! Then try the carrot cake...YUM!
My daughter ordered a sandwich, which she hated but I loved. I ordered the French toast, which I hated because it was really only toast. The fruit was only so-so,and the chocolate moose should be avoided at all costs!
Love Laurel Street Bakery! Also a great place to purchase baked goods for the holidays!
Great sandwhiches and salads. Especially the the salmon nicoise! Friendly staff and great atmosphere
Great food, casual atmosphere nice staff
Excellent bagels (second only to Humble) breakfast sandwiches and delicious pastries. Their coffee is wonderful too.
We ordered a coffee, bagel sandwhich, and soup special. All three were fantastic! Friendly service and good amount of seating.
Friendly service, good coffee, great pastries. Sampled the lemon square, carrot cake, and almond square and all were delicious!
So damm good, what more can I say.
Great samdwiches. The side salad has a lemon vinaigrette dressing that is amazing
Love the food ambiance it doesnt hurt that theres a Purple Knight Im the kitchen...
Delicious cream cheese
My actual favorite place for breakfast. Love that everything is handmade.
Convenient parking, great pastries and average coffee. Average coffee for New Orleans is above average anywhere else.
Love this place and their bagels!
Always good service the muffins can be tough but everything else is good.
Great food friendly staff.
Wanted to try this place forever but always missed their open hours but I wouldnt go back. Scone was not good.
Great bagels. Wish I could get a fried egg on my sandwich though.
My job orders bagels from here at least twice a month. Friendly staff with wonderful baked goods, goffee, and offerings.
Love this gem. Great food and happy people.
The food, coffee, and people behind the counter are all great.
This is my favorite bagel shop hands down! There smoked salmon spread is heaven!
Great Atmosphere and I love Everything on The Menu.
The granola is very tastey and the guy in the back is the reason i will continue to come
Slow, but good. Worth the wait.
Excellent cappuccino and coffee cake.
