They were able to get us in last minute while we were there for a trip. The front desk staff were the most friendly I have ever worked with at a shop (and I have a lot). Roy was professional, so friendly, and did great work.

Decided spontaneously today to get my nose pierced and Pigment made it happen!!! Erik did my piercing and he made me feel so comfortable and eased my nervousness!! came out great and will def be coming back to get some more stuff done in the future!!

Please be aware. The service is drilling. My daughter wanted a smiley for her 21st birthday and I wanted to make it happen. So I endured. The piercing tech was very rude, unprofessional, and condescending. Had it not been for the fact that we had already gone to 4 other places that were not doing the smiley because of Covid I would have not continued. Parents do almost anything to keep a smile on their childs face. Happy 21st Punkin hope you learn from this experience.

After knocking my eyebrow piercing out in the morning on a road trip to NOLA, i walked into a random shop to have help putting it back in. The girl there said it was already closed and she’d charge me for the repierce. I figured I’d try somewhere else and I’m so glad i did!! Called up pigment and I was able to make an appointment later that day. They were clean and welcoming and put my piercing in no problem!! After a really frantic day it was so great to end up there :)

Just got my second tattoo done by Justin here at Pigment. I came here two years ago when I was visiting New Orleans and decided to come back during this visit since i loved my last piece so much. Justin’s super cool and chill, just like the rest of the staff. i came in not knowing exactly what i wanted, i showed Justin some of my tats, and he designed the perfect tattoo for the placement i wanted. i definitely recommend coming to Pigment if you want any piercings or tattoos cause the staff is super chill and they have amazing work here!! My brother got tatted by Dre who is also super cool. Her artwork is so great and she was so fun to talk to! again, don’t think twice about it, get your work done here!!

Well stocked with jewelry, more so than more places in Nola. As someone who gets pierced a lot and swaps out jewelry for newer stuff, I appreciate that. However, I have been at this shop at least 10 times, sometimes in very close succession, and every time the piercer (who pierced my nose as well as sold me jewelry) introduces himself to me and does not recognize me. it’s as if he can’t form new memories. Whatever that’s about....other than that it’s great to know there’s a place to get body/ear/facial jewelry.

I saw JW, Justin just over a year ago while visiting NOLA. Although he didnt have anything unicorn like, his style I thought was perfect for my idea. I told him I would send him a pic of it healed. Im about a year late, but I still absolutely love this tat. He took three ideas (unicorn, beads, and State flower) and this is the beauty that resulted. ♥️

I went to get my nipples pierced today. The piercer was extremely professional and did an amazing job. After the piercings were done, I had a minor panic attack and I was shaking and on the verge of tears. The piercer helped me through it, go me some water and candy. Super great guy, piercings are beautiful, get pierced here!

Went in last minute to get a small tattoo since it was my first time in NOLA and I like to get tattooed by different artists everywhere. Keel quickly designed my tattoo and was extremely friendly! He made great conversation, and had some really cool tattoos available. The reason I’m not giving a 5 star rating is because my tattoo is now healed and it is scarred up unfortunately. That’s quite a few spots where Keel just had a heavier hand. I still love my tattoo! Just not 100% cool with the scarring. Would I come back though? Yeah!

I went in with no notice at all for a tattoo that had not been designed yet. I think his name was Roy that ended up doing my tattoo. The design was quickly drawn and exactly how I wanted it, he made sure that the sizing was both good for the detail of the tattoo and a good fit for my body! They were very kind to me and my friends and even allowed them to watch us. Great prices and wonderful customer service!

I went here yesterday because I had a tragus piercing that was closing up and I was nervous to do anything about it because it hurt so bad when I got it initially. Eric helped me and was really nice about it; put me at ease and fixed it in minutes! I will be returning here from now on for my tattoo and piercing needs.

My friend and I walked in for small matching tattoos. We had a simple design in mind and Mac did a great job drawing out something even better than what we had envisioned. The shop was clean and welcoming, and everyone we spoke to was friendly. Mac was very sensitive to the fact that this was my first tattoo and made me feel comfortable; he was professional yet easy to talk to. He was clearly obsessive about cleanliness and safety, which is exactly what you want your tattoo artist to be. The tattoos came out beautiful. I had gotten a flash tattoo of a bee done at a different parlor. It came out horribly and I was so incredibly upset. I called pigment asking if they had availability same day because I was so impatient to get it fixed, and they told me to come in. Sean Harrington made it night and day different in as little as an hour. I really appreciate him and the rest of pigment for helping me. Definitely will be coming back for my next one.

Ive been getting pierced at Pigment for the past 5 years. Eric is a great guy and an even better piercer. Ive never had any problems with infections or swelling after her pierced me. I also think hes hilarious even though he has a pretty dark sense of humor. Super clean, well priced, nice staff, and convenient location. Best piercing place in New Orleans by far.

Excellent shop. The atmosphere is vibrant, but the energy is calm. Gorgeous jewelry display cases. The staff is friendly and helpful. I got a vertical labret piercing from Erik. He was attentive to the placement of the jewelry, and careful about sterility of items used (everything taken out of single use, sealed bags, etc). Pleasant experience. I would both return here and recommend this shop and Erik as a piercer to anyone who asks.

I went in to get a belly piercing (i called earlier that day to ask if the piercer was in) and he did a PHENOMENAL job!! The entire process was very very very sterile. He was very knowledgeable about the piercings and answered all of my questions in full detail. He even let my friend hold my hand during the piercing. The total cost of the belly piercing (including the ring) was $50. I wanted to bring my own belly ring but he kindly said know because he wanted to ensure the piercing I had was of good quality and sterile.

In November I got 2 piercings from Erik. I know that everyone heals differently, but I was amazed that these piercings healed in under 6 weeks! I was a bit nervous, but Erik made it a very easy/comfortable process. He took his time and was precise marking me for the piercings. He even went as far as to carefully bandage the piercings so they did not bloody my clothing.My past experiences with other piercers haven’t really been that good. So, (before seeing Erik) I decided these piercings would be my last. However, this experience has changed my mind. I have 4 more piercings that I’d like Erik to do for me. My only regret is not doing this sooner. I’m glad I took my time to find the right shop though!

This place is A+!!!! Very nice and clean. This was my first tattoo, and my guy was so nice and understanding. He was great to chit-chat with, very interesting (I was probably pretty annoying with how many questions I was asking him) and very kind. I knew that he really took care in making my experience the best it could be (and it really was great considering my day wasnt the best) and really made sure I had the best looking tattoo he could give me (ace of swords tarot card). I regret not getting his name, I would have put it in this review, he really deserves the praise!

I was a walk-in this weekend. I had an idea of what I wanted. Its just a basic quote in a pretty font. I worked with Cornbread and showed him what I had in mind. He offered to draw something up a little differently and it was more beautiful. We spent at least 30 minutes changing the size, font and spacing until I was happy. He was patient and totally fun to work with. His pride in his work made him more concerned with my tattoo being correct than getting me out the door. He was very professional and an absolute joy to work with. I will gladly return to him for the next tattoo.

I went to get my nose pierced here and I extremely enjoyed my experience. This was my first facial piercing and Eric did it. He did a fabulous job and made me feel very comfortable. Everything was so sterile!! He even dropped one of his gloves on the ground and didnt even pick it up; he immediately grabbed a new one. Also, it went by so quickly. Ive seen several nose piercings done and usually the piercer leaves the needle in for a couple of seconds and then tries to stick in the ring. However at Pigment, Eric was so quick about it I barely felt a thing. It was like magic. Im so pleased with my experience here. Seriously if youre looking for a clean, safe, comfortable environment to get a piercing done GO TO PIGMENT!

My friends and I went here to get our noses pierced and they were so patient and caring. Also, when we first got there, we noticed our rental had a flat. One of the guys came out to try to change the tire. The piercer stated somebody could give us a ride home since we were staying so close to the shop. Just all around good people!

Went in to get my nose pierced and he was amazing however there was a guy on the couch who was making very racial remarks which made everyone uncomfortable. The shop needs to do better in ensuring the company they keep does not cause them to lose business. There is no telling if the guy worked there or not but the guy who was doing the piercing was interacting with him and the show wasnt very busy. So from the first glance of walking into the shop I would assume all of the guys in there worked in there

Ive been here twice for piercings (two cartilage piercings and a nose piercing) and the shop is very clean and the piercings are very sterile. Overall, the piercings came out great and Im very happy with them. My issue is that the piercer himself makes some uncomfortable jokes (just generally offensive, off kilter jokes, uses the word retarded, things like that) and has overall been kind of creepy to me and my friends whenever weve been in there. Many other girls my age that I know that have been in have had the same experience. Clean shop, great piercings, creepy dude.

I had visited several other shops before pigment. once i walked in and talked with leslie, i knew she was exactly who was supposed to do my tattoo. she was professional, gifted and FRIENDLY. she truly catered to ever request i had and thrilled me with the result. HIGHLY recommended.

I am so upset. I showed a picture of an orange butterfly. It had a tiny pink flower and a yellow star beside it. The artist said do you mind if I put a contrasting color of blue in it? I said that sounds good. I walked out with a blue and pink butterfly a star with no color and a flower with a little pink in it. A tattoo is very personal. ...this one is not one I would chose. He offered to put orange on it but I was too disgusted and not trusting that it would look better.

Clean place, decent work. Horrible service. Went in for a piercing, artist had a horrible attitude and acted as hed rather be doing anything but his job. Also misinformed about the price over the phone.

My regular artist moved out of state several years ago and hes the first person Ive let tattoo me since then, and I have a feeling Ill definitely be going back to him for my next one as well. I was in New Orleans for Jazz Fest and wanted to get a piercing so I googled and chose this shop! Initially unsure of what piercing I wanted, I talked to the piercer. I offered a few ideas and he honestly told me what he thought about each idea in regards to my particular ear. We decided on one (daith) together that was not one of the original ideas (Im so glad I went with this one). The daith piercing he did was the least painful of my 10 piercings, including lobes. He then changed some other studs out for me. Overall, my experience was excellent. I did not find the piercer creepy as some other reviews said. He was interesting and really good at what he does. I cant wait until I can come back and get another piercing here! Super clean, super friendly staff, awesome experience.

I got the VCH piercing several months ago and Eric was amazing. Very down to earth and very professional. He made me feel very comfortable. It did hurt, as these piercings inevitably do - but, only for about 5 seconds. Afterwards, I was completely fine. The staff was nice and the place was clean and sanitary. Even the restroom was exceptionally clean. I havent had any tats here, but the artwork on the walls is amazing. Thank you all so much for a great experience. Professional clean great service .

I’ve been to this place many times and it is honestly the most unprofessional place. The only reason I come here is for Kai. Let me start off, the desk employee sat on the couch the whole time and didn’t even welcome us when we came in I didn’t even know she worked there until she told me (after a while of waiting) that I needed to fill out some paper work. She hands me the paperwork which asks for phone number, address, etc and underneath is everyone else’s paperwork. So you could literally just go through the stack of papers and get anyone’s address and phone number that has come into the shop that day. The guys that work there are completely useless. One just sat on the couch the whole time even when people came in and didn’t welcome them or anything.

Called today to check and make sure they were doing Friday the 13th tattoos, the girl who answered the phone said yes and that they were doing them all day until 10pm. Got there around 7:30, we walk in and she says that they stopped taking names at 5:00pm and that there was a cut off. I told her that I called earlier and nothing about a cut off period was mentioned to me. She and the guy behind the counter just laughed and blew us off.

Got my nose pierced here almost a year ago, i have 10 ear piercings so im not new to this. i talked to the piercer before doing it and asked him what kind of metal it was and if i would have a reaction to it. he said no id be fine, i had a really difficult healing process. when i went home in the summer to buy a ring the piercer in new york told me my nose was definitely reacting to the metal. 9 months later and its still not healed. lots of ppl i know went here and were totally fine just make sure you ask about the quality of metal exensively

Incredible artists, going back for my 3rd. tattoo!

My terrible experience and botched piercing with this business:Context: Its my 18th birthday, the first day I can legally get pierced without parental consent. Number of guests I brought: none. I wanted to respect the limited space in the business.I chose Pigment because I had heard from a friend that she got pierced here and it went decently well for her. The difference is that she got a more traditional area pierced (nostril). I, on the other hand, wanted a daith piercing. Now, if the piercer has not performed that piercing before or does not feel comfortable doing it, they shouldnt quietly pretend they know exactly what they are doing and compromise my appearance and piercing health.This happened to me at Pigment. I arrived around the time the piercer was out on lunch or not at work yet. When he came in he asked to verify that I wanted a daith piercing. When he said the word daith, he mispronounced it. Considering that piercers should more or less be experts on piercings, that was a red flag I should have heeded. But they had already checked me in and I didnt want to just dip. He pierced my daith and I left the establishment.Actual piercing experience: I think the guy who checked me in and did paperwork with me was (one of) the tattoo artist(s). Im not at all very picky about how friendly people are to me at businesses; as long as they arent rude to me then Im pretty happy. So my bad review is not about the vibe of the people who talked to me, even though it was pretty mediocre and a little dry (if they had properly pierced me I would have given them 4 stars out of 5).For example, on some of the paperwork it asked for my birthday, so I had to give the guy who checked me in my ID so he could verify I was 18. As I mentioned above, it was my birthday that day, so verifying my age would mean looking at my ID and seeing that the month and day on my ID was the same as the month and day that it was that day. At a more cheerful piercing shop, maybe the guy would have said hey happy birthday dude or something equally as simple. But he just looked at it and handed my ID back without saying anything. Its not a crime to not tell someone happy birthday, but Im just saying it came across as pretty dry for him to just not say anything after obviously seeing it and it definitely would have made my experience a little warmer if he had been a little friendlier. The piercer was similar in demeanor, he was just mostly very serious (again I understand some people are just like that and it doesnt necessarily mean anything). At the end of the day, I left feeling pretty excited about my new piercing and pretty indifferent about the customer service. The substance of my bad review comes from what happened next.I wanted to get another piercing about 3 weeks later and my friends wanted to try a shop that was closer to us. So we went to Purity Body Piercing. As I was talking with the piercers about what I wanted, they caught sight of my daith piercing and said hold up hold up what is going on with this daith piercing (for the record they pronounced it correctly) and then they examined it. I learned from them that the guy at Pigment (1) pierced with the wrong gauge size for a daith piercing, (2) put in a ring with a diameter that was too small for a fresh daith piercing, and (3) pierced my daith too shallow in the cartilage. I spent $60 of my money on my birthday at Pigment for a piercer who had no idea what he was doing to pretend he did. I threw away $60 for a guy to compromise a part of my body at the site of my piercing. Because of the 3 points above, I had mad swelling and irritation around the area of the piercing. Who knows what could have happened to my ear if I didnt go in to another shop and get the problems detected?They were immensely more professional and knowledgable at Purity. They ended up removing the piercing and they pierced my other daith. Mind you I had no problems with the properly done daith piercing from Purity. I am angered by what Pigments piercer chose to do to my ear. I deserve a refund.
