I brought my car in several weeks ago because it was shaking. The tires were balanced, but when I took the car home, it was still shaking. I brought it back this most recent time, and was told that I needed rotors, brake pads and rear shocks. All together this cost be $1400. When I brought the car home, it was still shaking!! I spoke to my usual mechanic and he had just replaced my rotors 35,000 miles prior and agreed that they definitely should not have needed replacing. I feel that, because I was a woman by myself, that I was taken advantage of and had to spend unnecessary money on things that were not needed and definitely didn’t fix the problem. I will not be using this, or any other Monro service center ever again.

Wonderful service. We had a surprise issue with a tire and Monroe was able to help us out before we left on our trip. Fast and courteous.

Great experience. Visiting area from out of town and found a flat morning we were supposed to depart--a Sunday morning. Monro was the only repair place open in the area. Got it over to the store and they were able to patch the tire and remount our spare in less than 45 minutes with a relatively low cost.

Came in for an oil change and brake service. Very fast service. Didnt try to oversell or cheap out. Would definitely come back for any future services.

If I could give this shop a negative number I would. I was traveling from Ny and had caught a flat… I stopped in and the workers were beyond rude and disrespectful. Refused to assist me after explaining I was traveling back to NY the man behind the counter told me he has to travel to the shop everyday as well. The person working inside the shop just said all I do is work here and everything goes through the man inside. Poor customer service and just plan rude. I was traveling with myself and my brother who is autistic. I had to drive to another repair shop on a doughnut and not knowing the area. Smh. I would never ever ever recommend this place to anyone.

A plus.... while youre waiting theres a shopping plaza whether you want clothes, shoes, crafts, hair products, package store, and/or groceries! I get stuff done while my car is serviced. Checked my heater out for no charge. Only needed to top off antifreeze.Only charged me for the wiper blades I bought. They put them on for me.Very personable there!

I bought a new (to me) car in New York and I wasn’t super confident the brakes and tires were up to snuff. Bob had me come in and they checked both things and came back to me and said I have about half life left if my brakes and tires and there’s no need to replace anything at this point. I’m leaving this review because of his honesty. I would have been none the wiser and probably would have scheduled an appointment to replace everything if he said so. In my experience a lot of shops aren’t always this honest and try to pull one over on you. I really respect that these guys didn’t. I’ll be back for their services when I finally need them.

Called these folks at 9:00 AM to inquire about a 4 wheel alignment estimate.The gentleman on the phone quoted me the price and had me in the shop by 1:00PM - Job took around 45 mins while I waited. I would highly recommend these folks.

I showed up for a scheduled oil change today and was turned away with claims that my name wasn’t written anywhere and they were closing in a half hour... 30 minutes should be more than enough time for an oil change, especially for someone who made an appointment. Unreliable and rude.

I was towed in from work right before these amazing guys were closing on a SATURDAY, in July and let me just tell you.. they still took the time to reassure me and treat me like I was FAMILY. They were KIND, considerate, patient, and never ever made me feel like I was an inconvenience to ANY of them. Did I mention it was like 94 degrees outside at the time. But all these gentlemen were cool as a cucumber. They showed me the accident debris in my tires that someone hadn’t cleaned up, in front of my work lot that somehow found it’s way into my tires. They also recommended what they felt were my best options. (Safest) Within an hour I was in my car and my evening was so much better! :) Thank you for being my heroes in this very sticky situation! I will never ever forget any of you. Stephen, Dan & Jesse you were so kind, thanks again! You rock!

Ive been going for pil. Changes and some service repairs off and on for over a decade. They always treat me with respect and dont pressure me into getting services done I cant afford. They are respectful of my budget and always do a good job. Never had any issues with them.

George and Dan took great care of me. Went in for an oil change and they showed me some other parts that needed to be replaced. Didnt push me to buy anything, but helped me understand what was going on. Highly recommend them.

I come here every time I need an oil change or tires. They’re great! The manager looks for discounts when buying new tires; saved me quite a lot. Today I had a flat tire and they got me in right away. Great service and quality work!Update: I came here for another oil change and a couple of other things. Monroe was able to squeeze my daughters car in for tire balancing on a Sunday. I had purchased 4 tires from Town Fair tires the afternoon before. I paid for balancing but when my daughter got on the highway to go back to school, the car shimmied. Of course Town Fair is closed on Sundays, but thankfully Monroe was opened and balanced the tires.

My experiences with the staff has consistently been a true blessing. I would have given a 5 star but there usually is an issue with parts, costs, diagnoses. But I do not hold the staff to that, unfortunately that has been across the board in all my car care experiences. Perhaps one day our country will truly allow honest business men and women to act in accordance with Gods laws and level of integrity rather than having to do the best we can with what we have available... But again the staff are all 6 star on a five star scale, hands down!Thank you for not only your services and integrity, but your unwavering consistency through all the political and economic storms!

On a Sunday, I got a flat tire in Rhode Island on my way to New York. Monro Service in New London, CT was open and able to assist me late in the afternoon. Manager Stephen, was very helpful with tire selection and put 4 new tires on my car in 30-40 minutes with the help of his fellow employees. I received excellent customer service and would recommend Monro Service to anyone in the New London area.

This was my fourth time visiting this establishment and I am so impressed with the way they treat their customers. They are the most friendliest workers and they do the best top notch job there. I am so grateful for all the work they have done for me these visits and always a great deal on their prices for the excellent job they all do there. I tell everyone about them. So honestly have never been to a better place. Between amazing customer service, affordability, and everything done in such a timely manner. I called very last minute and they were able to get me in so quickly. The guy Nik at the front desk is super easy to work with, showed me everything I needed to know and walked me through what was wrong with my car. Not many places will ever do that. They checked to see how my bearings are (because of this metal grinding sound) and they pulled me into the shop and showed me how bad it was and what was needed to get it fixed. They even went out of their way to check other things that will likely cause issues not far down the road. They did not fix anything without my consent, which is wonderful because I have been screwed over before, and had to dish out money because the last shop fixed things I did not ask then to fix.Overall, this is definitely a place you should always bring your car. I was not and you definitely will not be disappointed.

Fabulous place. We had a horrible flat tire on our full size van while on vacation. They were able to get 2 tires from another location to add to the 2 already in stock so we could get 4 matched tires. Even though they were down a tech we were taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. Julie and Bob are a delight to work with. If we lived in the area, we would be regular customers.

Just got an oil change and needed tire pressures checked. Tried to make an appointment online but response was sent to an old email but they fit me in. Did not have to wait, was done within an hour, they also checked battery, brakes and fluids and answered my questions. Very happy with service.

Im from NY and was stuck with a flat tire at 3:30 on a Saturday. After getting towed over to Monroe they got me new tire on and I got my wife and daughter home only a few hours later than expected. I had called every other car and tire place in the area. Everyone else was either not willing to start a new job at 4pm Saturday afternoon or already closed. Excellent service all around.

Made an appointment online to have an issue with my noisy exhaust checked. No fuss, no muss. Manager was informative and courteous. Waited about an hour and a half for service to be completed which in my mind was not at all unreasonable given how busy this establishment was. My problem turned out to be a pretty straight forward and easy fix and I was never pressured to buy anything unneeded or given any B.S. Ill be returning in a few days to purchase tires. Well done!

So I am a regular customer here. I have always gotten decent service. So when my husband got a nail in his tire I sent him there to get a plug. The tire in question was 1 week old. They lied and told him it was illegal to plug the hole because of the location. Therefore he had to purchase a new tire. It was late afternoon on a Saturday. When my husband took the tire back to the tire store they said it was totally fixable which they did for free. They also said Monro does this all the time. I hope they choke on the price of that tire we didn’t need to buy because we will never do business there again and will spread the word.

I was dropping my daughter at college and my car overheated. Not knowing where to go, I found Bill at Monro Muffler by it being the closest. He was incredibly helpful on the phone and even more so in person. Being that it was a Sunday, they were unable to get a part but offered to do a fix that could last for awhile. I was extremely grateful they thought outside the box. It was incredibly cheap and we were on our way. I highly recommend this establishment for their honesty and affordability.

Very glad I went there yesterday. Was unhappy with the service from my Subaru dealership and needed a new exhaust system. The shop is airy and shipshape and Bill and Bob, who run things, seem to have a great relationship with their customers, many of whom they treated as friends. Both handled my needs very professionally and I was pleased that they could do the work then and there without having had an appointment. I would have liked to have been informed that the delivery of the pipe, which I was told would be in ten minutes, would take a good deal longer. But I was willing to wait and delighted that the work cost much less than it would have at the dealership, and is fully guaranteed. Ill be going to them for all my service from now on.

Heard a windy noise which got louder as I accelerated. Took to Monro in New London. Took me in right away even though I had no appointment. They determined that I was low on brake fluid which they filled and then checked to make sure there was no leak. When I was ready to pay they said no charge. I am sure if I took to the dealer I would have waited for hours, paid a diagnostic fee, bought a full quart of brake fluid. Monro in New London gives great service. You can trust them that they will do the repair correctly at a reasonable price. They are the people that I go to for all my auto repairs.

Been getting oil changes here for years in my Subaru, like that they can often get me in without an appointment. Came in with a new vibration in the front end of my BMW X5, unusual for this vehicle. They checked it out on a Saturday without an appointment. They found asphalt had clumped into the treads of the front tires. Likely from the chip seal recently applied to my road. They scraped it out best they could and sent me on my way confident that it was not a safety issue. Always satisfied with their friendly service!

We scheduled an appointment online for today at 12:30, we came into this location and dropped the car off so we could walk around the plaza while we waited. Two hours go by without an update, so we decided to walk back and saw that our car was parked exactly we where left it. When we went inside and inquired about the status of our car, Bob said they were checking it. They didnt move our car to the workstation until we had walked out of the store to walk around the plaza some more. We have now been waiting here for 3 and a half hours and when we went to ask how much longer we were told its almost doneWere disappointed with the customer service we received today. We feel that they should have been more honest with us upfront, like, hey, theres a bit of a delay because a, b, and c so we havent been able to check it yet and given us a time frame so that we could have rearranged our day accordingly.

My husband and I have been Monro customers for years and they have never disappointed. Just last week I brought my truck in that I purchased 4 months ago for an oil change. They lifted my car up and noticed that due to rusting and corrosion on the frame my car was unsafe to drive. I was able to return my vehicle and they even offered to check out my new vehicle to make sure it was safe before I signed any papers. I am thankful for their honesty even though they had to deliver bad news, it potentially saved the life of my family. I would recommend them to anyone!

I got a flat tire in the highway and needed to replace the donut tire with a new one. I had a long drive ahead of me. Jesse from shop #194 got me in right away (when 2 other tire shops had 3+ hour waits). He was friendly, upbeat, and had me on the road in 40 minutes. I couldnt have been more impressed and thankful.

We were on our way up to RI when a strange humming was heard coming from the wheels where we just had a brake job done at a different shop in New Jersey. We stopped in and Bob, the manager, was able to fit us in. Great service and they were able to identify this issue quickly and we were back on the road quickly.

These guys really took care of me. Came in with a flat tire and bald breaks and left driving on four new ones with the most responsive brakes Ive ever used. I found my new auto shop. You should make it yours as well.

This place was great for many years and for the couple of years I moved away from the area, I would make it a point to get my oil changes exclusively here. But then there was a major issue. I had a bolt fall out of my lower control arm and this place missed it - which would be understandable if they hadnt been replacing my brake rotors when they missed it. I asked them to investigate the noise, which they assured me was my shocks going. A year later, they noticed the missing bolt and ensuing body damage during an oil change. I later found out why they didnt notice the first time - they never in fact changed my front brake rotors (which they charged me for after complaining to me they were warped). This was caught and brought to my attention by my dealer when my car was in the shop for an air bag recall. They also dont apparently know the difference between a water pump and an alternator. A few thousand dollars worth of damage to my car which now makes horrid noises and shakes like a derailing train due to their screw up. I normally leave good reviews for businesses but this one you need to inspect their work anytime anything is done - you may have a good tech, or you may end up with one that doesnt do what they charged you for.

I drive an hour from Rhode Island to Monro NL to have my vehicle serviced. Their entire crew is awesome, starting with manager Bob Schmidt. I recommend them all my friends and colleagues.

I get my oil changed and tires rotated here. Very polite and respectful staff. Bathrooms are very clean for a garage. Asked to have my back tires balanced before moving to the front, was told that one of the tires are worn smaller than the other that he didnt want to charge me for something i didnt need intill I get a fresh pair. Other places would have just charged me anyway.

I always go to Monro when I need work done on my car. I love that they have convenient hours, and find the staff at the Monro in New London to be extremely efficient and helpful. I also like that they have fast WiFi in their waiting room so I’m not bored while I wait. Definitely recommend!

I fixed wheel alignment and changed tire month ago.After alignment, power steering was tilt and seem that something wrong. So, I stop by my dealer service and ask proper inspection, they said do nothing . I request fix alignment to the dealer and paid 2nd time as for my car.I was temper and revisit to Monro so that can explain and claim. They understood and promise money back based on report to H.O. But still not reimbursement so far.Their CS is not efficiency.

Wow. I thought I was going to be in for a long and expensive day/night. While traveling home on a Sunday I noticed a high pitched squealing noise. I thought it might be a wheel bearing issue so I wanted to get it checked out. The staff immediately brought in my car after test driving it. They quickly diagnosed the issue, a rock was rubbing which was causing the noise. They gave me the rock as a parting gift and didnt charge me for the diagnosis. So saved me time and money.Great customer service and experience. I live 3 states away but will return!

Called in around 9am, they were able to get me an appt for 11am same day! Off to a good start already. I got there and all the mechanics had cars but somehow someway my truck was still able to get an oil change and a 32 point inspection and have me out the door in about 45minutes!! The guys are friendly, cool and patient through my millions of questions about different services. Lol they got themselves a new loyal customer.

4/14/18 Saturday morning, got me right in, started working on grungy rear brakes as I sat and watched the work through the observation window. Friendly service too.Update: 8/4/18 ABS and Brake light and Low Tire Pressure lights came on, they got me right in to replace wheel bearings. I was driving north from NYC and stopped at Monroe in New London because my air conditioner wasn’t working.They fit me in and fixed the problem for $140.00. They were so honest, professional and knowledgable.I will definitely schedule an appointment next time I need to have work done on my Nissan Rogue.
