This place is about good business. What you dont need fixed they will tell you. Very honest hard working people. Ive recommended about 20 employees and friends are now loyal customers due to there great service. The owners wife is great at trying to get you in on importance and he wont fix what doesnt need. Todd is awesome! Ive been taking my cars to Bennetts ever since I moved here 8 years ago. He has always done excellent work & very fair with his pricing. I wont take my cars anywhere else to get worked on even if hes backed up & I have to wait.

I take my car here normally. But today I took it in for a code that autozone showed. Paula called me to let me know it just seemed to need an oil change. My car seems fine, and they are actually an honest car repair shop!This morning when I took my car in I expected to pay 194 for the code autozone pulled... they were honest about what my car needed and didn’t just “take my money” like most other places!

They were great! They fit me in on a busy day, at the end of the day and fixed my seat. Other places had no clue how or if they could. Thanks guys!

I’d recommend this place for sure! Todd is very professional and respectful. His wife Paula is very Courteous on the phone as well. Had my truck towed there last night with timing issues. He replaced the plugs and wires, retimed the distributor and called me right away when it was done. I wasn’t without a truck for more than 24 hours. Was a very reasonable price as well! I’ll be going here with any vehicle problems from now on.

Todd Bennett is a fantastic mechanic and quite honest. We had a repair quote for 3k and he took a look at our vehicle and fixed it for $75. Not only did he save our check books, but he also has become our regular mechanic and we have never had a problem. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! And i do!

I have taken several cars into Bennetts for everything from an oil change or new tires to changing axels. I have also sent numerous people to this shop for their repairs. I have always gotten my vehicle returned either early or on time and in good working order. Todd (owner) is exceptional. He answers all the questions you have in a way that can be understood. He also doesnt try to get you to pay for repairs you dont need. I cant recall exactly how many times Ive used this shop but its been for the last three used vehicles Ive had. Every time I have had a great experience. I encourage anyone who needs repairs to check out this great shop!

Very knowledgable, forthright, delivers as promised or better. Speed and quality a huge plus. Its obviously a garage, and because they do so well in every other area, the lobby is understandably not the cleanest...but good enough to get the deals done.

The secretary is very friendly and easy to talk to. The owner of the place knows his stuff about cars that horrible at customer service. Will fix a problem that you came in with but will not diagnose what the problem is. Its best 2 looked at somewhere else like Tuffys which does it for free and have Bennett do it. Overall, if you have the money go somewhere else but if youre short on cash he will definitely do it. Just that you dont know if its done right. From 1 to 10 hes a solid 3.

My trucks power steering idle switch blew on me and I had no spare money and had to forgo bills to pay for a repair. The fact that they were honest, didnt treat me like i didnt know anything just cuz Im a women and didnt try top suggest things I didnt need was refreshing. They pointed out the problem very quickly and hunted around for my best price since I only had only so much money left to my name. They were super fast repairing my jeep once they got the part in the shop. They even pointed out a problem that was affecting my fuel efficiency. They are great at repairs, fast, and super nice even when they have customers like me who are in a literal panic over my only vehicle breaking down with no spare money to fix it! I will be turning to this ship for further work on my jeep. Im picky about who I let touch my vehicles and I finally find one local I can trust!

So, I took a leap and took my truck to Bennetts Pit Stop in New Haven. What a GREAT experience. I have ALWAYS went to Goodyear in New Haven and as aways, gotten ripped off. You pay for the name. I got tired of Goodyear charging me my WHOLE paycheck for the week. My heater blower was not working, i called Goodyear, they wanted $400.00 to fix it. My friend recommended Bennetts, I called them and they wanted $236.00. Needless to say, I took my truck to Bennetts. I am VERY VERY VERY satisfied with them. Paula, works in the office and was so nice and respectful. I felt like we had known each other for years. So, if ur looking for a new place to get ur car worked on at a reasonable but professional price, call Bennetts Pit Stop. You will NOT be disappointed. I WILL be going back.
