As Nashville evolves and continues to adopt the spotlight of the country; it becomes increasingly harder to find people like the Barkers’ who helped establish the city over the years. Randy, Lorraine, and Mia are some of the most polite people Megan and I have ever worked with. Not only are they very knowledgeable in their craft, there is no pressure or urgency to rush you into a decision. They truly care about your end result and hearing how happy you, and your significant other, are with your purchase. A very accommodating and friendly family-run business. I first met Randy who was very attentive and a great help, and then Mia continued to help me after that. I had a custom design in mind for an engagement ring, and she, too, was very attentive and had great ideas on how to bring the ring together. The end result turned out fantastic! They were respectful of my budget and were also very polite when I had an idea that wasnt going to work.

My boyfriend and I wanted to start designing an engagement ring. We each had a diamond ring from our grandmothers. We had no idea where to start. So, we googled some diamond companies around Nashville and visited the highly rated ones. We visited Rocks and Metals, King Jewelers, Diamond Outlet, Brentwood Jewelry, and finally Barker Diamonds. I wont get into what I didnt like about the first four, because honestly there was nothing wrong with some of them. It was just a gut feeling. From the beginning (mid-Sept) to the end (mid-Oct), I felt comfortable with Barker. Lorraine and Randy Barker are kind, honest, open minded, and of course very knowledgeable about diamonds. We brought in 2 rings to have all the diamonds liberated and we wanted to design something from scratch. We visited the store ~5 times over a couple of weeks until we had a design we were happy with. We were sent CADs (computer assisted designs) and then tweaked it until we were happy. They were helpful to suggest ideas of what would look good and what probably wouldnt. Without even me asking, Lorraine would order bands/rings into the store so that I could make decisions after seeing things in person rather than a picture online or in a book - much appreciated. In the end, we have together created something incredibly unique. I know that not everybody would like this ring, but I LOVE it and after all, thats the important thing, right? ;) Oh, and I was very worried about timing because my boyfriend and I were going to Europe at the end of Oct and I was hopeful for an engagement but thought there was no way it would be done in time. Well, IT WAS!!!

My fiance and I came into this shop, it was our first place looking and the family was so welcoming. Barker educated us on every type of stone, style, any thing you could think of he told us about! My fiance was able to customize my ring and it was such a smooth process! Ive stopped in twice now for a ring cleaning and each time Ive been welcomed with smiles, looking forward to getting our bands from here and more! (Plus they were very accommodating with our budget which is a win!)

I had my wedding set redesigned into a bracelet. It was an emotional time for me, as my husband had passed away a year earlier. I wanted my bracelet to look like my rings so I would still see the symbolism of our marriage. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!! Randy wanted to give me exactly what I imagined. With a few months until our wedding, my (now) husband and I went to Barker Diamond. Due to the unique shape of the engagement ring, I hadnt found an existing ring that fit it correctly, so we decided to have one custom made. We went to Barker Diamond after reading the reviews and because it was in a convenient location for us, and I could not be more happy about that decision! I had an idea of what I what I wanted the band to look like and the Barkers listened as I explained my thoughts, offering their suggestions and asking questions along the way. They made the ring in a timely manner and had wonderful communication, as well. When I picked up the final product, I was blown away! They did an excellent job turning my idea into reality, and I continue to be impressed over six months later with how perfectly the rings fit together. If I could give Barker Diamond 10 stars, I would!! I recently went back to Barker Diamond to get the two rings soldered together, and again, I am incredibly impressed. Great job, and great people!

They listened to what I was looking for and helped me recreate my ring for a really good value.My family is pretty set on Barker diamond as our go-to and after my experience, I dont see that changing. Randy and his family are absolutely great to work with. Their store is very intimate and not intimidating at all. Randy will take the time to not only learn about you, but also teach you a lot about diamonds as well.

Only place I will go to. They make you feel like your their only customer and service is awesome. They will gladly educate you and explain everything to you. Dont waste your time anywhere else. I asked for asscher cut diamond and they had several in stock. Try that anywhere else and watch supposed jewelers ask what is that. You wont be disappointed here.

Randy and the team at Barker Diamond are the best! Went in for the first visit as an inexperienced jewelry shopper and Randy dropped everything to give me a detailed class on what I should look for and what to value in an engagement ring. Never once did he try to pressure or sell me on anything which was extremely refreshing and made the process much less stressful.Once the ring was purchased Randy has continued to be a great support, always flexible to our schedule and our needs. Shopping for our bands was just as easy. We have moved away from the area but I plan to go back to Randy for any future jewelry purchases due to the trust I have for him and his team.

Randy knows the diamonds he sells sell themselves. Never once did I feel like I was trying to be sold something. I now know so much about diamonds that I didnt know because of Randy. He only carries top quality diamonds. He and his daughter Mia helped me pick out the perfect setting for my Fiance and the diamond literally sparkles in the dark.
