Absolutely the best place to come get a bite of ice cream with your favorite cookie.The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. It is our first time coming in since we were visiting the area and had an amazing experience. They are dog friendly so it was s plus for us!

I was in Nashville for three nights this past week as part of an Amtrak/plane trip to a few states. The Baked Bear surely showcases how awesome Nashville is. It was an ice cream experience like no other! Nothing compares. You pick out a cookie for the top and one for the bottom (you can mix and match if you’d like). Then, you choose your ice cream and toppings! You can even have your cookies hot pressed! The portions are huge and so is the energy of this awesome dessert restaurant. Everything about my experience here was memorable! Whenever I get the chance to be in the city again, I will be sure to come back more than once!

Let me start by saying, I’m new to the Nashville area and I was very excited about trying The Baked Bear. To my surprise, the customer service was absolutely horrible! I entered the establishment and there was literally no customers nor employees in sight. I waited for roughly 4 minutes at the counter before walking around to the side of the counter and I saw an employee. I didn’t want to startle her so I moved my keys around thinking maybe she would hear but no, she didn’t move a hair. I then said hello. If looks could kill, I would not be writing this review. She yelled for another girl in the back to help me. She came to the counter with a look as if I were a nuisance. She said do you know what you want. I said yes and then I saw there cookies in a pan and I asked what are those cookies. She said they were on a warmer to keep them hot. Side note, those cookies were absolutely cold and hard!!!!! So I ordered that cookie with two toppings. She literally sat the cookie on the counter and put in my total on the register and walked to the back. I literally could have left and not paid because she never came back. Being a honest customer, I paid and left. I will definitely not be visiting this establishment again!!!

The line can get long but it’s worth the wait. The cookies were fresh and larger than expected. They have a good variety of ice creams, cookies, and toppings. You can order with the cookies warmed (do it!).I really enjoyed the the blackberry crumble ice cream (sooooo good) paired with the red velvet cookie & gooey butter cake…but the red velvet paired with it better. Hubby tried a seasonal flavor that had cookie dough brownie and oreo(?) and he really enjoyed it. Definitely a calorie bomb but you deserve a treat…then go to walk it off downtown.

This place is so amazing! You can choose any type of ice cream and then smash it between the same or two different cookies! A brownie sandwich is amazing, too! The brownies are very tasty and moist.The cookies and ice cream are amazing. The staff are always fast and friendly. Highly recommend trying this place as it’s different than most ice cream joints.Don’t be afraid to get this delivered as the packaging is great and it stays pretty cold until it arrives.

It was okay... the cookies should have been softer. I basically had to picked up my chocolate chip cookie to eat it, instead of being able to eat it and the ice cream together with my spoon.

A must try! Customized ice cream sandwiches! You can build your favorite flavors and everything is simply amazing from the desserts, to the friendly staff, to the mural and fun photo ops. You can mix and match the cookies, which they can warm press for you as well when making your custom ice cream sandwiches. We are locals and come here often as the menu does change with the seasons!

This was hittin! Great unique dessert spot! The cookies are freshly baked each day. You can get your dessert how you want. We preferred our as sandwiches. You can get toppings either inside the sandwich, on top or even more ice cream on top! Very creative. Must try the Blueberry Crumble Ice Cream!😤

The staff was so nice. They greeted us when we walked in the door and were super patient with the group trying to decide between all the options. The butter cookie is bomb! The blue ice cream is delicious. It doesnt seem you can go wrong with any of the choices.

Ice cream sandwiches are on point. Great location. You can go there and not get stuck in all the downtown hustle and bustle, but no too far from downtown if you just have to go...lol my family and I will definitely be going back

MASSIVE ICE CREAM SCOOP. Lots of cool flavors for both ice cream and cookies. Ice cream sandwich is definitely big enough to share with two people. I recommend the Gooey Butter Cake cookie. We also had their signature Bear Batter ice cream which was delicious. Will be back to try other flavors!

OMG!!! Sooooo delicious 😛and I don’t even care for sweets!!! The cookies are so soft!!! If you make a sandwich, you pick out your top and bottom cookie and your ice cream in between and they warm it up for you. I went with my family at night after a big dinner and this really hit the spot. The place is small, with only 2-3 tables, so it’s more of a grab and go, which I think is better because you’re right in Midtown!

The flavors dont impress. Its mostly sweet, generous, and customized. Good for kids and interesting for the experience - once.

I went to the Baked Bear when it was nothing but a food truck in California. When I saw there was a brick and mortar in Nashville on my way home during my travels, I just had to stop. Im so glad we did! Even though it was slammed, they moved quickly and efficiently. My partner was blown away that he ordered the same thing as he did 6 years ago at the food truck and it tasted identical. Quality and taste are magnificent. I hope you make your way up North soon!

The actual building is really cute and trendy. The line moves fast. Clean. Good variety of cookies and ice cream available. We liked the ice cream wayyy more than the cookies- but it was all yummy. At first it may seem a little pricey- but the portions are big. The parking, however, is a nightmare. We went on a Friday night and had to circle around several times. Lots of pedestrians in the area which makes navigating the area in a car difficult as well.

It makes the awkwardness seem to just melt away, because with that dish in front of her you could be the biggest dork to walk Broadway but walk out of there with plans of that second date and a return trip to The Baked Bear. I finally got to try #TheBakedBear!!! It was amazing but, no more sugar for a few days... Lol!! Combo sandwich. Red velvet on top, cookies and cream on bottom. Gooey Butter Cake cookie. Butter brittle ice cream, and Heath Bar crumbs as a topping. 😋 (You choose your top & bottom, your ice cream, and your toppings)..and they can heat-press it so that the sandwich part warms up a little, but it doesnt melt the ice cream. *I highly recommend the heat press!

Last minute decision right before they close. Unique idea. Staff seemed a little overworked and ready to go home. Its loud which makes ordering a little difficult. There are also a ton of options which can be overwhelming. End product was good and all of it was consumed.

This review is just for the cookies as I have not yet tried the ice cream sandwiches! I was looking to surprise my partner on a hard day and had a dozen cookies delivered to him. They included an excellent variety of flavors, all of which were just so delicious. If I had to pick just one it would be the gooey butter cake. I look forward to stopping in to try their ice cream sandwiches soon.

You can smell the sugar once you step into this establishment, which I suppose could be either a positive or a negative. My wife, being the Jennys ice cream fanatic stated, the ice cream doesnt quite stand on its own like Jennys, but pairs well with the cookie and brownies they have making it great in its own right. The place was packed on a Thursday night, but the line moves quickly and the staff is friendly.

Long line on a Thursday It moved pretty fast though. But worth the wait. I would go back when Im in town again.

Excellent experience. Have eaten at Dozens of desert places and this is top notch. My family thoroughly enjoyed the “Southern Hospitality”. We were going to go to the milkshake spot in 3rd street, but they were closed due to the bombing. They even approached one of my family members who didn’t have a mask and offered a free mask so that everyone would be covered. Very impressed. We even bought a 6 pack of their fabulous cookies because they look and tasted so very appetizing. We will be back! Thanks a Million!

Honestly me and my husband were trying to go to Legend dairy but after we saw the line out the door all the way to the parking garage we said Nope. So I googled dessert places near downtown and the amazing Gem popped up. It’s a modern take on the age old Ice Cream sandwich. You pick your top cookie and bottom cookie/brownie flavor and then the ice cream you want for the middle and the topping. I got the brownie and buttercake for my cookie options and Bear Batter for my ice cream. It was soooo good. It was too crowded. There was easily accessible parking and the employees were so friendly and pleasant. We can’t wait to go back and take the kiddos.

My fiance and I ordered two pints of ice cream (salted caramel fudge and burnt smores) and a variety box of cookies - all delivered via Uber eats - and we were blown away. The cookies are delicious and soft, you can tell they are freshly baked. The ice cream was amazing too! Super impressed! Will definitely order again.
