Stopped by for coffee and enjoyed a delicious flat white! I also decided to try some avocado toast and that was equally tasty! There’s plenty of indoor seating as well as some tables outside on the patio!

This place was recommended for us, and we drove from Murfreesboro.Got here at three pm to be turned away because the kitchen is closed. Posted hours online and on the front says 3.Did not try the food. But accuracy in operations hours will be nice.

Decided to stop by to get a drink and some breakfast. Let me start of by saying this cafe is a super cute and definitely could be a place to get some studying done. However, the one star rating is because of the food quality and EXTREMELY slow service. I got a breakfast burrito and the potatoes were so undercooked I couldnt even stab my fork through them. We also waited 50 mins for two drinks (this isn’t an exaggeration). 50 mins for a latte and Arnold Palmer is quite ridiculous for a place that wasn’t even that busy.

I love black coffee so I ordered the drip. I think their water to grounds ratio was fine and it was fresh, but their choice of bean was not at all my taste. One of these ultra metallic ones (iron?). No other notes present. I guess some people like it, and if youre putting a ton of cream and sugar in it you probably wont notice how bad it is.

This place is so neat! The couple that own it are some of the nicest people I’ve met! I went there for a graduation party and they opened up the whole space to us like it was like our own home. I didn’t get to try any food but the coffee was REALLY good!!

I got some sort of strawberry latte from Makai. The coffee itself had good flavor, though didn’t taste the strawberry at all and I had so many coffee grounds floating at the top and at the very bottom that I had to strain it when I got home.

The setting is clean and fresh, bright and social. Its like being in a summer scene without the humidity- quite the escape from Nashville heat. The vast number of windows offer sweet views of Belmont. A variety of food options are available from a creative menu. I had scrambled eggs (slimey) with yummy gf toast and bitter greens (love the beets though). I should have stuck with gf toast. There was a wait, but coffee was outstanding. I had my usual- oat milk latte with honey... superbly crafted!

Had a huge piece of paper in my veggie wrap which I didn’t notice until I was chewing on a chunk of it on my third bite. Opened up the other half and found more paper. Off putting to say the least. Minimal response from the person at the counter.

The customer service is friendly, and it is a quiet place to study. One of my favorite spots to work at! If I could ask for anything it would be for a bike rack. The food and baked goods are delicious. I have been coming more than once per week. The price is great considering that everything is local and compostable! Very welcoming place

Coffee was good. Food was not good at all. Super overpriced and the quality was subpar (ie under seasoned, bread was dry, cheese in sandwich was literally a 1inch square in the middle of the sandwich?). Again, coffee was good and the shop has cute ambience/ friendly staff- just don’t get the food.

Makai was such a great experience. The baristas were incredibly kind and attentive. The vibe and choice of music was great and fitting for a lunch/espresso while catching up on work. And the catfish tacos..... I’ll definitely be back!

Coffee is something myself and many people like me are a little particular about. this establishment has a great selection of premium quality coffees to satisfy even the most sensitive palates. I try to stop by here on the way to the office as often as possible. the prices arent cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. if you ask me, its worth an extra buck for something that is satisfying and skillfully prepared as this!

Nice and open area to hang out in. The coffee I had (butterscotch) was very good. Unfortunately, I had invited an associate to meet me there and he told me that before I arrived he had, had a problem with the young woman behind the counter regarding a tax exempt form that he had requested because this was a business meeting for him.

I know many people who like this place, and I will say that the drink I had there was pretty good, but Im only giving it 2 stars because of how rude I feel the barista was. I met a few friends there and had obviously never been before. When it was my turn in line, I told the barista that I mostly drink my coffee black- his response was, Thats cool. Let me know when youre ready. Next! Like...no attempt at suggesting anything, didnt even offer drip coffee (which they apparently offer, along with regular hot tea, but neither is on the menu). I should also point out that it was NOT busy, so the expectation of assistance was not unreasonable. Overall, I got a very rude and snobby vibe the, and will be unlikely to return.
