Nashville Coffee Tour #5It was our first experience here and I absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere with rich, bold coffee. Hubs and I both ordered Americanos and we both enjoyed them. Our friends ordered a vanilla latte and a--get this--Turkish Delight Float! What!? He said it tasted like it!The vibe felt like a cool jazz lounge with a grand piano in the corner and brass instruments as decorations (and maybe people actually play them.) It reminded me of New York in many ways. The best part was it was open late and gave us a place to chat and hang out.We will definitely be returning.
Fantastic coffee house great vibe, they are a European style coffee house which means they serve coffee and alcohol all day so if you want a martini in the morning because its your day off, or an espresso at 10:00 p.m. because youre going in on the night shift, no judgment and they make the best Americano Ive ever had. I havent ever had their cocktails but I can vouch for the quality of their coffee. Also the vibe is fantastic very classy and they have live jazz on weekends!Do yourself a favor and go get an Americano at Americano!
Wow. This was the best americano I’ve had in my entire life. The owner Cody is an absolute artisan of his coffee craft. He took the time to explain their genuine single origin coffees and how they are sourced. He spent over two years researching and traveling the world taste testing before opening the shop. Truly incredible.
My husband magically found this gem our first day in Nashville. This place is awesome! Great service ~ the scones are so scrumptious I wish I had bought some our last day in Nashville but we didn’t have time. My husband had a hot tea beverage and I ordered the espresso latte. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable they also have some games you can play while sipping on beverages. The beverage menu is extensive offering coffee cocktails, regular cocktails, assorted coffee and teas, and some small pastries / a few food option like paninis. Definitely recommend coming here! Thank you for great service and delicious drinks~
Loved this place! Perfect meeting spot. Great vibes. Excellent coffee. Great food. Did I mention the vibe? Vintage boardroom, meets hipster chill, meets, industrial. Love this place.
The atmosphere here is amazing! The decorations and furniture give it a very cozy feel. Their coffee cocktails are really good and are worth trying! They dont really do much in the way if pour over coffee, if thats what youre wanting, but they have a lot of different espresso drinks. Overall this is a really great place!
I come here every now and then but I recently noticed the music is always the same and it would be nice if they played chill stuff but it’s literally the exact same songs, and variety would really add to a better experience.
This place is the definition of form over function. It is a nice little coffee bar, and the espresso is fairly good, but there are just some strange things that dont quite put it over the line from decent to good. This is a very instagram friendly place, and they really lean into that. Some of the coffees are served in extravagant, though not particularly practical uninsulated single walled glass containers. Uninsulated single wall glass + hot espresso = burning your hand with hot coffee. It is the strangest thing, Im sure there are presentable insulated glass cups out there, why not use those so people can actually drink the beverage when it is hot? This may have just been something on the flight, looking at other pictures from the business it appears most coffee containers arent single walled glass, but the point still stands. The coffee itself is fairly good, far from the worst Ive had, but also not amazing. I ordered a coffee flight to give a few different styles a try, which came on a floor tile matching the flooring in the building. It was a very nice reference, but let me say it was terrifying to attempt to balance three glass coffee containers on a single tile without any holders for the cups in it, and Im saying that as a one-time waiter. The macchiato was the best of the three if anyone is curious. The espresso was fine, no strong notes in it at all, and there wasnt any crema, but Im thinking that this is because it was a true single shot. Most likely the machine pours a double and then they dump half, but I cant say for sure. The food also is just decent. I would give it a miss, really. It is worth going to for the interesting environment, but the actual food and coffee is very meh. I havent tried the cocktails but if I go by again Ill be sure to do so.
Well done all the way around. The place looks amazing, server a great latte, and was incredibly friendly. The building itself is worth the visit, I would estimate it at leAt 100 years old. The best part is it is locally owned, unlike the green mermaid place that is a national conglomerate. Love places like this
Love the coffee & the vibe in this place.Heard some wonderful jazz tonight.
Love this place! Eric is such an incredible bartender and has the best custom cocktails up his sleeve. A connoisseur and conversationalist that has turned me into a regular!
It is unique to my acquaintanceship with coffee houses and cocktail lounges to find the spirits of both so intertwined and sophisticatedly expressed as they are throughout the Americano Lounge. It is as if someone’s soul was focused through a lens. Feel welcome when enveloped, for the buttery croissants filled with spinach and ricotta are dope
Our friends took us here on a whim and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Nashville. The guys behind the bar are friendly and helpful, passionate about remembering people and wanting everyone to feel welcomed. Atmosphere is 10/10, drinks are phenomenal. I got the Irish Coffee and I had to think hard on when was the last time I had a coffee cocktail this good (I was in the barista world for many years and I was beyond impressed). Will be coming back for sure.Random fact: if you own a Husky, you will click with everyone here. We have one so it worked for us ;)
I came here for the first time today, and this is likely going to be my favorite coffee shop! I love how they have actual places to connect and “linger”. The baristas were friendly and helpful, and the coffee and cocktails were tasty. Definitely recommend!
Best coffee/latte/espresso/americano/cappuccino in Nashville... and amazing cocktails too! The owners have amazing attention to detail, crafting beverages and environment into a one of a kind experience.
A hidden gem! Quaint, great atmosphere! And bartenders and owners are the best! Cant wait to return!!!
This place is slowly becoming a place I visit to do a little work and enjoy some great bourbon, coffee, or tea. They have a long shelf of bourbon sided with a ton off coffee and tea selections. The are knowledgeable, kind, and quick with their service. The environment is very laid back and relaxing. Ill definitely be back.
One of the best kept secrets in Nashville. Where music industry cats and coffee aficionados meet as they listen to quiet jazz or loft beats and discuss the latest trends. An old rustic grand piano sits in the corner and is well used by jazz musicians on the weekends. This place is the real deal. Nothing fake. Solid real vibe.
Environment. Coffee. Liquor. Cookies. All on point
Great atmosphere. Very kind and helpful staff. Maybe a bit pricey, but the phrase “get what you pay for” comes to mind, and they really do deliver. Very tasty beverages. We take our out-of-town guests here for a chill environment and good drink. Parking is usually easy to find on the street, but paid parking is available.
Ordered a muffin for $4.50, small coffee $2.75 tax and tip were $2.1 for a total of $9.35. A little pricey for a small coffee and muffin. Im typically ok with nearly $10 for a coffee and muffin but today that changed. After I finished my muffin and finished a work email I left the plate near the cash register and went to the coffee to go area to grab a lid. The barista grabbed the plate I sat down near the register (I put it there attempting to be kind as to make cleaning the area easier) he dumps the muffin wrapper in the trash can then hands me the plate and says do you mind putting this in that bus tub WHERE it belongs I was a little shocked as an overpriced item with an 18% tip usually deserves decent service. I get expensive coffee sometimes comes with a side attitude but Ive never had a server hand me a plate and order me to put it somewhere. I took the plate from the barista and promptly sat it down on my original seat.
I love this place, its been my office almost once a week since the tornado shortly before covid. The staff is so welcoming and kind, as far as the coffee Im no expert but its easily the best coffee Ive drank and I think that every time
Tasty cake, mocha, and affogato (sp?). Cute vibe. Baristas were very sweet and friendly.
My personal favorite coffee shop in the city. The entire staff seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all things coffee-related. They have coffee down to a science AND an art.Their beans are sustainably-sourced as well, and they dont cut corners to mass-produce them. I greatly admire this, even if it means my favorite coffee may not always be available year-round (thats hardly an issue anyway, as Ive yet to have a cup of anything from Americano that wasnt top-notch)
Smoky, rich, tasty espresso with good crema and lovely flavor overall! Cinnamon scone was wonderful! Great atmosphere and kind owner. Will definitely be back :)
Had a GREAT time with the folks here on opening day (and I was there for most of it, working). Their menu looks good but theyre coffee aficionados enough to make anything you ask for; the cortado they made me was fantastic. I also had some sort of iced espresso beverage (whatever was recommended, I just went with it), which was cool, creamy, and had just enough punch to help get me through the afternoon. Sadly I only had time to get one pastry, the spinach ricotta croissant sandwich (which I recommend at room temp) was flaky, crusty, and delicious.Aside from the drinks and food, the interior was also unique and enjoyable. The decor fit perfectly with their 1930s (hope thats the right decade) theme, and was comfortable enough to hang out in all day, with just the right level of noise to allow me to be productive. There are a lot of coffee shops both old and new in the Nashville area, and Ive been to most of them. Id recommend Americano to anyone who enjoys good coffee, a delightful atmosphere, and great conversation with those behind the counter. I for one will be back again soon.
Amazing coffee and cocktails. Friendly staff. Great location. Pleasant atmosphere. And locally owned. Check it out!
Great coffee, great sandwiches, great vibe. Reminded me of some of the better coffee spots in downtown Seattle. Will be going back.
Maybe my favorite coffee place in Nashville. Drinks are delicious. Great vibe. And as a guy who reads a lot, it is one of the only coffee places whose music is not obnoxious and I can read a book, but still maintains their atmosphere. LOVE.
Such a cool coffee spot. Super chill and menu was truly above expectationsCoffee cola was the most unique and delicious thing. It was AMAZINGCozy, vintage environment with excellent attentive service.
Such a cool spot! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The interior was gorgeous and modern.
Amazing coffee, perfect drinks and the perfect atmosphere. The team at Americano does a fantastic job. My wife and I constantly joke about how we wish their was one closer to our house! Do yourself a favor and go check it out!
Great coffee cocktails, cool ambiance and amazing staff!
This is a true lounge with café tables, arm chairs and sofas that is perfect to work from or just socialize! Coffee is roasted to perfection, which make any of the many espresso beverages delicious. Depending on the day there is live music in the evening with adult beverages to unwind.
The atmosphere is awesome. 1920s speakeasy. Love their Irish Coffees made with Tullamore DEW
Great selection of coffee, lots of variety on the menu, and even has a wide selection of coffee-based cocktails. I like that the coffee is organic and sustainably sourced. The staff is friendly and the seating is cozy. Easy place to relax and play a game of chess while you listen to the live jazz music they frequently have. Havent made them available as of Feb. 2019, but they will also have a selection of sandwiches and other lunch-type bites that Im excited to try. Overall really good coffee and great vibe.
Nice staff, great food and coffee
Great coffee and amazing cocktails
Arguably the best coffee in Nashville right now.
Really friendly environment thanks to the baristas/bartenders. Coffee and cocktails are always served, and it also looks like theyre expanding their food options. Pro tip: live jazz on Friday and Saturday evenings!
Best peppermint mocha in town! Also, their paninis are SO good.
Love it & they love my pup!!
Great coffee and laid back atmosphere
Just ‘discovered’ yesterday and stopped by for a meeting today. Love the vibe. Reminds me of NYC – the good parts! Stop in for a cup of joe, a cocktail and some jazz! ☕️ 🎶
This has been my go to spot every since I found it! Perfect for grabbing a drink with friends or just getting some work done. Great atmosphere and live music on the weekends! Not to mention the best cup of coffee in town!
First time visit this morning with my wife... I got a latte + bacon&egg croissant, my wife had a cup of drip and cinnamon roll. Everything looked and tasted great and the environment of the shop is very relaxing. Special shout-out to the staff who were super kind & inviting. We also witnessed another customer being flat-out rude to a barista regarding the indoor temperature and the barista handled it like a pro! Will certainly be back, thanks!
Best people in town serving the best coffee! Swanky little joint with comfortable couches and tables to work at. In addition to coffee/tea they make Italian sodas of any flavor with live jazz on Saturdays at 2pm. Croissant sandwiches will keep you coming back for more - trust me.
Best place in town to meet with friends for coffee or cocktails! Atmosphere is 1940s perfection with plenty of nooks and comfy chairs. Cody and his staff are warm and knowledgeable and consistantly make me feel welcome. Plan to return again and again.
✨Everything about this place is nice! The drinks, the workers and the atmosphere! ✨
Top Notch.Great coffee. Great atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent experience
Great chill vibe here. Had a great blueberry muffin and enjoyed my time here in a plush velvet chair. If you havent get your but in there!
Love Americano Coffee Lounge! The coffee is great, but the staff are even better. They are geniuses with flavor. I asked for a unique drink over Ice Cream and I enjoyed watching the creative process as they brought flavors to life with fresh ingredients and syrups. My daughter ordered a rootbeer float, and they made the soda right before our eyes with soda water and syrup. It was so fun!The decor is a refreshing respite from the yawn-inducing interiors of corporate-driven chain stores. Americano has created seating areas that fit small groups as well as individuals using a creative layout to separate areas of the shop. They have a stage with a gorgeous piano - I cant wait to catch some live music. And theyve thoughtfully created space for people who need to get some work done by having power outlets at several locations (I always look for plugs when I check out a new coffee shop).Cant wait to go back and explore more new flavors and drinks!
It was a chill out Saturday morning and it was perfect hang. Not too busy. Would be good if they can work out more parking in the future but since nobody was there was not a pain for me. Great cappuccino
This place is dope! Quiet yet alive vibe, great food and coffee, good people and pet friendly!
I had a delicious americano here (go figure). The vibe is very cool with comfy seating.
A friend and I visited Saturday night (5 October), and we were both thrilled with the atmosphere, the coffees (highly recommend the Bye Bye Blackbird), and the absolutely positive attitude of the staff. We ended up vibesurfing for a couple of hours that night and really look forward to doing so again next time we are in town!
Very tasteful! The food and coffee were sooo good! Perfect spot for two!
Great decor. Great mixed drinks. Havent had coffee yet but will try soon. This is a unique place for sure.
You won’t find better espresso in Nashville. They do everything else well, but the espresso is what keeps me coming back.
This is definitely a take on a trendy coffee shop located on a very busy intersection in Nashville. They had multiple options as far as coffee goes. Anything from pour overs, to lattes, to cappuccinos, you name it, they could make it. The staff was very friendly and quick to answer any questions that arose during my brief stay.
Very nice swanky atmosphere with great friendly staff . They greet you when you walk in ( which is unfortunately rare these days ) . Really good coffee too! Can’t go wrong .
Had a friend suggest that I go and check out place. Really enjoyed the chill vibe and was able to be productive while enjoying great coffee. The owners are awesome and engaging and genuinely care about the customer, product, and atmosphere. Definitely will go here again.
This place was incredible! The coffee is wonderful. My daughter and I stopped in and had lattes and a very enjoyable game of backgammon.
My friend and I found this place last night...it had a jazz band playing...he had green tea..I had a dirty chai... It was so good;)...the place was amazing!!!
Americano feels like a 1920s lounge. Relaxed, comfortable, and classy. Ive never experienced a coffee shop that looks like a New York speakeasy. Highly recommend.
Great place to sit and study or hang out. Latte was really good and baristas were friendly.
The coffee cola was amazing. The food was incredible as well. Employees are super nice.
Amazing new space designed to not be your typical coffee spot... chill vibe, great drinks, friendly folks, definitely a place that has potential to become your own personal Cheers, I think....definitely plan to revisit!
I loved the modern, yet comfortable design and friendly personalities of the owners. A great space for almost any purpose. I highly recommend it!
Very cool vibe. Great food and beverages. Very friendly staff.
Such a unique, cool space. The pastries are really good, the croissant sandwich is a must try. Of course, the coffee beverages are awesome, but so are the Italian sodas.
Man I tell ya. As a craftsman and hearing the story behind this coffee shop, i was impressed. Equally impressed by the consistant coffees and blends. Very nice shop.
Love the space, nice folks too. I ordered a 5 shot 16 oz Mocca w/ scone and it was $16.67.Obscene price, wow.
Very tranquil
Good variety of options and nice ambience
This place is awesome! We will be back for more drinks and beans!
Great atmosphere and even better service.
Great and chill place to hangout. Very good espresso!
Finally a cozy coffee shop in Nashville equipped with jazz, tufted couches, suede wingbacks and all the good quality drinks one can possibly need.
It was a little pricier than I expected, but the ambiance, live music, and great service was fantastic. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in Nashville.
