The absolutely coolest coffee shop Ive ever visited. Pictures dont do it justice, comfortable friendly atmosphere and great coffee. Wish I had come earlier to taste the food! They only serve food till 3:00pm.If I lived in Ashville this would be where I would hang out. Lots of comfortable seating, great music playing.Looking forward to my next visit to Nashville!
This was a really nice place to have brunch! They have coffee drinks and drink drinks as well. Food was solid, well priced, and well portioned. I got the Corned beef hash and my friend got the southern staple. For coffee, we got the brandy vanilla (a milky coffee) and the golden milk latte, which has turmeric. Servers were very friendly, and I loved the decor and atmosphere. Quiet with just the chatter of those around you.
What a delightful café. I came here for lunch on a recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. The interior is cute, welcoming, and warm. I ordered their Southern Staple biscuit (I made Nashville hot because I like it when my food hurts me) with a side of crispy potatoes and a Gingerbread Man for dessert. The staff were super nice, everything came out in a timely manner, and everything tasted good. I would not hesitate to recommend Stay Golden to anyone looking for a pleasant place to eat and enjoy some coffee. I look forward to coming here again.Edit: I came back two days after I posted this review. I had their Country Bumpkin biscuit (with avocado added), a Brandy Vanilla latte, and a Firelight. I loved all of it.
The Matchless Coffee Soda is truly incredible, my espresso shot was pulled perfectly, and the food was delicious. Beware however, their Nashville Hot is hotter than expected!
I was excited to try a new coffee place, however, sadly this place was dissapointing. I ordered a Golden Milk Latte and an Avocado Toast, the latte took a while but the toast took around 40 minutes. Im only giving it two stars because the toast was good and the place was very clean. I hate to be that person but please attend quicker.SO IM BACK. And I am changing my review to 5 stars. They reached out to me and offered me a gift card so I could come back. After some time, I did, and I do not regret it at all. The service was much better, the food came fast (about 8 minutes) and the coffee was on my table within 4 minutes. Visit this coffee shop, the prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for. Thanks!
Such a great breakfast place. We had a large group upstairs and the staff couldnt have been any nicer. Great decor and most importantly, great food. The biscuits are legit. Cant wait to go back.
Las Margaritas is coffee of the year. At a stronger dose, it is a sweet plum bomb. Slightly weaker and those spice notes start to shine more. Today it tasted like sweet watermelon (a welcome surprise!). We bought a second bag, which we never do and we live in CO!
Ordered breakfast. Bacon was excellent. Crispy potatoes were pretty good. Eggs ok. The crispy waffles were good. Biscuit was great. Didnt get to try coffee this go around.Note: they dont have granola on the weekends for some reason. We had a business meeting and called Thursday to see is we could preorder for a business meeting Sunday, but they said to call Sunday 45min early. They didnt answer their phone for 30 minutes. We ended up having to go in to order, making us late getting food and thus late starting our team meeting.
When in town, if you’re hungry for great food in a fun atmosphere with a world class chef and servers who care about their customers you’ve got to try Stay Golden. Can’t say enough about their delicious breakfasts which tastes like home only better! (Sorry Honey.) But she knows it’s true. I couldn’t believe the hearty choices on their menu. Stay Golden delivers on every level. If only they delivered to my door every morning! Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in town. There’s a hot chicken waffle dish calling my name.
This place was very basic nothing separating it from any other place. With that being said probably would not go back or recommend this place. Also it’s sort of “Fast food style” where you order and pay for your food in the front. But they bring your order to your table. That’s about all the service you really get. Food was good at the very least
This spot undoubtedly has very good coffee. the Cuban latte is my favorite and I want to try more of their seasonal coffee drinks. The cinnamon bun is very good. My husband and I visit here almost every Saturday because we are crazy about the coffee. we purchase beans here to brew at home during the week. The food the past few visits has been not as hot as it should be. I feel the system of food prep/delivery needs some work.
Everyone is very courteous & polite. Packed house with a line for breakfast at 9 am but they all worked hard together as a team to take orders, bus tables & seat people. They have a balcony area above main dining that creates a cozy space with a view. I enjoyed my time. Food is great with good portions. They sell their own bagged coffee & have coffee drinks for order. Great atmosphere to hang with friends or have some personal downtime.
On my God! Fantastic! Great food, incredible coffee. Service is friendly and smart: after you order, you are assigned a table. Excellent COVID protocol.
Stay Golden is the place to go for breakfast, brunch or anything in between! Anyone raised on mama’s or grandma’s Southern biscuits will feel right at home after one bite. Anyone not raised on them, needs to try them to see what you’ve been missing all these years. Creative takes on classic meals. Your tastebuds will thank you. What a treat!
First time stopped by. This restaurant has a good environment, friendly service, nice loaded crispy potato, but I am not very satisfied with the avocado toast. The toast was burned and hard, the egg on top was salty. Honestly, I can make an avocado toast at home that taste a lot better, cheaper and healthier.
Hidden breakfast and lunch joint off in warehouse district on sidco drive. This industrial restaurant has hand made coffee drinks and organic local grown ingredients. The biscuits were especially great. Note free parking which seems like a strange thing to point out but these days in Nashville you basically need to add parking cost to your meal budget.
Local favorite. Mid century modern style. Best avocado toast in the area.
Amazing food and coffee. Tiny place to order. Sunday brunch was lined out the door.
I want to love this place. The vibe is cool and the staff wants to bend over backwards to make things right.Problem is, they cant seem to get it right from the start. And the service is very slow.Im an avid coffee drinker, but theirs was undrinkable. SOUR. The potatoes were dry, burned, and unseasoned. The specified extra-crispy please bacon arrived floppy. They did bring more, but as a customer you leave feeling guilty for not getting or enjoying what you paid $30 for.Still, the gluten-free biscuit sandwiches were delicious, even if they do upcharge $2.50 for g-f.The venue is really the star of the show here. Tucked away off a Thompson Lane side street, parking is plentiful. Stairs are a requirement. Seating is utilitarian. Music was 80s pop.Definitely not my first choice for breakfast, but we may give it another try.
Great vibes, small but mighty breakfast menu, unique coffee based drinks.
Upscale coffee shop in a factory settings, with delicious house-made food. The biscuit sandwich was really better eaten with a fork and knife, but totally worth it. That crumbly biscuit was so good. And the potatoes were crispier than any Ive had, in the best way. Chilaquiles with chips almost like pita chips, and all of it went great with their (very spicy!) house hot sauce. The tablet menu system is convenient, but we had a few hiccups with it. The staff members were very patient and attentive to us. Im sure theyll work out the kinks after a few weeks.
The southern staple biscuit was SLAPPIN’. But more impressionable was the barista, Peter. He was superb - so kind, extremely helpful and very patient. 5 stars for Peter. Cheers
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special bar .
Wonderful coffee and food. A family favorite.
I stopped by Stay Golden to grab some fresh roasted coffee beans they had a really great selection. All roasted within the last 2 weeks The person working behind the counter was super helpful came out and told me about his favorite coffee. I went with an Ethiopian, wow it is really delicious. they had a full bar and kitchen on staff but I was just there to grab some beans. Ill have to check out the rest of the place another time.
We had a wonderful experience at Stay Golden! Friendly, helpful staff and fabulous food. I had the chilaquiles. Perfect! My husband had the New Standard. Another winner. I kept stealing crispy potatoes. They really ARE crispy - and they stay that way. Also, the angel food cake is the best I’ve ever had. Fresh strawberries and a strawberry sauce that had me licking the plate!I learned the restaurant‘s name came from the Golden Rule - “Do Unto Others...” Love that! It gives the place a great vibe.
I bought coffee beans from this place. The staff was helpful with explaining the different varieties of coffee they had available. All staff were wearing masks at all times. You get a free coffee with every bag of coffee beans you buy, which is pretty neat. The entrance has a way to open the door without using your hands, which is nice- would be great if they had that on both the entrance doors. Social distancing markers were clear, and theres plenty of parking available as well. Overall, a great local coffee roaster and coffee shop.
Stay Golden has always been a favorite of mine but my experience today was so amazing that I couldn’t help but want to leave a review to say how wonderful you all are doing. The hospitality/service industry is a weird one right now and it can get exhausting to enforce rules and guidelines while still making costumers feel welcome and cared for. But your entire staff did this with an ease that was nothing short of impressive. Honestly some of the happiest and friendliest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. Not to mention the food, which always blows my mind (those potatoes!!). All in all, I legitimately left feeling like that was the best coffee shop experience I’ve had in a long time, if not ever. Thank you all for being the best!
Coffee: 5 starsFood: 4 starsStaff: 1 StarThe upstairs staff was not helpful, not attentive and overall poor quality. The hostess Grace was very kind, but our waiter was horrible. The coffee was great, loved it. The food was ok, (going to give it another shot) but the two staff upstairs need improvement. Will give this place another try and hopefully it will be better.
I’ve never left a bad review before but my experience was so terrible that I feel I need to. If you want a coffee, just go somewhere else. There are plenty of fantastic coffee shops in Nashville/Berry Hill.I walked in just wanting to get a latte to go. I waited in line for 15 minutes, placed my order, and waiting once again for my latte. Nobody sitting down had masks on even though there were multiple groups of people who had no food or drinks and were just taking pictures of each other. I waited in the dining area surrounded by these people since there is no where else to wait. There were 3 people in the barista area working but only one was making drinks and I have never seen a human move slower. I stood there for 15 more minutes waiting for my latte and he had only made one drink in that time. I ended up leaving after 30 minutes without my $8 latte because I couldn’t take it any more. Terrible service.
Their Cuban was AMAZING...and breakfast with gluten free biscuit was delicious as well. :)
Coffee and mimosas were great! Super cute place
Amazing little spot! Online touch less ordering, social distanced seating and beautiful ambiance. The kitchen has glass walls allowing you to see them prepare and cook the phenomenal food! Highly suggest the yogurt bowl! If you come for lunch the drink selection is out of this world!
Waffles. Donuts. Specialty Cuban Coffee. The talented kitchen staff create amazing waffles, southern style chicken and biscuits and if you like fried potatoes, try them here! The interior is simply elegant and extremely clean with high traffic areas kept sanitized!
Unbelievable, it’s the best breakfast place in Nashville!
Good pricing and options for coffee snobs of all types! Can’t speak to the food, but it smells and looks great. Staff was friendly. Environment is sort of business casual- not so much the homework or book reading coffee shop. But a great spot that’s easily accessed and has free parking.
Awesome biscuits... as in best Ive had here in 8 years. Flakey yet moist. A meal into themselves. Prosecco based drinks were fresh yet a bit flat but the steak and eggs with crispy potato was amazingly delivered. Highly recommend.
Food was great but the cashier was an absolute jerk. Never been here before, so we didnt know what the protocol was. We had someone wait in line to place the order and the others sat at a table. Instead of just asking us to move to one he assigned, he made a huge deal out of it and talked down to everyone. How about next time you... there wont be one, bud.
This not a coffee shop, this is a sit-down venue.Overall, I liked it quite a bit, but didnt love it.The gingerbread coffee was to due for and it was the first time in my life that I has over-medium eggs cooked correctly at a restaurant. And the apple cider glazed donut holes were beyond awesome. Those were the highlights. This place is pricey, however, and the prices are a little uneven. Its $3 for a cinnamon roll and also a cookie. The portions were substantial and everything is made fresh. The kitchen is all glass so you can see everything happening which is also fun. They have a fairly limited kids menu, but the regular menu is pretty kid-friendly and there are LOTS of high chairs. The service was overall good, although our server got reassigned to another section and it took a bit for someone else to cover us.The bathrooms are lovely but literally outside down a corridor and far away, so accompany the kids. The decor is a great early modern mix, the tabletop and the cut glass tumblers reminded me of my grandmothers house. All in all, a good experience. Im game to go back. Sunday morning was busy but not slammed, lots of families with kids which was fun for my kids. Its definitely a fancy upgrade to the Sidco area.
I have been here multiple times and its always a great food and service experience.
Stay Golden is my go-to coffee shop and quick bite. Their quality of coffee and food has never disappointed me, and I’ve been there countless times. I’ve never written a review for any place before, but I felt it was worth it for SG. I am a brand loyalist when it comes to them. They’ve done a wonderful job staying afloat and remaining kind and as efficient as possible through the pandemic while not sacrificing their quality. I highly suggest their breakfast tacos and an oat milk latte. They can’t be beat in my opinion.
Update: Lowered rating. Lately the food and coffee has been hit or miss. Hoping it’s a temporary setback.Stay Golden has my favorite latte in Nashville. The Gingerbread Man Latte is a must try! All of the specialty lattes are so creative. The food is also very delicious. Great staff and service!Tip: I would skip the pastries. I have tried just about every pastry and they are always stale and very odd tasting, leaving a strange aftertaste in your mouth.
Amazing food and very friendly staff. Nice place to grab something quick or sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.
Hot chicken and waffles are awesome!
Had a great first experience! Good COVID procedures in place. Friendly and fast service with delicious flavors and smooth espresso. Would absolutely make a trip back.
Hands down one of the best breakfast and lunch spot! Right beside Paddywax Candy store and interior design shops!! You have to try one of their signature coffees! Sit inside to experience the minimal yet sophisticated ambiance! They also have outdoor seating!!!
Nice place, good atmosphere.Love their coffee, but the chicken was not well done.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Their incredible food is sourced as local as possible, supporting our farmers around Nashville and making their restaurant more sustainable.Every time I walk in, (which is a lot because I’m obsessed with the coffee they roast!) the atmosphere feels light, open, and peaceful. I’ve found that it’s the perfect place to have a business meeting or treat my friends to breakfast or lunch. Most importantly, I care about the people I’m supporting when I spend money somewhere. From the thoughtful owners to their amazing staff, these people are some of the highest quality humans with the biggest hearts I have ever met. I can tell that they deeply care about the experience their creating for us folks in Nashville, and I could not be more appreciative.
The food was so amazing I forgot to take a picture before I dug in! This place is absolute perfection in every way. Truly warm and authentic folks who seemed genuinely interested in connecting and making us feel welcomed. Even the short conversations left a long-lasting impression. and the food is AMAZING. The whole place smells like roasting coffee and the latte was memorably good- seriously, I will remember how great this latte was. We got the chicken and waffles and southern style biscuit (Nashville hot style)- both were delicious. You wont regret checking this place out. So so good.
Pristine presentation, superlative service, creative coffee cocktails, exceptional espresso, fashionable furnishings, plentiful parking.
Very impressive. The breakfast sandwich was great. The salsa verde marmalade took it to another level. I cant say enough about the crispy potatoes. They take whole, cooked potatoes and break them into bits by hand then fry them perfectly. The tedious work pays off! The coffee was very good too. The restaurant seems out of place in its location, but Im really glad I gave it a shot. The only thing I didnt like was the iPad ordering system. Ownership, if you are reading this: Get rid of the iPads and let your servers do their job. They are very friendly and you discount that by giving me a screen to interact with. I will be back often, but will be ignoring the iPad.Update: No more dealing with iPads! The servers do it now!
Great food, inviting/interesting atmosphere, and seemed to be welcoming folks that work there.
Very fresh and super quick service
Loved the atmosphere, great service! The food was absolutely fantastic very flavorful, and the coffee was just perfect! Service was quick and no what on orders. I will definitely be back for breakfast and coffee .
We visited Stay Golden, 2934 Sidco Dr #130, Nashville, TN 37204location this morning, we waited 27 minutes to get to the line . Only one lady taking the order . The food and drinks got to the table after 15 minutes of the order. The chicken was uncooked. So spending $35 and waited total of 42 minutes to eat. Is not worth the time nor quality of foodGet Outlook for Android
I don’t understand how this place isn’t rated 5-stars because it was SOOO GOOD!
Ughhh! This is my new go-to spot. Every item on the menu just sounds amazing, the staff is friendly, fast service, great amazing tasting food and coffee! Love it
Good food but expensive. Not much on the menu.
Knowledgeable service with amazing coffee... so good
I forgot to take a picture but the food was really good I got the nashvilles hot chicken and waffles the service was outstanding the only reason I would give him four stars in because the food that I ordered price did not match what was said on menu
I love this little brunch spot. Their Chilaquiles are delish! Also love their classic American Breakfast. Ive never had their lunch here, but it looks tempting when I go for brunch. On their website it seems like they have some weekly promos, so that is something to consider if youre going Monday-Friday.Their lattes leave a little to be desired... I would stick to regular drip, personally. Good size mimosa carafe. Its a nice casual brunch experience and probably the nicest place this side of Thompson Lane for a quick bite.
Third time here. Delicious food, tasty coffee.
Very nice place 😍💯
Such a cool little spot. Good was GREAT! The staff was super friendly and the coffee will get your life right. The loaded breakfast potatoes and the corned beef hash were perfectly seasoned. Compliments to the chef.
Some of the best food and coffee in South Nashville. The new structure of flow is the only reason I would deduct stars at all. Instead of going in, getting a table, and ordering with a waiter or waitress, everyone now has to wait in line, whether it is for a cup of coffee for one, or a full meal for 8. It has made it nearly impossible to stop in and grab a cup of coffee in a hurry, and thats truly all I want to do some days. Ill never stop supporting, but I do wish there was an easier way to come and support more often.
If you’re looking for good food, do not go here! The eggs were runny. There was no jam and butter for the biscuit. There was no salt and pepper. The bacon was dry. There was literally no service. It was a waste of time and money.
One of the best brunch places around! The food is delicious and the coffee is just as awesome! They have mastered the no contact process.
Killer food, great atmosphere.
Good choice. Coffee is great, food is great. People are great.
We waited waaaay too long to get food. The line to order moved insanely slowly. You finally get to a table and they bring your drinks but your food will probably take another 30 minutes or more to get. We’ve been here over an hour and still haven’t gotten our food.Update: management made it right and we really appreciated the response.
Great customer service. Will repeat!
Amazing breakfast taco, excellent chai (not too sweet which I love)! Will definitely be back—rare to find coffee shops with great drinks and food.
Love this spot! Wanted Crema coffee but they were closed. I’m glad because this was actually better! Food was amazing too. Great service!
My wife and I have lived in Nashville for 8 years and we’re excited to hear a new restaurant was opening near us. Stay Golden exceeded any expectation we had. We’ve made the breakfast sandwich a weekly ritual and would put it up against an breakfast sandwich in Nashville. If that’s not good enough the burger is fantastic as well. Overall love this place. Environment, people and food all get 5 stars from me.
Amazing food and coffee! Service is a little slow but not too bad. Love the decor! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!I love the Shakshuka.
They had one Hispanic oriented item on the menu which, although hesitant, I ordered. It was perfectly balanced. The spice was just enough but the flavor of the salsa was one of the best Ive ever tasted. Im from out of town and was just passing by but if ever given the chance to detour out of my path to eat there again, I would without hesitation.
Definitely take the time to visit this coffee shop. The staff is incredible, knowledgeable and friendly. They know where they get their food, have a garden upstairs and take extra care in knowing everything about what they serve. Breakfast, brunch, happy hour; you cant go wrong any time of day. I highly recommend The Good Morning hot or indulge in a coffee cocktail. Cant wait to go back!
This place lived up to the reviews!!! Food wasgood and tasty. Staff was friendly and gave excellent service. Coffee to die for and fixed your way. Nice new addition to the neighborhood. We need more places like this and Stay Golden should really thrive.
This is hands down my favorite new Nashville spot! The space is beautifully designed and the drinks are inventive and delicious. The food is next level and everything Ive tried so far has been incredible. Love that we now have amazing food and coffee in Berry Hill! I will definitely be a regular!
A gorgeous place with great coffee, attention to detail, and fantastic food. It doesnt get much better than this!
