My husband and I walked into the shop and straight up to the counter in the EMPTY shop. Asked the young woman where the restroom was and she told us that they were in either direction up and down the long hallway. We had JUST entered the building and decided we wanted some coffee. I explained that due to recent health issues my husband needed one NOW! I asked where the closest was. She told us to try the right. I told my husband to go on and I would get our coffee. She asked what I wanted and I asked for 2 cups of coffee. Lord forbid. Then I committed the unforgivable sin of asking for sugar and extra cream. She informed me quick and in a hurry that it was at the end of the counter. She then gave men the total. Almost $8 for 2 small cups of coffee. I was never given an option. Which was probably a good thing I later found out. I handed her a $20 and she informed me that they didnt take cash. I almost walked out at that point, but I didnt want to upset my husband, son I pulled out a card and paid. I was then instructed that my coffee was at the other end of the counter. I picked up the first very thin cup, full of very hot coffee and quickly asked the very nice young man working with her for 2 cup sleeves. He informed me that they didnt have them. As I was making my coffee she came up and asked if I needed more cream. I dont think by her attitude that it was out of concern, but more her wanting me out of the shop. I made my own cup sleeves out of napkins and we left the store. When I walked out in the hall and turned to the right, the restroom was approximately 3 doors down and Im pretty sure no more than 20 ft from theirs. You can not tell me she didnt know that or couldnt have asked another worker. Her attitude is horrible. She really needs to find a job other than retail. Thanks to her, I have made 2 trips to your establishments. Thankfully it was all in one trip. My 1st and my last. 6/19/21 1:20pm approximately.
Didnt have as great an experience here as at the Five Points & Germantown locations. Ordered an espresso and a bagel with butter & apple butter (there were no other food options, unlike at the other locations). The barista added sugar to my shot for some reason. On the bagel, the barista put on pats of butter but didnt spread them, but did spread the apple butter, so it was getting soggy before I started to eat. I should have asked if those things came on the side, but it would have been nice if the barista asked too.
I really love this cute little coffee shop. The hot masala chai lattes are the best.
This particular coffee shop does not accept cash! Not sure if the others do or not but I would seriously question the legality of that.
Cute little shop but the employee couldn’t have been more rude.
Every time I go to any Barista Parlor I feel like the barista is looking down on me for ordering coffee. Like they have ascended to a higher existence where coffee is beneath them and they have moved on to greater things and only work as a barista to get to know the common folks. But, I will continue to return because even though I feel like my soul, nay... my very existence is being judged... the coffee is amazing.
I ordered a cortado and it tasted great, however that was outweighed by the instant change in the attitude of the girl that took our order when my husband ordered hot chocolate. She didnt even try to hide her disgust at him ordering anything but coffee. The hot chocolate came out completely unpalatable. We both took one sip and couldnt finish it. Our experience at a different location was great. Its very disappointing to be treated this way.
I will just say that for having visited a few coffee shops today (including your Germantown location), Preston at this location gave the best service by a long shot. And I didn’t even buy anything. Super friendly and actually took a moment to chat.
Can’t speak for the coffee here. The menu is limited and none of the coffee choices were appealing. Instead, we opted for the maple doughnut and a pumpkin cheesecake doughnut. Both were fresh, fluffy and amazing.
The only thing wrong is not having one of these in Murfreesboro. Just sayin Great atmosphere, superb coffee & the vanilla bourbon latte is perfection in a cup : not too sweet & you can fully taste the espresso, which is smooth not bitter as the beans are roasted right not burned. Consistent in every location.
I love the other Barista Parlors this one however is not the class of Barista Parlor I have grown to love. I was treated poorly from start to finish. They don’t have pour overs and the wait staff goes out of their way to treat you like scum.I really would never go back to this location, I’d opt for no coffee than having to deal with the Baristas here.
Great coffee and great service. Everyone here is awesome but Preston is the best
Great coffee and nice baristas, never ever have had to wait to order.
Solid coffee shop with great coffee, would love it if they were open earlier though.
Little food, expensive
The coffee was good but crazy expensive. To me its not worth it
Super cool place to go some of the best coffee in the city and specially the whiskey camel super friendly service great atmosphere
NO POUR OVERS As a little coffee shop/kiosk to support a business cluster, this is great. If you’re expecting full on barista parlor, you won’t get it here. after visiting the other three stores, I sought this one out out of curiosity and regretted going to the effort. Very small, minimal seating, they don’t do pour-overs.
Nice little coffee shop.
Great coffee and a nice atmosphere! Glad it’s nearby, we’ll be there again soon.
Basic, bland, overpriced drinks. Indifferent staff. A real letdown.
Dope
