Chef Catimoto doesnt know what they are talking about. Maybe they are eating too much cat nip and not focusing on the art of creating a great coffee because thats exactly what the baristas at 8th & Roast are doing. This place is delicious and if you are in the mood for great craft coffee, give this place a try.

Coffee was good, plenty of indoor hang out space. It took a bit long to receive my order but they may have been short staffed. It was pretty busy on a Saturday morning at 8 am so must be good!

Discovered this place on a Saturday morning and was so happy that I did! Parking was fully available, and even though there was a short line - my coffee and breakfast came up quick! Really loved the iced coffee options and flavors! Sat for a while and did some work, it’s a great atmosphere!

Was in town for a 2 day trip and needed a breakfast spot close by. Ordered online (seamless process). While en route needed two additional items added to the list so called ahead and added items to my order. All within 15 minutes had 4 sandwiches and 2 coffee cakes. Best coffee cake I’ve had in a long time! This is a must when I return to Nashville. Staff was friendly & accommodating.

Coffee is $2.50 and their beans are delicious. Their French roast is great, its a nice dark coffee with hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. The whole place is well-lit with lots of tables to sit at. The staff is very friendly, and happy to help. This is one of the better new coffee shops Ive been to here in Nashville, and definitely worth a stop.

I had an orange blossom latte and I cannot stop thinking about how awesome it was. So yummy!The foam was also top notch. I wish I lived in the state to partake more often.

Accessible front entrance with plenty of seating. Lots of folks tapping away in their computers and hanging out chatting. But you gotta pay to play...seems fair!Bought a bag of their espresso beans for home.

Coffee was sub-par and over priced. If you want to make yourself seen and heard, pretending to be the most important transplant in Nashville, then I guess this place is for you.

Love this place! My husband comes here often to work and loves the coffee. All of the food is great, and the hot chocolate is my favorite (I don’t drink coffee, so I get hot chocolate whenever we go out and this is my favorite hot chocolate, and the pretty latte art is a fun touch)! Service is also always friendly. The ONLY gripe is that they have a BEAUTIFUL coffee roaster and they keep stacks of huge grey plastic trash bins in front of it, which ruins the view of the functional art. Besides that, great vibe to the place!

I really liked my Horchata Espresso latte so much that I think its my new favorite drink, too bad its seasonal and I dont live nearby. My boyfriend said his mocha latte was better than the S brand.

Really cool set up inside, plus great rich smells with the roaster on site. Specially picked roasts for each of the brew methods which we love they did that. We were really impressed by the prices and service!

The blueberry & lemon scone was great. Coffee was good but parking was horrible. If you pull into parking area, it is very hard to turn around if their arent any spaces to park left. You cant tell if there are openings before you get up inside the parking area. If you do have to turn around & come back out, youd better be in a smart car! Picture Austin Powers driving the cart in Dr. Evils lair.

Great experience today!!! My wife and I stopped by since we were in the area for visiting family and they recommended here. I went with the cortada con leche and my wife Americano. I can tell the quality in the way they roast the beans not over processed and truly take into account the essence and flavor of the coffee. Staff was very friendly and they were a breathe of fresh air during these times. I cant wait to come back and try again and hopefully open one near me soon.

Always a solid place for good vibes, great coffee and interesting food. The staff are mostly great. Yesterdays occurrence not so much... the girl taking orders was sitting on her phone 5 ft. away while I stood there waiting. I had to say hello to draw her attention away from her phone.

Coffee was great! Bakery is disappointing. We ordered a chocolate hazelnut scone and when we received it it reeked of bacon. Tried a bite but couldn’t get over the faint bacon taste/smell. I’m sure some people wouldn’t mind, but really off-putting if you don’t eat meat.

I really enjoy coming here!! The chai tea latte is the best! They also have multiple non dairy milks to choose from! The macadamia is my favorite :-)

I wasnt impressed. The food appeared to be reheated, instead if freshly baked or prepared, and really wasnt that special.The service was friendly and the personnel was very kind. The atmosphere in general was ok.

Good tea, good snacks, friendly baristas, and a fun atmosphere. I can usually find a table to work at just fine. Parking can be a bit full sometimes even with the garage, but thats to be expected in Nashville!

Love this space so bright and airy. Their lemon Myer yogurt bowl is my favorite brunch item on Saturday morning after shopping the amazing Richland Farmers market.

The original location on 8th has been my favorite coffee shop for a while, with delicious pastries (that are fresh, unlike most coffee shops), perfectly pulled espresso, and consistent drip coffee. The hospitality is also incredible. This Charlotte Ave. Location is going to be my new favorite place to study. Ill be spending many weekend afternoons here. Lastly, I love all the light in the Charlotte location, it contrasts the original locations old brick building, but still maintains their identity.

Have came here once or twice before and always really enjoyed the food and coffee.. Today unfortunately was a bit different. Was having a meeting and the place didnt seem too busy however, with only 5-7 people that were in front of me it took roughly 20 minutes to finally get up to the front. Im not sure if understaffed but it was a bit crazy at how slow things were moving, then the only item I wanted they were out of. Was a bit disappointing. Felt bad for the person I was meeting with because he had to wait a long time for me to finally put my order in and be seated they got lucky and came in before anyone was in line. They did offer to take a discount off my order and were extremely nice, its not a customer service issue. More so an inventory/understaffed issue. Its such a nice facility surely it can afford to have enough food items in stock and an extra helping hand behind counter.

There was no available parking. A double level lot but every space filled at 9:30 am on a Wednesday. Obviously they are using this lot for something more than restaurant parking.

Products/Services:As a recent transplant to Nashville (Austin to Seattle, Seattle to Nashville) I found the cashier to be unhelpful,disrespectful, and uncompassionate.Her behavior seemed to be race motivated.When asked what ingredients were in the tea I ordered she said she wasnt sure and proceeded to get me to read it for her. Before I ordered I let her know I was new to the area and had never been there before.She walked off without explaining where to go next.I found a spot to sit as I was meeting a client there.The cashier came up to me five minutes later and said you need to leave, I didnt know you were going to sit down and stay, we dont allow dogs, you need to goShe refused to listen to what I had to say and walked off.I gathered my things and immediately ran into my client; We spoke outside the doors as it was pouring raining outside.Im fortunate to have wonderful understanding clients but I would not recommend this location if you want to be treated well and respected as a paying customer.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Nashville!! The orange blossom latte is amazing and I love it especially with oat milk. They also have almond milk available. They have an assortment of pastries and refrigerated items. The deviled eggs have a light vinegar taste and are not eggy tasting. The chocolate chia pudding is also good, but has a very strong, not too sweet chocolate flavor. I mostly went to the location off of Charlotte, which always had great service and kind employees. Do yourself a favor and grab some coffee and hang out here!

Kitchen was rude. I was in at 7:52 with two little kids to try this spot for breakfast and was told they don’t start breakfast service til 8 which is ridiculous on a Saturday to start breakfast at 8 when you’ve been open serving coffee. That’s fine though. The issue was The cashier was very nice and turned to ask the kitchen if they would start a breakfast order at 7:50 and the guy in the back was so rude and said no he was going to wait til 8. I didn’t ask the cashier to ask this he was trying to be nice and I could tell he was embarrassed with the response he got. I politely thanked him and left. Don’t worry we will go back to frothy monkey where we always go - SUPER nice and friendly.

Best espresso I’ve had since in Nashville, knowledgeable staff, friendly management, and brilliant atmosphere.Would love to see a more fleshed out food menu but easily my favorite place in the vicinity.

The Sunday brunch menu is great! Worth skipping the line at the broken egg cafe across the street.

I ordered a decaf Americano - the only decaf they had. It was awful. I took 3 sips and couldnt drink anymore. Luckily, the prices here arent bad, so I didnt lose out on too much money.
