Live just up the road (like two blocks) and sadly dont often to get to eat there. I ate there again this last week and really will make more of an effort. The place is small, waits can be long on weekends, it is in a residential area so parking can be tricky, but it is well worth it!I had simple eggs, bacon, toast etc., but the food was excellent. I had the eggs poached and they were very fresh and flavorful. Orange juice was fresh, coffee was grey. My partner thought the food was excellent, service was fast and great, friendly wait staff. Ambience was great, nice and quiet.Probably not suitable for a party larger then 4, maybe 6 at a stretch, but it was quiet so you talk. They did serve alcohol, although we did not partake.A step from the Biscuit House and Wendells (my two go-to reference brunch locations), and Sky Blue easily holds its own. Great food, good prices, and overall a very good experience.
Ate there this past Sunday. Thee food was great and quick. Service was wonderful and I loved the coffee. Actually brought ground coffee to make at home. Try it out. I highly recommend it.
Quaint small cafe with a wide selection of food items. Because of their popularity, wait times can be over 30 minutes.
Great place to meet friends. Had a biscuit with bacon. The biscuit was big and perfect
Was a wonderful breakfast restaurant. Highly recommend here
Great little spot on the east side for breakfast/brunch. We were just visiting Nashville but it felt like it was mainly locals in there.Food was very good. Very fast as well!Potatoes were top notch.
Oooo weeeeeeeee let me tell ya them eggs were scrambled,, them pork slices juicy thicc sodium slathers +vallilla latte with oat milk leaf biscuit was battered and I even got potatoes 10😈/0
Perfectly good standard bistro-type breakfast fare, including coffee beverages. They do offer curb-side pickup.Food was fine, but nothing particularly special. Has a distinctive grunge ambiance/style.
Some of the best breakfast food I’ve had in a long time! This cafe is tiny so expect a wait, but even with the restaurant full it didn’t take long. I had the southwest omelet and it was outstanding. I don’t know what seasoning they put on the potatoes but it is SO GOOD. Coffee was delicious, definitely better than your average breakfast place. Check it out when you’re in east Nashville!
Such a cute place to eat breakfast. Was very good food and excellent service
Was visiting from Chicago with my girlfriend and really did not enjoy this Cafe. Our waitress was not attentive at all. The only time she came to see us to take our order and get our check. It took an hour to get get my food and had to wait an extra 15 minutes for my girlfriend to get her food. The food was the only positive as it did taste good. Would not recommend this cafe for anybody visiting Nashville.
The food tasted good, but everything we were were served came to our table cold.
Fantastic food and friendly service - especially considering there was a wait. I saw another review where someone said the quality of food wasnt as great when it was busy. In our case, I beg to differ. Hopefully we will be back! We really enjoyed! Oh, and there are Trivial Pursuit cards on the table - found that to be a fun touch.
Cute, cozy, hip little place. Ordered the Los Bowl. Could have used more potato, hardly any in the dish. Perhaps drain more of the oil from the veggies next time, because mixed with an over easy egg, it was soup by the end. However the spices were really great and their local hot sauces definitely added another flavor level to the dish. The staff was amazing and very kind. Waited about 10 minutes for a seat and parking was ample (street). Would visit again and try something different before I cling to a hard-fast 4-stars.Also, I was seated RIGHT by the wait station so I had staff reaching past me and almost over me for items for other tables. Sort of turned off by that...maybe get rid of that table? I would rather wait a few minutes longer than get seated next to the extra creamer and cans of soda.4/5 purely for diversity of menu, and flavor of the dish I ordered. The coffee was good, but nothing super special.Overall I would recommend for sure. 👍🏻
Their food was amazing! It was hard to decide what I wanted because everything sounded so good! So I decided on one thing and figured Id come back the next day of my vacation for the other. The only bad thing was I came back the next day for breakfast again and they were closed. They were supposed to be open but totally closed. I hope they stay open because Id love to go back again next time Im in Nashville.
Get there early because this place was hopping for Saturday breakfast! Try the French Toast Pancake... its so good! But also huge... I split it with my friend because I knew I wouldnt be able to eat the whole thing. Their cappuccino was also really good. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Would definitely go back if Im in Nashville again!
We are traveling with our dogs and put our names on their waitlist for a table outside. There’s only two tables outside, it took over an hour to be seated. The hostess skipped over our name and sat someone else, good thing we were standing right there and said something to the hostess. Finally seat no waiter ever came out. I do not recommend this restaurant especially if you’re trying to sit outside. Service was very poor! You’re correct, I did call to tell you that you had two other ladies sitting outside waiting for service and don’t forget about them like you forgot about us. And yes, I was upset because we were waiting for far too long. Thank you by the way for acknowledging that your service was poor and that you would hope to be better in the future so your other customers won’t have the same experience.
I’ll be honest. This is a really good spot but I don’t think it’s worth the wait. We went here on a cold rainy Saturday and it was about an hour and a half wait. Everything tasted good and was fairly priced but I was expecting more from their menu. If you’re in Nashville and staying locally try it out. If you have to drive to get to this breakfast spot I don’t think it’s worth the time.
If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. Do NOT come here if you have any kind of time constraint. My group and I were quoted a 45 minute wait. A bit too long, but we still gave it a shot. We waited for an hour with no word from the business, and when we called to ask if we were still on the list, we were quoted another 20 mins, and finally received a message an hour and a half later. I wish I could review their food, but by that time we were frustrated and left. Whatever time they quote, tack on an extra 30 mins for your own sake.
This is a cafe indeed. Around 13 ish tables, so don’t expect to come with a large group and sit down immediately. It was just two of us and we got to sit wherever (got in right as they opened on a Sunday), but within ten minutes there were only a couple of tables left. In other words go right when it opens if you don’t want to wait or plan on enjoying some fresh air while you wait for a table to open up.PB - coffee: I chose this place due to the claims of good coffee and ordered the strong (what I normally drink). The coffee was an honest 3.5/5 just because the flavor itself was underwhelming, but they are great at keeping my cup full and sometimes having a full cup of coffee is more important than taste (esp. at 8 am). food: French toast was your standard setup, but the strawberries and blueberries tasted like they were from the farmer’s hand.J - I ordered the dope looking omelet (pictured). I hated it so much I ate the whole thing. It had potatoes and veggies in it and I swear the eggs tasted perfect (you can really mess up omelets and they nailed it). I also ordered a cappuccino (you can see who actually takes the pictures) and it was delicious. We went with four stars because as you can see - mixed reviews, but solid choice still. All in all a quaint, warm cafe where the gourmet coffee pleases some and satisfies others :).
This is a homey, cute, quaint eatery! It’s definitely casual, but in the best way. Our server was really sweet and helpful. It’s a place you can relax and enjoy yourself; I wouldn’t necessarily come if I wanted to dine and run. The food was absolutely delicious (the only exception were the grits, I wouldn’t recommend them, but everything else was so good I didn’t care)! We went on a weekday for an early lunch and still had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a party of 2, which we were told is pretty standard, so I would plan on waiting a bit no matter what time you get there. I had the Space Captain omelet with a divine biscuit and a side of avocado, and it was all very tasty. It’s such a cozy spot and I immediately fell in love with its eclectic charm. Its a small place, so be prepared to sit close to other tables/parties. I can’t believe I’ve lived in Nashville for so long and am just now visiting this sweet breakfast joint!
Lovely place and staff. Food so delicious and fresh specially the fruit really tasty.💕
Long line on sundays but worth the wait!
Great atmosphere, coffee experience was top notch, and the food was perfect. Would visit again when Im back in Nashville
The staff was nice and attentive, but the food was not amazing for the price. If you want to find a hipster breakfast joint then this is your place. If you want a great breakfast or a great value look elsewhere. I had the Lo’s bowl which is grilled peppers and avocado over home style fries with an egg on top. Mine came with a pool of liquid, probably from the pepper, on the bottom that just made the few fries that were there soggy. All in all it would have been pretty good if it weren’t for the pool at the bottom of the bowl. I had my brothers “stuffed pancake”, but realistically it is just layers of pancake, French toast, sausage, egg, French toast, pancake. I tried it and I would have just preferred french toast or pancakes with an egg and sausage on the side. There is really no point in combining them other than it looks cool. There was a short wait and they got to us relatively quickly considering how small this place is. Would I go back, no.
This spot is excellent. High quality food.
This place deserves 6 stars. I had an avacado, tomato, bacon omelet with grilled chicken and onions and it was on another level. Its a diamond in the rough so dont expect fancy seating and silver, but the place was at capacity and food and service was still phenomenal. Staff were polite and on top of things.
All the food was amazing. Our 7 and 10 year olds were begging to go back again before our trip ended. The place was small which meant for a long wait but totally worth it. I had eggs Benedict and enjoyed every bite. My husband had Ems breakfast bowl and would definitely order it again. Our son had the breakfast sandwich and declared it the best hed ever had. Our daughter had kids pancakes and ate every bite. Overall, we would say it was the best breakfast weve had in Nashville.
All the staff looked like they had somewhere else to be this morning and were not too happy everytimea new customer walked through the door. We had to ask for a refill on our waters and were basically ignored. The food isnt seasoned and over priced. Also, they add an 18% service charge to each order, which is ridiculous for their subpar service.
AMAZING! I think most would overlook this stop, but you shouldnt!! The breakfast was amazing!!!
Popular little breakfast/brunch spot in East Nashville. Waited 30min for a table but we were able to browse at a boutique next door. Service was excellent...just wasnt expecting french fries with my eggs! They were topped with a delicious salsa that made us forget they were fries though. Excellent biscuits. Will try the eggs benny next time were in town.
Were locals and love this place. Banana Nutella stuffed French toast pancakes🙌
Great coffee. Super Benedict.
A local diner with top notch food quality and staff!
This is a small breakfast place with not many seats, which means there is usually a long wait. We waited about an hour, but oh my, it was great. The food came out fast, it was hot and fresh and service was great. The peanut butter and jelly French toast was amazing. They have veggie sausage which is great too.
Legit east nashville eatery. Came in on 4th of July week on a Tuesday slightly hungover. The fresh mango juice woke me up. We signed our name outside and waited a few minutes before walking in. Our fault, it wasnt too full(not usual). Ive waited 30 minutes here. Sometimes their is a host outside.I wanted a smoothie and learned they no longer have the machine for it. Bummer, because it is on the menu. The food is amazing. Did a Denver omelette. My partner tried another one. Really good. Comes with home fries, fresh fruit, and toast. When it gets busy, you may be sitting next to someone you dont know. All fine by me, so be open to this. Service is good. When it gets busy, make sure to know what you want before server gets there, because they wear many hats.Get some mimosas, and its a party. You could then walk off the food around the neighborhood, and talk about the night before dancing on a bar somewhere.
I got the nod to go here via google and I wasnt disappointed. I went early @7:20 am on a Saturday and there was no wait. I had Ems Bowl + sour cream with a side of potato salad. In hindsight the potato salad was a bit much for me to finish and I would have been okay with just the entree. The food was delicious and filling. It was exactly what I needed to start my day. Now I am so full that I can barely move! The staff was pleasant and quick to take my order. If youre looking for a decent breakfast check this place out but I suggest going early on or else you will be faced with a wait. Cheers!
Good food had breakfast there it was really great service was good too I never bother you again very Collective feel but there was a touch of modern I liked it I would definitely go back its priced reasonably
Pre-Covid I would give this place a 5. I went last weekend, and now I’m so sad to say it’s a 1. The waitress was very uninterested in taking our order and serving us. The pancakes came way under cooked and were sent back. The omelette was ordered with an extra egg which couldn’t have been added as it was the smallest omelette I’ve ever had. When we asked for the check a different person arrived with a tablet and asked for our card. We handed her our card and she turned the tablet towards us and said told us to sign it. A total or a receipt was never offered to us. When we asked about putting the tip in, she said it wasn’t necessary as there is now an 18% service charge to cover that. We were a party of 2. This doesn’t promote good service from your servers and it doesn’t promote me tipping more for good service (which I usually give more than 18%).I couldn’t wait to get back to this place to eat. I was so excited it was open again, but I was so disappointed I will now not be back. Such a shame to let a great place be ruined by bad service, poor cooks, and bad pay practices. Please go back to caring about the service again.
Think an episode of walking dead was filmed there
My friend, my daughter, and I where in the Er all last night due to food poisoning from this restaurant. Will never eat here again.
Good omelette, and great pancakes. Good service. Take note: automatic 18% added.
Tiny place on the east side. Few dine-in seating spots inside due to COVID but the food and coffee was good and the wait short.
Food wad good but definitely over priced and portions were small. Probably will not be coming back. Friendly service though!
I could eat breakfast here every day and it would never get old. Their Eggs Benedict, the Big Rube, Nutella Pancakes, Brie French Toast... its all SO good!
The food was great, definitely worth the wait.
Ems bowl was very tasty. Deliciously savory with a touch of sweet. My espresso drink was really good as well. I tried a breve, which Ive never had before.A bit pricy for a one person breakfast - almost $20. Their prices were lower on Doordash, which didnt work, so I ordered by phone. But I really enjoyed it so no regrets here!
We love this place! My husband said it was the best egg sandwich that he ever had! Cannot wait to go back!
Ordered breakfast to go while passing through town. Great breakfast food and quick.
Great breakfast! I had the Los bowl and it was great. Its a quaint atmosphere, rather small space actually. As a result, a wait to be seated is mostly the case. We waited 20 minutes. Food came reasonably quick, coffee was constantly refilled. Prices slightly above average, but acceptable for the original breakfast creations they offer. Highly recommended.
Great Bloodys!
Much food, very nice
Great food and drinks in East Nashville!
They take covid seriously and offer outdoor dining. We picked up and ate at some picnic tables across the street. This is the best breakfast food I’ve ever had and the coffee is great too.
Fabulous breakfast/brunch experience in Nashville! Best chai latte of my life, hands down. Super funky decor; One of the fun things about the decor was the boxes of Trivial Pursuit cards on the table, giving you an opportunity to interact with whoever is at your table. The service was great (our waitress was super personable and professional at the same time) and the food was delivered quickly. Vegetarian and vegan options available (and TASTY!!) and all for a really good price. A must-visit for Nashvegas!
Ordered/paid for Sweet Potato pancakes with syrup and butter, scrambled eggs and veggie sausage a la carte and a hot Chai Tea Latte online for pickup. Everything was made fresh and was ready at the designated pickup time. The cashier/host was very polite and the commute was short and sweet. This was my first time eating from here and my experience was awesome! I ate the food so quickly, once home, that I didnt take any pictures. Oh well...DEFINITELY will next time.
OK food. Giant portions. Good price. I ordered the pancake, French toast sandwich with egg, cheese & sausage. It was OK. Nothing outstanding except for the plate size. My wife had a vegetable scramble w/potatoes & she wasnt overly impressed. This was our first time here as we were on vacation. The pancake sandwich, imo, would have been better if I had ordered the banana & Nutella. If youre thinking of going here, give them a try. The place is small & gets crowded as a neighborhood Cafe. To the owners: Clean your corners & control the flys (which is hard to do with the door open & closing so much).
Great service. Lots of outdoor seating.
Great service. Lots of outdoor seating. Breakfast burrito was good. Breakfast Bowl was cold though. Possible they smothered a cold biscuit? with gravy etc and left out the sausage.
If you can handle a potentially very long wait it is well worth it. Server was slow at the start but once we ordered everything was fantastic. Was there for breakfast and the food made the wait worthy of the time waiting outside in the cold. I Had Los bowl with sausage. Everything was fresh and the home fries possibly the best I have ever eaten.
All around deliciousness. We had a wait in the cold but they did give us coffee to enjoy while we waited and there are some seats available while waiting. Service was fast and friendly. There are Trivia cards on the table so need to play with your phones. It was a nice time.
The medium regular coffee is strong enough for me. The country bacon yummy. I need to ask for crispy. Pancakes and french toast very good! Very small so wait times can be long. Cant wait to try the Florentine Benedict
Im a pilot so I travel the whole country and my favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict..... This was probably the best Eggs Benedict Ive ever had. Heck Mike Wolfe from American Pickers was waiting for a table when we left. You know its good if hes willing to stand in line for it! Tiny place but its bursting with Awesomeness!
Amazing food and inclusive atmosphere!
Long wait; but absolutely worth it. The vibe of this place alone makes it worth the time outside waiting. It has a very personal feel and you get to know the people sitting next to you. But the food. Where do I begin? The food makes every taste bud excited. I had the breakfast sandwich with vegan sausage and it was amazing. Definitely coming back.
We decided to check out this place because of the reviews it had. Unfortunately it wasnt all that. The waitress blamed me for not telling her that I ordered the go burrito, and my husband told her that I did, (she brought out a chilli burrito) and tried blaming me the customer. She didnt even apologized and brought what I originally ordered and told me to next time be clear with want I order. I was shocked because I remember saying Ill have the go burrito with avocado, the food is good.Anywho the place is cute and cozy but the customer service wasnt good. I dont know if it was just her, but I dont see myself going back anytime soon.
