Was visiting Nashville a few months ago when my partner and I stumbled upon this store and I’m so glad we did. Absolutely wonderful little shop! The owner and her daughter were incredibly nice and I loved getting to look through the amazing and inclusive selection they had. Will definitely visit again in the future ❤️

Fairytales is such a neighborhood staple for East Nashville folks. Im so glad theyve been able to pivot and adapt after not only having their location made unusable after the tornado in March but then trying to stay afloat during a pandemic. Their new location may be tiny but it doesnt lack in inventory - the spot is literally packed from floor to ceiling. Make a private appointment to shop or stop by - just make sure to bring your mask! There is hand sanitizer and gloves available and Michelle will step out to leave you to shop confidently and comfortably. Highly recommend this spot for books, games, toys and activities.

I love Fairytales! This great East Nashville treasure has an amazing amount of childrens books packed into their store, of which half is also devoted to educational toys, puzzles, art supplies and pretend play items. The store also features a section of books from local authors! Its a great place to pick up books or a thoughtful gift for the kid(s) in your life... (Did I mention they share a space with an ice-cream shop?! As if you needed another reason... )

I love. Good way to get the kids to read a book or look at them, then we go outside to eat ice cream. Really enjoyed their Banana pudding ice cream/ Tourists in the neighborhood walking around are so nice.

Finally! Unique toys/gifts. Sweet gift bags with curly ribbons. And right next door to a local, whimsical ice cream parlor!!! AND near Five Points in East Nashville. Geesh. How much more perfect can it be?

This is the cutest bookstore /toy store /ice cream parlor Ive ever seen. Totally captures the eclectic East Nashville scene, and the ice cream is delicious without being expensive.
