I explored getting a walk-in tub after hip replacement surgery prevented me from continuing to use the garden tub. I called and salesman Mike came to our home a short time later. He was very knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk to. We settled on the hybrid tub due to its flexibility as both a tub and a shower.The installation crew was prompt and very courteous. They removed the old shower pronto. We opted to have a friend put in tile after the tub was installed, rather than the acrylic walls the crew prefers to put in, as those walls apparently help conceal the imperfectly plumbed walls like we had. They put up drywall and plywood, though I found out later cement board is preferable to put tile on (more waterproof), which the tile guy put up before installing the tile..The tub is a Godsend. The water, air and micro jets are very helpful in soothing my aches due to both age and Cerebral Palsy.The lights brighten things up nicely. The auto draining button is useful. And it is great that the tub purges itself of leftover water shortly after turning things off. The attached towel rack is very handy.The customer service department was friendly and responsive.Overall, the tub is well worth the money, as it is an investment in maintaining an aging body. I recommend this hybrid tub!

The installers worked very hard to make make my tub work, they had to replace it due to the door not closing properly and even contacted the inventor to solve the problem. But I gave it 4 stars because the jets could have been spaced better and I wish I had more control of the direction of the jets too. All in all it is a good product.

Safe Step Walk-In Tub is a Superior Company from their helpful and courteous Salesman, precise and clean electrical work by Licensed Electrician and helper, and installed by a very professional, neat, and courteous Contractor. All Licenses and Permits were obtained by Safe Step as well as final inspection by the City was set up before the floor was closed with cement.After hiring my local tile tech to fill in the space once filled with my Jacuzzi Tub and not needed by my Safe Step Tub I had the tile installed and added a Cabinet keeping some items off the counter and adding ambience near the Tub.I Love my new Tub and my new Bathroom.

Safe Step installed a shower for my 85 year old mother. I was really a little skeptical that they could get the shower installed in one day because they were having to remove an enameled cast iron tub; however they somehow managed to do it! We had a couple of minor issues early on with water pressure and water temperature, but the installer was very responsive and came right back to make the necessary adjustments. My mother loves the shower and it is much safer for her. I would absolutely recommend Safe Step!

Very unprofessional installation done with not “up to code” electrical wiring done. Also no licensed electrician installed the wrong wiring. Was very pleased with my sales rep.,Allan F. just wish the tub was a little wider in the seat area! For the price we paid for the tub, I would think they would employee true well trained installers.Putty was found everywhere and wasn’t cleaned off at all. Supposedly they’re coming back to clean it up, we’ll see if and when that happens.They did come back to put in the correct code wiring but did a horrible job running the new wire. Thankfully my husband is a union electrician who will fix it.With all this, I was not offered one cent discount!Also a mess was left behind for us to worry about. I love the tub/shower just feel they need more professional installers and a licensed electrician, as their paperwork states, to install the correct wiring in a professional manner and not run the wire across our attic floor. Also the day of install, the breaker wasn’t even put in correctly.

Installation was fine but there was NO HELP with hot water heater. We have spent an extra $4,000 for plumbing services just to get the hot water level in the tub to where it is supposed to be, for a soaking tub as in the pictures you showed us. It has been a costly nightmare.

The actualSafeStep tub and shower is excellent. We had multiple issues with the installers. The installers did jot live up to the quality of the SafeStep tub and shower. They had to came back half a dozen times to get it right. I finally signed off on the tub, but it was anything but a good install.Not a professional install.

The men who came to install our tub were rude, careless, and unprofessional. They damaged our tub installing it. we were told the part would be next dated to us and someone would put it on. We got a call the other day saying it would be the last week of the month. The installers made a mess in the house and left nails and trash in my driveway. The sales person sent my wife a gift card for having to clean up behind the but that doesnt change the fact that I have an expensive tub and cant use all the features because of their carelessness. We were told they had their own teams but it was quite apparent that the people who came to our house were sub contractors who only cared about getting through so they could do another. The tub has a lifetime warranty bu another thing we were told was they had all parts in house but now we are having to wait almost a month for a part. Again, our salesperson has been more than gracious but everyone else at this company have miserably failed us. When we were having the difficulty with the tub I called 3 different people with the company no one answered and the sales rep was the only one to return my call. This really makes me sorry I chose this company.

Very nice licensed electrician and tub installer.Safe Step tub patented exfoliating bubbles did more for treating and completely healing my very rare severe skin disease then what Wound Care could ever do.I was told by many medical experts that my skin disease was untreatable. This includes the Mayo Clinic doctors.False. Safe Step proved them wrong.No more steroid medicine. The salesperson was very informative and knew his business. The installation crew was very polite and did a great job in all aspects of the installation of our Safe Tub. However, a few items that need to be considered. The water off/on mechanism needs to be more responsive. It is very easy to leave a trickle of water from the spout without knowing it. The mechanism does not completely turn off the water flow until you find the sweet spot in the positioning of the handle. The shower assembly does not adjust to the height of a six foot plus occupant. However, the air jets, heated seat, micro-bubbles are great. Sure helps with aching back and legs and arthritic hands. Sure feels great after a day of working in the yard.

Wonderful tub. Really bad customer service. Ive been trying for over 2 months to get someone here to do a simple repair. Business only cares about getting new business, doesnt care about you, once your tub is installed.

Step in tub is very nice for elderly people and people with disability, but if you have a issue like a leak or something breaks you are pretty much done. The only way for them to come fix it is with the owner present. My father is in NY receiving medical treatment and not sure when or if he will come back. We have a huge leak the baseboards are damaged and floors they will not come fix it since he is not there. My father has had some mini strokes and due to those his brain is not functioning like it should. Would not recommend them and all. Very poor customer service so now I have to watch it leak unless I chose to pay for the repairs in whick I should not have to since my father paid for a warranty. Please do not get stuck like me or God forbid your family gets ill.

THE SAFE STEP WALK IN HYBRID TUB IS WONDERFUL THE WHOLE PROCESS FROM ORIGINAL PHONE CALL TO FINISHED INSTALL, IT ALL WENT PERFECTLY..

The installers worked hard getting my old tub (bathfitter and original) out of the house and my new walk-in tub installed. When the install was completed they gave a very thorough tutorial of the tub and all its bells and whistles. They left my house as they found it. I love my new tub. I had some issues figuring out how to be in the tub and getting the door closed because of my big belly. But I figured it out and have had several showers and a few baths. I LOVE IT! BTW...it did cost a bit and getting a new water heater to accommodate it, but I no longer have to fear of falling get into the tub or getting out of it. Thanks!

Jim came out and made the presentation. He was very thorough and proficient. Eric and his associate ( sorry I cant remember the other installers name) were very proficient, kind, friendly and extremely professional. Once they started, they worked continuously until it was finished. They did an excellent job, cleaned up everything and we were extremely pleased with the job. They made sure, it met or exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Safe Step because we were very pleased from the beginning to the end. I commend Jim as well as the installers. So glad we decided to give them our business.

I had the Safe Step Tub installed in early June. The installer installed it wrong which resulted in the full tub to drain out on my bathroom floor, which resulted in flooding my basement. It drained into my laundry closet which ruined my surplus supply of toilet paper & paper towels.I called the installerr and he returned 5 days later and tried to fix it. He left and when I went to use it, AGAIN it drained all over my floor. I called him, again. When he showed up, he called his boss and was told he installed it incorrectly. He fixed it again. Also, he crack÷d my floor tiling.I called on multiple occasions to see what/how they would fix my floor and I expected retribution for the ruined toilet paper and paper towelI called and spoke with Maddie who said that Jim Alley handled those types of issues. She would give him a message to call me. I called multiple times and was told the same thing each time. I NEVER received a call from Jim!!!I would NOT recommend anyone purchase their products because once they have your money, youre forgotten.

The installation of our step-in tub went without a hitch. The two young men they sent over were the best. Just like Santa Clause, when they got here, they went straight to their work. When they were done, they cleaned up EVERYTHING! Just like it never even happened! Except when they were done, I had a brand new step-in tub. I would recommend this company and these installers to ANYONE!

The installers arrived around 8:30 am and went right to work. They had to remove the Garden Tub and installed the Safe Step Tub, also a higher toilet. Everything went well. It works great but I wish the tub was longer so I could stretch out! I also wish the seat was a bit lower so the water would go higher on my body.

They installed a complete walk in shower. They were very clean, professional, on time, they did a great clean up after they finished, and walked us through the cleaning of the shower. Plus who to contact if their were any problems. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants a professional job done.

The installation of the tub was great but no one checked back to see how things were working after purchase and install (which was not cheap). If you need service, good luck because no one calls you back for months. We had a small issue so it was not a emergency (no leaks ) but they took forever to send someone out to fix the problem

My Safe Step experience was five star all the way. The installers were very considerate and performed quickly. I kept making changes and Safe Step did everything to make sure I was totally happy. I LOVE the tub and I highly recommend the shower head they will include.

Safe Step Walk-in Tubs did a great job! At first, I thought it was a little pricey, but it is worth every penny to see the smiles on moms face. Her skin and overall tone is heartwarming to know mom is getting a good bath now.We have retrieved mom from memory care as COVID had overrun the facility in Ohio. She was also in rehab for her hip repair last July, but never really received any therapy (charge for though). Since the tub was installed and we watched the included video she is now exercising in the tub, which is awesome!Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

The tub leaked from the 1st day we tried it. Also during installation our washing machine water lines were disconnected. When we called we were told someone would get back to us within in 1-3 business days. This was our only shower at the time. After numerous calls and emails, cleaning the tub and door seal the tub still leaked. They said if that was the problem we would have to pay $250 for a service call. (Some warranty, huh).Someone was finally sent to check on the leak, which was because of a warped door.Customer service needs serious upgrading.

Product is great, but installation and follow up has been poor. The Micro system was not working on installation and it has bee at least 6 weeks without the matter being fixed. Also a question about the heating of the seat. I have had to make several calls to follow up, and told still waiting for the part. I was sold the tub on the fast response to issues, and this has been a disappointment.

Love my new Safe step walk in tub .The installers were very nice and professional. They had my new tub installed and old tub removed in 9 hours. .after letting the sealers dry I got to try out my new tub. It was wonderful being able to sit and take a bath the jets felt so good on my feet and legs .the jets to my back were wonderful. I love my new Safe Step walk in tub!!

Installation was okay but tub has design flaws. If you shower water runs onto floor outside tub.Was told that it would help correct all our health issues which is totally incorrect. Removed fiberglass bathtub and surroundings and installed new Safe Step Walk-In Tub. The workers were fantastic. They did the removal and installation in seven hours. The installation was done neatly and without any dust or dirt. Permits and licenses were sent to me prior to installation. I am a retired State of Connecticut inspector and I could not find one fault with the company, service and installation. If they say they will be there at a certain time they will be there. They call you just to make sure you are satisfied. I would give this company a ten star approval.

We purchased a Safe Step walk-in-tub. It was not cheap. No one checked back after the install to see if everything was ok. It does require more than a 50 gallon water heater unlike what the salesman said. The nob to adjust the flow on the side of the tub doesn’t make much difference at all. With it on air (both settings) it splashes water everywhere no matter how much water is in it. The power drain does not always work....sometimes we have to manually drain it or shut the unit off and turn it back on again. The salesman said it’s great for soaking bubble baths but the owners manual states not to use bubble bath. Definitely not worth the money.The installation crew was great. Very happy with them just not the tub.

At first everything was great. Once I had an issue is where the problem started. Customer service after the fact is questionable. Too early to tell if it will improve. So far, not happy with their follow through and sense of urgency

I really love my safe step shower, it is great, and it didnt take long to install it. The two guys that installed it were very polite & worked till they were done. They explained everything about it & made sure I was satisfied.

A walk in tub with many enjoyable features was installed in one of our bathrooms. The installation was done on time by a skilled install crew. A choice of surround textures was not offered but what we got was tasteful. The tub may be too narrow for some family members but the slim design probably conserves water.. no problems have been encountered to date.

From initial presentation to install very seamless. Told they would be here all day for installation however they were completely done in 4.5 hours. This included walking me through the operation of the tub, clean-up walk thru, and finishing paperwork.Now really enjoying the tub completely.Jim was an excellent presenter and the crew Rodney scheduled were very efficient and knowledgeable.

Pat Boone sold it. But that was the best part. The sales aspect was real good, except that they did not tell me that i needed a larger water heater. That delayed first use by7 weeks, although i cannot blame safe step for shortage of water heaters, but they told me that me 50 gallon tank was large enough. After the installation, it turned out that it was not and i think they knew that before hand. and i think they kept silent to keep anything out of harms way as far as the sale was concerned. The new water heater is installed now and i am ready to forget and forgive, except now i do not know how to operate the tub. How to fill it, for example, it drains out just as quickly as the water runs in. I can turn all the visible knobs, but it keeps draining and i keep wondering what an actual bath experience would be like. so i call their service line, but... no answer. it has been over 15 hours now, no call back. i am beginning to think I made a $22,000 mistake.

SAFE STEP BATH TUB was installed in a days time with no mess and excellent service. All professional men and very neat. They came in and did their jobs and cleaned everything up and were finished in a very timely manner. I could not believe with all they did, in so little time, and the finished product looked as if they had never been there, other than a beautiful SAFE STEP BATHTUB was in my bathroom. The installers were very courteous and respectful of my home. They laid cloths down on the floors, took care to not damage anything, and installed by new walk-in tub with care and efficiency. Product good, but installation trailer trash quality. Installed 6/23/2021 but today 7/22/2021 still not completed. Will cost me money to remedy errors. Wish they would come and take out the tub and refund my $15,471. I have yet to use the walk-in tub.

Still haven’t received a replacement door now my tub is damaged. STILL waiting on my glass with the CORRECT hardware installed. Installation team was abominable, having damaged my plumbing and damaging the plastic cover over a hinge in a failed attempt to correct the ill-fitting door they didn’t install correctly the first time.

We were so excited by the product and the agent and did get financing approval. That is where the wonderment ceased. After a few weeks and being assured they could handle our unique problem, I finally had to call the agent and then the company as we had not heard back from them.That is when a return call from the company led them to tell me they were opting out of the job as they feared it was too much risk for them. How can a professional remodeler fear such? I would advise each of you to put only a little faith in this company. If you have a perfect situation, then you are good to go. If you have any remote issues, they cannot handle it.

We had a Safe Step Walk-in Tub installed 3 weeks ago. The 3 man team that did the installation worked quickly and had the job done in 6 hours. This included removing the old tub and installing the new one. Two major criticisms. The person doing the electrical installations...including a new GFI and dedicated breaker switch...said he would show me where they were. He never did. I figured out where the breaker was and discovered the GFI days later on wall in our guest bedroom. Why it was not in bathroom near tub, we will never know. But the worst part was the installation of the tub drain handle. After they left, I noticed it was not flush with tub. Instead it jutted out about 1/2 inch. When I called to ask about it, the leader of the installation team told me that it was always done that way. When I went to use tub for first time, I could not move the handle. Had to use electronic option.Three weeks later, after several calls, a service tech from Safe Step came out. He took one look at handle and said it wasnt flush because they had stripped it in trying to install. It definitely was not the way they always do it and he quickly fixed it. I understand that mistakes can happen in any job, but to lie about it instead of telling us what happened and coming back to fix it properly, was definitely not professional and not the kind of service we expected from Safe Step.Finally, when we purchased out tub, the salesman looked at our current equipment, water heater & electrical. He never mentioned a problem with either. The first time I used the tub, I ran out of hot water well before the water reached the jets. We had not previously been using any other appliances requiring hot water. A call to the installation team, informed us that we probably needed a bigger hot water heater, something the salesman should have pointed out. Again, would it have changed our minds about buying the tub? Probably not, but we would have been prepared for the additional expense of a bigger hot water heater instead of surprised and left sitting in a tub of cold water. Honesty is the best policy, especially with such a big ticket purchase.

We got a safe step shower. The company was very good. The guy that installed was very nice personal and very good and explained very well.

They have to come and repair my wall and hang shower rod and hang shower curtain, check Bluetooth and shower door handle!But I do love it and is awesome and safe way to bath and shower and the jets are really nice.I love the warranty and Im still satisfied when I get my issues solved. Customer service has been helpful on a few things and solved them right from there office to you while your on the phone! They knocked an angel and broke it that I had 12 years that my Aunts family got me when my mom passed away February 4th 2009 meant alot to me!

We purchased a walk-in tub that provides water, air, bubble therapy jets as well as light and aroma therapy features. The free at-home quotation on the unit and its features was professionally presented and very informative prior to our purchase. The installation was done on the schedule we requested and was completed in one day, including a complete walk-through on use and cleaning. First thing,, I never do this but this called for a complant. One thing after another needs fixed. First I wasnt told that my 50 gal waterheater wasnt large enough to fill the tub. So I had to wait until that was installed until I could use it.. That cost over 2,000 the First thing to go wrong was a hinge cover fell off the first bath I took. Then the door leaked flooding the bathroom. Then the stopper didnt go down. Then the stopper didnt open and then the airline broke. Parts need ordered and mean while I cant use the tub.They got silicone smeared on my walls and molding. Now it drains supper slow and I was told to call a plumber. Theres is the worst customer service Ive ever seen. One representative was so rude. Telling me theyve been to my place so many times that I should take care of it. Then changed her tune once I sent pics of the mess. I bought the wrong brand tub. I simply cant recommend this company.

We bought the Safe Step walk-in tub and it was installed on 5/25. We first use the tub on 5/27 and reported that it was leaking fairly bad. They put this as an urgent repair. They came out on 6/2 to assess the problem. They confirmed the problem. The weep hole drain and the door is leaking. They then ordered the parts and said that they should be able to fix it on 6/7 or 6/8. In the mean time we tried using the tub, but it would take numerous towels to soak up the leakage, so we decided not to use it. We called back on 6/7 and heard back on 6/8 to find out that the UPS shipment wouldnt arrive until 6/9. Then they said they needed to inspect it to make sure it was the correct parts and that it looks like they wouldnt be back until 6/14 or 6/15 to repair it. We believe that these parts should have been shipped out within 24 hours with a one day express mail. This is a brand new tub and you would think that Safe Step would be doing whatever it takes to remedy the problem quickly to keep from looking bad. So it could be 3 weeks or longer before we can start using the tub. We think this is unacceptable.

The people that installed my Safe Step were very considerate and did the installation in a timely manner. They cleaned everything up and were as quiet as they could be doing what they were doing. It was a father/daughter team. Very sweet.

Installed walk in tub. They did a wonderful job and I love it! I would recommend Safe Step Tubs !!!!

Everything was fine, except for a three week delay in getting a missing wall board installedfor a walkin bath unit.

I was thinking about making a future purchase but a very close friend purchased one and has not be pleased with the after install service! The floor service was apparently not properly done because he has had falls. Calls to the installers has been frustrating to say the least. The floor surface seems slick to me, and that should not be the case with a product touted as Safe Step. I am going to ask him to call your HOA, not the installer, and see if you guys can take care of this problem!

Excellent customer service. Spoke with Desiree and she was patient, informative and completely eased my mind that everything would be taken care of. Took my calls when I asked for her and settled my problem in one day. Super Company !!

Our walk-in shower was installed. It is taking some time to get use to the new shower. We like it and are happy to have purchased it. Our bathroom looks so different with the new shower.

The young man that installed our new SafeStep tub is a very considerate young man but could use some more training. They made a change with installers the first of this year when the original installer moved to Waco Texas. It took four days for the new installer to get the new tub installed. There were some problems with the drain hookup that he was not familiar with but got some advice and hopefully got it installed correctly. Then there were parts of the of the tub that were damaged that he had to reorder. He returned one day last week and corrected some problems and was supposed to contact us this week and complete the job with items he had on back order. Well, we haven’t heard from him. This is the end of the third week.My wife loves her new tub but, it would look much better with a more professional trim job.

The people who installed our walk-in tub (Corey and Nick) did an exceptional job. They had to take off some moulding to get it into the bathroom, but when they were finished, there was no evidence that anything had been disrupted. The tub looked like it was part of the original house. As for the tub, we love it. It came as advertised.

We were amaze at the speed and efficiency for removal of the old tub and shower and installation of the new walk in tub and shower system. Plus the extras are amazing.

The reason for the 3 stars was the fact that they bad mouthed my contractor. They installed the walk in tub and it looks beautiful. And I am almost certain I will enjoy it for many years. But insulting my contactor wasnt called for;

Installed walk in shower..I am handicapped and this shower is exactly what I needed. The installers were very professional and informative as they explained all the features of the shower. I recommend them highly. I believe they are from Johnston R.I.. I am very pleased with this walk in shower and all the grab bars and shower heads..this company is honest and trustworthy. I reccomend Safe Step Walk-In Shower highly.

Safe-Step installed a walk in tub / shower combination for us. I decided to go with their company because the sales rep. was more honest and sincere than the other 2 companies that we had come out and give us a bid. There was no pressure, just good, honest conversation. The tub was installed 2 weeks earlier than promised and the installation crew was quick, efficient, and extremely curtious. The installation only took about 4 hours and was expertly done! It looks beautiful and is everything we hoped for. We are very satisfied the product and the service!

They installed a safe tube in my home- they removed old tub and carefully cleaned area and removed all old materials. They were cheerful and professional and on time. They instructed me on how to safely use and maintain the new tub. An excellent experience-

Walk in shower with 6 jets, rain shower head anda hand held sprayer. Very disappointed in the handle of the insulation. They were so much in a hurry that they couldnt get out our old tub with out damaging the wall by the tub. Also the they did a poor job of putting in the putty where there was an extra whose spot at a corner . This tells me they are not professional installers!!!!

They were on time and called to make appointments. Our Safe Step Walk- in tub and shower was installed in one day. Very professional, congenial nice workers. We really enjoy our tub.

We have been totally thrilled with our tub! Took a few times to become familiar with all the features but once we did, it was smooth sailing!

My mother has this tub installed. They removed part of a wall beside a bedroom and repaired it so poorly that the door no longer shuts. They repaired the bathroom wall poorly causing towels racks to fall amd tear the wall. They removed tile and left most of it gone without replacing it. Very very poor installation and finishing by returning walls back. My mothers name is Judy Blair.

We love our new walk in shower. Everything was done as advertised. The shower is just what we needed.

We had our Safe Step Walk-In tub installed 4 weeks ago, This was truly the best decision we ever made! The installers that came into our home were one of the most enjoyable workers weve ever had in our home. This professional team worked together quietly and were pleasant to each other and to us. They kept the area clean and contained, and they were meticulous down to the smallest detail. Brians knowledge about the tub and its operation was most informative, as he patiently explained how to best operate the tub. They were respectful of the COVID-19 requirements as well. Our entire experience with Safe Step has been of the highest quality from start to finish! If youre thinking of getting a walk-in tub, dont settle for anything less than the best! As a paraplegic amputee with a spinal cord injury this makes the pain bearable . All the different massaging jets are awesome. The ease of getting in and out is a big plus for me. The installation was done with care and was done quickly. Excellent job... the guys were on time, courteous and informative .

They installed a Safe Step tub in a professional way and on time.When they were done they cleaned up after themselves. They also taught me how each dial worked.

The crew that installed my tub was excellent, very professional. Sorry, the only name I remember is Paul. They performed quickly and did everything completely. I was very happy with their work. I am also very happy with the tub. It appears to be well-made of high quality materials. I’ve only used it three times but have felt refreshed and rested when I’ve finished. The instructions given to me before I used it were accurate and complete. I’m not sure what else I can say, other than that I am completely satisfied.

Tub too small, shower area too small and shower water is either hot or warm, no just cold water, only good is being able to step in instead of over tub edge.

They stole $7500 from my grandparents and are now claiming they have no record of them. They are shady af. If you dig deep they have a ton of bbb reports against them and other people here have had the same thing happen. Do not give them any money!
