These guys are AMAZING!!! I hit something in the freeway this morning around 5:00am & called around for a mechanic. Everyone was booed for at least 2 weeks minimum. Guy with AAA that picked me up referred me here. I called around 12-12:30 & he said come in. When I got here I quickly realized a few years ago this was the same place I came to for a tire, which lasted forever might I add. I have 2 flat tires and my oil pan was destroyed. They went to get the part, put it on, replaced my tires and did all of this before rush hour traffic!!!! AWESOME SERVICE! Oh and it’s a gas station too so there’s plenty snacks/ drinks.

Gem of a place...We had car trouble right outside Nashville and AAA did a great job locating this shop for us. The employees at Thompson Lane did an awesome job repairing our vehicle and getting us back on the road home. Not only are they quality mechanics, they are honest, fair, and friendly. Thompson Lane Auto Care took amazing care of me and my husband when our tire suddenly exploded. They stayed open past closing when they knew we were on our way and changed our tire fast and easy. Definitely recommend!

Great place to get gas ⛽ and one of the last places in the city thatll let you fill the air on your tires for free.

The employees located at this location were amazing! Being out of town with a sick parent, you never want anything to happen to your vehicle or even in general. They made the experience less painful and fast as they could. We were able to sit down in a comfortable area, watch TV, buy Snacks or drinks if needed too. Its a work shop/gas station combo. I really do appreciate these guys! We got back on the road and to our next destination. Thank you! I definitely would recommend them!

This is a very honest and fair company. They are respectful and timely. As a woman, I hate getting vehicles serviced but if I have to, I will always bring it here. I have no worries that any situation will be taken care of correctly even if you have to bring it back. Ive brought my vehicle to be checked and fixed by them when someone else didnt fix it correctly. I really appreciate that. Along with being able to get great gas, and great service they also have AAA discounts!

I took my car in a month ago they said they fixed the problem with the 3 hours. So I knew something was wrong and someones up a month later my car is back broke down so I tell them and they want to charge me for towing and the labor and the part saying its a different problem when I know its the same problem theyre no good theyre crooks

We stopped at the convenience store side for a rest stop. We were very impressed with how clean the restroom and store were!! Not a big place, but wed stop again on our next trip through.

They have worked with my car a couple of times before. The first time was because of an oil leak, and the second time was because of a spark plug. Both times they have been very friendly and made sure my poor old car was given the care it needed to work. They are AAA approved and will make sure you get the best care at an affordable price.

The best place to take your car to for repairs. Very clean shop and people are friendly and professional. Excellent service. Would recommend it to everybody.

My car was losing power and cutting off. The first time they said it was a module regulator. Two weeks later same problem. Second time they said wrong battery. Week later same problems cutting off. Third time needed engine computer. Spent 2100.00 dollars and still not fixed. Was not compensated at all. Don’t trust them!!

Great Service! I went in knowing that I needed a belt replaced and that it usually doesn’t take long to replace a belt. Turns out that I also needed a new water pump. They explained it would take about 3 hours and I was worried because I needed to be at work in 3 hours. They kindly told me they could get it done so I could be at work on time. 2 and a half hours later, I was leaving and made it to work on time! Their thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated!

Horrible experience. Saw me last minute to look at my car and way overpriced since they knew I was in immediate need. Took to another local mechanic that gave me a fair price and diagnosed the right issues, instead of trying to overprice and charge for services that didnt need to be done.Very disappointed for the waste of time and money hes trying to steal from others.

I have used these folks several times now for several different issues. They have always provided rapid, affordable and friendly service. They quoted me nearly $100 less than competitors for the same job (alternator). They also participate in AAA and offer a discount that way as well. I would definitely recommend them. They are an asset to the 16th district!

Wally was super friendly, gave me a great deal on the repairs, and was great about communicating realistic time and cost estimates. Repairs were completed quicker than I anticipated and with top notch quality. His staff is exceptional in knowledge, expertise, and customer service. Outstanding service all around!

My car wouldnt start so I towed it here since it was close by. They wanted to charge $700+ to replace the alternator, belt and battery. I declined since another place would charge $270 less for the same repairs. They charged me $100 for a check up fee + $9 for SHOP (see attached photo).

They blamed me for their mistake and tried to charge me extra to fix it. Lied and said they needed to keep my car overnight (because they didnt have the parts). Went to the dealer and had to pay a lot to get the job they screwed up fixed. (Rotors and Brakes dont go bad in 2 months UNLESS THEY ARE INCORRECTLY INSTALLED. DONT BLAME ME BECAUSE YOU DID A BAD JOB)

My mother in law got her car towed here by AAA, and they told her she needed a new $2k engine. We then took it to Gary Force Acura and all she needed was a new battery.

Non-ethanol gas and free air!

They lied about diagnostic said it wouldn’t cost anything to look at it. When I dropped my car off they called me back in 5 minutes to say they couldn’t change brakes. And then charged me $100 anyways. Poor service and liars

This place exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was clear. I felt safe, even being super pregnant and solo at the moment. The clerk was friendly and welcoming upon entry. The convenience shop is small but adequate. It was all that I needed at the moment-- an empty bladder and a tank of gas.

After driving six hours from our home in St. Louis, the radiator in our 2002 Ford Taurus blew in Nashville. AAA towed the car to an AAA approved mechanic which was of course Thompson Lane Auto Care.They were courteous and acted professional to communicate the cost and stay with the quoted price. We thought their charges were high compared to what we are used to in our hometown, however, after checking with AAA the prices were competitive. This review was edited because we were certain that the prices were out of line compared to what we are used to. According to the Mitchell guide we were charged a fair price for our radiator.

Car was towed here by AAA, more than a day later they decided not to even bother to sign the claim form, charged us $260 for nothing and we had it towed elsewhere. Avoid.

Thompson Lane Auto Care gives amazing service and have always been very inexpensive. I dont even bother getting other quotes now as I trust them implicitly, but when I used to shop around they were always the least expensive quote. They are really fast, I often just drive in and they fix my vehicle while I wait. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and their work is impeccable. Ive never had any problems with anything theyve fixed for me. Once they fix it, its totally taken care of. I appreciate this business and cant say enough about how great it is!

I was towed here on the recommendation of my AAA driver. I have a 2006 Chevy silverado 1500 4x4 and the radiator finally gave out on me. I was towed here because the dealership wouldnt have been able to get me taken care of until the following afternoon before closing if at all. Not only were they able to get me right in, but they had the part for same price as the parts store. Its like a convenience store in that you have to pay for the convenience so because of that the most expensive part of the whole process was the labor but for the total time from call for tow to completion of work it was a little less than 4 hours. Couldnt have been happier that things worked out as they did and Im very thankful for their help and work. Got back on the road and back home safely so cheers to them! They saved the day!! 🍻🍻🍻

I went to Thompson Lane to have my brakes and calipers done. They quoted me a decent price so I agreed to have the work done. Their mechanics got the job done and all was good. Fast forward, I had one of their mechanics work on my vehicle outside of work (not on company time).Their mechanic screwed my vehicle up to high hell. I had a perfectly great running vehicle until their mechanic touched it and then when he couldnt undo what he did, he told me to take it to a shop. I went in and told the supervisor what had happened. I was then told a day later that they couldnt figure out the problem and they were going to charge me anywhere from $500.00 to $1,000 to TRY and figure out the problem but there would be no guarantee that they could fix it Are you kidding me?? I am not going to pay a company that much money to MAYBE fix my vehicle. My business has been taken elsewhere to get this problem resolved. The mechanic that screwed up my vehicle has since been fired due to the incident. You dont quote a price like that only to say that the problem might get fixed.

This is one of the few station I know of where I can purchase non ethanol gasoline.

My family and I were stranded in Nashville on the way back from Orlando, however, the owner (Wally) was more than efficient and honest about what to expect. He made my my family feel at home in his office while we waited for a horrible crankshaft sensor procedure. I would especially like to thank Jorge who was our main mechanic. He went out of his way to fix the car to get us back on the road for what I know is an expensive and time consuming procedure. After he was done, he saved my car and family by filling the oil and tires.

My van broke down while I was away from home, and AAA recommended Thompson Lane Auto Care. They diagnosed the problem right away and gave me a very fair price. The mechanics kept in constant touch and had my vehicle ready when promised. They even provided me with the 10% AAA discount without having to ask for it. I highly recommend this business for all of your auto care needs.

Completely dishonest people. My AAA tow truck recommended so I came here. I asked multiple times what they thought the wait would be and never got a clear answer. After an hour and a half finally someone told me that for my engine problem I could either tow to the dealer or try a quick oil and part fix. Another hour and a half later Im charged over 280 dollars for a service fee, diagnostic fee, parts, and oil. No explanation, and no fix of the problem.

My rating is based on work and price. I have had 3 repairs done with them and they have done a good job on all three. They charge ridiculous amounts on labor when you bring in your parts and that is not fair. I will suggest to find some other place to have your car fixed. Also just to show you how bad they rip you off, I got 2 different quotes from 2 different people at the same location. There is no fixed price and all just trying to hustle you.

7/11/17Traveling south developed a bad grinding, crawled in at 430 pm and after a patient inspection by Roy, the wheel assembly was found to be in bad shape. Repaired and roadworthy again by noon next day, made it to all my destinations and back to home to Dracut, MA. My thanks to Wally and Roy both for their professional and fast service. 5 Star Service for whatever your needs may be, Thank You again Gentlemen.

My nephew got stranded near by in his truck. We both live far away. I was lucky to have read some reviews and picked this place to have it towed to and worked on. This service station was EXTREMELY helpful, friendly and honest. We had multiple problems with the vehicle and they were responsive, fair and really helped us out in a jam. I highly recommend this place. They could have easily taken advantage of our situation, but they didnt.

This place is a complete rip off!!!! I took my car in after having it checked at another place, told them what the problem was, and they charged me $80 to check something that I already knew was the problem. All I needed from this place was a quote to fix the problem and not to be told once again what the problem was ..... and when the quote to fix the problem came it was outrageous, they tried to charge me over $900.I took the car down the street to another place and was charged half of the price!If you are a female do not take the car to this place, they seem to think females are dumb!Do not go here if you are looking for good and honest mechanic!

This the first time I go to the shop and find out they are nice people as I Read from the review they help me and they get me fast the same minute and the owner he get a ride from the shop to my home and pick me latter when they finish, I like them and I prefer them to every one.

Save yourself the trouble and drive 3 minutes in either direction for better service. They charge entirely too much for small issues, also charge a service fee of $75 to do something as small as kick your tire.

Great costumer service they are so quick I was traveling and my car broke down and they replace my fuel pump and they got me going within 3 hours the price was very reasonable.

Very shoddy work. Do not take your vehicle here for anything. Took it to get a converter replaced and they didnt do a proper diagnostic and replaced the wrong converter. mechanic was very argumentative with me when I explained that a 3rd party diagnostic test had exposed major flaws in their service of my vehicle. After getting my 2nd converter and thinking my car was finally fixed, it just completely shut down in the middle of driving a few hours after I left their shop. Needless to say I will never be taking my vehicle here ever again and recommend no one else does either.

Shady people . . . They charged my 68 yr old mother $319 for a part that only cost $80 and added other fees on top of parts and labor . . . I despise people that take advantage of the elderly . . . The only reason I tried this place is because they were recommend by AAA . . . they wont get my business again

Awful service, paid to have brakes, rotors and calipers replaced since they diagnosed that as the issue with my car. Then they returned the parts I bought from advanced Auto and charged me for the job while having not done anything ($500). I noticed the problem again and called to ask why it was reoccuring. Im now in the midst of a lawsuit for scam. DO NOT TAKE YOIR VEHICLE HERE. Its not safe.

So i went to get my car inspected and they told me that the car needed over $2000 in repairs with all the issues they found. I took the same car with the receipt they gave me to another mechanic to see what they would charge to fix the issues and it was less than a grand. The new mechanic i went to pointed out that they were charging way too much and that they were wrong in their diagnostics. They even said the car had a valve cover gasket leak and when i took it to the other mechanic i found out that it preciously had a leak and it had been fixed but that the engine was not cleaned after being fixed, meaning that these guys were gonna charge me for something that did not need fixing but cleaning and they had $250 as the price to repair. They rip people off telling people that the car needs this and needs that when in fact the car does not. BE AWARE PEOPLE! TIMES ARE HARD TO BE GIVING MONEY AWAY! Get a second opinion if you still decide to take your car there. I definitely wouldnt recommend them AT ALL!

Nice guys I guess, but they quoted me $460 to repair one failed front brake line.Needless to say, I passed.

Paid 700 to have breaks done and took it back because something was wrong. They replaced the front ones again. My car never was right. But I gave up. I went to have someone else look at my car because it was so bad almost a year later. To find out the wrong size rotors were put on my car and the breaks were gone. I went back to the store to tell them and they offered me a 150 in store credit. Dont go here unless you want to be ripped off. On single girl to another!
