The offer was really good. The experience of actually selling the car took almost 5 hours. You couldnt verify the VIN # using the reading device because my car was built before that technology was put in our models. I had to go to a Lexus specialist to find that out. On my return, we called and told the person we were working with. She said she would check with corporate and call us back. When we arrived, both she and the service mgr. had left for the day knowing we were on our way back. We had to tell the new person the issue which went back and forth and finally the sale was approved. Then the person completing the paper work had issues because the daytime person had lost one of the forms and had to delete and re-input our information. We then finally finished the deal. If it wasnt for the really good offer, I would have left and just traded my car into the dealership that I had ordered my new car.

Even though, I was expecting to get a lower offer after car was inspected. I was very pleasantly surprised when this did not happen. They honored the full amount of the offer, no questions asked. I was on my way in under an hour with check in hand. I highly recommend CarMax.

It was the easiest, no tricks transaction. I had gone through Edmonds to get an idea of what my car was worth and immediately received a pop-up from CarMax that they wanted to buy it and listed their offer. And in the end thats exactly the check they cut for me. I couldnt believe it!

At the moment of inquiring about purchasing a car, the salesperson Mike was very helpful. When the purchasing approached to find a lender, the first option was from Carmax financial entity, which interest rate was 8.5% (my credit score was 780).Then I asked to send the request for the loan to my bank, which the salesperson rejected with nonsense excuses, putting at the front the possibilities to affect my credit due to many inquiries to the credit bureau.I end getting the loan on my own, which interest rate is now 2.25%.I have a week trying to reach your service department due to mechanical issues with the purchased car, leaving messages with no response.You are the same as any other car dealer when after-sales service is required.

Wouldn’t let me test drive a car I was interested in. Then claimed the reason was because I didn’t check in when I test drove a car months in the past and didn’t bang back The car with a full tank of gas which they never told me and they also never told me I had to walk back in and check in to return the car. Then I also claimed I did other things at a Fort Myers location which I have never been to in my life and when I asked about the details about that occurrence, a woman said “it’s in our system i don’t know.”

I’ve been getting my vehicles serviced at Car Max & my tech Justin is awesome.Not a fan of this location as it lack any kind of diversity. I’ve spoken to management about my concerns & claim there aware of this but I haven’t noticed any changes since returning on 3 separate occasions to purchase another vehicle. I did eventually work with Jackie since I had no other options, she was extremely professional, very helpful, respectful to my position as the customer.Update ..had to drop down to 1 star after a service appointment. I don’t know what has happened to customer service but it doesn’t exist. You’ve officially lost a customer.

The worst customer service experience in my life. I spent 4 hours at the dealer after completing the entire transaction with all approvals on line and ahead of my visit.I was told due to a computer glitch was the delay.I left without a car and not happy after I cancelled the transaction and ran away.I will never recommend, a joke of a business.

It took me three trips before submitting the correct documents.

I sold two cars recently, one through Carvana and one at Carmax. I believe Carvana was far better for selling experience. Specifically Carvana was an easier transaction (they pickup at your home), better price (difference was $200) and less wait time (15 min vs 65+ min).

We sold our car and they paid better price then the dealers. The transaction took around half hour. We didnt purchase a car from CarMax because yhey didnt have what we wanted.

Liars made a deal with them to get lone up to date and they didnt honor it. I made 3 payments in month. Did nothing to help after pandemic hit just business has usual pay or we take your car. And the people they use for recovery are bad read there reviews. I just couldnt afford to go to a real dealership.

Buyer Beware. I bought a 2018 GMC Sierra HD 2500 ($45,000.00). Before you buy a car or truck from them run it thru a car wash a few times.. They are using Paint Touch UP markers after taking the truck home an washing all the heavy wax job off it, it had hundreds of scratches on it an it was in an unreported wreck were they covered it up with paint markers. Now I have a very expensive truck that was over priced for the condition it was in. This is the second truck I have bought from them an will not recommend them to anyone anymore. Love the repeated automated response you get just goes to show they dont read any of the issues customers have.

Smaller size lot compared to some other CarMax, but service is good as well the ability to transfer in cars from other locations.

I got my loan on the car paid off and walked away with a check for myself. CarMax is a great place to sell your car, but absolutely horrendous when you try to call no matter what the department. Wait times go on for hours but in the store everyone’s standing around twiddling their thumbs.

Ive bought and sold several cars with Carmax over a number of years. Their process has always been reasonably quick, very straightforward, and easy to understand. If you sell a car to them, dont expect to get rich from the sale. Youre going to get the trade in / wholesale value every time. But what makes it worth it to sell your car to them anyway is they handle everything - paperwork, title transfer etc... The only thing you have to deal with is turning in your plate to the state. Other than that, you bring your car to Carmax and walk out with a check. If you buy a car from them, their entire process is very transparent, and best of all, involves NO high pressure sales tactics. Overall Id definitely recommend them as a place to do business with.

This place sells you cars thousands of dollars above market price. Do your research on a car and how much it’s worth before you come in here. Salesman Danny was not very good sold me a Nissan Altima for a very high price, it also didn’t have what was advertised. Many other dealerships better than this one in Naples.

Simple and fast appraisal process. Friendly and professional staff. After signing the sales contract, you walk away with cash in-hand.However, the appraisal was a 2-4% lower than Vroom and Carvana, and I didnt like was that there was absolutely no attempt to negotiate trade-in price. Frankly, I would have sold my vehicle to Vroom, but was over ruled by my spouse who wanted the cash immediately and didnt want to wait a few days until the other two vendors picked-up your car.

Worst car buying experience I ever had, and Im in my 60s! I have been trying to purchase a car at Carmax for over 38 days! Car is in service to get fluids changed and I keep getting false promises and lies on the service being done on this car. The people at Carmax in Naples FL have no clue about cars!

You lowered my estimate by 33% . Your mechanic drove it then said it needed a new transmission. I know it need a $189 dollar item because the poorly design vw had the factory extended warranty replace 3 intake manifolds on that model car ( my car) three times in the past. Your test mechanic is young, inexperienced and can’t analyze a problem.
