When I moved to Myrtle Beach I was very cautious in selecting a new hearing aid care provider. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years and was with the same great provider so changing was a bit scary.My husband and I visited the central office on Walton Drive and met with Patrick for evaluation. He made some recommendations and provided great information so we could evaluate the best options for my hearing loss. Even to the point of changing manufacturers putting my anxiety’s and concerns to rest!Thank God I responded to the mailer from Absolute Hearing Care Center. I was here 2 years before trusting a new provider – very happy to report that Patrick is a patient and considerate hearing aid technician!Dealing with Kassidy in scheduling and processing the paperwork for my new hearing aids has been smooth and easy. I was in Myrtle Beach for the summer when one of my Signia hearing aids quit working. It was determined it couldn’t be fixed locally and needed to be sent off. I was afraid it was too old but within a little over a week it came back good as new. They did an excellent job and made me feel welcomed to come back if I had any more issues.

We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and our sons hearing aid stopped working. We tried to troubleshoot it but couldnt get it to work. I just went to Absolute Hearing to replace my hearing aids. After discussing my needs, they suggested an upgrade to my existing brand Signia. This new model is amazing! Its even lighter than the ones I had before, and the sound quality is unlike any other hearing aid. They even adjust for your own voice, which can sometimes sound strange in older models. I am very happy with their recommendation, and also their customer service, and expertise in hearing tests, fittings, and follow ups. I also like the fact that they represent ALL of the brands out there. I feel like I am being paired with the best fit for ME. I have been to other places that have only a single brand, and I feel like they are sales people for that brand. At Absolute Hearing I feel they want me to have the best possible experience...and it works, I went back. And I will be back next time too, thanks guys!

I took my 92 year old mother to get new hearing aids. Jody was kind and patient, explaining every step of the process to my mom. She had been resistant to wearing hearing aids for a number of reasons but now she wears them consistently. I have been using hearing aids for over 25 years. I have had 4 sets of hearing aids from 3 different providers. All of the providers provided satisfactory professional services, hearing tests, maintenance plans, financing, adjustments and calibrations. But, I found that each of the providers sold only their hearing aid brand. I was never certain I had the best hearing aid for the costs and for my particular hearing challenges.This is where Absolute Hearing stood above all of my previous providers. They offer several different brands and models with varying degrees of technology and costs. I found Jodys objective is to fit each of his clients with the right hearing aid based on their individual needs, costs, fit,technology and comfort.Over the last few months I have visited 3 different hearing aid providers, my former provider and two from advertising mailings from the area. They all were professional and competent. Each recommended a model from their brand. I actually made arrangements to purchase a pair of hearing aids, but after going to another provider they offered the same hearing aid for $1000 less. So I switched providers.While I was waiting for delivery, I moved to a new home and met a new neighbor. He was 30 years old and he and his brother have had a 47% hearing loss since birth. Over the years he has researched all hearing aid technology available and worked with his medical hearing specialists. He actually dreams to pursue a career in hearing aid technology research. This young man educated me in hearing aid technology and the various hearing aids that are available. After listening to the concerns I had experienced with my previous hearing aids he advised me to look into a particular hearing aid, brand, model and fitting plugs.So, I cancelled my second pair of hearing aids and began searching the internet for a provider of this brand and who offered several different brands of hearing aids. Absolute Hearing Myrtle Beach seemed to fit the bill and they were right here in Market Common. Being a skeptic, I did not indicate to Jody what my neighbor had recommended.During my appointment with Jody, I found him to be professional, friendly, and very thorough. He tested me, analyzed my hearing difficulties, listened the concerns I had about wearing hearing aids, changing batteries, making adjustments and my challenges with the latest technologies, bluetooth, etc. and costs limitations and financing needs.Based on all this information Jody explained his recommendation in a very clear, concise and understandable manner. SURPRISE! He recommended the exact same hearing aid my knowledgeable neighbor had recommended.I ordered them, using the financial plan Absolute Hearing provided. (FYI: they were the least expensive of any of the other choices I had from the other providers). Since using the new hearing aids, Jody has made several adjustments based on my experience, actually connected my devise to my TV and iphone.I honestly do not realize I am wearing hearing aids. The technology and instructions Jody provided has given me the ability to focus my hearing aids on my TV, iPhone and conversations effortlessly. Jody the licensed Heaing Aid Specialist was recommended to my mother for evaluation and hearing aid, she is 91. As a retired physician myself I can without reservation recommend this facility. Jody did the appropriate testing and gave mom what would not only improve her hearing BUT ADDITIONALLY cured her tinnitus when she is wearing the hearing aids, and although she could well afford the hearing aids she fought my sisters and I for 20 years because of percieved cost. As a retired physician I too knew I had hearing loss probably from listening to loud Rock & Roll music back in the late seventies and eighties. I too was tested and what I already knew was confirmed and I to was fitted for a pair of in the canal hearing aids, because thats what I wanted. I’ve never been so impressed with a Hearing Center. I’m a professional musician and vocal coach. Like many musicians I suffer hearing loss. Or did, until I met Jody at Absolute Hearing (right by Walmart on Farrow). I have been very demanding as I get paid to hear well. The Signia products (I have Silk Primax7’s) and Jody’s technical knowledge are completely satisfying. His office manager, Ashley, is equally serving. It’s been a super experience. If you want a valid, free hearing test and a chance to try the latest and the best in discrete hearing aids give them a try. You can’t lose.

I knew we had a gem for a doctor when I heard him interact with an older gentleman, who I could clearly see was having a hard time hearing. When the doctor came out, the man explained he broke his hearing aids. The doctor acknowledged the man, and said, well we will have to fix them. With that, the older man replies, no, I cant I do not have the money. Dr. Jody, said, I WILL GET YOUR HEARING AIDS FIXED FOR YOU, AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. Now, thats true compassion!
