I had some nice exhaust tips put on my Impala in South Carolina. They were done by a friend for free. Needless to say, since this was not his specialty, they were somewhat off. I took my car to Maxi Muffler, and they tightened it right up. At a reasonable price also.

Went to take my sons Honda oddysey for some muffler work they did a pretty good job but i didnt expect it to sound like a airplane got back to my house realized my cataliytic converter was takin off and my muffler still had a huge hole in it all for $80 my son enjoys it but I sure dont thing produces way to much sound for being really slow.

Was looking for someone to fix an issue I had with my exhaust on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I thought I needed a brand new resonator. They looked and informed me that a weld had came loose and they could fix for 20 bucks. 20 bucks!!! So I skied how could they make my Jeep sound a little beefier. We discussed some options. Jeep sounds great. I was expecting to spend at least 200, so I went ahead and gave them more than 20 dollars worth of business since they were so upfront and honest about the issue. The lady behind the desk is great as well. Great customer service and friendly environment. I definitely recommend.

Maxi mufflers has been my go to for exhaust modifications. I have an antique muscle truck (1978 el Camino) with antique tags that I have LS swapped and Rays exhaust wouldn’t touch my project unless they put cats on it. (At a premium rate of course)Maxi not only let me drop my el Camino off late in the day, they waiting until I got off work to pick it up after they closed! They called me multiple times during the day to verify what I’d like done and how far they are on it. Even offered suggestions and ideas for long term goals.Truly a good, down to earth, and humble place to go. They aren’t afraid of a challenge and will accommodate you to the best of their abilities.I’m a firm believe that experience talks. These folks are great. I had a full exhaust done on my pick a couple years back. It began to rattle like something was loose, so I dropped it off at like 3pm. They took care of it no charge, it was a loose heat shield. Very great customer service for sure!!

I have a resto-rod project that I am installing an X chamber into. Its a 53 year old car and not everyone can create an exhaust for it, but there is a Michigan company with a computer program to form the basic pipes. I had them make the front pipes back to the X chamber, but I needed some short adaptors to connect it. They guessed wrong and they were too small. I knew locally they could be properly sized. First I went to my closest big name store and they didnt have the right size tool and suggested Maxi Muffler, so I went down the street to them. Not only did they have the right tool, they immediately made the revisions to my parts. I still need custom pipes to the back mufflers that will have to be formed with the car present. When that day comes, off to Maxi Muffler I will go. They can do the job.

Prices are fair and hard to beat. However there is no appointments and i had to go 4 times to get a 30 minute job completed.

I’ve been going here for the past 13 years. Just went in today to get my mid muffler and resonator deleted. Went in at 3:17 . Got out at 3:48. Speedy and a superb job! I recommend to all my friends and family. Don’t hesitate to go.

Took my car in the other day to get two mufflers installed. Dale said it would be $80 but they had to use 2 of pipe to make it fit so it was then $100 which is fine. I drive home and realize my exhaust tips are facing opposite ways and on top of it the exhaust hangers rattle

Good, good folks. This is an older shop that will give you an honest appraisal of what you need and will do the work at a very fair price. Murfreesboro is fortunate to have several excellent different type auto repair shops. Maxi is certainly one of them.

Good service. Like any shop it they cant have all the parts in stock to repair immediately, but they tell you that up front. You need to keep following up though because they get busy.

I was on a very long road trip between New York and Florida, visiting friends and family and sightseeing along the way. One morning, as I was backing out of my friend’s driveway in Tennessee, I accidentally backed into a curb at the end of his driveway and hit my left muffler pretty hard. It was barely hanging on, but I didn’t have time to take it to a shop as I was on my way to scheduled a golf tournament near Murfreesboro. All day long it was stressing me out, thinking I wouldn’t make it to a garage without losing my muffler or doing permanent damage. I found Maxi Muffler on google maps, got there about 30 minutes before they closed and they pulled my car right in. Once on the lift, the gentleman working on my car did some blowtorch work for about 10-15 minutes, brought my car back down and said it was as good as new. When I asked how much I owed them and he said “Nothing, just remember us next time you’re around”. I was speechless and very humbled. Can’t thank you guys enough for the generosity and excellent work and service. Literally saved me from a potentially problematic situation. Hopefully this review will in some way repay you.

I came in to get a new catalytic converter, and the whole process of it being attached was quick and done at a very reasonable price. I can definitely recommend this place and would likely go back if I ran into any other exhaust issues (although I hope that wont be the case!)

The noise was deafening from having a pipe sheared through just in front of the muffler on my car, and these guys jumped on it almost immediately, only charged $40, and had it done in around 20 minutes. When the older man who Id seen working on it returned the keys to me, he smiled and remarked that my 95 Altima was quiet as a mouse, now. It was, too. I highly recommend Maxi.

I took my 2015 Stage 3 Roush to get my mufflers welded or reclamped because the clamps on the mufflers were warped which caused the muffler and pipes to become loose. I got to the muffler shop at about 10AM. When I walked in, they were a little busy as two guests were in front of me and the shop already had 3 cars on the racks. Their assistant greeted me upon walking in and asked what I was there for. I explained my situation to her and she said ok hold on (was waiting on who i presumed to be the manager/owner to get done assisting their other clients.) Once he finished up with the clients that had been there before me, he turned to the woman who had greeted me and asked what I needed instead of just turning around to talk to me. After the situation was explained to him, I asked if he thought that they would just put new clamps on the pipes or weld them together and how much it would cost. His response was that he needed to look at it up on the rack before he could tell me whats going on and what I could expect to pay. He told me it would not be able to get looked at until 2PM. I was fine with that answer as I understood that every situation is different and there could have been various things my car could have needed even though I already had a pretty good idea of what the issue was. I asked if I would be charged to just have the car looked at and I was told no. 2:38 came along and I got a call from Maxi Muffler. They told me my car was done and I owed $100. I was very confused as I never even got a call to go over what the course of repair was and what the cost was. I voiced with them that I was unhappy at the fact that they took it upon themselves to go ahead and preform work on my car and charge me without first consulting with me. The woman that was speaking with me on the phone seemed confused and apologized and I told them I would be on my way to get my car and that was where on conversation ended. I then proceeded to get a call back with the manager/owner waiting to speak with me on the phone. Instead of taking the time to hear my concerns and speak with me, his instant reaction was to tell me that he was going to put my mufflers back the way they were and allow me to go get the work preformed somewhere else. That all involves taking their time to free up another bay to put my car back up on a lift cut the pipes off, then clamp them back together. All of this before he even took the time to hear me out for what I had to say. After I finally got the opportunity to say what I wanted to say, I got no apology and was told that he has been doing this for thirty years and no one has ever complained about his price and he never calls anyone unless their bill is an outrageous amount. Again, although I did have another shop that was 45minutes away willing to do the work for less, my concerns were not acknowledged. My concern was not price, but was the fact that they decided to go ahead and preform work on my car before giving me an estimate and informing me of what the course of action should be. I will say this, the quality of work they did is great and solved my issue. At the end of the day as I told the owner, I just wanted transparency and clear communication. I did not get that. Even though I could have saved $25 getting my work done elsewhere, if communicated properly I would have still gone with Maxi muffler as the 2.5mile drive would have more than made up for the 45 minute drive to North Nashville. I believe the way the situation was handled was a bit childish and will prevent me from doing business here again.EDIT:Since I made my review(s) the owner decided to reach out on Facebook and still not even acknowledge any of my concerns and further extend my bad experience after the transaction was completed therefore I have changed my 3 star to a 2 star

Ive exclusively used Maxi for over 20 years. They do excellent repair work as well as custom jobs. They are fair, efficient, and provide top notch service.

I have been going to maxi muffler for many years and even referred many people but not anymore as of today. Dropped my truck off at 9am, spoke with the owner I’m assuming and went over what I’d like done. Drove by around 2:45 and saw it sitting in the lot, no call to tell me it was done. Walked in talked with a different person at the counter he asked what I was quoted and there was no paper work written at this time, he went to the bay to ask and then came back, I was shocked at the price, I payed it no problem didn’t make a fuss, just made a remark that I should have stock in the place and went on my way... or I thought. The owner calls my phone to tell me if I wanted to buy the place for 1.5 million I could charge whatever price. I told him it was my opinion that it was overpriced for the work that they did and that it is unprofessional to call a customer to try and justify your pricing, of course he hung up on me after I said that. So I hope this helps someone else out in the future. I know the owner will read this please call me so we can set up your customer service skills class.

Read all the reviews before taking my 2017 Mustang in to get a catback system installed. Took less than an hour, folks were friendly and they even dropped my stock exhaust by my house for a $20 at the end of the day. Couldnt ask for a better experience. Highly recommend.

Horrible service! Told me that I would have to wait 2-3 hours before my truck get into the shop then 3 hours roll around, I asked then they told me Ill have to wait another 3 hours before it gets touched then a hour an half to do the job. Talks to customers while working and not worried about the next customer.
