Great ambience. Open air coffee shop with inside and outside seating. The line can be a little bit long, but it is a popular place. The espresso drinks taste excellent. The baked goods also seem to be high quality. My only real complaint is that its a bit pricey. A latte is $6. A muffin is $5.75. A latte and muffin together costs $11.75.
Authentic pumpkin spice unlike the big guys ( dunkin & Starbucks) & you can taste the Suttle pumpkin flavor. And didnt taste to sugary like the Starbucks one either. Check it out!!
Nice little coffee place for post-lunch down the street. Visited for the first time yesterday. Not a coffee drinker, but did notice the standard options one would expect were listed on the menu boards Nice to see several tea options, even three green teas. While Green Tea is my drink of choice, it is always iced. This coffee shop only had hot green tea but gave me a large glass of ice. After steeping the tea and pouring on ice, it worked out perfectly.Limited bakery choices during my visit, but they were a little different than usual so worth it. Raspberry coffeecake! Cant resist. It was a fair size and loved it was fresh, even mid-day. The baristas were helpful with suggestions on my first visit and order hereSeating inside in non-covid times would be an option with an estimated 6-8 tables. But times as they are right now, there are a few tables outside. Seems more people were taking their drink out with them and continuing with their day. My friend and I sat and continued talking which was a good experience.
Great coffee shop. Nice staff and nice place to study on the second floor.
One of the best places for real coffee with great service. We had our usual Cappuccino which had aromatic flavor and that perfect strength that you need for cold and rainy weather. Seating arrangement is bit cramped on the ground floor but on the plus side, great way to bump into people and strike impromptu conversations.
Very nice vibe to the place, it’s probably really nice just hanging out here and working on your projects, I might have been an unlucky recipient of a very average cup of coffee, other reviews rate this place highly, so I could be wrong.Been here just once, I don’t think I’ll go back unless I’m really craving coffee and the other places are closed.
Good coffee. Huge upcharge for 1 inch of steamed oat milk.
First time trying their coffee and I enjoyed it. Service was fast and staff were friendly.
This place used to be one of the best places for espresso. Unfortunately, it seems the pandemic has affected the quality. I went there recently and the espresso tasted stale. They must have switched the beans or let them go bad.
Over priced drinks and pastries. Slow service for drinks. Hot chocolate was barely warm even after ordering it extra hot and the barista who made it saying it was extra hot when she handed it.
Best coffee in the Bay Area. Great staff. Excellent outdoor seating. And it appears that the upstairs dining area istartup.Outstanding place to work on your business plan for your next startup.
Great authentic coffee place in the town. Good bean option and friendly staff :)
Nice seating and quiet space to work on a laptop. However they dont have iced coffee and the seating area closes relatively early at 3 pm.
Its a solid coffee shop. Sadly, Ive only visited since COVID so their second floor is closed. Im sure I would score higher if the normal settings were there. They display local artwork which you could purchase. They seem to have events going on at night and during weeknights. The menu is a small like a coffee shop. Theres some pastries, the raspberry crumble coffee cake was yummy. But I think thats it.
One of the best coffee in town, hot or ice.Well trained employees.
California fully reopened on June 15th, I walked in on June 20th and waited in line without a mask on(I am fully vaccinated). When it was my turn to order I was told I need a mask. I was already inside and waited all that time in line without a mask on anyway, whats the difference? I didnt have a mask on me so I just left and walked next door to get my coffee, there were no issues with me not wearing a mask there(or anywhere else either honestly). I understand that mask rules are ultimately up to the business; but if youre like me, fully vaccinated and waited patiently for June 15th to ditch your mask, dont come here. This was the first time this has happened to me since June 15th. This place needs to adapt faster. At this time, California is fully reopen, cases are extremely low, and everyone who wants a vaccine can easily get a vaccine.
Great cappuccino with the convenience of online orders.
Honey lavender latte is bliss, especially iced!
Not the best coffee shop Ive been too, but they serve coffee and provide seating, so I cant complain.
Horrible, horrible place. The staff is super snotty. Wanted to charge me $10 for a tiny brownie and a small coffee. This is a place where snooty people who think theyre trendy go. But then, its Mountain View, the home of those GOOGLE pukes.
Awesome service and vibe! we got a vanilla latte and chai tea latte. very covid conscious and overall great experience
Best Coffee shop many life changing meetings
Great coffee bean blends available! You can grab an espresso and pastries to go. Delicious!
Great place to sit and work, but Im also a fan of meeting people here. Nice local coffee shop that gives off the vibes of Silicon Valley (so it is perfect to take people from out-of-town as well!). Their chai is not my favorite, but OK in a pinch. Decent tea selection, so as a non-coffee drinker, that is usually my go-to. Overall, love the ambiance and atmosphere of this place. Upstairs particularly is great for working.
Nice place to get some work done!
This is Bay areas favorite coffee shop. First, they make great coffee. As of now they New verve coffee. Which is just great. They have great espresso based and drip coffees. Try their honey lavender latte in the season, may June. Red Rock is way more than just a coffee shop. People in the valley come here as their consistent work place with laptops and chargers and books as if it were their official workplace. The first and second floor provides enough room for everyone. Deals happen here, people meet for interviews, people have gone big from here to become CEOs and tech Giants. All in all, its a great coffee place, right on Castro Street. My personal favorites are drip coffee single brews, honey lavender latte.
Great coffee, cool vibe
The manager Jean borrowed $50 from me like six years ago and when I asked for it back she blocked my number
Great place to meet people in downtown Mountain View.
Delicious coffee and really cool building and atmosphere. Also they have many exotic coffees you wont find at Starbucks.
Its decent. Torn between 3 and 4 stars
Great coffee. Nice location.
Definitely has a Good Vibe. I enjoyed last year some early morning breakfast burritos and iced coffees here before work. It apparently has a long history but I am glad last year I enjoyed a few breaks here in downtown Castro st. in Mountain View. Stay Safe! Stay Healthy!
Great atmosphere inside, delicious coffee too! I had the hot apple cider and it was great. Make sure to stop by if youre in Mountain View!
Good drinks. Wish there was more outdoor seating.
Completely average.
Lovely coffee shot with great baked good from Midwife and Baker. Go to place for good coffee, music and culture (the latter online these days)
Why does my coffee taste like cardamom?
Best coffee in MV
Great place to meet up with friends or study. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is just right. The workers are friendly and wonderful. I have been to many cafes and not many compare to this one in the area. I could stay here for ours and there are always enough seats. There is a whole second floor with plenty of space.
Americano was delicious !
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing drinks/food.
Best coffee in Mountain View, hands down. Has been for the 28 years Ive lived here. Its that simple.
An amazing place. Some of the best espresso on the peninsula. Definitely in the top 5. Rich, strong but not burnt, perfect balance of a little bitter, caramel, a touch of acid, finishing kind of fruity. The staff is amazing, and the room has a nice funky vibe.
Coffee was great. Not much parking, FYI. I had a slice of raspberry coffee cake that was very tasty. It was my first time there. It was not very clear to me where to wait for drinks, so I just stood in the way. I would recommend going. I will be back.
Friendly? Check. Respectful of COVID guidelines? Totally! Great coffee? They serve Verve Coffee Roasters beans, which are locally roasted in Santa Cruz after coming directly from the farmers. Should you stop to grab a cup? Why are you still reading this review?! Go inside and get a cup already!Note: This place is currently struggling to pay rent due to Covid-19 affecting their business. If you value the same things I do in coffee shops, please stop by. Ill also add that during non pandemic times this place is even BETTER as they host open mics, board game nights, and have an upstairs space thats relatively quiet and always full of locals working remotely on their laptops or students studying. Please help keep this place afloat and get a coffee. Come back after Covid to see what else they have to offer.
Want a good cup of fastidious coffee? Of course you do. Get one here, and be happy.
The espresso is extremely good, nothing compared to the commercial chains, its not sour nor acidic, it really tastes like the italian one. People working there are super friendly, Alex remembers most of the customers name and its a joy to meet him in the morning! Extremely recommend!!
Was there on a weekday evening. A quiet place to get coffee, read a book, get some work down or simply view the evening pass by at Castro street. It did not appear to be a lively conversational place. We sat out but apparently there is plenty of space on the 1 st floor, very unusual to see the volume in small cup coffee would roughly be equal to a third of Starbucks tall
Decent coffee shop, popular by its location and good coffee. Tends to be really packed, youll get your basic latte and others specialty drinks just fine. But for a place that boasts some coffee tasting, they dont offer different roasts when you ask for a coffee, so it tastes a bit blend. Overall it fits the description.
One of my favorite coffee places in the area, not only because of the beautiful building.I recommend the cozy second floor with a nice view on Castro street and paintings by regional artists on display. Be early on Sunday afternoon to secure your spot.
