Took my son’s ‘92 Ford Bronco to Woodard’s October 2020 for a coolant leak. Had to take it back 4 times and we were charged over $1600. Jim, the owner, told us to take to another repair shop when it started leaking a 6th time. He refused to refund my money or pay the other shop to correctly repair the coolant leak. My name is Steve D. I have invoices and text messages to validate my claim.

Took my work truck here for a transmission clutch replacement and throw out bearing. 2 days after install big puddle under truck. After inspection, they never put the top piece on shifter housing. Leaked almost all the fluid out. Took it back in, they fixed it. But, a week later throw out bearing starts going out again and transmission starts making noises. Decide to do it myself this time. As Im under truck, notice 2 out of the 4 bolts holding my bell housing to transmission are missing. And the other 2 are almost backed all the way out. They need to do way more quality control before they say they fixed anything. Owner replied saying they have never done business with me. That is not true, I actually use to do business with their other company as well. Teddy bear car care. Which is the reason I went to Woodward.

Bought a truck private party being said, had this shop do a used vehicle inspection and I guess they just look at the vehicle open the hood and look underneath called it a day.Took it to a shop local to me to have the one issue they said it had and that was having the brakes done. To find out that the truck needs over $10,000.00 worth of work. Actually utilizing the proper tools and methods in truly inspecting a vehicle can save some one thousands. Guess this shop just doesn’t have those things. Some of the things where no oil in the truck, massive coolant leak etc... nope according to woodards it’s good to go!!! Now looking at new motor, trans and suspension!!!Guess this is why they where the only shop that had any availability when I was looking for truck shop to do an inspection.

I was passing by on I-90 and my air conditioning quit blowing cold air (95 degrees outside) Called on the phone and they got me right away. Hooked it up to a/c machine and without checking where it is leaking from filled it up with 4 pounds freon and 45 minutes later I was out and $302 billed. Expected no more then $150 since 1 hour labor is 110 dollars on commercial vehicles (poster on the wall is stating) and in every Walmart freon is 4.88 for 12 oz...Freon worth is about 30 dollars. Good margins and good rates for them...Hopefully freon will stay in until I get to Indiana.

I came in on a Sunday night to have my car looked at. It kept over heating. Though they werent open, they do have a night slot to drop my key and information into. The following morning they worked diligently to show the same symptoms so they could narrow down what is happening. I had already had the thermostat changed earlier that week. Though no further problems found, they did a full check of the car and got me back on the road to continue my road trip to Devils Tower. Thank you so much for helping me on my journey!

I have had several car services done at Woodard’s in Moses Lake. Every time I’ve gone in, the customer service has been very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve taken all 3 of our family’s cars there, a Chevy Malibu, my husbands car, a Volvo and our GMC truck. We’ve had our brakes done, our transmissions flushed and other car services. I am extremely happy with the service that we received and will continue to have our cars maintained there.

I brought in a recently purchased 94 suburban right around memorial day. It had no working brake lights, and interior lights etc and no ac. The mechanic called me and said that the previous owner had used higher rated fuses in the fuse panel, and burned out the wiring.Fast forward about 3 weeks, still no truck. Communication was little, I was periodically calling for status updates and always felt like an inconvenience. I was looking at the fuse panel yesterday, and four fuse slots (20,20,25,5) had higher rated fuses in them, that were a different style than what was in there. There was three 30 amp fuses and one 7.5 amp fuse in those slots, respectively. I dont intend on paying 1804 dollars again, so I removed those fuses and put in the correct ones and wont be going back to Woodard for future needs. The mechanic himself called me and said how bad it was to put in higher rated fuses, prior to the truck being released to me about one month after bringing it in. Im hoping this wasnt some scam, but the alternative of negligence isnt exactly any better.

Called me 30 min later told me what was wrong and how much to fix, I gave them the go ahead. They had it fixed by that afternoon, best service from a auto repair shop I have ever gone too. This place really had the chance to make things good and decided not too.. my husband, 4 kids and I were traveling from olympia to silverwood. We broke down near this shop and they said they would fit us in. They said they knew enough about deisals. We unhooked our camper and let them look at it. They took 6 hours and charged me 441 dollar to replace the fuel fliter. Witch we told them it was done just two weeks ago. (For just 200) The guy working on the truck said he knows but he was sure there was water in gas. He drained the gas and told us we would be good. I expressed that I was worried cause I didnt want to get back on the road with 4 kids just to brake down again. (Since I know he replaced something that was already done) he said he was sure it would be fine.. they closed shop and sent us on our way. We broke down 15 min down the road. Had to get a tow for the trailer and truck and it wasnt cheap. The fuel fliter wasnt the problem at all. When I called and told him he really put us in a bad spot on the freeway not to mention the tow cost I asked if he would refund just the labor cost. I understand that I dont want him to be out money. But I didnt want to be out money either. He said he would of needed more time I dont understand that cause if they needed more time they why send us away on our trip. He said he would give me a free oil change. Knowing I live 5 hours away. They over changed us and didnt even fix the right thing. I waited 2 months for them to atleast compromise but nothing.

I took 2 cars to Woodard, a 2002 Ford F250 that they replaced a fuel line on (rather expensive but polite and friendly so I didnt mind) then I also asked them to take a look at my 65 Mustang that was had a T5 Tremec that was stuck in reverse.Short Story I would have been better off going else where with the mustang. They picked up the mustang and started it, it started right up. So they take it off to the shop and 3 days later I get a call that its just the shifter that broke so I buy a new short throw shifter and have it mailed to them. I get the call the mustang it ready and I go and pay, later in the day they are dropping it off at my place and the tow truck driver forgot the keys to the mustang. I said no worries I will follow you back to your shop and get the keys so you dont have to make two trips. I do this and everything seems fine. But when I get home and go to move the mustang from the street into the driveway it wont start. It sounds like the starter isnt engaging and is just spining free.I called back to ask what happened and I am pretty much just told the guy who worked on my car is 67 years old and he knew what he was doing. After they told me they had to rock the engine to get it to start in the shop, and that they had issues with it in the shop. Which they never mentioned to me once until after I complain that it isnt starting. I asked why they were starting it and messing with the engine if they just needed to replace the shifter and I am told he is no longer going to deal with me and hangs up.I also was told he was on vacationt the week before and now the guy who was here last week is on vacation, I asked if that was somehow my fault? Does the client need to check with them to see who is on vacation and when before giving them work? Do we need to watch your schedules? This mustang would start without issue, and now I have a serious problem that will cost me twice the amount as the original repair...DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CONDITION!

I left town for a month, while i was gone, my mothers car wouldnt start so after checking alternator we called on teddybear car care, And they said oh yea our SHOP, WOODWARD long story short, after replacing things such ALTERNATOR, radiator, water pump, spark plugs, etc over 1100.00 and two days after getting it back it WOULDNT start again, not only that the heater core is not sounding like there is running water, which main man at woodward claims is normal, car never. Did that before, it took my mom two days to get them to come get again three days later THE MAN MAN at woodward calls my disabled mother, the day before christmas to tell her, in no uncertain terms that it had to take it to les schwab to get a new battery, which was under warranty!!!!! Then this man preceeded to yell at my mother on christmas eve about her attitude w his mechanic (i now know the difference btwn mechanic and a parts changer) and that she should be lucky he doesnt charge her the 400 he spent that day to change the battery out, which from the sounds of this that was the issue the whole time!!!!Im sorry to report, our experince is they are bad company that take advantage of people, and obviously if given the opportunity they ALONE cant fix!!!
