Not only did I get my sideview mirror repaired like new, Bill excels at customer service throughout the entire process. He found the mirror, confirmed the price with me, had it painted and then installed.Continuing for a subsequent visit: I was (past-)due for a 30,000-mile brake fluid and transmission fluid change, so I had that done at this appointment. Bill estimated the time and cost for me in advance, when I made the appointment. They finished 30+ minutes earlier than expected, and the total was even a couple dollars below the estimate; Bill even honored a coupon I had that expired the week before.

A Local Treasure! I recently returned to the area after living away for a couple of years. One of the best things was again being proximate to Morton Grove Auto and Truck. Even though I still worry about what future repairs my older cars will bring- Bill and his team changed that for me. I’m not the type of person who would refer a business unless I’m 100 percent positive about the business. Morton Grove Auto is one of those businesses . They do great work and stand behind what they do. They quoted me a price on a complete brake job and some exhaust work but when the work was finished the bill was a lot less than the quote. Because they didn’t have to use some of the hardware they saved me money. I’m sure there are other businesses that would have charged me the original price. So if you don’t have a mechanic and need one you can trust Morton Grove Auto is where you should go.

This place is great. I have been going there for 15 years and they are honest and helpful. The owner Bill is a great and funny guys. He is a straight shooter and has not hidden extra cost. I have been getting my car serviced at Morton Grove Auto since I started to drive and had my first car so for about 20 years. My parents started to go when Bill was working out of a Shell gas station so my family has been customers for many many years. I have since moved out of the area but I still make the drive a few times each year for service.Every time I go Bill makes the effort to ask about me. He always seem interested in my job or what I have been up to. Although my parents have stopped going to him he always ask how they are doing. He gets to know his customers. Been going there for years BECAUSE they do a thorough check of everything that could possibly go wrong and tell you its status, but dont try to fix things that dont need fixing. Their work is accurate, and given in a friendly matter. I think of them more as good friends than I do as just good mechanics. Theyll go out of their way for you too, as they did when my battery went dead, parked facing a wall in my condo basement. They came over and attached a better battery than youd get from any roadside service. Granted that was several years ago, but ill never forget it.

Bill and the team performed the 15k service on my Lexus LS ten days ago. As usual, for the last 25+ years, they were thorough, competent,professional and forthright about what work it actually needed.According to the Lexus maintenance schedule the car was supposedly due for a tire rotation. After they checked the tread depths it wasnt necessary so they didnt do it. This is one VERY small example of the type of honest service I have received over those 25 years and you will too.What more would you want when dealing with any business? When I moved 15 miles away 12 years ago I always brought my car to them as they were well worth the drive. Soon Ill be moving a bit further. Morton Grover Auto is the only service center my cars will see after that move as well.

While. I appreciate the quality of the work performed by Morton Grove Auto, its really the trust that the service I receive is the service I need. Most of us know so little about cars that we need to trust our auto mechanic. I trust Bill, Sean and John implicitly. Over the years, Morton Grove Auto has serviced all four of the cars that that we have owned at the same time. One example of the trust is simply being told that it was time to get rid of one of our cars. Instead, they could have looked at it as sort of an annuity. They didnt, however.

My 2008 Hyundai Sante Fe which was services regularly was needing a LOT of work after warranty expired. The dealer really screwed me for service. I needed $3,000 if wirk and I really didn’t have the money nor did I think it would be a good idea to invest it in an older car with 110,000 miles. I asked the gentleman who was helping me and he said “get rid of-this car”. You know that’s an HONEST mechanic. I am grateful I sold the car and got a new used car at Carmax. Took car in for recommended scheduled maintenance at 66K miles. The shop not only performed the requested maintenance but also thoroughly checked other items. They found a leak in the coolant system and bad rear shocks. The shop explained and shown me the problems and gave me a cost estimate. Work was done satisfactorily and slightly less then estimated. Since the repair took several days, I was given a loaner car to use. When I picked up the car, I was given a detailed summary of what was checked and a complete itemized bill. They even washed the car. Im very satisfied..
