The best mechanic. Honest, knowledgeable, friendly, price is suitable for the repair and will give you the right advice for the repair required and never fools you. He returned life to my Pontiac Grand Prix 2007 (not working) after taking it to 8 mechanics (including engine builders place) many times for years and this guy fixed it in only one visit with amazing price. Also fixed my Dodge Journey 2010 in less than one day; the dealer of Dodge was not able to fix it even after five visits. Try this place and you will not regret it.

The Holy Grail of repair shops! Finally after many years of searching, I found the greatest place on the north shore for automotive repairs. These guys, Lee and Scott are not only experts, knowledgeable, skilled and HONEST, They are fair and do great work. They work on anything, classics, domestic and imports, if they cant fix it, they will tell you. No body work. I will never go to anyone else. No need to go to a dealer, try them and you will also be a believer!

So I had a really good experience with proauto. I actually just went in for them to check out my car because I had this weird noise coming from my car the past few days. I gave them a call and told me they would at least have someone take a drive with me to check and hear it. Apparently it was my backing plate causing the sounds. I believe it was the manager that came with me and was able to fix it quick. Mice moved into our car when Covid hit, since we werent driving to work and our second car was just street-parked, untouched, for 6 months. They chewed through some wires and made a nest in the blower motor. It was gross.Pro Auto took care of the problem in under 3 hours for a price that was half what the other companies quoted us.Their attitude is blunt - you know exactly what youre going to get, and they dont mince words. Its oddly refreshing and off-putting at the same time. Given that the blunt-honesty is backed up with competence and affordability, its great, and it makes me happy.Finding a mechanic you can trust is an absolute win.5 stars - theyre our first call for everything car-related now.

My 2014 Buick Regal T needed a new front end suspension. My experience with ProAuto is beyond 5 stars. I first spoke with Scott over the phone who was extremely helpful and patient. He shared a great price and called me right back as promised. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Lee and Tina who gave such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to ProAuto. This place was amazing! I moved here from SC 6months ago and as you know its always hard finding a talented, trustworthy, moderately priced mechanic. My friend suggested ProAuto and this is my new go to mechanic shop. They changed my oil, rotated my tires and didnt pressure me into buying anything additional (Which is huge for me). They suggested some maintenance but didnt make me feel like if I didnt do it today my car would fall apart. Im happy to have found a local shop that feels like family.Thank you.

Just had an amazing experience at Pro Auto in Morton Grove, Illinois. My windshield wipers froze and snapped off my front windshield due to cold weather. Once they were able to get the part, it took them no time at all to repair the problem I am so happy and relieved. The establishment was very clean. Lee and Scott (who helped me) were very knowledgeable, but most important to me, they were honest.! I highly recommend this Pro Auto for all your automotive needs and repairs.

I called to get the engine light on checked. Scott was very professional he explained to me what is going to be done and how long. I made an appointment. My dad took the car in and he was very satisfied with the service. He was told that it will take longer for the things that needs done to the car. He was given a choice of being dropped off and picked up as soon as the service is done. They are prompt and professional. Just had a incredible experience with Pro Auto in Morton Grove ! By far the nicest most professional auto repair shop Ive ever been to. I went to 4 other shops for an estimate before ending up there and not only was the place clean not one of them took the time that Leroy did to explain to me what the problems where. His price was actually cheaper then the others and the level of professionalism is unbelievable I would highly recommend anyone needing their vehicles fixed to check them out ! I doubt youll be disappointed !

Had 2 of our cars fixed here. My car needed a muffler check and now my car doesn’t sound obnoxious. The staff were all helpful. When asking about pricing they were open about answering questions and had pretty fair deals. Will probably come back! Highly recommendCOVID: The shop was open so a lot of air flow, they had chairs set at least 6 feet apart from each other. Felt safe

My alternator needed replacement along with my heat shield. My son told me that he thought those were the issues. I did not tell the owner what I thought was wrong. Sure enough those were the two issues. The owner did not try to sell me any other work. He told me what to expect with respect to the life of my tires. He charged me a fair price. The shop is clean and the owner is a straight up honest guy. This is my new go to place.

I live a few houses down from Pro Auto Shop and decided to give them a try when my car needed an oil change. Spoke with Scott and he was able to get me in right away and charged a very fair price compared to other places for a synthetic oil change. I knew my brakes were due and he also replaced my rear pads and rotars and was honest about the life I had left on the front ones. They had me in and out did a great job. I’ll def be using them for any maintenance needs especially because I can just walk home instead of waiting!

Didnt even charge me for coming to look into why my car wouldnt start. I will continue to use them as my go-to auto-repair shop and emergency number. I thought it was the battery, but was told in good faith and honesty that it was probably not the battery.

I highly recommend this shop! We went in for service on two of our vehicles and had a wonderful experience. In addition to being conviently located, this shop had all the latest in modern equipment that ensures a quality repair. Leroy and Scott were great to deal with and Leroy is an outstanding mechanic! The shop was clean and all staff wore a mask and provided hand sanitizer for customer use. Horrible customer service!!! I called ProAuto on Dec. 22 to set up an appointment for an oil change. The representative hung up the phone twice without answering it. On the third time, he answered with a gruff hello. Then he berates me for calling so many times as if Im trying to stalk him. I was just calling to try to get my damn oil changed! Needless to say, I called the autoshop down the road. Hope they go out of business with that kind of rudeness.

So I had an issue for a few days with my drivers side wheel well making some noise. My 10yr old daughter even noticed. Took it over there today, dropped it off and walked home. The owner, Lee, calls me and says he cant really find anything, asked if he could come by my house and pick me up so we could look it over together. (masked up and sitting in the back seat for distance). Not only is the noise gone (probably something stuck in the wheel well that worked its way out) Lee put it on the lift, inspected the car, told me its safe and good to go .......and................he wouldnt take a dime for his time. No $50, $100 inspection fee, no mysterious Flux Capacitor that needed to be fixed for $200. Nothing, just real good down to earth honest work. He will be my go to from now on.
